The ancient way is not just for those who lived "back then"- it is for you and for me now. It is a reality that surrounds us at all times, and that reality is very supernatural. It is not just myths, fairy tales, and old stories. It is a vibrant part of every persons life- hidden right in plain sight. Can you see it? All you have to do is ask.

In this special episode of The Ancient Way Podcast, we sit down and hang out with our friend, brother and pastor, Daniel Turner, pastor of Tyler House of Faith (HoF) in Tyler Texas! The topic? The Church!
"The first time that the Lord Jesus ever mentioned church was in a conversation with His disciples recorded in Matthew 16:13-19. During this passage He gave the very foundation and function of the church. Firstly, in this brief conversation He admonishes His disciple Peter for recognizing that He is the Christ because Peter had received this truth through a connection to God in Heaven, and not by flesh and blood, or a person on earth. Thus Jesus Himself identified that the foundation of His Church would be the revelation of who He is as revealed by the Father in Heaven.
In simple terms, the biblical definition of Church is a people who know God. They know Him because they have entered into a relationship with Him that transcends mere human communication. They not only recognize Jesus for who He is, but because of who He is they have entered into a covenant relationship with Him. With this covenant relationship as His Church they have been given the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven with the mandate to release the light of Heaven and destroy the very gates of Hell in the earth. This is the true calling of the Church. This is Christianity. This is our purpose."
