Emily Bessey: Finding Space for Grief and Gratitude After Losing a Second Child

Monica and Colby Charette Season 1 Episode 2

Surviving child loss seems insurmountable most days for grieving parents.  But what happens when the unimaginable happens to your family again?  Emily Bessey shares her heartbreaking journey of losing her son Ezra to a genetic and terminal disease called spinal muscular atrophy, and her family's focus to raise awareness and funding for a cure through their amazing foundation called Hearts for Ezra. Less than two years later, the family suffered a second tragedy with the death of their son, Leo, to stillbirth. Emily talks candidly about what she has learned about herself while walking beside grief. Her story will inspire you.

Learn more about Spinal Muscular Atrophy,  and how you can be part of the cure at CURE SMA. And if you need a smile, follow Emily's delightful podcast called The Real Truth with Amy and Emily where, she says, she gets to be her silly self now and again!
