
Os Guinness
Os Guinness is an author and social critic, born in China during World War II to medical missionary parents. Expelled during the 1949 Chinese Revolution, he was educated in England, earning his undergraduate degree from the University of London and a D.Phil in social sciences from Oxford.
He has written or edited over 30 books, including The Call, Time for Truth, A Free People’s Suicide, The Magna Carta of Humanity, and The Great Quest (2022). Since moving to the U.S. in 1984, he has served as a Guest Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center, the Brookings Institution, and as Senior Fellow at the Trinity Forum. He was the lead drafter of the Williamsburg Charter (1988) and The Global Charter of Conscience (2012).
Os has spoken at major universities and global political and business conferences. He lives with his wife, Jenny, in the Washington, D.C. area.
