
Aimee Bernard
Dr. Aimee Pugh-Bernard is an immunologist with a broad background in cellular immunology and molecular biology with specific expertise in human immunology. She attained her PhD studying the developmental regulation of human B cells and the autoimmune disorder Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). She is a passionate vaccine advocate, and professor who teaches immunology to medical, dental, and graduate students on the CU Anschutz medical campus. She is actively involved in immunology content of the CU School of Medicine Trek curriculum reform and a course director. She teaches immunology within the graduate, medical, and dental schools, and the Child Health Advocate and Physician Assistant (CHA/PA) program. She is also dedicated to community service and runs a non-profit, after-school community outreach science program at several elementary schools in Aurora, Colorado.
