Hello, everyone! This is your host, Austin Bellino, and I am thrilled to have you join me on this new adventure. In this episode, we will explore some of the most awe inspiring marvels our world has to offer. We are visiting the world of greats, as we hear from our special guests who will share their unique insights and personal experiences of these remarkable sites.

The Great Barrier Reef in Australia, The Great Wall of China, The Great Mosque of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, and The Great Pyramid and Sphinx in Egypt.

[00:01:00] Now, it may have not gotten the memo about being called great, but another truly magnificent natural wonder is the Grand Canyon, located in the United States.

If you've never heard of it or had the chance to witness its breathtaking beauty firsthand, picture this, a vast and breathtaking gorge carved by the mighty Colorado River over millions of years. The Grand Canyon showcases layers of vibrant rock formations. Mesmerizing colors, and is a destination that demands a place on every adventurer's bucket list.

My family and I visited there a little over 10 years ago. But before I go down memory lane, let's shift our focus to the true greats.

First stop, Australia!

G'day, my name is Martyn I've lived in Brisbane, Australia for about 33 years and I love it here. Brisbane City is the capital of Queensland and sitting off the eastern coastline of Queensland in the Coral Sea is a The Great Barrier Reef.

[00:02:00] The Great Barrier Reef isn't one single reef but a reef system or a collection of 2, 900 individual reefs. It is the largest reef system in the world. Although it is great, it is also vulnerable. It faces challenges, like mass bleaching and oil spill threats from a nearby shipping route. And as such, it is highly protected to ensure it continues to serve generations that follow us.

As it has done for many thousands of years, particularly for our First Nations people. While the reef stretches up most of Queensland's coastline, it takes a little bit more than a walk to the mainland beach to see it. So tourism operators can give you fast transport from the mainland to the reef. So you can take advantage of the reef's beauty.

My favorite spots are a central location called Airlie Beach, and a northern destination called Port Douglas. I've been on yachts, glass bottom boats, swimming with goggles, snorkeling and scuba diving. The sights underwater are breathtakingly spectacular. The reef is cram packed with action, including dolphins, massive sea turtles, and the magical colors of the reef and all sizes of marine life that live in it.

[00:03:00] While Australia sometimes has a reputation for dangerous animals and fearsome creatures wanting to eat you, these trips are safe from crocodiles and shark attacks are extremely rare, so don't hold back, adventure awaits you. If you love nature and amazing marine life, you should definitely include the Great Barrier Reef on your bucket list. Happy exploring!

Hello, my name is Liu and I am from China. I'd like to talk about The Great Wall of China. Which is located in northern China stretching across many cities and has an impressive distance of over 21, 000 kilometers. The Great Wall of China with its rich history is a symbol of Chinese culture and a true marvel each breaking stone holds stories of the generations that came before us, reminding us of our shared heritage and the resilience of the Chinese people.

[00:04:00] This amazing structure, built and expanded by different dynasties, served as a line of defense against invaders. Protecting the heartland of China. Today, visitors have the opportunity to go on an unforgettable journey along this iconic structure and experience a blend of history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.

First, my name is Abdullah. I live in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. I want to talk about The Great Mosque in Mecca, called Haram. Like, forbidden. In the city center of Mecca and, the center of the world, the, maintenance of the, prayer. It's important for our country. The electricity, electricity of Mecca not the same electricity of the Haram, of the Great Mosque. This Great Mosque built by Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail blessing be upon him.

[00:05:00] And the ground around the mosque, built, developed in the history. It's site of pilgrimage and the Hajj, which every Muslims must do at least once in their life, and it's also the largest mosque in the world covering on area of 88. 2 hectares with capacity of two and a half million prayers. Yes, they come to make Hajj and they come to around the Kaʿbah seven times and can drink water zamzam and touch the black stone.

Hello, I'm Esraa Hamdy I'm from Egypt. And I'll try to tell you some things about wonders of Cairo. It's the Pyramids of Giza with Sphinx. They were built actually almost 5, 000 years ago.

[00:06:00] It's one of the most famous and oldest structures here in Egypt. And actually, the ancient engineering feats at Giza were so impressive and captivating. Then, today scientists can't be sure how the pyramids were built.

In the afterlife, they believe that death is the beginning of a new life. That's why they erected temples to the gods and massive pyramid tombs for themselves, filled with all things that they would need. The designations of the pyramids are Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaura correspond to the kings or pharaohs for whom they were built.

Khufu king is the first one who started building pyramid and his pyramid is the largest one of the group that's why it's called the great pyramid and the middle pyramid was built for Khafre and the last pyramid for Menkaura.

[00:07:00] And beside the three pyramids, there is something called the Spinx. The Spinx is located or lies to the south of the Great Pyramid near Khafre's Valley Temple, and it's called also The Great Spinx, and it's carved out of limestone.

Spinx is somehow strange from its appearance as it has facial features of human. But the body of lion, that's why it makes it two things, the mindset of human, and in the same time, the, his circle rises because of the body of lion.

And that brings us to the end of our journey through these remarkable places, including Australia, China, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. After exploring these Greats!

[00:08:00] Let's not forget that there are countless remarkable sites across the globe that continue to inspire and captivate us, whether man made or formed by nature. These wonders remind us of the extraordinary world we live in.

But the exploration doesn't end here. I would love to hear from you, my listeners, so please share with me the remarkable sights from your own countries that deserve recognition in the comments section or by message!
