NCRI Women's Committee
We work extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintain a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women’s rights organizations and NGO’s and the Iranian diaspora. The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Council meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues, and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime’s misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.

Episode 3
Iranian girls face a myriad of challenges, including violence, forced marriages, school dropouts, and lack of access to medical care. Despite these obstacles, however, Iranian girls are showing extraordinary courage and determination, actively participating in protests against the regime.
The roots of this defiance can be traced back to the 1979 Revolution, when thousands of teenagers rose up against the Shah, seeking freedom and an end to dictatorship. Many of these young activists paid the ultimate price, executed by the newly established clerical regime. Yet, their spirit of rebellion lives on in today's generation of Iranian youth.
