I love being an educational leader. The best part of my day is when I spend time with students. During one of our vacations, I had the opportunity to reconnect with two former students. We had just checked in when a young lady approached me and said, “Hi, Dr. Moore, you were my Principal.”
As we spoke, a young man joined us because I was his Principal. Over the next several minutes, we laughed and shared stories. As we parted, both former students said, “Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.” Watching my former students walk away, I was reminded of the core business of education: preparing students for life.
