Helen has navigated some serious life stuff in this past decade- everything from becoming a new mom, advancing in her day job to divorce. In this episode she shares her miraculous comeback story of how she returned to making music and performing live after 10 years away.
We also chat about the humble beginnings in forming her first band, Vagiant which later became Tijuana Sweetheart (which I was in as a very naive bass player 😂) back when we both worked at a video game company (Harmonix which is now Epic Games). There's some illuminating words of advice that EVERY artist needs to hear in this episode as well in that you are allowed to take your gap in skill level and leverage it as a point of power.
