The crew discusses Nintendo posting a profit for the first time in a while and the reason for it. Then there is the reveal from Sony that it has sold 13.5 million PlayStation 4s, widening the gap between it and Microsoft’s Xbox One, yet still posts a $1.2 billion loss (Microsoft has yet to tell us how many XB1s it has sold). The crew also talks about how feasible it is to bring legal action against GamerGaters, which is what game developer Brianna Wu wants to do and is starting up a legal defense to that effect. The crew also talked about a number of indie devs that have formed a group to help promote each other’s Greenlight projects on Steam. Which makes us wonder if this is a dishonest and lazy tactic on their part. Finally, we wonder if Microsoft’s $50 price drop for the Xbox One will help the company sell more units during the holiday season.
Show Notes
$131.5 million profit for Nintendo, 13.5 million PS4s sold, Brianna Wu, Project Greenlight, and Xbox One sales are all discussed this week.
