Episode 3
Journalist Gerry Foley continues his series of conversations with fellow 1982 graduates from Trinity College Dublin. Here, he talks to 3 engineers, two of whom went straight from college to working in the mining industry in South Africa. They reflect on life under the apartheid regime and the huge changes since then. The third graduate who came to Ireland as a schoolboy from Sri Lanka talks of his love of the Irish language plus how Trinity taught him to problem solve whilst running his own company in Dubai. There are also stories of harsh corporal punishment dished out during school days. On a lighter note, they also chat about extremely short shorts on holiday in the USA !
