In this episode, I sit down with Naomi, an active police officer, wife, and mother of four boys, for an honest conversation about how her unaddressed trauma impacted her career.

Naomi opens up about the not being believed after experiencing sexual assault, coping patterns she developed, how they followed her into adulthood and law enforcement, and the moment she realized something needed to change.

We talk about parenting/co-parenting, the role of therapy and peer support, and learning to recognize your limits in a career that constantly asks more of you.

Naomi also shares how her husband (another active police officer) was able to support and get through to her about the changes he was seeing in her.

She will be in attendance, and I will be speaking at this year's Northern KY First Responders Mental Health Symposium, which was an event that changed the trajectory of Naomi's life and career. If you are in the area, or can be, we would love to see you there!
