Jay Lawrence at Disney
Welcome to the Z Michelson Travel Podcast. This podcast is devoted to the travel industry. Z says let your imagination run wild and start dreaming about where you want to go. And dream big, reach for the stars, and if you only get to the moon, at least you enjoyed the trip.
SPEAKER_02:Hey, it's Z. Michelson here, and I am sitting here poolside with Mr. Jay Lawrence, who just recently returned from a local trip at Disney World. And all of the fun things that Disney has to offer. Hey Jay, how's it going?
SPEAKER_03:Well, you when you say all the things Disney has to offer. You only use a little of it. I would yes. I would be so thin by that time. Speaking of the thin, you know, that the weekend I was there was the one of those running weekends.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, it's a marathon.
SPEAKER_03:Marathon weekend. And part of the family that I go with, uh, they run in the marathons.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, cool. My daughter's father-in-law and her brother-in-law run in the marathons as well.
SPEAKER_03:Did they run together?
SPEAKER_02:I uh they run together, and but they don't they weren't in this last one. They usually come down in the January cold months.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:So did you go see the running?
SPEAKER_03:Are you kidding me? They have to get up at three in the morning to the starting gate at the Ebcot parking lot, and they're running in the dark.
SPEAKER_02:They are, yeah. Yeah, they're running the dark through the parks.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Over Glendale.
SPEAKER_03:I'm thinking about doing the half marathon.
SPEAKER_02:So are you training now?
SPEAKER_03:Oh, yeah, I'm in training.
SPEAKER_02:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:Of walking.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, you're gonna walk the marathon and not run.
SPEAKER_03:They have walkers, I guess. And you can do it, and but you gotta watch out for the trash lady in the back. Because if the trash lady catches up with you, they kick you out, put you on a bus, and take you back to the starting, I guess.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, I didn't know about that.
SPEAKER_03:I can't remember who I heard that from, but someone was telling me about that.
SPEAKER_02:It's the end of the line type of thing.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:And of course, what did you do there if you didn't go see the truth?
SPEAKER_03:We went over on a Thursday. Okay. You know, we live close enough to we we're close enough to Disney that you know, we could drop in anytime. Right, we're locals, but we're there Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
SPEAKER_02:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:So we got there on on Thursday and we were staying at a DVC resort.
SPEAKER_02:Did the vacation club?
SPEAKER_03:They DVC Vacation Club with at and we were at the Wilderness Lodge. Oh Copper Creek. Lodge attached to the lodge, the lodge, yes, three buildings down. Where that's where we're at. Yeah, we didn't stay in the cabins. I guess the cabins on the lake, you know. Have you seen those cabins? I have 400 points a night or something. It's ridiculous. So yeah. So we weren't quite set for that.
SPEAKER_02:So that's where you went.
SPEAKER_03:But we were at Copper Creek, yeah. And so uh uh the Thursday, my wife and I we got there and we kind of walked around and got on a boat and took a boat ride over to the Magic Kingdom.
SPEAKER_02:So you took the boat to the Magic Kingdom, yeah. Okay, how was the boat ride?
SPEAKER_03:Oh, it was phenomenal.
SPEAKER_02:Was it long? Was it short? Was it a big boat?
SPEAKER_03:It's like 15 uh minutes uh to get to get there. Okay, and yeah, it was just it was a beautiful day. Had a beautiful weekend to get to go there, so it's not exactly a Florida day. You know, it's beautiful.
SPEAKER_02:Beautiful, a beautiful day was probably a nice little breeze blowing, not too hot, not too cold.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, and so we got to the Magic Kingdom. They said, All ashore, going ashore. Well, we weren't going to the Magic Kingdom, so we stayed on the boat and went back to Wilderness Lodge.
SPEAKER_02:So we just kind of did a boat ride. Did a boat ride to enjoy the boat ride.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, my wife loves to be on the boat, so hey, get her on a boat is meant. And you know, have you seen the fact that they're actually running big boats from Wilderness Lodge to no, I haven't seen it.
SPEAKER_02:So the Magic King is it the size of the ferries that they yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03:Wow, and I don't know where they got the ferry, I don't know where that got that, but uh so they're running big boats. So we get back to Wilderness Lodge, and it's basically time to relax, you know. And so we went to the Geyser Bar, Geyser Grill and Bar, which have the little geyser coming out. Well, no, it's it's over there, but you know, you can see Bay Lake, and it's a nice setting.
SPEAKER_02:Okay. So it sounds like you went to Disney to relax.
SPEAKER_03:Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02:Not many people go to Disney to relax. Usually when they go to Disney, they run, running, running.
SPEAKER_03:Well, yeah, and I hate to say, you know, that's part of the problem.
SPEAKER_02:Right. With you know, that uh you and your wife have passes, so you don't have to do the running, running, running.
SPEAKER_03:Running, running, right, right. And like you said, there's so many things to be done.
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_03:Like you can't do everything in one day.
SPEAKER_02:So that's what you did on day one?
SPEAKER_03:Day one was Thursday, kind of relaxed, just kind of group it up.
SPEAKER_02:Okay. So uh Right, because you were going with her her daughters, yes, and the children, yes, kids, yes, and that's fun.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, so Friday morning, I woke up and discovered that oh my goodness, I forgot my medications.
SPEAKER_02:Well, can easily go home, but well, exactly.
SPEAKER_03:That's exactly what I did. It's an hour, it was an hour drive for it.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03:So they went, they ended up going to uh Ebcot.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_03:Without you, without me. Okay, can you believe it? They went without me. Mo, but I'm bummed. So I run back and I I have to catch up with them, but they're in the magic cake, not the magic king. They were actually in Epcot and Imagineering.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, so that's where you caught up with them back if he back at the Epcot.
SPEAKER_03:And so we've got to see Figment and and it's a cute little show. The greatest thing was I've gone on that several times lately, and there's been no line, you know, like like walk right on. This time you had to wait. Wow. There was a line, it was so exciting because you got to wait, and the show was so much better.
SPEAKER_02:Really? I can't imagine more. But you know, you went on this now. How were the crowds at Disney?
SPEAKER_03:Yes, there were crowds there.
SPEAKER_02:Yes, there were crowds.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. Of course, they were doing the wine and cheese festival or whatever that's what that was going on at the time.
SPEAKER_02:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:So uh on Friday it wasn't as bad as it was on Saturday.
SPEAKER_02:Right. Usually the weekends are extremely crowded.
SPEAKER_03:Right, right.
SPEAKER_02:Um, they also have they don't they call lightning passes now or something similar to that, but you do have to pay for those.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Uh which is a little different from what people might have remembered.
SPEAKER_03:Text passes. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:So these are a little bit different. You do pay extra and then you get on. Hey, bug. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_02:Um, so usually when I go to Disney, if the line is more than an hour, I move on somewhere else. Now, what about you guys?
SPEAKER_03:Well, that's what we do too. Okay, we look at those kind of things. So we went, uh you know, one thing I have to do when I go to EBCOT is to see the American exhibit. You gotta go see the American and I always get teary-eyed. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:It's the same, it's the show that I've seen all the time, but I always get teary-eyed anyway.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. Oh Merrick, oh Merrick. Yeah. So we also, uh, my brother-in-law and I, we uh is it my brother-in-law or my son-in-law? Son-in-law. We actually I shared wife's daughter's husband. Yes. I I got a I had a beer and we went to the uh England. Oh, you went to England, where there's a band concert area. You know, and we saw a a band, I don't remember their name, and it was a good show, and so we enjoyed that. And then we then we did the American exhibit, right? And then you got to tell me what the band name was. I think you're talking about who say it was so you've seen them the biggest rock show I have ever seen in my life.
SPEAKER_02:You know, you're not a rock and roller, Jay, so I'm surprised you went.
SPEAKER_03:Well, yeah, it was fun. Yeah, it was fun, yeah. And the band said, We can't believe we've been here four years in a row.
SPEAKER_02:Wow. Yeah, they come every year. Now we are getting closer to the holiday season. Were they starting to decorate for the holidays while you came there?
SPEAKER_03:No, we were still in the holiday of uh Halloween. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:We were still in the Halloween time frame.
SPEAKER_03:Thank you for reminding me. I'll go back next week and we'll see the holiday.
SPEAKER_02:I always used to love in Epcot this the Christmas stories where you went from country to country of how they celebrate the holiday.
SPEAKER_03:Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02:I always thought that was fun.
SPEAKER_03:Well, you should do a podcast on that.
SPEAKER_02:I should do a podcast on it if I ever get back there again. So now tell me, you went to Epcot, you've seen uh the bands, you've seen your things. Did you eat there? What you know, what did you what did you eat?
SPEAKER_03:Boy, that's a good question. I think we went back to the Geyser Grill.
SPEAKER_02:So you went back.
SPEAKER_03:Geyser Grill keeps coming up.
SPEAKER_02:Oh you like that place.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. No, we didn't need an Epcot. That's that's a definite.
SPEAKER_02:Okay. So that was like on I'm surprised you didn't need an Epcot because that my husband loves Germany.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:When we go, he loves to eat in Germany. It is a buffet style, but it is kind of like a beer garden type of thing where you sit at the table with other people, and it's a very friendly atmosphere.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. But I I got uh in England, I got a new beer.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, the name of the beer?
SPEAKER_03:Harp. H-A-R-P.
SPEAKER_02:HARP beer. And how did you like it? Was it a light beer? A dog?
SPEAKER_03:Light beer? And I had two or three glasses.
SPEAKER_02:My my. So are you sure you're an Epcot?
SPEAKER_03:Yes, I'm sure I was in Epcot. Now there's a s we'll talk about that uh later.
SPEAKER_02:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:So um, so that was my day in uh what do you call it? Epcot. Epcot.
SPEAKER_02:And then you went back to the lodge. Right. And then you had at the Geyser Grill.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:You did that.
SPEAKER_03:Saturday. Now again, why did I have to end up running to find the family? I do not remember that.
SPEAKER_02:Are you sure you were with them?
SPEAKER_03:Yes. So Saturday uh we met up at the uh Mickey's Runaway Railroad.
SPEAKER_02:That Mickey's Runaway Railroad, which is at Hollywood Studios.
SPEAKER_03:Yes. Oh, say, I'm sorry, Saturday. We're going to the Hollywood Studios.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, so you're at Hollywood Studios now.
SPEAKER_03:And uh we looked at the Runaway Railroad line.
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_03:161 minutes. Whoa. Whoa.
SPEAKER_02:That's over two hours.
SPEAKER_03:Yes.
SPEAKER_02:Whoa, is right.
SPEAKER_03:You know what?
SPEAKER_02:You didn't get on that.
SPEAKER_03:We didn't do that.
SPEAKER_02:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:Done it before, but didn't do it this time.
SPEAKER_02:Have you seen have you been on it already?
SPEAKER_03:Yes.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, I have not seen it as yet. It used to be the movie ride. Right. Right.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. Yeah. And I'm going, wait, wasn't uh didn't we just see Judy Garland's?
SPEAKER_02:Right. Wasn't Judy Garland just sing? Was Gene Kelly doing singing in the rain?
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:I would miss that.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, yeah. So but the outside is still there.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, the it's still Groman's Chinese thing.
SPEAKER_03:Okay. But I just saw a movie about uh Groman's in Los Angeles.
SPEAKER_02:I've been there several times.
SPEAKER_03:Have you?
SPEAKER_02:In Los Angeles?
SPEAKER_03:Tell me about it. Did you enjoy it?
SPEAKER_02:I had fully.
SPEAKER_03:Did you go in for a movie?
SPEAKER_02:No.
SPEAKER_03:No.
SPEAKER_02:I just did the footprints. Yeah. But I didn't try to steal John Wayne's like Lu Silball and good.
SPEAKER_03:So when we get to uh Hollywood Studios, from there, we always go to Toy Story Land.
SPEAKER_02:Okay. You know, I have not been on that ride.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Every time my husband and I have gone, we'd get on the line, we'd get all the way down, and then the line would break.
SPEAKER_03:Oh no.
SPEAKER_02:So I have yet to be on that ride.
SPEAKER_03:You know, I always want to be, I always want to ride the slinky dog dash, the roller coaster.
SPEAKER_02:The roller coaster.
SPEAKER_03:My eyes are always on it, but the line is so long there to get on that as well.
SPEAKER_02:So um what what that's like an old child roller coaster ride.
SPEAKER_03:Right. Yeah. Right. It looks like a roller coaster that I could ride on.
SPEAKER_02:So what did you do when you were at Hollywood Studios?
SPEAKER_03:We went to the alien uh saucer, Lenin Falcon.
SPEAKER_02:Oh Star Wars.
SPEAKER_03:Star Wars, yeah. Big time. Big time.
SPEAKER_02:Did you uh battle with the lightsabers?
SPEAKER_03:No, no. One of my grandsons has got one though. Oh, does he? Yeah. That was one thing he got a couple of years, a couple of a year ago, I guess.
SPEAKER_02:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:So we we went on the uh Millennium Falcon smugglers run.
SPEAKER_02:Ooh, that sounds oh yeah. Is that fair? Is it a roller coaster? What is it?
SPEAKER_03:It's a well, it's a simulator.
SPEAKER_02:A simulator.
SPEAKER_03:But there's six people in it that you are on a mission.
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_03:You're and you're flying this, you're flying this vehicle, this millennium falcon vehicle. And I was the engineer. Oh. There's two pilots up front, right? Co-pilots and then engineers. And I was an engineer. And you had to push buttons. And I didn't quite understand it, but it was phenomenal. Yeah, it was phenomenal. I will admit it was phenomenal.
SPEAKER_02:You like that ride?
SPEAKER_03:It was phenomenal.
SPEAKER_02:Attraction, as Disney likes to put it. They're not rides, they are attractive.
SPEAKER_03:I think I would do it again. I think I would do it again. But the line, of course, there the line was about 59 minutes.
SPEAKER_02:That's not too bad.
SPEAKER_03:Not bad. Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes they always um.
SPEAKER_02:But again, you were there on a Saturday.
SPEAKER_03:Right. That was a Saturday. Yeah. Yeah. So I I might want to go back and do that again.
SPEAKER_02:Right. Well, you have your annual passes.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Which is, you know, for people living in Oh, don't mention that.
SPEAKER_03:I gotta renew it.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, you gotta renew your pass.
SPEAKER_03:Funny. At the end of the year, they want us to renew.
SPEAKER_02:Uh that's what they do. Well, that's good. So you did all of that. Now, what about dinner that night?
SPEAKER_03:Well, we ate at the uh commissary.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, the commissary. That was on Hollywood Studio Prize.
SPEAKER_03:Right, right. Right. So then everybody said, Well, let's do this, let's do that, let's do that. And me, I didn't want to do this. I didn't want to do this.
SPEAKER_02:How many people were all together in YouTube?
SPEAKER_03:Seven in the group.
SPEAKER_02:Seven total?
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. And usually when there's, you know, when there's more than five, everybody wants to go in different directions.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, yeah. So I decided I was gonna, I said I'm gonna go back to the room.
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_03:Go back. I really was thinking about going back to the grill, the bar.
SPEAKER_02:Well, it's a nice, a nice view.
SPEAKER_03:So I'm walking out of the Hollywood studios, right? And there's forms of transportation. There's the skyliner, right? There's the buses, and then there's the boats.
SPEAKER_01:Right.
SPEAKER_03:So I decided to take the freedom, freedom ship boats. And I decided, why don't I go to Epcot? Because actually, some of the kids were going to Epcot. I just decided, you know, why don't I kind of meet them there? But I'm going so I did it all on my own. I got on a boat. I got on the boat from Hollywood and the city. And the and the boat goes to the Swan and Dolphin, the Yacht and Beach Club, right? The boardwalk. And then ends up in Epcot.
unknown:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:It's a beautiful boat ride.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, it's absolutely. And I know the boardwalk, and I know the Swan and Dolphin. Oh, yeah. And I know the beach club, and they are beautiful resorts.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. And it went floating past all of those.
SPEAKER_03:Well, they die you pick up passengers along the way. Drop off, pick up.
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_03:And so I get to Ebcot.
SPEAKER_02:And I think it pulls in right around France, doesn't it?
SPEAKER_03:England.
SPEAKER_02:England.
SPEAKER_03:Closer to England. France is across the bridge.
SPEAKER_02:Across the water.
SPEAKER_03:And so I'm going. This is where harp comes back in. So I'm going there. I'm I'm walking over to England and I'm looking at the line or as a line two blocks long to get a beer.
SPEAKER_02:Really?
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Was the beer that popular or it was just that hot that day?
SPEAKER_03:I don't know. There was it was that crowded. You know, compared to Friday, Saturday. I mean, Friday, I could just walk up basically two people and they're, you know. I mean, it was it wasn't worth it. So so I didn't want to.
SPEAKER_02:So you didn't get it. Now you're now you're in Epcot. When did the rest of the gang meet up with you?
SPEAKER_03:Well, we met up and um I walked and I walked and I walked. And then I walked back.
SPEAKER_02:I walked some more.
SPEAKER_03:I walked over to Japan. Oh, then he said, We're in Japan. So I'm walking towards that way. No, we're in England or America now. Okay, I'm walking no more. We're in Germany now.
SPEAKER_02:So they're they're running ahead of you basically. They were ahead of me.
SPEAKER_03:Didn't catch up with them. Finally, I caught up with them and made the decision. I said, I'm going back to the room.
SPEAKER_02:Well, for people who don't know, when you're in the lands, when you're in the countries, it's a big circle around the lake. So if they're going ahead, world show showcase. The world showcage. And it's a big circle, and it is a hoof. It's a few miles around that lane.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. I believe I put in 14, 14,000 steps that day. Yeah. Yeah. So uh so then I said, I'm going back to the room. Well, I looked at the boat line and it goes, gonna it's gonna take another 20 minutes or whatever.
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_03:So I said, why don't I take the Skyliner?
SPEAKER_02:Oh, the Skyline. I've been dying to take that.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, yeah, the Skyliner. So you get on the Skyliner and it takes you to the transportation center. It's a it's a hub where you can go back to uh Caribbean Beach or you go to Hollywood Studios.
SPEAKER_02:Did you have to change?
SPEAKER_03:You have to change, yeah. So I I rode the Skyliner, got off, got up back to the Was there a lot of people that went on the Skyliner? Uh yes, there are a lot of people going on Skyliner.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_03:Yes, yeah. When you learn to use that, it it's just phenomenal.
SPEAKER_02:Right, because you're overlooking everything.
SPEAKER_03:It goes above you go over the parking lot. Oh, yeah. So I got back to the Hollywood Studios. See? Going back to the Hollywood Studios. Right. My destination is the uh Wilderness Lawn. Okay. So I so I get on the Skyliner, right, transfer back, get on the Hollywood Studios, and get to the Hollywood Studios.
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_03:Then I take the bus.
SPEAKER_02:Oh. The bus.
SPEAKER_03:The bus. Which I'm amazed because I kind of poo-pooed the buses.
SPEAKER_02:Well, I've been on the buses.
SPEAKER_03:Huh?
SPEAKER_02:They were okay.
SPEAKER_03:They're okay. Yeah, I but it was comfortable. It was okay. Now, maybe I didn't get on, you know, sometimes actually my wife had ridden it the night before and she had to stand up all the way.
SPEAKER_02:You know, yeah, because the buses can be crowded.
SPEAKER_03:Right. Right. Transportation is an issue. So so, but I it was very comfortable. I got back to the uh lodge. Lodge. And let's see, what did I do? That was uh Friday. Oh Saturday. Saturday, Saturday. So then we ended up playing uh ping pong.
SPEAKER_02:At the lodge. At the lodge.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:They have a ping pong table. Uh right.
SPEAKER_02:They have a lot of things.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. And then what of course we ate at the geyser grill and bar.
SPEAKER_02:But you were back at the geyser grill.
SPEAKER_03:And there they had a shakud, what do you call it? Shakuda board? Chiccuterie. Chakuderie looked.
SPEAKER_02:With the cheese and crackers.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, it wasn't on it was on a bun, not a bun, but bread. Uh, you know, chakuterie on a bun or bread.
SPEAKER_02:I've never seen that before, but hey.
SPEAKER_03:Well, it was good. It was Disney. And so we ordered one and a half and uh well, I ordered one and a half, and she ordered one and a half.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, so we had something to nibble on. Yeah. That was your dinner.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Okay. So now that leaves us to Sunday. That's your last day.
SPEAKER_03:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. Well, we didn't it was kind of cloudy. And so we weren't really going to go to a park. But what we did have was reservations for the brunch at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, okay. I know what that is.
SPEAKER_03:You know, it's got a western flair. It's in the wilderness lodge.
SPEAKER_02:Yep.
SPEAKER_03:And they they serve skillets and shenanigans.
SPEAKER_02:Yes, they do serve shenanigans. Did anybody ask for ketchup?
SPEAKER_03:No, that we did not ask for, but you know, when you want straws, they give you 30 of them.
SPEAKER_02:Right. Same with the ketchup.
SPEAKER_03:Yes. Oh, really? And the kids got to gallop around on the little hobby horse type thing, you know. And it was delicious.
SPEAKER_02:It always makes it fun.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Even when they're even when you're at the restaurants, Disney mean.
SPEAKER_03:We were having fun.
SPEAKER_02:Well, that's fun. That's good. Now, that was your last day there. Did you leave early in the day and head back home?
SPEAKER_03:Yes.
SPEAKER_02:That's what we did.
SPEAKER_03:Yes.
SPEAKER_02:Now, from what I understand from that last conversation, you guys are looking at doing a Disney cruise.
SPEAKER_03:Disney cruise coming up in December, yes.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, December when?
SPEAKER_03:19th.
SPEAKER_02:December 19th.
SPEAKER_03:I would say that would be a Christmas cruise, wouldn't you?
SPEAKER_02:Absolutely. Disney's already decorating for the holidays. So that is definitely a Christmas cruise. And is it going to be a seven-day or no, just a three-day, three nights.
SPEAKER_03:Three day three nights.
SPEAKER_02:Just going to their island in pack technically. And you have not been on a Disney cruise.
SPEAKER_03:Have not been on a Disney cruise.
SPEAKER_02:But your wife has.
SPEAKER_03:Yes. Yes. Yes.
SPEAKER_02:Disney, Disney pulls out all the stops for those cruises. So how many people are going to be on that?
SPEAKER_03:Seven.
SPEAKER_02:There's going to be seven of you. Same seven group.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:They're Disniers.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:I love it. I love it. Well, Jay, I know that you're also planning other little excursions around the United States, which is really good because Discovering America is absolutely fantastic. Particularly if you're driving now, it's better. Considering we're having some travel issues with air air modes.
SPEAKER_03:Air modes, yeah. And by the way, uh, I am going to go to Chattanooga.
SPEAKER_02:Chattanooga.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:For Thanksgiving.
SPEAKER_03:Well, it's going to be a kind of a festive thing for my family. My sister from Illinois is coming to Chattanooga, and we're coming to Chattanooga from Florida.
SPEAKER_02:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:Which is basically halfway.
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_03:So it's a good place to meet.
SPEAKER_02:So how long will it take you to drive to Chattanooga?
SPEAKER_03:It's about a seven and a half, eight-hour drive. And it's the same for them.
SPEAKER_02:Right. So cool. So it's midway between the two of you. So yeah. They'll do a little uh Thanksgiving party in advance.
SPEAKER_03:And of course, we're gonna go stay at the Drury Inn.
SPEAKER_02:You love the Drury.
SPEAKER_03:Yep. Plug, plug, plug.
