This week, the show is light on the meows as Kyle banned his cat from the room. But that didn’t stop us from discussing politics such as Indiana passing Senate Bill 101, which gives businesses the right to refuse service to same-sex couples. From there we talked about the reasons provided by Final Fantasy 15’s director for the game’s all-male cast, Halo coming to PC but as a free-to-play multiplayer title for Russia, and how those lucky kids in Ireland will learn by using Minecaft. Of course, we didn’t stop there. The crew also wondered how Google will handle contracts for live streamers if its YouTube Live platform is re-launched for eSports and video game streaming and talked about how a remade version of Super Mario 64’s first level looks great on the PC. By the way, did you know that Valve is giving away its Vive headset for free to applying developers and that Kyle is still not impressed with VR? Then things really get interesting as we talk about Twitch co-founder’s comments that “the seven-year upgrade lifecycle doesn’t work in the face of the two-year upgrade cycles for every other hardware platform.” And, of course, we had to talk about Zelda U being delayed. The question is, does this mean that the new Zelda game will still be for the Wii U or will it be released on the NX? Feel free to weigh in on the discussion right meow!
