Is there a connection between the 6th commandment and the 7th commandment? Or the 5th and the 7th? Why is adultery wrong? Why does the Lord dedicate a command against it? There is, at its heart, a deep connection between marital fidelity and religious fidelity, as the married life is to be a mirror, even an image of the relationship between God and man. Perhaps this is why this sin is spoken against so strongly, and how it forces us to address the inner idols we create in our hearts. Give a listen.
