The North American Stallion Sport Test 2022 - West
Show Notes

For a warmblood stallion to become a fully approved breeding stallion with many of the major registries, a stallion is required to be licensed and proven in sport.  The North American Stallion Sport Test is a path to achieve the sport requirement for many registries.  It is a rigorous test where a panel of judges and test riders, approved by the German Equestrian Federation, observe and test ride the stallions over the course of three days.  To complete the sport test, a stallion must attend on two separate years.

In this first of two episodes, we focus on stallions that are new to the test this year at Pollyrich Farm in Solvang, California. Host Candice Klingbeil also had the opportunity to speak to the guest rider for the dressage stallions, Jessica Wisdom.  The episode begins with their conversation on how the rideability score is assigned.  And is followed by a conversation with Willy Arts from DG Bar Ranch about his stallions, L Primo DG (Bordeaux X Contango) and New Adventure DG (Don Schufro X Zack).  Next, Jessica Umansky of Exclusive Dressage Imports talks about her new stallion Free Solo EDI (Franziskus X Sandro Hit) and her stallions attending for the second year, Influencer (Ibiza X De Niro) and Rickhoff's Bodo (Bon Coeur X Freudenprinz).  And finally, Candice speaks to Christiane Noelting about her stallion Velantis N (Vitalis X Floriscount).
