SPEAKER_11Oh, wait. Oh, sorry. Alright, we're gonna add the fun.
SPEAKER_09What's up?
SPEAKER_11What's up?
SPEAKER_10Hi guys. Hi. Welcome in.
SPEAKER_11Thanks for having me.
SPEAKER_10Of course. Anytime, guys. Uh watch you guys. Congrats on the by the way, on the show. I'm really happy for you guys. Thank you, bro. Yeah, it's really, really fun. Uh, I was very fortunate I got to be on with you guys. It was very, very fun. Um, that should be out soon, I'm assuming, right? Yeah, yeah, two weeks. Yeah. In two weeks. Awesome shoes.
SPEAKER_02Probably by the time yours airs, ours will air, maybe. Maybe question mark? Crossover. We should drop the same day, bro. Double funny. Just fun.
SPEAKER_11Double the fun. They're like, you want to hear an awesome Wednesday, back to back, camel hump day, you know. Then hear the LS3 and Duck Boys back to back.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, no, I uh I I I would recommend it. I would probably take that much time anyways. Do I took longer than for the other one too? Um for the recent one. Uh-huh. Yeah, I did that one in the beginning of May, and I was like, holy shit, I'm doing this look. I don't do I don't wait that long. I I wait, I I actually do it within a week. Yeah. I get everything done. And uh I I don't know. I just like wanted to just take my time. And uh I just started to realize like, you know, sometimes you just have to not rush into things so much because you'll miss like the little things in the podcast, and then I I start to realize that too. I started missing the little things on the podcast, and even people will criticize me for it. Or not criticize, it would be friendly criticizing. Who? Tell us who Ed Cobb. Ed Cobb. Yeah, Ed, Ed, I'm not doing anything wrong. Fucking just retire, leave him alone.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, go back to bed. Ed, you better fucking watch it, alright? I know where you live.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, I know where you live too, sucker. Freaking with that. What was that guy? Sinatra? Sinatra. Oh Sinidra. Sinatra. Oh, Sinatra, Sendaia. Yeah, I know that guy too. I know that guy, Sendaia. Yeah, he she freaking from Dune. She yeah, from Dune, or she died in the third season. Oh, sorry. Oops Spoiler alert.
SPEAKER_02Oops sorry. No, dude. I was uh, who was it? Uh Lindsay was that's her show, and she was trying to get me to watch it, and I was passing out, and then I I pass it out, and I then I get woken up by like by like this sound like oh my god.
SPEAKER_03Dario, wake up! Dario!
SPEAKER_02Exactly the way she's like, wake up!
SPEAKER_09There's a fire, and she's like, a what? Like, there was a there's a nice woman that died. Married to the girl from Spider-Man. Yeah, the girlfriend. She married the Tom Holland.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, she she was yeah, she died. She died. And um, I was like, oh, okay.
SPEAKER_10So spoilers, just went back to sleep. You know, like eventually people started to find out, like, you know, like that that show is that that's the you you you haven't seen the whole show. Have you seen the whole show? I haven't seen any of it. So the pornographic I've heard?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah, why everyone's interested in it?
SPEAKER_10These freaking late 20 people are like in like they're they're you know, they're fucking humping and thumping and doing drugs. Yeah, and uh we weren't, and then this is like Sydney, this is like Cindy uh Sweeney on her freaking whatever whatever her name is.
SPEAKER_13The girl, yes, the girl from the blonde one, right?
SPEAKER_10Yeah, sit Sydney Sweeney. Uh this is her prime. Yeah, you know, this is when she was like up and coming.
SPEAKER_02I confused her with that other girl, the carpenter girl. I don't know.
SPEAKER_06Marina Carpenter, the singer?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. I could I keep confusing them. Why? Uh they're both blonde. I don't know.
SPEAKER_10Well, they also have two different chests, too. Really? Yes. Wait, chest? Yes. Yeah, one's bigger than the other. Oh, okay. I don't know. Different booby size. Well, that's what she's known for. Oh, really? Fortunately, in some ways, like she started a couple of things.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, freaking going to turn and tell her, like, yeah, come on.
SPEAKER_02You forks. Dude, you know, you're getting old when you don't care to even know what that is anymore. Like that's.
SPEAKER_10I I started to though the the new generation, I started not care, but like, so like the that season though was that first season was really good. It was great because actually the first two seasons were really good. That's what I've heard. It was very good, very has a great impact. You know, it talks a lot about like you know, uh drug like being an addict and getting to like shit that you don't need as like you know, as a alcoholic and drug addict, and uh Eric Danes in it too, the right before he passed. Uh um, you know, the guy that had uh the ALS, uh yeah, that dude. Yeah, uh Gray's anatomy.
SPEAKER_02I don't know who that was.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, he had this guy named uh Eric Danes, he was in Gray's Anatomy. Yes, yes, in Gray's anatomy. He he um he right before I think a few weeks, oh I don't know how long before the third season happened of the euph euphoria, but like he got uh diagnosed with ALS, so he can barely like he can he was slurring his words. So they put I heard they put him in the the third season, but made him like as who he is. Oh, they used his his thing that was happening to him, his thing is happening too. He wrote it into the show, I guess. Yes, but they made him sound like he was like a drug addict and a fucking alcoholic.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but well, that's a good way to go out if you're an actor. Like honestly, like I always joked about like I want to go out on stage, yeah, doing stuff.
SPEAKER_10Well, it's a it's sad because there's a there's a whole documentary about him uh and uh on Netflix about him. He talks about like how like you know when once he starts talking about his wife and his kids, I was like, uh fucking made me cry, dude. R.I.P. to him, yeah. RIP to him, unfortunately. Yeah, no, I uh but I got it was really good, and then plus the music was great because like it was um the guy the artist named Labreth that made it.
SPEAKER_09Um didn't he pull out of the show? Yes, he pulled out the show because he didn't like where it was going, right?
SPEAKER_10Yes, the direction of it. And then there was like not only that, like the I think the der one of the directors, the writers dropped out, and uh one of the produ man, I don't know, the producer dropped out. Many people dropped out, and then that's why it was made it what it was what it was as for the third season, the way it became in fruition. Because like, you know, the cinematic uh you know, this the cinematography was way different than versus like the first two seasons. Oh, okay. Way different. The quality, everything, the acting was all different.
SPEAKER_06Um so it got worse basically.
SPEAKER_10It got worse. Yeah, it's just like you know how like how House of Cards was like super, super good, and then so like you know, Kevin Space couldn't get his hands off, and then like after then he like freaking then the last season would just went to shit. Like the last season sucked. Yeah, yeah, that's when like the it was kind of like that, like they just took like when you take out one great thing, yeah, when the show just like it just ruins the rest just collapsed. Yeah, it's like one great part of like one big element of the show just like gets just turns into like a smoosh thing and then it just ruins things.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah, there's been a few shows like that, I feel. Like The Mandalorian, I think, did that. Really? It started off strong and then it just kind of the thirst season? I think the second, I think the first and the second seeking seeking sec seekin season, second season are the best ones, but I think after that, I think that's where people complained. And I think it had a lot to do with everyone like trying to put their hands in it, you know, like too many chefs in the kitchen. Yeah, yeah. Because it got popular and it was a big deal. And then I thought John Favreau had like everything like part of that. Well, the thing is, like, there's a lot of I mean, a lot of Kathleen Kennedy, you know, when she was there, a lot of that stuff, uh, you know, nonsense going on. And I think uh well, it's obvious. I mean, she basically single-handedly sunk Star Wars. I'm sorry to say, but uh Kathleen Kennedy is Kathleen Kennedy, she was part of it, right? She yeah, she was the the person in charge of Lucasfilm, yeah. And so yeah, once she see the thing is when Disney bought Lucasfilm, um basically George handed the reins over to Kathleen, and Kathleen and George had worked together for many years. I think Kathleen was a producer for like most of like all like the major Spielberg Lucas movies, like she was anywhere where you see like that era of movies, she was probably involved as a producer on some level, so like ET, Indiana Jones, you know, stuff like that. Like she was so she's been there for like decades. Yeah, but I mean a lot of people said it was, you know, just by the title only, because I can't it kind of proves their point because once you know she took over, once she took over, I mean it it was kind of like everything I mean, look at look at the state that that Star Wars is in now.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, so it's like what was she doing the whole time? The third season was like interest, like it was weird, but interesting at the same time because like the third one there like the first episode was good, and the second episode I just like I started to drift away. Yeah, I was just like, oh, this is weird. For the third season?
SPEAKER_02Yes. Well, there you go. You started drifting, yeah, because you knew you you know, instinctively you knew you're like this is crap.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, but like I also like had a feeling like you know, maybe there was like different writers involved and different like you know, yeah, like different writers getting involved with like different you know things like like lost, like you can look at that, like lost was really great, and so like the writers in the freaking last one were just like fucked everything up. I'm like, hey, I'm like, yo, why did you fucking do this? So everyone dies?
SPEAKER_09Why?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm like same thing with Games of Throne. I've heard that. Oh, yeah, that was silly.
SPEAKER_12I mean, dude, that was so fucking silly. I was like, why did they make everything like this?
SPEAKER_02And they make uh Brandon the fucking king. Stranger Things, I think, too. I'm not gonna hopping around and oh no, kind of no, no, I'm not saying that, I'm just saying some people were saying that.
SPEAKER_10No, no, I disagree. Yeah, I disagree on that because I'm a big Stranger Things fan. Yes, I thought the last season the last episode was fucking just yeah just needed to end where it needed to end. Yeah, because you need to end some ways, yeah, yeah. And that show just ended with like pure heart. Right. I fucking I cried. Yeah, I cried so hard. The scene with um with uh the kid and um and hawk hawk uh fucking A. My god, I'm blinking on the names that I haven't watched in a in a while, but the sheriff and the kid. Yeah, um and then they then the sheriff were talking, and then he talked about the two roads to two different roads, and then if you watch that clip, there's a clip of it. If you watch it, I I can even fucking look for my phone too. It's a it's a it's such a good clip.
SPEAKER_11I can even find it for you right now. Where's my fucking phone? Can you pass my phone for me, please? Thank you so much.
unknownThank you.
SPEAKER_10Dude, there was a um so it's I'll show you this clip because this this was just it it it it just talks about it just relates to life itself and it talks about like when you're dealing with hard times and with people that just like um uh just basically fuck you over on things, and I I re I just resonated so much with it. I have to go really scroll back, but I can find it for sure.
SPEAKER_02It was just oh god, it was such a fucking this was towards the last uh towards the last episode, yeah.
SPEAKER_10The last episode. It was on the last episode, but it was just just pure.
SPEAKER_02You're talking about uh Hopper, right? Hopper, yes, Hopper.
SPEAKER_10That was his name.
SPEAKER_02I blanked out too.
SPEAKER_10I blinked out too.
SPEAKER_02So isn't that weird how there's shows like that that do that to you? Like you don't know where it happens, but at some point it they kind of get you. They kind of hook you in. That was my Vikings. Vikings?
SPEAKER_10Yeah, I heard of Vikings. I never really watched it. But it was that one's that was another I heard that was really good too. I never got to watch it, but I heard that I heard great great things about it. That one's a really good one. Um, fuck, where is that?
SPEAKER_02Dude, there was a show back in the nine late 90s, maybe mid-90s too, called ER. I don't know if you guys remember ER. Hey man, let me finish.
SPEAKER_08My mom used to watch that show. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_10My mom, every time I come home, she like immediately turns on the TV and she's like, We're gonna watch ER.
SPEAKER_02Dude, that was the beginning of George Clooney's career. Remember that? Yeah, he he dude, he was dude. First off, uh ER went for 15 seasons. That's crazy. That's dude, that show was a juggernaut, like a juggernaut. And um, anyways, that was my show back in the days. I would watch that show, so then um I never finished it, right? So many years later, I I found it on Hulu or something, and I started kind of like trying to go through the whole show again. And there was there was this one season or one episode, spoiler alert, people, uh, where one of the main doctors, uh uh what's his name? Uh played by uh Anthony Edwards. Um he dies, dude. He freaking dies in the show, and dude, I don't know why, but I started crying, dude. That show, I started crying, dude. Like, I don't know, like it was just like I didn't expect that. I didn't know he was gonna die. Like, I didn't know, dude. And and this is funny because this is a show I watched a long time ago and I picked it up again, and it was like all those, like I still had that connection to the show, and I didn't even realize it. You know, you still care about these characters even long after you've you know you've gone and you know watched other shows and then you come back to it. I was still connected, I didn't even realize it.
SPEAKER_10Ah man, I can't fucking find it, but um if I it'll come back, yeah, it'll come back though. I'll I'll probably find it though, actually, because I I can even find it on here with uh but um oh man. So uh at least once a year I watch uh watch his name, Mike. That was uh I'm I'm getting the whole thing wrong too. Oh, there you go. Okay. Dude, watch this one.
unknownIt's not your fault.
SPEAKER_13Oh.
SPEAKER_00What happens is not your fault. Al made her choice. Now it's time for you to make yours. And the way I see it, you got two roads ahead of you. You got one road where you keep blaming yourself for what happened, you keep going over it in your head, over and over, what you could have done differently. You push people away and you suffer because that's what you think you deserve.
SPEAKER_01And then there's another road.
SPEAKER_00Find a way to accept it.
SPEAKER_08So fucking sad.
SPEAKER_12My hands were even shaking. I was like, Oh god. So fucking sad.
SPEAKER_10No, dude, that that's a good scene, man. It's just the two roads thing was just like it relates so too much to me. Yeah, where you can just like mope about it and you know, keep thinking over and over what you've done badly, and you just like sit there and suffer and isolate. Yeah, and then, or you can just go the other road and live your best damn life. Yeah, dude. I like that. I like I love I love that quote. It's so it's like that whole scene was just like just and then the then after the whole I believe thing, I was like, shit. So sad. Great shows though.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think I I think I was watching that clip right now of Hopper. I think I I could play Hopper for Halloween. You can? The mustache, for sure. I got the mustache. Yeah, would you wear the copper? A wig?
SPEAKER_10Yeah. Would you cost were the would you wear the whole costumer? Yeah, of course. Who would you be? You'd be Mike? Uh he'd be L.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I was gonna say L.
SPEAKER_10L. That'd be cool.
SPEAKER_12I'll be uh bald headed L. Season one. Yeah, season one L. He's like eating egos in a waffle, he's like, delicious.
SPEAKER_02That's the thing about Dalen. He I could see that he's not embarrassed to play that part.
SPEAKER_10Speaking of like uh people that are rep like speaking of that, just like dressing up people, so there's this time. You probably re you probably get he might have gotten this like before, but I was um last year when I was in when I was in Carnival in the backstage, and uh, we have some room 13 people.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_10There was like people that come by, and then I came and then I I saw you before, and I saw you like with your costume, and then you like left, and then someone then some of the room 13 people like just came out of the other way, just on the other side, like like min like almost like when I was on lunch, so like it was like a long uh moments later. Yeah, and there was this dude that exactly had your mustache and your hairstyle, was wearing an undershirt and had like makeup, and I looked at it and I was like, Oh, he man, he looks really good.
SPEAKER_09Like I thought it was him.
SPEAKER_10Oh, and it ended up being someone else that like Double Ganger, double ganger guy. Really? We gotta find this dude. Yeah, this guy is taller, has like this like a bearded, like western mustache, right? And uh just that same hair, like slick bear hair. Uh yeah, I'm assuming you you slick your hair back, right? Sometimes, yeah, he slicked his hair back, and I was like, what the fuck? I'm like, Dale looks different. I'm like, like he looked, I'm like, oh, they put like really good makeup on him this time. And I'm like, I was like, yeah. I was like, did they move you or something? And then I didn't, I mean, I didn't know you, I didn't talk to you during the time, so I just didn't want to go like, oh hey Dalen, like he's like, What do you want?
SPEAKER_06Who the fuck are you?
SPEAKER_10Who the fuck are you? Get the fuck away from me, you fucking pervert. You know, just say that shit. But like, you know, but I thought I figured I'd be like, holy shit, dude. I never thought about that. I always wanted to tell you that story. I was just never I don't know why. I've I seen him and I'm like, that guy looks so much like him. And then I started to realize then I saw you and I was like, Oh wait, wait, I'm like, there's two different people.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like it's fucking weird, but that happens a knot sometimes, doesn't it? Yeah, people people have their double gangers. I've seen a few people like that. Remember, you know Charlie? He was in our zone. Yeah, there was another guy in Carnival that looked just like him one year. Really? Yes. He even has a pic he took a picture with him. You could see it on his Instagram.
SPEAKER_13Oh, really?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_13And I thought it was Charlie, dude. It was it was freaky, it looked just Do you remember what character he was?
SPEAKER_02I don't know, dude, but he was a clown. Yeah. And then Charlie was his goring character. But he looked like Charlie. Like maybe like a little bit younger version of Charlie. Oh, that's weird.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. Yeah. We have some, there's like some doppelgangers, like, or the exact replica of him. It's so weird. You know what's a funny, funny story? Uh, you know Chase McCullough? Uh the one that played the mummy at Ghost Town? Knew the guy. Yeah, I mean, I I'm so good friends with him. He's um, I used to live with him in Corona during a time. Like long, like back when like it was like when my my mom passed away and I had to like move out. So I moved out to him for like a few months. Like, got close, and I got close with his brother too, Sean. His brother is twin. They're both they're they're both twins. Oh shit. Yes. Um, and so we always hang out. We would just say, like, oh, are you guys hanging out with the twins? We're like, Yeah, we're gonna hang out with the twins. Yeah, um, sometimes they all just say that term. But he told me one night one time just about Joe Haunt. We're just talking about like haunt and a bunch of haunt stories, and uh during the time because he's been there like long time ago. He was in the asylum. Oh shit. Yeah, that that that long, that long. And um, so it was this time where he he was in go I think he was in yeah, he was in Ghost Town, and um I think this is how he got his name sequel. Uh, because this this is his haunt name sequel. So there's one time he uh he didn't feel like he wasn't able to come in to work. And he was like, dude, I can't like and he didn't want to miss like he I don't know, it's something about like missing. I I this is coming off a second hand, so I don't really fully know the term, so I'm sorry. But like he um but he what he told me in a it was an effect of like so he made his brother come in as his costume and do the thing. I feel like I've heard this story. No one noticed what do you knew? No one knew who he was. They just thought like he it was Chase. No way, because they were like, yeah, they're like, oh hey, like come like hey yeah, cool. Like, oh Chase, are you ready? Like, yeah, yeah, I'm ready. I I'm assuming that was that. I was like, shit, that's fucking crazy.
SPEAKER_02Dude, that's some it that takes some balls. Yeah, it takes some balls.
SPEAKER_10I think I think Chase had to do something that night, and he was like, dude, can you it'd be really funny if you just came in and just did like did my character like then that's legendary. He did he even did that one time with they they uh uh his brother Sean told me a story that like he um he couldn't come in one time to work at Target. Oh shit. And he swapped with his brother to come in to work.
SPEAKER_13That's so sick.
SPEAKER_12That's so diabolical always. I was like, holy shit. It was like the funniest shit. I was like, what the fuck? Like it was something like along the effect of that.
SPEAKER_10Like, I mean I don't remember the Tyler story, but he told me like it him, like him swapping together for his ship um as himself, but shit like that. I'm like, fuck. Like I don't even have a I only have I have a I have a sister that looks like me but with a wig. It was like yeah, it was like that much, that much like that. But it was fun. It was like those moments like I see him like, oh yeah, you look exactly like me, but yeah. Yeah, anyway. Diabolical.
SPEAKER_02Diabolical. I wish I had a twin, man.
SPEAKER_06That'd be sick.
SPEAKER_02Dude, one year I saw uh it was a year I was at the I got uh sent to the gauntlet. Is it 23? Yeah, yeah, 23. Dude, I was okay. So you know how the photographers started taking pictures. Uh-huh. So I started kind of seeing the pictures like you know come through. And I noticed there was a girl, and I was like, I go, what the f I was like, is that glow? I thought it was glow. She looked like glow. Well to me she did. Yeah. And you know who she was? You know her? You know her as mommy.
SPEAKER_06Oh that girl. Yeah.
SPEAKER_13No way. Didn't it? Jay? Yes.
SPEAKER_02Jay, yeah. I thought, I mean, I hope that's not offending her, but I'm just saying, I thought it was Glow. I thought I was like, what the hell? That looks like Gloria. Uh-huh. Yeah. Gloria?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02You're not the bride. The bride doesn't belong in Goring 20s. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, you don't belong in the fucking gauntlet. You fuck you silly.
SPEAKER_02She was in the she was in the no, no. The mommy, well, that's her nickname, was in Goring 20s, and that's the girl I thought was Gloria. I thought Gloria got I don't I don't know why I thought that. Yeah. But it looked like her, and I was like, what the hell? But it wasn't.
SPEAKER_04Doppelganger.
SPEAKER_10Doppelganger shit. Like, you don't even fucking notice. Like, I that's sometimes I get like that too. I'm like, I'm like, I wonder if like you get confused with those people. Yeah. Anyway, yeah, good shit.
SPEAKER_06I saw your doppelganger. Oh gosh. Who? Do you know where I saw his doppelganger? Who? At Target? No, when I was a kid and I was watching the mummy movies.
SPEAKER_12Are you the wait? Dude, I need you to shave your mustache and just literally shit do that shit.
SPEAKER_02Just like Emotep. Okay, so a lot of people do not know this, but for Trapped, that was the name they gave me. That was the hot name that they gave originally. Nobody knows this, but now everybody knows. Oh shit. It was Emotep. No way. Emotep. The emotep. Oh, that's hilarious. And I used to get it from other people. Like when I went to acting school in LA, I got it from this uh Aussie girl.
SPEAKER_03She's like, you know what he looked like? He looked like uh Arnold Vaslow.
SPEAKER_02And I was like, who? I didn't know who he was. And then I had to look him up and I was like, oh gosh.
SPEAKER_10From the Phantom?
SPEAKER_12Yeah. What was he like? What was on the one movie where he was doing the slick, like that one silicone uh purple costume he wore? Dude, that's Billy Zane.
SPEAKER_10I've gotten that one too. Oh, is that Billy Zane? I'm getting fucking confused.
SPEAKER_09See, that's why this is I'm getting confused with. I thought that was Billy Zane at first. I was like, oh, it's fucking Billy Zane. No. And they're like, it's no, that's some other fuck.
SPEAKER_11I'm like, oh shit. You should listen to your friend Billy Zane. He's a cool dude. Yeah, he's so cool. Yeah, Billy Zane.
SPEAKER_10I have a child. Yeah, that was from Zoolander, by the way. Yeah, dude, he's fucking so funny. But like that, that shit, that that meme though, I've seen I see on the have you seen it? Uh it's that when tax seasons come around. Uh. And then there was a meme that says, like, um, when I have to pay, like, when I have to use my sister uh or my siblings as like uh oh yeah from Titanic, that that meme from Titanic. Yeah. What's that thing when you have a sister conjoyer and you get more money? Um I just went blank.
SPEAKER_02Uh I went blank on it. I just talked about what do you call it? Uh claim to claim someone. Yeah, claim somebody. Right.
SPEAKER_10It's like when you want to claim your your siblings, and on the bomb it says, I have a child!
SPEAKER_03I have a child. I have a child.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, yeah, it's like the they froze, yeah, they cooked that from the movie.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Now that's Billy Zane. Billy Zane from Titanic, Billy Zane from Back to the Future. He was He was in Back in the Future, he was a younger guy. He was one of the he was Biff's one of Biff's uh buddies. Whoa. From the gang, from the Biff gang. Whoa. Billy Zane also was in um Wow, Billy Zane? What is it called? Demon Knight. He was very popular for Demon Knight. Yeah, Billy Zane. He did a music video with somebody famous, I can't remember. And he also did uh The Phantom, the guy in the purple suit that you were describing. I want to see this. Billy Zane Back in the Future. But I've gotten Billy Zane too.
SPEAKER_09Why am I why is it what the fuck?
SPEAKER_02Should have gotten more though. I kind of feel like both. I keep getting both. Really? Billy Zane or um Arnold Boslow, the mummy. And I had an ex-girlfriend who called me that too. And she was from Mexico.
SPEAKER_06Really? She called you the mummy or yeah.
SPEAKER_02She's like, I was like, Momeo. So she was referring to the mummy.
SPEAKER_11Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I was like, oh.
SPEAKER_11That's crazy. Yeah. Yeah, true story.
SPEAKER_10I have to I'll I'll find it later. Yeah, no, um, yeah. Zoolander. Zoolander.
SPEAKER_02Billy Zane was also in Zoolander.
SPEAKER_10That's crazy. That's insane. Yeah. Anyway, but you're uh you're uh back to your show. It was your show's great. Sorry, it's really, really great. Yeah, it was really great that's right. We're trying. Yes. No, you guys are trying. It's the best, like the I'm so glad you guys are what you're doing is is that your guys are doing um video and doing the audio too at the same time. It's like that's like a hard commitment. Yeah. And uh, that's something that like I need to do for like I should have been doing. You know, something like that needs to be work, you know, that that takes time and all that, but you guys like immediately start to do that, and that like you guys start it on a phone and it it worked like right away, and and it just the sound it looks great, and everything you just place it on one spot and do the whole thing. One camera, you know, one camera, you don't have to have multiple cameras, you just do the thing, and after so and I watched um I watched I've been watching a few of them too. I've been well I've been watching all of them actually, I think. Oh damn, thanks, dude. Uh I watched just watch Michael Garas. Oh yeah, yeah. The one isn't he great, dude. He's fucking what a great dude. I I've had that guy multiple, multiple times on the show. He's um I'm actually planning on bringing him back again. Yeah. Um he's been on your show a few times. Yeah, he's been on it, I think about close to four five times. Yeah. He's been around the same amount of times as Aaron and Vi been around. So he's he's been around that. Like he's one of those, like the the that whole realm of people that I bring on multiple, multiple times. I just like when I find someone that like I like, because I mean it's no offense to Vi, I love Vi very much. So we but I brought Vi multiple times, so me and him will just like you know how we are, we just like me and him will start rambling together, we start talking shit. Yeah, and then um, but then eventually like he he started like bringing Aaron and he wanted to like only do the show with Aaron. I was like, that's totally fine, I don't care. And then um, and then eventually, like uh then I started bringing Michael and I was like, oh shit, dude. That's like in like interesting how Michael just talks, and then just like Michael's a talker, which is good for a podcast.
SPEAKER_02Yes, and that's one thing we I we've been learning, or I've been learning, like doing a podcast. There are some people that are talkers, and there are some people that are not talkers.
SPEAKER_10Yes, right. Yes, that's a very, very critical thing that you have to learn about yourself. It's like you have to learn that you just gotta keep on like pushing the cycle, keep on going. Like, doesn't matter what you talk about, just keep on saying something because it doesn't matter, like you got that I learned that from so much too for myself. Like over the past, like I'm on what 86 episodes, like it's like that, like that much. Like I'm doing like I I like you look at the first episode where I'm just like, Yeah, like I'm like ramp, like I'm mumbling at this point, like I because I don't even know what to say, but like as you like learn, it just you kind of just develop, you evolve to just becoming like a a conversation, yeah, conversationalist person, and not just feel like forced kind of thing. Yeah, it's not forced, but you start to create ideas because it's a fun part. It's like you start to create more ideas and you start like, and then also it's fun to learn it from other podcasts, like like other podcasts. I love learning from that. Yeah, that's how I learned it from like other big ones, you know. You go on like the whole Theo, Rogan, it's like you learn from those. Like, Theo is not like a big talker, like you can tell from himself. I watched him when he was like doing his like old ones in his like basement. Oh and like when he got off like the show with Brandon Schab, like he was getting off that and he was doing King of the Sting for a while. Yeah, he was doing then he was doing the this past weekend, so he was still like learning a lot from himself, but then he started to get a lot lot better. Yeah, it just grew. And so, like me, like I'm just I'm learning from like those people that that takes a lot of inspiration. I'm just like grabbing some of that, using it as my own, you know, my own ability. So it it's uh it but it just takes time, but like you just gotta just like keep on like saying something and just talk talk about things, have an idea, or um, or even just have like or just like even just have a conversation, yeah. Because like it's like kind of like I try and make it as organic as possible because like I I do it like we're just like like I just told you, like we're just talking like we're talking backstage, yeah. Right, exactly. Or we're just talking in the parking lot, except we have microphones, yeah. Yeah, we do. Like we just we sit there, we just talk, and then people then it's it's fun because like I I like it because people that are not working in and what we do are fans and they're so curious of like what do they talk about? Yeah, like what is there like what's going on with themselves? Like, what do they talk about like when it's just the when just it's just three of us, yeah, or just the two of us, right? They don't want to know, they just want to know like what what do you guys talk about? Like all this, like when it's when you talk about scary farm and talk about other things in life, and I I'm trying it, I try and make it like that as like organic as possible. Well it's cool too because you get to learn more about people you don't know.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, you know. It was cool. Like I got to learn a lot about Michael.
SPEAKER_06Michael uh hit the podcast, it was the first time I ever met him.
SPEAKER_10Oh, really?
SPEAKER_06That was the first time I met him.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, dude, he's like he's he's like funny and he's like just very like humble and like yeah, he's very just like caring about like an adversary. He has he asks you a question too, just about like interested in talking, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's great. But like I yeah, I've I've had uh he's he's just been a great dude. But like the fun the funny thing I I was just speaking on Michael, the the whole thing with the ball sack story was so funny as fuck.
SPEAKER_06Dude, the picture was hilarious.
SPEAKER_10It's so funny. Okay, so I'll tell you You remember that stuff too. I I do you remember that? Okay, so the way he told you was like was pretty spot on. Yeah. It was funny as fuck because I saw it on the back of your head like that night. Yeah, I'll show you. I think we all did. I'll show you the so I'll show you what the um what the picture looked like in the beginning. So I was so people that don't know Michael was in his podcast, Michael Guerrero was on the podcast, and he went to talk about like this story. When I was in Carnival, I had a um a back of my head was a heart. And this is what in the beginning what looked like. What it looked like. And and then the people and and I was so we when we had the this is when we had the big tent. And um huge sack. Yeah, it was a huge sack. It was a huge, huge sack. And like in the beginning, there were like they um people we were like, you know, we were right next to us. It was us, and then for like a little bit before we went to our actual uh break and uh leg side and so we hung out with like inside the tent with like Carney uh with uh ghost town for a little bit. So we like sat down with them, and then there was like ghost town people looking at they're like what the fuck is that? Like, yeah, I'm like it's a I'm like, dude, you think they're like, Yeah, it's is that a ball sack? I'm like, it is, I think. I'm like, yeah, and then I turn around, I'm like, dude, that is a ball sack.
SPEAKER_09They're like, dude, and it it's kind of funny how the ball sack works because look how it hangs. Yeah, one size. One's hanging out.
SPEAKER_06I mean, doesn't that mean you're a righty?
SPEAKER_09Yeah, Lisa's a righty, yeah, I am a righty, and I'm like, I'm like, this is like about the same. It's like nobody was thinking about that.
SPEAKER_10And and my and I give a shout-out to my freaking artist that I had in the beginning when I was with her. She's awesome, very carrying, just a very old, generous lady, uh, just uh older ladies. They're all awesome, awesome, awesome. But like she she so it was funny when she designed the thing because she always makes like these like geometric like designs in my back. I don't know what the fuck it is. So one time she did huh? She doesn't tell you. She doesn't tell me. Oh, okay. She always just gives me like she gives me like a mystery. She's like, I'm gonna write in the back of your head, and then I'm like, okay. She's like, I'm gonna design the back of your head, and then uh so one time I had like a half face, so like it was a rounded face, and my whole back was just showing my whole skin. Oh yeah, so I if I had I I'll show you a picture of that um during that time. So during the time I had that, and fuck I could if I could find it. Um it's so it was like a rounded, it was a rounded uh paint. Like just I had I got I basically got airbrushed all around here, and then the back was just my skin. And then the and then on after that she wrote something on my back, on my the back of my head. And then she wrote she wrote she like painted something on the back of my head, and then she she goes like I wrote a ha. I was like, what are you talking about? I was like, she's like, yeah, it says ha. I was like, so it did say in the back, it said H A exclamation point, and I'm trying to find the freaking uh photo of me with that one, yeah. There I if I had it, yeah, I probably don't have it. But there there is a there's an a video of me with that uh makeup, yeah, yeah. So it was funny, but like but I'll finish the story with the the ball sacked one. Like it was so I so I I did that happen and I I was like, oh shit, dude. Alright. And then I then all of a sudden the back of the so you remember the back of that tail right on the bottom? Uh-huh. Yeah. That shit came off. Uh huh. So it made it more like a ball sack.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_10So that made more like a ball sack. So I I was like, oh shit, it is a ball sack. And then I went, so I had I I did pre-scare. So that whole charge thing and all that. So I went over and I um I started scaring people, then I was then then I started going up to talent and I started going like this down. And they were like, what the fuck? They started busting, laughing. They're like, like, oh my god, that's so funny. Like you like, do it to guess. I'm like, I and I started doing to guess. And then I was and then I went, I went a lot of confidence. And then and I had a lot more confidence than I said, like, I'm gonna go up to the managers and do it. And I went up to, I think I went up to some of the managers and went, I saw them, and I just went, oh no.
SPEAKER_02And they're like, oh my god.
SPEAKER_10And then and then I and then Josh Mickelson was on the other side, and he was standing there right by uh standing like right by the barrel. Yeah and I went up to, and you know how Josh Mickelson is, yeah, with his with his personality trace, he's just very quiet, reserved, and just does doesn't want to talk to you. It's just like, and then I went up to him, he sees sees me, I look at him, I go down like that, and he looks at me and goes, get the fuck out of here.
SPEAKER_12Like and then I showed it in the car, he was like, why, dude? What the fuck?
SPEAKER_10And it was funny because like that later on, it rained that night. It rained, no, so we couldn't slide. So it was the perfect time for me just to. I was like, I can't slide, I can scare still, so I can fuck around. So I went, so I was in midway the whole night just going to be on, just like putting my head down and just like attacking people. I'm just like, I was just going up to be on like I was I'll like wave at them and I'll go whoop and then like only down. They're like, so I'll go, whoa!
SPEAKER_04Holy shit.
SPEAKER_12They're like I put one down, and then one guy was like, dude, you gotta clean that shit up. I was like, holy fuck, man.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, I had those moments like that were pretty fighty. I've always had like really I mean, that's not the worst one I had. Yeah. The worst you haven't heard of the worst one I had?
SPEAKER_12Okay, uh I'll show you.
SPEAKER_10Was this was this in Carnival as as well? Yeah, still the same year? It was this in 23. 23?
SPEAKER_04Um, I was in there.
SPEAKER_12Okay, so I was in this, this happened um probably for one maybe one night.
SPEAKER_10But it happened for like a few hours. And if I can find the photo, I can really I can make this.
SPEAKER_12I'm telling you guys.
SPEAKER_10Oh my gosh. What is it?
SPEAKER_12Let me sorry, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_10Okay, so my makeup artist was like, I'm gonna do something different. Oh boy. It was one of my favorite makeup artists, by the way, for when she made my character because she really understood the character and all. So she tried and make a split personality. Okay, and then she so she drew, she did the thing, did one side white. Oh, dude, I think I've heard of this, and then the other side just black.
SPEAKER_08Oh no, and then oh no, and then it came out like this.
SPEAKER_06Oh, okay, and then oh shit. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Oh boy.
SPEAKER_12Okay, it kind of looks cool.
SPEAKER_06Hold on, it does look really cool. I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_12But it's she was it was like like you know, like an ICP that type thing, yeah. And then um, but like split personality, they're a split personality, but like I went out and then I had people just just stared at me, beamed at my
SPEAKER_10Eyes are like oh fuck and then I freaking stole I went out there and I saw I would and not only that John Aspirin saw this he saw it and he was like well it was like let's give it a try it goes like well let's give it a try it's like I don't know if this will work and I was like all right he goes like I don't know this will work but this does not look good dude I was like I'm like you think and then people were looking they're like well it kind of looks ICP carrot and I turned to the other side they're like oh fuck to the black side it's not the other side when I turned to the black side they were like oh fuck dude yeah dude you can't have that and then so I went I went out there to pre-scare and that was so they made me do this whole like um uh little uh gimmick scenario thing of like me going out with the I Usher broom in the excuse me in the Usher broom and like going through the gate up in the front and then and then like brooming so I did I did that twice but like the so the second time is when I had the half face yeah and uh I went out there and I was like brooming and I looked up and then people were like whoa oh fuck dude like damn and then I opened the door and I started running and I started scaring people around and then I write and for like maybe two minutes and I went to wrap around and then pasta and and Kyle and we're looking they're like come on they're gonna come over here you're done with that yeah yeah and then they have to redo everything again I heard but yeah it was so funny as fuck it was funny as fuck you didn't get to act out the second personality yeah I was they're like yo man I could have done like I could have done like a whole like Richard Pryder thing I don't know why like a or like a Paul Moody thing I'm like shut the fuck up food like you or like what's it Rick James Mitchell I'm Rick James motherfucker fuck your couch come over here what did the five fingers sit to the face slaping dude I yeah I mean you gotta know your audience right like you might think it's cool but then you get another perspective and then they're like uh actually no that's not gonna work yeah yeah it was I mean it didn't look terrible it didn't look it looked cool it looked really cool it looked really cool it's it it is true once you turn around and you don't see the white part anymore it it looks they just did say they told me they're like yeah we can't risk that with like dude we can't risk the wall yeah they're they're always gonna play it safe they're not gonna they don't want yeah yeah and that's no that's no uh like like knock out my artist because she wanted to do that and she was like that right thought it was funny as fuck it was like hey dude I fucking feel you dude badass dude I was like look badass dude I was like hey I'd fill you dude it was funny but like for a little bit and then but I was scared out of my life I was like oh fuck people think I'm like you know being like a bigot yeah yeah some bigot out there just doing a half black face just for no reason just having fun with it and people will find anything to get offended by unfortunately that's now that's the thing that's the way it is right now especially this time anything would be literally anything you say anything dude anything you say it's just like take it out of context yes man I missed the 90s I miss like the 80s I missed the whole or the early 2000s at least early early 2000s that's what that was really tough right early 2000s was like you can get away with a lot of shit the teens is when it like the 2016 is probably when it went is that when it went away yeah I think that's when like the new that that that's when like when I want to say when like Trump got into office and then that started the divide yeah and then but really the divide was when like the black black lives matter started and that was the like huge divide and then like when like Trump when Biden left Trump got into office like that was like it started to get like really squirrely because the pandemic the panda pandemic itself was like another thing.
SPEAKER_02That was a big start as well that's when the B2 stuff started B2 as well oh my god I mean some stuff was like wait am I being am I really being mean? I mean some stuff did get me thinking like maybe I have been an asshole this whole time you know but then I was like better than me I was like uh I don't know dude because when you're going to be soft dude when you're going I mean look I was a part of that generation where I got you got bagged on ridiculed they call it you know you your mama jokes yeah oh yeah dude you would get called your mama bro you would get blasted on by your own friends and then I mean you would go home crying sometimes because you had no comebacks I as you like I would say like the stuff that you saw on e bombs is a totally offensive thing to what people see today.
SPEAKER_10Like the things that you see on e bomb e-bombs world remember e bombs world no oh e bombsworld like dot com no that was like the thing to like you go on the internet you see like some unhinged like shit going on like yeah things that you cannot like s do today I mean you can you can still find it you can find it on Instagram you find those unhinged things too but like there were like those things that are like racist like too violent you know like like assaulting too sexual yeah yeah things were like people like some there's some people that get offended to that to this day it sucks but it kind of look that call like for my generation it would kind of put in your put you in your place and you kind of you kind of learned the hierarchy of things and of people and and your own limitations and I think that was a good thing.
SPEAKER_02I I personally feel because I mean I didn't turn out so bad. Yeah I mean I'm pretty I could I could be very empathetic to people with people and I could also you know when I want to I could turn on that switch and be a yeah you know a little a hole yeah yeah but I I mean I have a nice balance of both but yeah I I think you can cross the line sometimes.
SPEAKER_06Brother I saw I saw a lady I think it was actually yesterday I saw it she was a she got she went to a baseball game and you know how a strikeout is a K in baseball a K. A K? A strikeout was a K? Yeah they that's what they call like a K. Yeah so like on so for example at like Angel Stadium yeah whenever a pit whenever the home pitcher gets a strikeout on the board they put K. So after every strikeout they put a K as like to keep track of how many he gets um she got offended because it was a K. KKK Well there was four on the board so I don't know why she was she was upset but yeah she was offended over the K. She's like That's crazy. She got offended over the K? Over it being a K. That's why what does she want it to be a P?
SPEAKER_10Yeah I mean what do you want to be like a freaking S S SOS?
SPEAKER_06But that's just good it's just everything is someone's gonna get offended about it.
SPEAKER_10Someone's gonna be offended I mean you guys remember the one time when uh 5150 came out you guys remember 5150? No the whole um you I'm sorry you might have left what you might have left after trapped after that was really the time like after after like long time ago but like I might have been I'm not sure but like it was there was a thing You're talking about that what was it that maze that one the virtual reality one? Yes there was a thing called 5150 yes and they there was um it was like this asylum thing like a virtual reality and they one one person went in and said or wanted to try it and said like that was a totally offensive thing. I don't know the whole story much about but they they got very very offensive because it was talking about like mental health and about like how people like people live this way to don't fucking go in. I'm like then yeah I'm like then don't fucking go in.
SPEAKER_02Right people get upset with me when I was like playing the asylum character like you shouldn't be made fun of of people that have mental illness I was like I have mental illness like my mother just passed away fuck you like shut the fuck up hey man but they need to be represented too right yeah yeah I mean but but that's the reality of our world too because there are people that are mentally ill I guess they're probably saying it like they don't want those people to be used in this way to entertain people. I don't know.
SPEAKER_10Yeah it's it's uh it's way it's it's a it's the way it goes it's just like people gotta find something to complain about. What's that word? Um what it is but either way I'm I'm thinking like I'm I'm saying like either like either if you're on Theron you could take it too far on either side oh yeah oh yeah you know yeah yeah I mean people on the left and people on the right can take it I just mean the middle somewhere I'm always am in the middle I'm like I'm always on the middle with everything. Yeah me too because I don't like I don't like yeah sorry go ahead no no no go ahead and no I was just saying like it just like people like when I see things I was so like four on the left side I was like very far on the left that's like how I grew up like I I always thought like I mean I always still think to this day like President Obama was like in 2008 was like the best thing in the world. Right like the best like Lear show I'm like oh we got somebody like in that's like you know that's an African American and just our people our people and then I'm like that's that's a good guy like he's gonna lead the world and um he's saying like yes we can you know all that stuff felt very united. Yes united yeah yeah even like during the time when like seven September 11th happened you know like it didn't matter what like the who was in the apprentice you know who was in the who was in the seat of the White House. Right but um it matter of like us united. It was like that moment was like great like I love that mode like you see people honking and waving American flags everywhere they're like yeah yeah we're here for together I remember that and then like it's nothing like that anymore. No now now you get fucking shit thrown at you if you have American flag right you get thrown at you you get thrown shit at you and then it's like you get called a bigot for freeing up being a fucking American I'm like why yeah in America we're in America where it's my fucking country I'm like I represent that right obviously I'm gonna I'm gonna like respect for all other countries too because like you know I don't know what they go through but like I know they go through some harsh times and some of them go through great times too and um but the but like mine I'm gonna represent mine because we're in the greatest country in the world. That's how like I see it. Yeah but like the but during the time I always always like leftist like on like more leftist because that's how I felt like I was more I don't know it's like more doctrine doctrinated but more like I was taught that.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_10But also I lived with like conservative families. And then eventually like the pandemic came around and then that's when I started to like oh yeah this shit's squirrely as fuck.
SPEAKER_06Then I started to really decide like what what I am that's when kind of everyone was kind of like oh yeah let me rethink some things.
SPEAKER_10Yeah like I voted for um I I was forced to vote like I was not forced I was I was kept on being told and I didn't knew better during the time right I was being told like I I was being told to vote a certain way yes to vote a certain way but also I was being told to vote for uh Hillary Clinton and Hillary Clinton during the time she ran in that first term for uh for Donald Trump. Yeah and um so when Trump ran like when he lost when he won it was just like oh Rock Street and all but like that was told I'm like why I didn't understand yeah right why like why am I being told to like vote for somebody that I might think of like I don't really don't know. I know the I know Bill Clinton I know I know his fucking story.
SPEAKER_12I watched it on fucking Hulu I did not have sexual relations I have sexual relations and like the balls on that guy balls on that guy.
SPEAKER_10But he I heard he did great things during the time when he was president yeah he was cool man I remember I learned I I learned that he did was he learned how to balance the bill no he balanced the budget the budget I'm sorry he was the only dude that I think that everybody I'm sorry the bill I'm stupid no no you're not stupid the the the the budget he was the only president I think that I think ever balanced the budget yeah only person that balanced the budget very well like very well out of very all premises he was so cool man he was so cool but also he played the saxophone yes but I mean dude if he wasn't if he wasn't fucking freaky in the Oval Office I would have fucking been cool with I wouldn't like the guy yeah but you know that fucking psycho bitch you know that that woman and then have you watched the show the the one they did for um that Ryan Murphy did no they did one for for Bill yeah they talked about Bill it was um the Americ uh American um uh true crime story or whatever it's called and they have one for they have one for OJ Simpson and the Menendez brothers and the menendez brothers that one was that crazy dude that was crazy yeah because Javier the so the I'll tell you about the Menendez brothers but the first one was um was OJ Simpson Cuba Good Jr. Cuba Gunning Jr. played OJ oh shit yeah so that one was pretty intense too and I some other I he looked recognizable but he played Nick Furman uh for him uh the guy that was like the the detective detective a lead detective but he ended up being like a a super like they found out he was like a racist and a Nazi and he had like carried like Furman German yeah German he was uh he was like a swastika he was like I have a swastika somewhere you know in my cupboard you know something like that but like on his testicles on his testicles underneath my tint aka back of his head but like then this then later on they made the the Bill Clinton one was uh I think Clive Owen played um he played Bill Clinton how did I miss that one it was really good and then they um who was uh who was that girl that played in American horror story Sarah Paulson yeah Sarah Paulson she played the woman that tried to get him out that tried to like start that trial that like she was like this rat like woman like so I supposedly they they called her like crazy whatever on Hinge she like we're lived or lived in a weird life but like she was like very good at that that show but they made that the Menendez brothers was so good that was crazy crazy story Javier Bardam played the father of that of of the Menendez brothers so he he's so good by the way great great um and he so you know like how you know the whole story yeah yeah so like they play uh it's like uh they go back in time with like what how what triggered them to like kill them yeah and they talk about the father and of how the father would like abuse him and you know rape him and all that and he would like stuck he would get like tooth he will get like a toothbrush and stuck it up their asses. Yeah I've heard that oh you know what his whole logic behind that was no it was I I guess he had read stuff about the Spartans how the Spartans had young boys yes right yes I believe so yeah and that's that was hit in his mind that was his whole justification for doing that to his sons yeah isn't that isn't that crazy how people isn't that twisted so fucked up it's it's fucked up in some ways and then they they say like that's how like they that started to like trigger them but like also the all the bean and all that but it was um there was like scenes where there was one scene where you know because the brother one of the brothers started to lose their hair and he had to end up wearing a toupee so the dad got so he was they were at a dinner table yes in the scene and then like they went the brother with the toupee started arguing with the dad and then the dad got so mad he grabbed his hair and started ripping it off. Yeah my jaw dropped all the I was like yo because he see all the little holes right there how it got pretty much like uh glued in yeah toupee he was like oh fuck yeah the fucking bold you know like and then uh crazy crazy crazy crazy fucking show you should watch it it's on Netflix it's a good good good show but like and then uh talking about that Spartan stuff because there was a scene with like the the boy the younger the younger guy yeah um he was like in his 20s that he brought over to the hotel who was like on a business trip right he went to like a hotel and then he started doing like like having gay sex with him right and but he will wear a crown and a little um that little what's that little thing that they have the little leaf thing that robe that they wear over oh yeah yeah yeah they will he will wear a robe over him and then he'll but he'll wear a crown just like how the Spartans did during the time just like Julia you know like in um um toga I think they call him yes a toga but also there was in the scene where um where's that scene the gladiator was walking phoenix that little hat it's exactly that hat oh my god the golden leaves like golden leaves yes uh huh yeah the Caesars would wear those uh and you always started like slapping him and all that I was like yo I was like this is gay sex what you guys do this I do very nice I want to do nothing yeah it goes back to those ancient times huh like I don't know if you ever seen that movie Alexander with Colin Farrell oh yeah yeah dude I love that movie uh I don't know why sometimes I like weird movies and I I have no idea why or I or I love movies that are just garbage but I I think it's because there's scenes probably one or two scenes in there that I like or there's something that the music might be really good but the rest is trash. I mean for whatever reason I I I cling to movies or I gravitate to movies like that sometimes like yeah you know what I mean I watched a bunch a handful of times my dad I would used to watch it with my dad because it was all like on TNT he was like or he'll watch it he had the the DVD too we're gonna watch Alexander oh Alexander I was like man I don't want to watch fucking this gay shit yeah and then I'll watch it and then I watch like I see and then I'll watch that scene when he was like getting when Carl Farrell gets really freaky with the guys I was like getting fucking naughty this I'm like this is dad what you watching no there was like a scene with him and Rose Rosario Dawson oh yeah dude they were they were getting frickin' naughty yeah they're getting freaking naughty yeah dude but you know like submit dude they're a fucking god yeah there's there's stuff in books that if you don't read it you you won't know but when it when you see it in the movies you're like oh yeah did that really happen yeah yeah yeah that that was the ancient world dude that's fucking they were it was like real shit they got into like deeper like mythology stuff like during that time and like they found out more and more shit what they used to do like um what was a um Joe Rogan talks about like a lot um I don't know if you watch the show a lot like yeah but like there was a he talks about that red wine that they used to drink and they used to like trip on acid or like trip trip on acid mix it with something it was like some psychedelic thing but they used to drink it and they used to like trip yeah really hard I forgot what the the wine the drink was called but the the the Romans used to drink that and they was like trip really really hard in order for them to like something about stopping the war or something I don't know something something gay something weird that was the actual reason yeah that was actually like hey we gotta stop being gay whoops just drink support whoa God I'm trying everyone is gay hey dude isn't nothing wrong taking mdma guys God you want to know how I feel taking mdma I feel a really nice person I take but I I I microdose sometimes yeah yes um microdose microdose I'm not afraid to say it it's not it's not nothing like bad oh is it 930 yeah it's nine thirty six it's um it's the D fireworks oh it could be Angel Stadium uh no so I will I'll hear you will hear in the back oh that way right that this way Disney's that way Disney's this way in the back right behind you you'll hear in the back because uh so angels have like a weird way of like doing fire theirs is louder for some reason because I'm like down the street they're like but um yeah I I hear that but their their theirs is like more like muffled like a little yeah but MTMA great shit shit it's great shit dude hey go to music festivals freaking take take a microdose and you'll be fine and I wear sunglasses like this and I'll freaking just listen to the music oh my god dude I did that I did it when I was watching Ties though dude can I tell you a quick story about some something like that that I experienced oh tell me okay so are you afraid I tail good well this was okay so tell me my ex-girlfriend and one of my friends from college we were all hanging out at our apartment and they're like he was all like hey we should go to uh I don't know where it's at in San Bernardino we should go to that thing on New Year's Eve and like you know we should take whatever X I don't know what he was suggesting.
SPEAKER_02He was suggesting something and I was like alright yeah let's do it you know and then at the time I started taking like blood pressure medication so I told him I was like dude I don't think I could take it with that stuff that you have he's all right well just drink you know so anyways my girlfriend ends up bailing out so I'm stuck with my homie so we go to this EDC kind of place there's like a lake you probably know what it is I don't know what it's Dr. Wonderland probably Wonderland. No it's a festival it I I don't know dude it was like Somewhere in San Bernardino. So we meet at some hotel first. Yes. And then they bus us in from there to the place. So we get on the bus. So this is the start of it. And I was like, I should have known, like, this is a bad idea. We get on the bus and like we're in traffic, and all of a sudden it's like, everyone's like, Oh, I gotta go pee. I gotta go pee. And everybody had to go pee, dude. So by even me, I was like, Oh my gosh, I gotta go pee. So by the time we got there and we got off, everybody just ran out of the bus. And dude, everyone just whipping out their penis and just pissing, like right there in front of the bus, including me. I was like pissing, dude. It felt so good, like the greatest piss ever. And you get the chills, the girls were like squatting, like everybody, dude. Everybody had a we were because we were stuck on the bus for like a long time, and we were pissing, dude. And I was like, Oh my gosh. So we do that. So later on, it gets dark. I start drinking, and my homie's on something, he's on some X or whatever. So he's like, Come on, dude, let's go over here by the crowd. And I'm like, all right. So we start going into like this kind of hangar, and the DJ's like, and there's freaking lights and lasers and all sorts of things. People are like, just and there's like a guy with a stick with a cloud, and there's like lightning in the cloud, and I'm like, oh wow. And I'm like, I'm kind of I'm buzzed, I'm feeling good. And I'm just like, wow, I'm looking, and then I look down to my homie, and he's just staring at me, and he's just like staring at me. Everyone's like dancing, but he's turned around. Oh shit, he's just staring at me, dude. Emote, and I dude, and I just kind of like nod to him, like, what's up, dude? And dude, he stared at me for like an hour. What? Yes, dude. I was so uncomfortable after that. I was like, what the hell's going on? Hey man, we should have changed our friendship, dog.
SPEAKER_06I'm like, hey, dude. He wanted to go back to the old times. Yeah, you wanted to go back. It was so weird.
SPEAKER_10He went back in the Roman times. Alexander takes like the things I would do to you with this white wine.
SPEAKER_02I don't think he was drinking that wine that you're talking about. Yeah, dude. I think he was just on something. He probably was on something, but he was also tripped out. Well, when he came down, when he started coming down, so we're waiting in line for the bus. It was already like two, three in the morning or something, and the butt and we're freezing, dude. It's freaking cold over there, and we're freezing, dude. We're in line, and then he's just like looking at me again. Yeah, just staring at me again. He's like, You're mad, huh? I'm like, What? He's like, You're mad. I'm like, no, dude. Just turn into a woman. Yeah, dude. Like, are you mad? He's just like, your hair just like kept on growing and growing, anyways, dude. Long story short, I don't think we talked after that ever again. Really? What? It was just weird. You didn't talk after that? No, not really. No. Oh fuck, maybe it must have been. Maybe once after that, but that was it. You're like, hey, yeah, hey, how was that?
SPEAKER_09How was that life, dog?
SPEAKER_11And he's like, he's like, I don't know, dog. How about you tell me?
SPEAKER_09He's got a boyfriend now.
SPEAKER_10He's like, I got I feel I feel really good about that now. I work, I I'm uh I have a boyfriend now. He's a nurse now. Oh makes a lot of sense. Makes a lot of fucking sense now. He just kept on staring you. He's like, I'm doing great, buddy.
SPEAKER_02It was it was a very bizarre thing. So um yeah, in reference to your MD MDMA. MDMA, yeah. I just say maybe he was on that.
SPEAKER_10I just say that just to be like, you know, proper, you know, like this. It's a biological. What is it? What is it? What's the street name for it?
SPEAKER_09Well, just it's party favors.
SPEAKER_10Party favors have fun, freaking trip on acid, trip on uh moly. I do a Kenny flip, which is like you do acid and molly. But it depends on what microdose you take. Okay, but you do, but the thing is, I think that dude took too much. He might have took like a hand, he might. Or not enough. A nine, not enough. No, it took way, it took way enough because if he was staring out like that, because I've stared I I I mean, I've stared out in the distance like that. You just stared at people? No, no, no. I'll stare at people. I'll just like I'll just zone out. Yeah. No, the real him came out that day. The real him.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. It felt it felt it. I don't know, dude. I don't know.
SPEAKER_09It does, it shows your true self. Yeah, and then maybe he'll show the side of a thing, dude. And maybe he was like, What? Hey, you know what? Oh no. Maybe, maybe what maybe pussy's not good for me anymore. I fucking want that freaking salon. Yeah, give me that freaking fuck me up. Yo, man, emo tip me that dick. Dog, come here. Emo tip me that dick. Come here, give me that stand.
SPEAKER_02Bring that pyramid over here.
SPEAKER_10Bring me that fucking shit. Let me sit on it. Let me get that.
SPEAKER_08You're a scorpion king.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. Yeah. Let me say that Dwayne Johnson. Come here. Let me see your rock. Yeah. I'm gonna sarcophagus that ass. Yeah, no, I've uh I've had, but I think what the guy will happen to him is like he probably was like he probably took uh one or one that wasn't too much. It was too much for him. Like something that was too much for him. I don't know how many he took, obviously. But like there's some people that can't tolerate like a whole pill. Like I can't holler I can't tolerate a whole pill. I have to take like half. I take half of that.
SPEAKER_06How much is a whole pill? Whole pill is like it's just like how much like is it?
SPEAKER_10Um I don't know in a milligrams, but I know like the size of it. It's just like a regular like tablet. It's like a comes out like a square like this. Oh wow, or it comes out for like a long pill like that, and it's chewable, so you can chew it, and it just like it tastes like shit, but like you chew, but that's the ecstasy, but like the tablets were like acid, they're the like little squares. Yeah, you could take those and you just like if you want to take like half, you just like chew the middle and just like take the other half and you save that for later because like that's for like next day. But you say but what I learned from this over time is that you build a tolerance over it, yeah, because like you only want to take half. That's the science to it. All these fucking stupid asses freaking take all like two uh fucking pills or two acids, and they they take a hand, they take too much, and then they start that's why they look all woozy and they start staring at you, become gay, you know. They gateway come out the closet, yeah. They come out of the closet for sure. They're like they're like they come out as like Buffalo Bills, like, oh fuck me. Oh Johnny Boy. Johnny boy. Here's Johnny. Um but they but I've I've learned like I was very fortunate to learn from like friends that done that to me, like that taught me. So like, but the next day you will start like taking if you took half, you start taking like a whole one um whole like tablet, and then maybe like a a half, like a whole and a half a pill, one and a half a pill. It depends on your talent, so it just depends. Like, I I will test like uh they I just go by like whatever my friends tell me my group tells me, like I have a guy that guides me to that. I can't say his name because it'll give him a train. Don't put him on blast. No, no, no, no. No, I just don't want to I don't want him to lose his status. But it's just a friend, it's just a good friend of mine. And then and then Adam comes along with me too. Yeah, you know, Adam Adam Jahan. Good old God have we seen Adam Jahan freaking on edibles is so funny. Yeah, edible, like edible Adam Jahan is like the funniest. But like he so one time we went to um I take edibles too, and uh one time like it was when the last day of uh Dark Harbor we went um we went to um I talked about this like in the last uh the previous episode too with Adam and uh Angela. But they we all took edibles. Angela takes edibles, she can Angela will take, she takes like a whole rapid fire form. She's a high tolerance, she's a high tolerant. She will take like 30 milligrams and she'll be like, she'll be like half her eyes will be like half shut and she'd be like, I'm good. You're like, yeah, I'm good, I'm capable. She walked, she walked fine. I was like, holy shit. But she but me, like, I can only like I'm a five, ten milligram guy. Uh that's the most I'll take. I'll go up, like, I'll like if I'm like not doing anything for the rest of the night, if I want to like really want to like have a nice night, yeah, trip myself, and I'll like I'll put I'll like I'll take like 20 milligrams and I'll watch the exorcist. Oh, dude.
SPEAKER_08I'm like, yeah! Oh no, I'm like, Mary.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_10Oh, you're crazy, dude. Yeah, or I'll watch like a crazy ass movie. I will just watch something like insane. I'll just watch but like just a trip myself out. Like I I like moments like that where I'll just have like a fun time.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_10But like I'm not doing anything with the rest of the night. I'm just like chilling at home, and I'm a bit like right after I'll like knock, I'll knock the fuck out. Yeah, it'll be like a like literally like a 30-minute maybe an hour moment that I'll be like like knock out. But there was but anyway, I we went to dark harbor. I was like, I'm not gonna take the five mil, I'm not gonna take the gummy yet. I'm like, I'm gonna wait till like the end of the night. Because they're already taking theirs, like Adam, Angela, they're already taking theirs or they're taking their their edibles. And then later on, when like you know, like the have you you guys been to Dark Harbor, obviously? Yes. Um the bubble part.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_10So the bubble part recently for me. Um yeah, I went last year. Well, the bubble part when they have the bubble party, they'll they shoot bubbles around, and it's like that full of suds. So we were just like having fun and doing that, and then I went up to Angela. I said, like, hey, uh, can I take my edible? And she's like, Yeah, take it. I took half. And then um 30 minutes later, I was like, I'll take another one. I'll take my I'll take the other half. Yeah, and it was like five milligrams stall. I was like, man, I'm not feeling this yet.
SPEAKER_11And then like 15 minutes later, I was feeling like I was being lifted off with the suds. Really? I was like, holy fuck. You had a lifting sensation? Yeah, I was like, Yeah.
SPEAKER_12Like I was like getting beamed off from a fucking orbit.
SPEAKER_10I was like, I was like, holy shit. And then I was like, oh man, I feel it. And like I feel like the the the ground really soft, and I was like, oh my god, this is ground control to majetum. Good job. Then I so we went to drive off, and then they were like, Oh, do you want to see the lights? It's like fun when you like when you're when you're high. I was like, sure. Right. Then I um so we went to the bridge. You do you yeah, I don't know if you're familiar with like uh uh Long Beach, but there's a bridge with like lights, it kind of looks like San Francisco. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we went through that.
SPEAKER_02You're talking about the Vincent Thomas Bridge or the one by Long Beach. I'm not sure, but it has lights and it was blue.
SPEAKER_10Blue? And it looked like San Francisco.
SPEAKER_02Was it a green bridge? I'm not sure. That was probably the Vincent Thomas bridge.
SPEAKER_10But it had lights and it has like a long like bar and it looks like kind of like San Francisco, like the Gold Gate Bridge. Yeah, okay in some ways. Yes. But oh, we went, but we were like driving through there and we had to go around, but Adam was driving so fast, and I was like, I was like tripping. I was like, holy fuck. Like, Adam, can you stop fucking driving so fast?
SPEAKER_08And he was like, he's like, I'm fine, buddy.
SPEAKER_10It's fine, don't worry about it. And then Andrew's like, oh yeah, it's fine. Like, Adam, Adam, stop driving so fast. And then uh then right when we we saw like the thick, the the light and there at the bridge, and we were like, Oh, that's so cool. And we drove home and he was driving too fast, and I was like, Fucking Adam, please Adam, just don't drive, don't drive too fast. I thought he was driving too fast, but it was just it was just me, obviously. I was like freaking tripping. He was like, buddy, I ain't driving too fast. You need to shut the fuck up. And then I freaking he drove off and I kept on staring at him. The same time you I was staring at him, he was staring at Angela. See while he was driving, I was like, See, I'm not the only one.
unknownI was like, see?
SPEAKER_10I was like, I was staring at him like because I was looking at him, make sure he was had his eyes on the road. I was like, looking at him, and he was looking at Angela while she was on the passenger seat. I didn't say anything, I was like quiet mode. I was in shock mode. I was like, I was like, okay, I'm just gonna lay back and then after that, it was just like shit like that.
SPEAKER_02And I calmed down after, but I was like, done with that, dude. One time my cousin made some brownies, some weed brownies, and I ate one like a square. Dude, I had I was having the craziest dreams for like two days straight. Like I was so high, dude. I wanted it to end. I was like, like stop at one point. I was like, I was like frustrated. I was like, please, like, I want it to end.
SPEAKER_06Do you remember the dream?
SPEAKER_02No, dude, I was like flying, I was like going through all s I was having very vivid, like you know, dreams I remember. And it was just very specific and very I was just like, what the hell? Like it wouldn't stop for two days, dude. That I mean I'm I'm guessing it was because it was in my blood, it was in my system. That's why it took a while to get out. And dude, that was I'd never again, dude. Never well, never again for the uh that size of brownie. I don't know how much he put in it, yeah, but I did take gummies one time and I felt pretty good with the gummies.
SPEAKER_10Well, gummies and edibles like that, they have a higher tall a higher uh THC and they give you more of a like a psychedelic like state. Yes. It's more of like a trip state, so they give you like much more than versus like a a like smoking it. Smoking it's like I I don't know. I I guess I'm really not much of an expert, so like don't quote me on it. From what I know, like from eating edibles and then smoking it, right? It's like a whole different like feeling. I don't know if you smoke or else. I've never done anything. Okay, cool. That then they the good good job, good boy. Like I'm like, don't do it.
SPEAKER_06No, no, it wouldn't be dudes. Would it? Yeah, it'd be fucking dude. It'd be you, Dario.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, wouldn't it? Or with the wig. With a wig. Um the first but the first time I'd like curse on me, Dario. The first time I had a cookie like that, like an edible like that before. So I went to this like um dispensary all the way down in like Santa. And um I went to take a bus there and I had a bike. And I uh took both and I went to grab the this cookie. Like I didn't know what was grabbing, I just wanted to grab an edible. And then I I was like, um, so what is this like cookie thing? They're like they're like kind of selling me on it basically. Yeah. And I don't know much. I was like, oh yeah, sure. I'll so I and they said like it's a hundred milligrams, and uh, but divide it, it's like ten each. And then there's a knife, there's like a little that like there should be something to like help you like divide the thing. I was like, okay. I opened the thing, I couldn't find the like the piece to divide the thing. I was like, oh, and I'm like, you know, very curious. I'm like so anxious. I'm like, you know what? I'll just take it, I'll just do it, but I'll I'll like free ball it. Oh so I took it and I thought like, oh, this is like 10 milligrams, and I ate that, and I I realized looking, I'm like, oh, it's more than 10 milligrams. I'm like, it looked like it was like almost half. Oh no skinny to half, and I was like, oh, and then I was sitting on the bus, I'm like, oh shit, like everything started to like zoom out, like go further away. I was like, oh fuck. And then I had my bike like uh racked on the front of the bus, yeah, and I got off, and I thought like the the bike was so far, so I was like reaching my hand like really far, like like grabbing, like and they're like I was like trying, like touching it, touching it like so many times, like making sure to get off. Yeah, and the bus driver's like, what the fuck are you gonna do? What are you taking so long? Like, how are you taking so long?
SPEAKER_09What's going on here?
SPEAKER_10You know, move it, yeah. Move it. Then um and I went home and I uh drove, uh like rode off, and I was like so high. Yeah, and I laid down on my bed and I was like laughing so hard. And then I had my window open and I started to smell campfire wood and like like like smoke like from like a beach house.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_10And I started to realize I'm like, oh shit, I like beach houses. And I really did. I started to like I just came to this like realization, I started to really like beach houses layers on. I was like, what the fuck? So I like really like the scene the scenery and the smell of like a beach house and a campfire wood. Like sometimes they have that in in different beach houses, but like I don't know, like can't like in a if you go to like one that has like a bonfire and a beach, yeah, yeah, like that kind of scene.
SPEAKER_02It's a different smell. I think because of the ocean and the burned smell. But I started smelling ocean, like the ocean smell too.
SPEAKER_11I was like, why am I smelling ocean smell? Oh yeah. I'm like, holy shit.
SPEAKER_10But um, yeah, it was like moments like that. I was like, fuck. Yeah, it's flawed funny. Yeah. Anyway, edibles. Yeah, yeah. Did you did you hear the did you listen to um the story with Tom Zagura when he took like the the edible? Oh, was it when Joey Diaz dosed him?
SPEAKER_12Yeah. Did you hear about this? No, yeah.
SPEAKER_10So uh Tom Zagura like had took a flight with Joey Diaz, and then he took he took like a he took like uh edible, yeah, edible. Yeah, and but like he he's like he's like, motherfucker, take this, you cocksucker. And then he uh took the edible and he was like, is this 10 milligrams? Because he's like a 10 milligram guy. Yeah. And he's like, Yeah, is this something like that? He took it, and then like and then Joey Diaz goes, oh, and he goes, he goes, what the fuck? What? He goes like oh nothing, nothing, nothing, motherfucker, nothing. But then uh worry, don't worry about it. Then he ended up taking 250 milligrams of edibles, so he was tripping.
SPEAKER_13250?
SPEAKER_06Well, dude, you gotta so Joey Diaz does like a thousand milligrams at a time, and he's fine, he's fine. Oh, he yeah, he's got so he so he likes to dose people and just see how they do. Oh, he does it on purpose. He knows what he's doing. So they should I mean being friends with him, he should know. Right, don't trust what he's saying, yeah.
SPEAKER_10Yes, right, and he does like he dosed him like and he but Joey was taking like 500 milligrams. He's like, dude, like how much he took? He's like, he took 200 milligrams of cocksuka.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, he was like, he's like, motherfucker, I'm five, I'm taking 500 and I'm dealing with the devil, baby. I want to see the devil. I want to see the fucking devil. Yeah, that shit's so funny.
SPEAKER_10He's the best. Yeah, man. I watched this recent episode with Joe. Uh oh yeah. It was fucking funny when he was talking about like when there's this, there's this part on the podcast when he was when he told uh when Joey told Joe, he was like, Yeah, you know, I saw you on uh on a late night show, but I was um but I was having a three-way with this fat chick and a skinny chick. And then and I were I was like, I was always I was like going out, I was like, I remember you will be on a late night show. So I told I told the chick, I was like, put on that freaking late night show, as I was like tackling these two motherfuckers, and then and then all of a sudden the fat chick fucking left and then was crying and saying that because I like the freaking skinny chick. It was fucking the the life that guy's lived is crazy. It was crazy though, crazy shit. Um so I I know much of Dario, much of you. Um because you started how well when when would when did you start Scary Farm?
SPEAKER_062017.
SPEAKER_10What made you like do hunt?
SPEAKER_06Well, because I went as a kid. I think the first year I went was I was like it was 2008 or nine. So I was probably like nine years old. Yeah, I think I was like a fifth grader, fifth or fourth grader. Um and so I went with my parents, because you know, my my parents would drop off my sisters all the time to Scary Farm when they were teenagers, you know? Yeah, and I was like, fuck man, like why can't I go with them? You know what I mean? And I was like like four or five, you know, I wanted to go. And uh because they'd always tell me about like the mazes, there was a polka dot maze, and I was so infatuated with this polka dot maze that they had at the time, I guess, or whatever. And so then I finally got to convince them to go, and then we went, and I went through quarantine. That was the first ever maze I went through. Loved it. Took my cousin, he was terrified. So I went through one other maze that whole night, and we spent the rest of the night taking pictures with monsters and talking to the monsters and whatever. Because I didn't want to leave my cousin, you know. What was the camera like? Was that the Kodak cameras during the time too?
SPEAKER_10It was like the little dispos the you know, the ones you get at like yeah, disposable ones that you get at uh sidetreat up, yeah. Yeah, sidetrack. Sinatra would uh he came when he came on here, he would tell me stories that he he would buy like he had multiple disposal codec cameras, and he would take pictures of monsters when he wasn't like he was a guest during the time. He would take pictures, so he saved like a lot of them. I don't know if he still saves them now, but he still like had a bunch of them. That's really cool. Yeah, it's really cool. Like those times, like taking like like disposal cameras, people still do that to this day. Yeah, but they still they do like one of those um what is that one? Um uh is it a portrait picture? Is that portrait camera? Polaroids, polaroids, mini polaroids, yeah. Mini Polaroids, they still do that. That's awesome. Yeah, that one is cool. I have collected a few of those. Uh we have I have one with um uh Alex Reinhard, me literally after the the whole blackface thing, they redid my makeup because uh they did like a flame. Um, so it's me and then Rick uh murder, uh Rick uh strawberry. Me and Rick Strawber strawberry, me, and then we took a f a uh Polaroid picture, it looked really cool. But like I like those moments, like those kind of like picture moments. But sorry, go ahead and go finish your stuff.
SPEAKER_06No, yeah, yeah. So so uh yeah, just from that, like you know, I I went that was my first experience and I wanted to keep going back. And so the next year we went back, the next year we went back. And then so uh I graduated high school and so 2017 I graduated high school and uh I was just sitting on home and and somehow on Google on my laptop I came across not scary from my dish or uh application and it was like mid-August, maybe late August. So the auditions had already happened, you know, and obviously I didn't know anything about that, but uh so I'd never had like a like an actual job before. I worked at a like a snack shack, so I was like, you know, fuck yeah, let me apply. Snack shack? Like a snack shack for like a soccer league, you know? Oh, okay. That was like the only thing I ever did, and so uh, and I and I had family members like, oh, you need to get a job, you need to get a job, right? So I was like, fuck it, let me do not scary farm. And I always want I I love it, I love going, so let me go try and be a monster. And so I I texted my friend, I was like, hey, I'm applying to not scary farm. Apply with me. Let's do it. You know, we'll we'll carpool on the way there, whatever. So I so I just applied, and then I got uh emailed to come in, and then me and him both went in and and bam, got not scary farm.
SPEAKER_10And this is your friend that did that with you. Is that was that friend still?
SPEAKER_06No, he he did the first year. So um when we went into the office, the uh the employment center, um they they knew that it was like my idea, like like he was just there just to be there, you know? And that I was the one interested, and the role they had was for voodoo. And they were looking at me and him, and they're like the costume would fit him better because he's shorter and skinnier. It would just like is it okay if like we give it to him and then we'll put you on call, and then whenever something comes up, we'll give it to you. Cool. So he got he started when like the season started, and he was in voodoo. He only worked that year. Um, and then uh I waited, and then I got a call to come in for pumpkin eater. Or actually, no, I got a call to come in. I think they were doing measurements or something, and Jacob Caputo, who's been our lead forever, yeah, yeah, yeah. He was the one I first met, and he was like, Hey, like, how tall are you? And I told him, He's like, You're coming to pumpkin eater. You're gonna be Peter Pumpkin Eater, you know? And I was like, Okay, there you go, and that's how it started. Oh shit.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, yeah. And then um, did you have like any like um like were you a fan of like the Halloween stuff at all?
SPEAKER_06Like Yeah, I've always I mean I've always like I the first ever scary movie I watched was I was like five. Oh shit it was like it was either American Werewolf of London or It. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_10The classic Tim Curry.
SPEAKER_06Uh-huh. Yeah. Uh so I've always I've always been into that stuff, you know. My me and my mom would always go to the watch scary movies at the theaters and at home, you know what I mean? So I was always into that stuff.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. But you weren't much of like athusiast to it.
SPEAKER_06No.
SPEAKER_10Yeah.
SPEAKER_06No.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. That's the those ones like are just like they have I feel like for those ones, they have like a longer backstory. Yeah. Because they feel like they're like, oh, I used to like very be inspiration by this, and I was I used to do like, you know, mazes in my home and all that stuff. Like like root feelings? Sorry, go ahead.
SPEAKER_06Well, actually, like when I was a kid, we had like a friend that did like his home hunt. Okay. And my friends would always work in it. And because I didn't know the kid, like I obviously I never got invited to work it, but I was always jealous because I wanted to work in it too. You know what I mean? I wanted to be able to scare people.
SPEAKER_10So I guess maybe that little bit, but yeah, it was a little bit like me too. Like, I didn't have that much of like I wasn't really into it, I was actually really against it. I was like, I I thought it was like toll, like like devilish shit. I was like, this whole shit's like devilish. And I'm like, you like Halloween? I never liked it. I like I said, I I told you guys on your podcast I was afraid of the exorcist. And I was afraid of like scary like movies like Scream, like I was terrified of it. Yeah, but now I can watch the Exorcist, I fucking laugh at that shit like freaking like it's uh one of my favorite moves, uh one of my favorite horror movies or say to watch. Yeah. So when you got in uh punk eat ear, like how was that well, how was the experience with that, by the way? Just doing punk eater, because that's like a very like that was a how long was that maze? That was that's maze that's been there for a while, right? It was there for like what four four years, maybe? Maybe four, right? At least four.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, because I was the opening cast. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I got 26. I mean, I got lucky because uh like the role that I got, someone just quit. That's why I got it. Um there was another person that was Peter, yeah, and then uh he would yeah, he was definitely bigger than me because I didn't get his costume. I got a costume that was not finished.
SPEAKER_10But um and it was uh it was uh during open hire too. So like it was a lot like you get like when you do open hire, it was like that time it was just like you get the rest, like the the like crumbs of like whatever you get, whatever spots available you get, yeah. Then they they'll like maybe like switch you yeah to a spot. It depends on like what the situation is. Like, not a lot of people can get that, not a lot of people were lucky. Some people were even lucky enough to like um even do mazes and then they get on streets, yeah. Like that kind of situation, like where people then I I I mean I never thought that was a problem at all because I was like, but people thought, like, well, what the fuck? How is that person getting to get was in mazes for like a day and then all of a sudden it streets the next day? I'm like, how the fuck's that happened? I'm like, well, I don't know. Everyone has like a different journey, but also everyone, it's a different situation because people do quit right on streets and they need to cover people. Yep, it's like right on it's like due to manager's ideas. So you did pumpkin eater and how so you how long you did that for?
SPEAKER_06Just a one year. A one year, just the one year, yeah. I did the one year. Um, I enjoyed it a lot. Um the cat we were A-Cast, I was a cast, and me and the cast, we were we all got along like family. So those it's something that's kind of rare, right? Yes, yeah. And so, you know, us and and Jacob all got along really well. Um that's a great, that's a great cast lead, man.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's actually just so smart and just so very well like if like if you want the machine to keep turning and you know to have everything working, that's the guy to run the machine.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, that I I see that I saw that a lot when I mean he's perfect to open venues too. Venues, yeah.
SPEAKER_06I mean, he opened Mary and he opened pumpkin eater, uh, dark entities, Goring Twenties, Mary, and I don't know what else before that.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, but like he he like was like I I see they see that guy, like yeah, it's so it's it's great how you the see him potentially open up a maze, and then they say like we can trust him to open up other maze other mazes, other street zones. Yeah, the yeah, the things I heard about it was just like great things. I've never heard well.
SPEAKER_06I mean, I I mean, you know, he became one of my friends. I was to the point where I the 2018 season came and I I purposely did shitty in my audition because I knew I was just gonna follow him to his maze. And it was at a time where it was in that building and you walked in there and all the lead, the cast leads for the mazes were in there. Uh was it by the employment center? Yes. Yes, so that's yeah.
SPEAKER_10We we used to go on backstage. Yes, backstage. We used to have that a lot over there. So you go in, it's like it's um I think it was called the it's I think it's the HR room, if I remember. Uh might have been. Yeah, so we we would go there a lot. I would, I would that was like for the first handful of years, uh, that was like my the spot we go to. We stay in line. There was a long line in the deployment center. We it will wrap it through like by the gate. Is that when you walk in, you it's towards the left? Yes, the left. That gated one, that brown gate. So like there'll be that once that gate opens, like you there'll be a line near like where the rails are, and you will just go around with all the like the quotes, whatever written, and then it'll go out in the front of uh Ployman Center, straight down, and you just make that right on all the way down towards like Southgate. It'll go all the way down Southgate at one point, it was like that long. But they they would have him over there for like years, years. Even when I first started, I was I was right there. Uh sorry, I just uh continued, but like you were so you auditioned there, and then um what what else happened?
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah. So I I I I purposely flunked that audition. It was in the paranormal maze. That's when they did in paranormal, and it was hot as fuck in there. Oh I did I auditioned there actually.
SPEAKER_02That was fucking and then we had a way out of carnival, hmm, and they rejected me. Motherfuckers. No, well, it was my first year back from uh C file. Yeah, so they sent me to Pumpkin Eater. Well, yeah, the year after me.
SPEAKER_06Oh, we missed each other. Oh shit, that's crazy. That we're but uh yeah, but then I I I they're like, okay, you're going to amazing. I was like, Yeah, I already know. And so then I walked in the in that building, and as soon as I walked in there, Jacob saw me. He's like, This one's mine, no one touches him. And so I just went straight to him and and uh sat down and we were discussing the characters, and he was like, Okay, like like I have there's these are the characters that I have, like you can be a soldier, a mutated soldier, or a dark entity. And I was like, okay, what the fuck's a dark entity, you know? And he's like, I don't know. He's like, I don't I have no idea, they haven't told me anything. He's like, I just know that like the mutated soldier is kind of gonna be like a zombie, and then the soldier is just a regular soldier, and then uh the entity, you know, I don't know. And so uh I sat there for like a good like 10 minutes trying to decide because I was like, I don't this is this is I don't know what to pick, you know? Yeah so I picked mutated soldier, thank god, because out of all those choices, that's that was the best one.
SPEAKER_10Um then yeah, you got then you got casted, and I got casted in there in in Dark Entities. Uh-huh. That's crazy. Yeah, Dark Andes Maze. That's that made it. Dark titties. Dark Kids say Dark and Tities was so there, it was so long that it's been there. There was like one year it was there. I was like, when the fuck is that maze gonna turn down? Because it was like right, dude. They never finished it. I they I bet I don't think they did at all.
SPEAKER_06Like the first year there were so many things like that, like we're like, I wouldn't like you, like I didn't know. Like, for example, like the the dark entity, it started off with a dude behind like a puppet, like a puppeteer, right? And he would they would have to press it and move him or whatever the fuck, move his arms out to get to people, and then by the end of it, it was animatronic. It did it on its own.
SPEAKER_12So fucked though.
SPEAKER_06And then we had there was like so then then all of a sudden, like a few weeks in, there was uh like these cla like um clear signs that like had nothing on it, like blank signs basically. And so there was one here and then one next to the dark entity, and they were just there, and I was like, what the fuck's the point of these things? And then all of a sudden, one week, like a few weeks later, one of them had security the security cameras on them. So I can see like when people are coming through. So that was kind of cool. But then the other one just never got finished. Oh, that's crazy, it was just blank the rest of the time.
SPEAKER_10So I'm curious, so where did you take your breaks at? Did you have to go through that black gate in the back and go take your break?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, so we had to go, so I was oh my god. Um how did I leave? Yeah, I think I would because I was at the I was in the very last room. Yeah. So I would just walk out and then go through that black gate and then walk all the way around to uh like where that that fence is where the entrance of the maze was. There's like a fence in the warehouse. We were like all stuck right there.
SPEAKER_10Oh, that fence and that warehouse. That that warehouse was that warehouse that you guys went in the inside the warehouse? No, we were outside of it. Outside of it. We weren't allowed inside. Oh, okay. Even when it was raining. Yeah, so um that so wait, if I remember, so that black fence, you got out, yeah, and you were right by like where Southgate is. Yeah. And then you would just go straight down. Yeah. Well, where would you turn?
SPEAKER_06So, like if so let's say you come in through the Southgate. Yes. You just go straight all the way down that that warehouse, and then take a left, and that that whole area was the well wasn't big, but it was a breaker. It was us and uh Paranormal, I think. We were sharing that area.
SPEAKER_10Oh, oh, on the other side, on the other side.
SPEAKER_06It's like like basically we were facing, I think, the parking lot. Facing the parking lot, the south part, the south part.
SPEAKER_10Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Okay, I remember that. Yes, yes, I remember that. Yes, yes. Okay, so because paranormal have that spot. I remember that because that's when uh I I would I went over there once because Aaron Frame was the castle for Paranormal. Yes, and now we we me and Vi uh went over there and just go bother him. We're like, we're like, we went to go see the man. They're like, who? They're like the man. They're like, oh, this guy? They're like, Yeah, Aaron. Like, how do you guys know him? We're like, we used to scare with him. We're like, we're really good friends with them. So we just go there and just sit say hi to him, just like talk to him for a little bit. So it's funny that black that black gate right in front of like the entrance of the dark andes. Uh huh. If you go through that gate outside of it on the left hand side, that's where I used to sit at.
SPEAKER_06Really?
SPEAKER_10Yeah, that's where I sat at the whole time. I've still sat there to this, I still sit there to this day. Really? I sit there the whole time. Yeah. I still I sit there when I when even when I was in Carnival, I'll sit there by myself. And um right after that, I would just go lakeside, but I will always sit in that spot. Why? So um during that, so I we eventually, you know, we were on the porch for like so long. You guys know the porch. I told you guys the porch story. Yeah, the porch story. We used you sit sit there, you know, the whole story with like Morty, the tree of despair. That was like the whole funny thing about to you didn't have a seat. Yeah, I didn't have a seat. I didn't know what to sit with. I was like, fuck. And like they told me to get out of the way, you know. Like, I that's my spot. I'm like that's my rock. Like, that's my spot. I'm like, oh yes, that's the story, yeah. Sure. So we went, and then we all of a sudden we had a tent. We had the big tent. Yes. Um, I think this is when when where it's at now? Or a different cruise, right? That's when they start the uh in front of cruise?
SPEAKER_06Oh no, oh no, no, sorry.
SPEAKER_10Uh where we get our cards.
SPEAKER_06Yes, when we get your cards.
SPEAKER_10So, like that big old tent, that's when it started to develop. And then uh, so I think if I were if I'm clear, if I'm uh to my knowledge, that's when in 2017, and that's when Denise Paxton came in. That's when she was our castle. Okay, that's when she started. I think from what I know, if I believe I could be wrong at this, that during that time she asked for the big tent. She asked for us to stay like to have that that tent is ours. Oh, we we had our big group, the the royalty group, um, our silly group. We had if so it was like me, Aaron, Vi, um Wyatt, it was uh Matthew Cropstein. Um uh there's a guy named Cameron White, uh Art Dracula. Art Dracula! Art Dracula, where is he at Johnny, uh Johnny Espinito, like all these other individuals, like and then called Johnny. And then we had a guy, we had a um another friend that she was there the longest too. She played the quilt in Ghost Town. She was uh named Wiggles. Oh her name is J her real name is Jessica, but we call her Wiggles. But all of us, we were like, we don't want to stay in this fucking tent. Yeah, it's too fucking musky, and there's a bunch of people talking. We're like, well, just stay on the other side of the tent tent. So we went further down, right by that warehouse by Southgate, and we were right there, and we were like, okay, this is like basically just our we call it our spots, we'll just have fun with it. And then we start we we we were further, we we started grabbing velvet ropes, we part, we put it around the area, we had our whole section just for us. Oh, and then one of the associates got really pissed off. He's like, You cannot fucking use this this velvet rope. And and art's like, What are you talking about? It's like I'm like, fuck. He's like, What the fuck are you talking about, man? This is this is our freaking area. It's like and he was playing around, he's like, We're fucking rolling over here.
SPEAKER_12We're just like, I'm like fucking around.
SPEAKER_10But people will get pissed off like about the fact that I'm like such a great troll, by the way. Yeah, so good, it's so good, it's so funny about it. Uh, but yeah, then ever since like when we we had that for the longest time, to like 2017 to like 19. And then in 21, all four of us, Vi, Aaron, Wyatt, um, and me would have that spot, and then because it was just Aaron and uh Wyatt's last year, so we all just sat there, and then I told him, like, you know, if I ever do plan on going somewhere else, I'll I'll still stay here. So I just kept that spot.
SPEAKER_02You're the last man standing there?
SPEAKER_10Literally the man standing there. It became to the last dance, to the last man's like to the last man's day. Like, dude, that kind of tugged on my heart right now. I'm not even gonna lie. I took like I didn't really say that to him, but like in my in my own thoughts, I said, like, if they if I ever move, I would, I would definitely like I would definitely hold that spot sacred for us. We had so much fucking good memories. Memories, like me and it's such a solid crew, too. It sounds like it. Yeah, we do.
SPEAKER_02That's rare, dude.
SPEAKER_10We don't you're not guaranteed that. I'm I'm so fucking fortunate that I had like a solid group like that. I just got this guy. You got a great dude. He's a great dude. Come on, you guys. But like I learned like it's like learning like a set of like value. There's like everyone's taking different values from haunt. Yeah, everyone because haunt's so subjective now. Yes, you know, you can take it your own way, you could take your own journey. But like, I'm so uh fortunate that I yeah, I learned it the very hard way, because more like d DIY type way, right? And learn it like you have to and uh get out, don't get in anyone's way, basically. Right. And uh you have to learn how to fucking work your set work your way up, yeah, and work hard at it. And then but I learned a lot from like guys like them, and they taught me real like real values about it and working hard and throwing numbers and scaring, and it's like don't don't worry so much about the character, just go out there and fucking scare. Yeah, go out there and scare and have fun. Have fun with your have fun with this character. Yeah, get to know the character, like learn about it, but like freaking scare the shit out of people, yeah. Like go out there and work, get out there and work. It's all about working. And uh I kept on doing it, it was just all reps, rep, reps, and then I'm very like fortunate. I learned a lot from them, but um, yeah, yeah. Sorry, it was a side subject for that. But um, so but how long were you in Dark Entities? Just the one year. Oh shit.
SPEAKER_06So you were in multiple were you in multiple mazes or something? No, only those two. Oh, okay. Just those two, and then I was off for 2019 because I was in book, I was in the military. Oh, no way. Yeah, I was in the military. What got you into that? Uh I was going to college and I didn't know what the fuck I wanted to do. So I was just taking random classes, you know. And my brother, uh, he was in the Navy, um, probably like 2010-ish. And so he had been out already. And uh he wanted uh he didn't know what what he wanted to do either, you know. So he he thought, oh, let me go back into the military, but let me go join the army. And so when he went to the recruiter, um the uh the recruit like he was telling him about me, and the recruiter was telling him, like, oh, like you there's a buddy system, like you guys will get the same job, you guys will get stationed the same spot, your your boot camp's gonna be uh not as long because you were already in the military, right? So it's gonna be half the time. Uh but yeah, so just you know, bring them, tell him, you know, and bring them and and we'll get you guys suit uh you know settled. Well fucking I joined and he didn't. So that uh that system doesn't exist. They tripped you? They they done did it. I mean, they you know, I I mean I was kind of I was down doesn't like the army do that anyways.
SPEAKER_10No, they do that, they lie, they lie their asses off. That's crazy. But uh so they just like kind of like got you in. They locked, they cornered you in.
SPEAKER_06I mean, I was down to go either way. You know, I I needed uh I needed to change, you know what I mean? I needed to go experience something else, get out of something like harder or just something like more well just I was I was stuck, you know what I mean? So I I just needed to get out and and how old are you at the time? I was 19 or 20. Well, it's it's normal. Yeah, I was I was like 19.
SPEAKER_10It's rare for those kind of they those kind of ages these days. Like I know like now it's like I know one girl, like her daughter uh gr just graduated high school and she immediately wants to go immediately wants to go to um the Navy.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_10I'm like, I was just like, why? It's like I wonder cares why it's just like because she wants to get something out of that. Yeah, she wants to learn, like she you but but you do, you get like a career out of it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah. If you if you choose wisely, yeah. You get to travel, yeah. You get to travel. You make friends, you do, but you experience something that most of the people aren't gonna experience.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, that's like a small percentage. That's a very small one percent of people that learn. I think it literally is one percent. Yeah, literally the one percent that don't get they get learn something completely different. Yeah, and you go through shit that adversities.
SPEAKER_08You go through some hard adversities, I bet, especially the Marines.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah, fuck that fuck, dude. Was that ever in your mind? Marines? Yeah. No, hell no. That was a lot you know now that I think about it, I wish I would have chosen like the Air Force or the Navy or even the Coast Guard. Well, it's Just because there's more of like a career path afterwards.
SPEAKER_10Is that more at ease? Is that like more like is it?
SPEAKER_06Well, it's definitely easy. Well quote unquote easier. Like you get treated better, you get paid better, you get fed better. And especially in boot camp. Yeah. And it's just an easier process than army or the Marines. So how was the process for the army? Well, I mean I mean in in the what way?
SPEAKER_10In like in a way where you because you got in. Yeah. You got you got you got yourself uh signed up, and what was that like first day like?
SPEAKER_06Okay, well, okay, so there's two first days. Oh there's there's reception, that's day zero. I think it well, I think technically the other one's day zero, but let's say it's day zero, right? So that's reception. That's when you get off the plane, you get you're greeted by a drill sergeant, and you you get taken on a bus to the the base, and uh you go straight into the you get yelled at to get off the bus, and you're in your civilian clothes, you still have your hair, you know, and uh you know, then you go in this room and they have you like if you have this, throw it away. If you have this, you know, you know, uh put your belongings over here and and uh you know sign this paper or bring your paperwork forward. Like it was just like like a just like a rush of things happening. It's like juggling back and forth. Yeah, just like just a lot of shit, new information coming at you where they're you know, they're just whatever it was. So the the first day was technically three days long because we didn't sleep the first three days. So the first three days were was that, um, you know, getting your uniform, getting your first haircut, you know, experiencing the chow hall, like learning how to march, you know, all this, all these like little things that you're learning, getting all your gear, all this information, uh, getting shots that you don't know what the fuck they are. We gave they gave us this pill. We called it the boner killer pill. Don't know what it was. All they told us was so it was like in like a little paper, like you know, when you go to like a restaurant and you get uh go to get ketchup and they give you those little white paper cups. It was in one of those. And they said, do not touch it, do not chew it, don't even look at it, put it in your mouth and swallow it. Otherwise, you'll get sick. You'll get very it's a live virus or whatever the fuck. So we don't know what the fuck we're doing. We're just said, okay, we're just told to take it, so we gotta fucking take it. I don't fucking know what I'm taking. So then right after that, we got into the room and there's people with needles just lined up. And then on you had like a checklist, each person had a checklist. Some people had needed like 10 shots, some people needed one shot, some people needed I needed like I think I got like six six shots. Oh so like I probably got like four in one arm and then two in the other arm. Why I don't know what the fuck they were.
SPEAKER_09Why why was it six shots for you though? Was everybody getting six shots?
SPEAKER_06No, uh, some people I guess they went up the based off their health records and like what you've gotten in the past and what you haven't gotten. So some people ended up getting like ten shots. I don't know, and we don't know what the fuck we got, but we got it right everywhere on the upper body? No, it was in the arm, it was in your arm. Oh shit. So I had like four shots in one in the left shoulder and like two in the right one or something like that. It was crazy. So then you go, you're in usually you're in the reception area for like a week. We were there for uh three days, three or four days, maybe. Uh so like half the time, luckily, because then we get it over four days sooner. So then this is when day one starts. Day one is you get on the bus and you go to where you're actually gonna be living for the next two and a half months or whatever it is. And so uh they don't do this anymore because we're all soft now. Uh it was called uh well, it's Hell Week, but they called it Shark Attack. So Shark Attack is your first actual first day. So then you you get on the bus, you arrive at your spot, and then the drill sergeant comes up and starts yelling, yelling at you and get off the fucking bus, and you have your fucking two rucks or rucksacks or um not rucksacks, um what are those bags? Duffel bags, yeah, two duffel bags with all our shit. And uh so we're running off the bus with these fucking 20, 30, 5, 40 pound bags, you know, two of them, you know. And so where you run, you have to run, and then you have to uh I think we were given like a like a colored patch, and so you ran to where your color was gonna be. So that was our gonna be our area. And um they had a stand on numbers, and then we were just getting smoked for like the next like three hours. Smoked is like basically exercises where they fuck us up, and so like they had us holding like the duffel bags over our head, doing like high knees for like an hour, and like they're just in your face, and then this is when all the drill sergeants from around the whole place, the whole base are there for this. So they're all in your face, yelling at you, screaming at you, and then the whole and so then after that's done, you go into your your area, and um uh then and throughout the whole day they just fuck you up whenever all day long, which is they just fuck you up. In what way? The exercises basically yeah, they just you know push-ups, whatever leg lifts.
SPEAKER_10What was the worst one that you dealt with? The worst the worst exercise.
SPEAKER_06The worst exercise. Ooh, I don't know. Um that duffel bag one seems horrible. It was it was bad, but like if you if you if if you like were smart enough and like the the whole point of the whole like goal in boot camp is not to be noticed. So like in that moment, if you're not when they're looking in your direction, if you don't look weak or just off in any way, they won't come after you. So I never got yelled at in that that time. So like I was able to like rest the duffel bag down while they're yelling at this chick over here, you know? So I was kind of fine. So I was just kind of that's kind of like what I would what I was trying to do like the whole time, you know? Yeah, uh, but the worst one had to have been I think it had to be leg lifts. Uh huh. Like where you just you just had to hold it your legs up as long as they want. And the the so this is what they do. So they they count, right? So they go one, two, three, one. One, two, three, two. So it's not like so. If you're doing a push-up, right? Yeah. When you go down once, that's not one. It's one, two, three, that's one. So basically, you're doing it doing that's like two push-ups is one, right? Basically, one, yeah. So you're doing twice the amount, basically. But this is what they would do to be assholes. We'd be at like number eight or ten. We'd be at twenty sometimes, and they'd be like, Looks like zero. Whenever they said looks like zero, that means we have to fucking restart. Oh my god from zero. Those motherfuckers do that every fucking time, and I fucking hated it. It was all psychological. All the time, the whole thing was psychological. Psychological. They don't do that anymore, they don't do that that shark attack anymore. But you were involved with that, though. Yeah, I was that was yeah. I think I think it was like a year after they got rid of it. So I I guess I just got lucky, I guess. Yeah, but uh but yeah, so that was the first day. Like, you know, we don't we didn't go to the trial hall, so we had to eat like the shitty food, like the MREs and stuff, yeah. Um, which I have some so we can try it. You want me to try one of your old MREs? I have an idea. I want to get because they sell the boxes full of them. And uh, you know, there was a few that I really liked out out there. Some of the food was really good. Uh even if but like nowadays it's ass, right? But because I was so used to it out there, that's was there any protein in it? Well, so like there were like pre-packaged meals. So, like, for example, my favorite was the white chicken chunks. So it was so each was different. Um, someone would have would have better like snacks, yeah. Like if like let's say like the fucking chili beans one or some shit. That was terrible. The main course was terrible, but the fucking snacks were amazing, you know? Yeah, but the white chicken chunks, it was like the white chicken chunks are in this like little fucking ziploc. It's not like a ziploc, but it's like weird. It's like this thing, this pouch, and then there would be it'll come with like a sauce, like a hot sauce, and then there'd be like another baggie filled with like gum or like a powder you can put to make like a nasty Gatorade off-brand Gatorade, or like a coffee. Um, and then there'd be like a few snacks in there too, like like apple, I don't know, apple slices or something.
SPEAKER_08Like jail food or something.
SPEAKER_10Oh, some of it was really bad.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, but uh I know what jail feels taste.
SPEAKER_10Like I had jail, I when I went to jail before I for my DUI, and they passed out like these, like it was like a bag, like a brown bag, and they just like throw it at you. Like, here you go. I'm like, what was in it? Balogue sandwich, like a like a shitty baloney sandwich. Like it just looked like they just like grab the bun and just like put the uh meat in there, and just that that's it. You know, it was like milk, it was like a like a the paper milk where you just like open the the pouch uh uh forward. It's like that little triangle, and you drink that, and the milk was like you know, I would rather have that than some of the things I had to eat.
SPEAKER_12Yeah, I would I would I also say you know what? I believe you.
SPEAKER_06There were some that were disgusting, yeah, absolutely disgusting. But uh, but yeah, so that's that's kind of like how that process went. And then we had to go like the first day. Oh, well, so the first I didn't shower for like the first week, let's say we didn't get to shower. And like when we arrived that first day, the shark attack, we went up to our our rooms, our living quarters, and I was sharing with like well, there's like 65 of us in there, and so what they made us do, they turn on the showers and they said, Okay, you guys get three seconds, go. And so, literally, you walked in there. I don't know what you can do in three seconds, but you walked in there and basically walked out. I just I basically didn't take off my clothes, I just walked in and walked out. I didn't even do anything because there's no point. For a shower, yeah. That was our that was our very first day or shower that we got. Oh that was the first time we got to shower, if you want to call it that.
SPEAKER_10That reminded me of the movie Holes. You guys remember holes? Yeah, I remember holes. There was a scene where like the 10-second shower where they they take a it's only like 10 seconds, or like 10 seconds or 10 um or like one minute, yeah. And they just like take a quick shower and all that. It was that's fucking crazy. Sorry, go ahead.
SPEAKER_06No, but yeah, that that's that was our first shower, and that's how it was for like the first week. Damn. Every day was like that. For how long? It was like a week. A week. I think it was like I think it was like a week. Oh yeah, and then they and then they allowed us to take showers. What were you going through that time? Like, what was your like what was your well? I was just like, why the fuck am I here? Like you were like, like, why the fuck did I do? Not knowing what to do in college isn't so bad. Questioning your whole reality. Because like so, when we took our ID pictures, our military ID pictures, so that's they they literally shave your head and then you go take your picture. And dude, they they fucking dude, like some people were bleeding and shit, because they just go and you still have like a patch of hair here, you know, because they don't like they just do it real quick, and you know, you're getting people's fucking other people's blood on because they had they don't clean it, they just go next, next, next, you know. Dude, I don't fucking know, man. But so in my picture, I'm sunburnt and bald and just like I just look like lost, you know, like like scared and lost. Like, what the fuck am I doing? Did you have hair the facial hair too? Uh no, you have to shave. Just shaved that lost. Yeah, luckily I didn't I didn't grow as much at that time, so like, because you're supposed to shave every single day. So I would just kind of like go and just like like dry shave real quick. I know you're not supposed to do that, but I would just I didn't know. I just fucking did it. Yeah, because you know, like you had to you had to do it in the morning, and in the mornings, so basically, you there was okay, so there's fire guard. The fire guard is every person, every bunk mate had an hour shift of while everyone was sleeping. So, like, let's say, but it wasn't every day. Say mine was on like Monday, so Monday from like 2 to 3 a.m. I was up. My buddy, one of us would be at the the desk. Uh, and you have to so when you first go on the hour, you have to call and let them know how many people are accounted for, and then when we got weapons, we had to let them know how many weapons were accounted for, uh, and if anyone's missing. And then after that, they just wait, and then hopefully, hoping the drill sergeants don't come in at that time, because then when they come in, they question you. And if you get a question wrong, they wake up everybody and they fuck us up, basically. And uh and then the other person is just cleaning the whole time. Um so there's that I forgot where I was going with that, to be honest. Uh fuckery.
SPEAKER_13What were we talking about about that?
SPEAKER_12That's what I'm thinking of.
SPEAKER_10But um, so so you did the you did the shift, and then after you but like after that, uh as that went on, like what else would happen?
SPEAKER_06Like well, uh so because you were just there. I mean you were talking about like what I was feeling, right? Yeah, where you're feeling, yes. So like a lot of it was like because we didn't get letters for like a while. You know what I mean? Um, and and and some people were getting them faster than others, I guess it maybe depending on location, uh, where their families were. So there's like not knowing what's going on at home, you know, you don't know what's going on in the world. Um, and so I was just kind of like I was just kind of scared, you know. Not I mean uh but at the same time though, I was kind of like this is kind of cool. Like I'm out here in South Carolina, I never would have come here on my own, you know. So I got to experience that life and and the weather out there, but um how's the weather out there? So I was out there in March, March, April, and May. It was fucking freezing in March. Freezing in March and April, and we were I I guess I've heard, I don't know if it's true or not, but out of all the companies that were there doing boot camp, we were the second hardest, or like the second harshest, I guess. So, like, for example, we had different kinds of clothing. So for PT, we would have, you know, we have a shirt, a short sleeve shirt, a long sleeve shirt, a jacket, a beanie, gloves, shorts, and then like a you know, track pants, you know?
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_06When it got to a certain degree in the weather, they wouldn't that's when they would change like how what we'd wear. So we either it would go from like shorts and a t-shirt to shorts and a long sleeve shirt, or they'd add in gloves or a beanie, whatever, right? So it'd be like pouring rain, and probably like 30 degrees, 20 degrees, I don't know what the fuck. But it would it'd be pouring rain and we'd be out there in shorts and a t-shirt, and then we'd see the other companies walking around in their whole getup with the beanies on, the gloves on, and we're like, what the fuck? You know, these motherfuckers. Bro, I was sick for I was there for two and a half months. I was sick for probably two and a half months. Oh shit. I was like coughing and yeah, dude, but like you'd hear like the some dude had the craziest fucking cough I've ever heard. I've ever heard. Like a devil cough? Oh, dude, it was bad. And like he sounded it sounded like he was gonna cough up like a lung, you know? Probably had pneumonia. I mean he probably did.
SPEAKER_10He probably did, but you could develop that too, just yeah, over time.
SPEAKER_06I don't care about you. You're just a well, but the thing is, like, you also have to like a minion, you have to keep the things that's going on with you like quiet because if you tell them and you go to the hospital and talk about it, for example, I hurt my hips. If I would have told them that and I would have gone to go get it looked at, they I would have missed all the important events because I would they would they they automatically put you on crutches for injuries without knowing anything. And so if you miss anything, you have to wait until another group comes in and then start all over again. So fuck that. I ain't I want to get out of here, you know? Yeah, right. It's kind of like hot. Right. So you yeah, you just gotta deal with it.
SPEAKER_10You just have to deal with that shit. Rain or shine, baby. Just have to fucking go out there and scare. I don't give a fuck. Yeah, yeah. Go do what you can, you know? Still have to work, gotta do what you can. Yep, yeah. Fuck. So that was like going through your head. You just like wanted to like you just wanted to get the fuck out.
SPEAKER_06I just wanted to get out. I that was the only thing, and then like every day. I remember I wrote like I kept like a calendar. Like the you can buy like you have to pay for like one, you have to pay for your haircuts, uh, which is crazy. But um, they would take you when you go get your haircut, you can also go to like the little store that they had and you can buy stuff. So I bought like a little notebook and it had like a little calendar in it. So I'd write every day like what we did if it was important. So it'd say like the gas chamber, and then the next day would be like, hell, hell, hell, hell, hell. Yeah. This thing. Hell hell, why the fuck am I here?
SPEAKER_12Hell hell, hell fuck this place. Hell, hell.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, yo, hell, I'm fucking I'm coughing. I have a bad hip.
SPEAKER_06One of the first literally the first thing the first major thing we did was the gas chamber.
unknownOh, shit.
SPEAKER_06Isn't that crazy? It was cool, but the gas chamber.
SPEAKER_02It's not coming out of your nose and everywhere.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. Oh, dude, it was bad. Was that the worst one that you dealt with?
SPEAKER_06The gas chamber? The gas chamber. It wasn't that bad. I mean, for some people it was worse. Because so what they do, you go in the so they those fuckers, they try to get you to they tell you to drink milk. And we don't know about know any better. They say drink milk, it'll help you. That's the worst thing you can do is drink milk because it'll make you throw up, I guess.
SPEAKER_02So So would they say that because they wanted us to throw up?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, they wanted us to suffer. They want you to suffer, basically. So, like for example, this one girl, she was so you go in there and you line up against the wall, and they they have the gas. We were the first group in with the gas. Uh, and but so you line up against the wall, and then they pick half of them, half half from one side, and they move you to the center in a straight line. You have to hold each other's backs. And so you're sitting there waiting, and meanwhile, the people on the wall, they tell you, okay, without breathing or opening your eyes, take off your mask and put it back on and clear it to let us so to show that you know how to do it without getting the gas in and infecting you, affecting you. So then, so you do that, and then you're doing exercises with the gas mask on and shit. And so this one girl, she when they told her to when they told us to take it off, she'd accidentally open her eyes. And so when she put the gas, she was so she started fucking freaking out. And so she put her gas mask back on and she fucking messed up and she puked in her gas mask. And she had to go through the whole thing still. They didn't take her out or anything, she had to suffer and scoop it out and then clear the gas mask, and then fucking still go through the whole process, still exercise, still go through the whole process. And when they have you in the center, that's when they make you take it off and like experience the gas. You already experienced it. But so you have to hold a person in front of you, and the door is locked in front, and so you hold, and then you have to take it off, put it in your pouch, and you have to they literally wait until they see every single person is either breathing or have the has their eyes open. And if one person doesn't, we wait until they do, and then they start the countdown to when we can get out of there, and people are fucking dude, people are freaking the fuck out. They're they're shoving each other, we're going like like this, dude. Oh my god, it was crazy! And then they open it up and people just run out like wild animals. It was crazy. I have a video of it of us of me like walking out, and people are like fucking spitting, the shit's hanging out, and oh it was gnarly.
SPEAKER_10So two you were only there for two and a half months.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, well, I was there for two and a half months and then I went to Maryland for more training. Oh, so I was out for like five months basically. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_10So you were returned home, and but you went back to Maryland.
SPEAKER_06No, no, no. So I went straight from South Carolina to Maryland. Oh, okay. Yeah. Well, how long what were you doing at Maryland then? Uh that's where you go. Well, that's where I went to go train for my job, basically for the military. Oh, okay. It's called AIT. So there it's it's supposed to be like a little more relaxed, like you get fed better. Like I had I had I had a bacon cheeseburger every single day. All every meal except for breakfast. So lunch and dinner was bacon cheeseburger, because I was eating shit before. Yeah, you know. Well, that's I was living, I was living the life. Yeah, that was that was nice. I was living the life. I was you know, yeah, I was bulking up and everything. But um uh so yeah, there was it was uh we still had drill sergeants, so it was still shitty. But we have school Monday through Friday from eight eight eight a.m. till five p.m. So we were gone most of the day in school, just learning whatever your job was.
SPEAKER_10So it was like less hectic. Oh, I think it was worse. Oh, this one was worse. It was worse. Really?
SPEAKER_06Because the the drill sergeants were fucking assholes, and there was no reason to be, and also our the army company that I was in, they run an investigation. Uh, because uh so every morning they have a bus to go to like the hospital to go get your shit checked out, yeah, if you need, and every morning there would be like 12 army guys or army guys and girls, and like one Marine. And then the next day it would be 10 army people and like a navy person. They're like, What the fuck are you guys doing in the army? You know why what the fuck's going on? You know, what are you guys transferring for? They were under investigation. I think the guy, the captain got fired, or or I don't know what the fuck happened to him. Fuck for just like because, dude, like out in Maryland was ass. Like that, it was just it's like Florida weather, like the humidity. Yeah, it was five in the morning, you're drenching drenching sweat, you know. Um and uh but so it would be like when it comes to like a certain temperature, let's say 90 degrees, I don't remember exactly. It would it's called a heat five, and then we can't do anything, we're not supposed to exercise or anything. They can't smoke us at all, make us do anything. But they still were. And like there'd be kids passing out and shit. And it was just another day, you know?
unknownThat's kind of suck though.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Hey, but I was eating good.
SPEAKER_10So like you were eating fucking bacon cheeseburger sounds. Hell yeah. Almonds. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Almonds almonds too? Uh-huh. Breakfast was fucking good. What was breakfast like? Uh well, breakfast in boot camp was the best. Best breakfast. I don't like breakfast anymore because it's not like that. Uh I just ate so much. But uh in AIT it was just kind of like they had like omelet station, so there was like a chef making omelets if you wanted whatever kind of omelet you wanted. Then there was like eggs and like just regular shit.
SPEAKER_10So what is AIT? Was that what is that does that stand for anything?
SPEAKER_06Uh I don't remember. Honestly, I don't remember. I think it's like fuck, I don't remember. Army something. I don't know.
SPEAKER_10I don't fucking know. AIT. Yeah. That's it. Yeah. Yeah. But like, so overall, like, how long were you in the military? I mean, sorry, in the in in the army.
SPEAKER_06Uh six years. Oh. Yeah. Six years? Yeah, six years. I got out in 2024.
unknownWhoa.
SPEAKER_06Technically. Technically, I'm technically I'm still in, but not. Were you were you in Maryland the rest of the time? I was there for two and a half months. And then you and then I came home.
SPEAKER_10And you came home. And then I I reported to Upland. Oh, you were at Upland the whole time. Yeah. How was that? Like, how was the Upland one?
SPEAKER_06Well, I was hurt, so I didn't have to do much. So it kind of sucked because I didn't get to really do much. So the hip, right? Yeah, both my hips. Um, so I didn't get to do much. So it was just kind of like I was just every time I went, I was every time I was there, I was just kind of sitting where I'd have to go count fucking the same weapons over and over again. Yeah. Did you do PT training or anything? I didn't have I not in not in uh upland. I didn't have to because I was hurt. So and then COVID happened and everything was on like zoom and then yeah.
SPEAKER_10Everything like shut yeah, everything shut down.
SPEAKER_06They would make they were they were making people like take pictures of themselves working out, but obviously all you had to do is just like go in a pose and take a picture, and then that counted, you know.
SPEAKER_10Were you were you working out a lot though? Were you work were you doing it?
SPEAKER_06Like were you not not after AIT. AIT I was in crutch, I was on crutches the whole time. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10And so but were you a where what did you try at least, or were you just like they just I couldn't because my hips just oh nothing at all?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I wasn't able to. Well, I I did like the first week I was there, and then I was able to go to the sit call and get on crutches, uh-huh, and then I wasn't allowed to do anything. Um, because I got people in trouble. Because there were people got in trouble because of me, and they got they had to do workouts, but I didn't have to because I was on crutches. Yeah. Because I was I so it was uh like a Saturday, and Saturday and Sunday was like our off day. Um, but we'd have to like report for like a um what do you call it? Um like basically meet up at like 8 a.m. and then we were free to do whatever, and then we had like we had like different times we had a meetup, and then everything else we just did whatever we wanted, right? Um, so we had to wait, we had a we had a meetup at like 8 a.m. to go to chow breakfast. And um I had to shit really bad and I was on crutches, so and like it was like like time was 8 a.m. So I was like, fuck, like I I gotta shit, you know? And so I I took a shit and I was like fuck it, yeah. I have to go, you know. Yeah, right. And then I crutched my way down. But as I was, as I was like washing my hands, I can hear through the window, one, two, three, one. I was like, oh fuck, they're in trouble, like they're getting fucked up right now. So then I start crutching out, and then as I crutch out, like another dude and another girl like come out, they come running out. They're like, Oh god, we're late. And I was like, Oh fuck, so let me go over there. And they're all like doing push-ups when we walked over, when we got over there, and uh the drill sergeant comes over, is like, why the fuck were you guys late? She's like, They're getting they're doing workouts because of you, fucks. And then they're like, stand to the side and watch them.
SPEAKER_12I was like, Okay, I mean, I'm unconscious now. Ooh, you know, I gotta watch you guys do push-ups, yeah.
SPEAKER_06And then she cut, she's asking all three of us like what why we were late, you know? Yeah, so they're like, Oh, I slept in, my alarm didn't go off, oh, this, this, or blah, blah, blah. And like she comes to me, she's like, So why were you late? And I was like, I had to take a shit, Joel Sargent. And she's like, Oh, he had to take a shit. And I was like, and then someone's like, That's valid. That's valid. That's that's valid, dude.
SPEAKER_12Hey, that's valid. But that's awesome. It was funny.
SPEAKER_10It's funny though. They the the but the the one in upland, oh, where was that located at? Because I'm I'm kind of familiar with upland. I used to live.
SPEAKER_06I remember all I remember is you would go off, you get off on a Euclid. Really? You get off on I think it was Euclid, and then you would turn, you'd you'd you'd make a left at the light. It's it's different now because there's a there was construction, yeah. So I don't know what it's like now. But you go, you go up, get off the freeway, take a left, and then it was like the next street was a right, and I would just go, you just go down that street all the way. I think it was like 8th street, 7th street or something like that. Really? Yeah, and just go all the way down.
unknownWhoa.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, oh my god. So it's a big old building, yeah. And then behind it was like uh the the mechanics area.
SPEAKER_09I think that's where uh I must have passed by there before because like a park next to it, too.
SPEAKER_10Right, yeah. I'm curious, like I wonder where that's at.
SPEAKER_06I'm always yeah, all I remember is it's on 7th Street. It's on 7th Street, 7th Street, yeah. And like down the street was like a McDonald's. There was like a shopping center with McDonald's. Um there was uh Farmer Boys like down to the left somewhere with like a and then a Chick-fil-A somewhere else. Like I don't that's all I remember.
SPEAKER_09So what what got you to leave?
SPEAKER_06Uh my contract ended. Well, I was trying to they were trying to get me to get medically discharged because I couldn't do anything. Yeah. Um and every time I was there was just no point in me being there. And a lot of times I would just stay home. Uh but uh no one really could give me a straight answer on how to get medically discharged. So I just kind of wrote it out and it ended.
SPEAKER_10What what what did you get out of that? Like just doing for six years, because uh I mean it's so long. I mean, you got through all this like like hell so there was a lot of empty promises.
SPEAKER_06Uh when I first because my my job was multimedia illustrator, yeah. And my not the recruiter that I had that I went through, but like the guy that worked at their office, he was the same job. Because when I went in, that was it was the only it was my options that day, because like they the jobs changed every day, um and then also based on how you scored, and I scored really high, but the day I went, um, and it was in Long Beach side and lived there, so I wasn't I couldn't just go every day and see what's next. Um, so my options were multimedia illustrator or tanker, or was it gonna be in a tank? And I don't want to be in a tank, so I chose multimedia illustrator, and the guy, one of the guys that drove me to Upland and to introduce me before I went to boot camp, he was like that was his job outside of the military as well. And he was like, he had a big portfolio who's gonna be interviewed by Pixar to work in their studios for animation or whatever. And he's telling me all these things, like, oh, like, yeah, like you know, when you get out, when you get out of AIT, like we're gonna, I'm gonna help you, you know. We're gonna with the things you learn, you're gonna be able to get a job right away out of there, you know. I'm like, fuck yeah, this is sick, you know. I need you know, I'll have a career set up, you know? Yeah, fucking AIT, dude. We learned the literal basics of everything of AIT. Of like my job. Of your job, yeah. I learned the basics, so I learned nothing. It were everything was like sped up in a way. So it was just kind of like no really promises that yeah, I took that job for no reason, you know. Shit.
SPEAKER_10Uh but did you get something out of that? Like, as like did you find out something as yourself, like when you got out of that? Like, did as a person, did you learn how to like I went through more adversity, so like it just kind of you can you can you can definitely go through anything at that point, right?
SPEAKER_06Yes, yeah, you can. Uh, you know, you also learn that having to deal with different kinds of personalities and people, you meet different people, you have to live with all these 60 people and you have to live with them, and then you get in trouble because of one person didn't tie their boot, you know what I mean, and we're getting fucked up for it. So you learn how to like deal with that shit. God and and like how to how to fucking how you have to basically watch everyone else and like make sure they're on their own.
SPEAKER_10Just because someone couldn't do a fucking shoestring. Right. Yeah, fucking do a freaking it what was that, a bunny rabbit? Yeah, do fucking backflips or something. Yeah, backflips. Now it's like, God damn it, dude.
SPEAKER_11I can't fucking tie my own tie.
SPEAKER_10Cause it's different too, because they they teach you di don't you don't they teach you differently how to tie your shoes? That's what he did for um when they did it at my when my dad because my dad was in the military, he was in the um in the the Marines, um, and he taught me like when he had boots, yeah. He taught me how to like how they fold and how they uh they tie their own shoes, way different from like like as a casual uh tie their shoes.
SPEAKER_09I was like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_06Well, I I think some people would they would tie theirs around their boot, but that I think the main thing was as if as long as the laces aren't showing, so all you gotta do is just tuck it in. Tuck it into your boot. Yeah, because they're so long. So that's all I had to do. But um, yeah, you I mean just learn you just learn a bunch, like living on your own, you know, dealing with shit on your own.
SPEAKER_10Living so like doing like a lot of it was just like self-work, it's just like the adult things, you know, adult things, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, things that I wouldn't have done without that. Yeah, just like self-taught self-taught, yeah.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, did that a lot of like some of the stuff some of the uh stuff that like some of the stuff that you learned, did that kind of apply that to the world?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, of course. Yeah, of course. I mean, I mean I I mean you're you're definitely more aware too. You you know, I'm every time I go somewhere, I'm always watching everything around me, you know what I mean? Yeah, so I see things that much. I mean, I see that from you.
SPEAKER_10I saw that from you when you were walking down here where I was being. I was like, I was looking around, I was like, what the fuck is up with this dude? He's looking around, just like I'm like, what the fuck's going on?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, you just gotta be aware, man. You just never know.
SPEAKER_10Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And uh he's very patient too, by the way. I see that.
SPEAKER_10I see that like from you, like you're very like you're very reserved, and you're like very you when you try to like talk to somebody like you're talking to me, like I'm a fucking psycho. Like I'm a fucking crazy ass person, but like me deal with my personality. Yeah, I mean John Darrow's dealt with that before. But like with me, like when all my other friends they just think like, dude, he's just a fucking wacko. He's like funny, funny fucking wacko, stupid ass. Like, then you you you're just like, Yeah, like keep talking, I just want to understand.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, well, I I like listening to people, right? Yeah, um, I mean, out there you have to listen. Yeah, and then there's a whole like set of values that we live by, you know what I mean? Uh that we had to repeat every single fucking day, all day long. Um, so it's just there's just all those things that we're taught out there, like you know what I mean. Cleaness is has to be like your thing, like clean cleanliness, yeah. Cleanliness in some ways, in some ways, in some ways. I mean, I definitely don't make my bed like I did out how to do out there. Fuck that. Fuck that. I ain't doing that shit. Sometimes my my fucking buck big would make it for me.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, yeah. Was there ever a private pile over there? You guys know a private pile? You guys know private pile? You guys know private pile? Have you seen uh I have a remind me full metal metal jacket? Full metal jacket, Vincent uh Vincent Is it like the derpiter kind of person? Yeah, the derper guy not for the uh Vincent's last name, last name, but he was he was kingpin in the Derek Daredevil show. Um in the show.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. He was young in that movie, Stanley uh Kubrick movie Full Metal Jacket.
SPEAKER_06So basically you're saying like was there anyone that was like dumb? No, basically crazy, crazy. Dumb and dumb, dumb and crazy like him. We had a bunch of those. Well, we had a dude a bunch of private piles. We had a we had a bunch of them. We had yeah, there was there was a few people that got kicked out. Well, one girl because she was crazy. Um she would watch the females as they slept. Uh so she's scary, dude. She would stand over them and just stare at them. Like Nikki from obsession? Yeah, literally. Literally. And then when they would wake up, she would yell at them like military terms. Like, like one girl woke up and she saw her, it was like three in the morning. She saw her just standing over her bed, just staring at her. And then she's like, I forgot her name. When she said her name, she's like, What the fuck are you doing? And she's like, Atties, and she just fucking yelled. And but and then, like, she would take, she would get up in the middle of the night when you're sleeping, and the people on fire, the person that's at the desk during fire guard, when you have to go pee in the middle of the night, you have to go tell them that you're going pee, and they write your name down and what time you're going pee. So that when the drill sergeant comes in and you're not in your bed, they know, okay, this person's going in the room in the restroom, so that's why they're not in their bed. So they're not missing, right?
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So this chick she would get up in the middle of the night, not go tell anyone, and the person at the fire guard would see them, see her get up or see someone go in the bathroom and like, motherfucker, like you, I'm gonna get in trouble, you know? Yeah, and then she'd go look for her and she would just disappear in the darkness in the fucking room. Oh they couldn't find her. She tried escape, she tried escaping twice. The first two nights she tried, she literally got up and started running. But then we had the dumb people. Yeah, there was a dude, he was he was a furry. He openly furry. Wait, what?
SPEAKER_13Do you know what a furry?
SPEAKER_06You know what I'm saying? Have I not told you this boy?
SPEAKER_13I know a furry, but have I not told you this before?
SPEAKER_06But how did you know he was a furry because he made it made it the point to let everyone know that he was a furry. Uh his name was Bozick, and we called him Ballsack.
SPEAKER_02The theme of this podcast is Balsac. Balsack.
SPEAKER_06So we called him Balsack, and he was the weirdest fucking guy I'd have ever met. Like we'd be taking showers, and so his name was Bozick, right? So some the the guy that was in charge of like us in the the bay, he would go down to the drill sergeants, and like the drill sergeants would let him know, oh, like we need this person, or this is the tire for tomorrow, whatever. So they needed this person named Williams. So the guy ran up, was running through the bay. Hey, Williams, Williams, where's Williams? I think he's in the rush. I think he's taking a shower. So he ran in there, William. Hey Williams. Who opens the fucking curtain? Bozick. He opens the curtain, fucking balls at butt ass naked, but his hands on his hips and is like, you rang.
SPEAKER_13And I was like, I was like, your name.
SPEAKER_06I was like, I was like, I was like, dude, your name is Bozick, not fucking Williams. You're in the beginning of the alphabet, you fucking asshole. And uh, but but he I think he was secretly gay. Um and uh but yeah, he would he would stare at he would stare at the guys as they were. I would change in the behind the curtain. Some people were ballsy and they would change outside in the fucking restroom. It was a big ass restroom, so like it was like a you walk in, there's two doors. One from when if you walk in the side, it's where like the toilets are, and then if you walk in from the front, it's where the sinks are, and to the right is all the showers, and it goes around to the to back to the toilets. Yeah, so people would change right there where the sinks were. Like fucking you'd walk. I saw the fucking weirdest looking people ever.
SPEAKER_02Uh I think you're gonna say the weirdest looking pee-peees ever. I mean that too. That fucking too, Dan.
SPEAKER_06Not because I wanted to see it, but fucking died they were there. They're all hung up and hung up upside down. Yeah, well, yeah, it was gross, bro. It was gross. Like you know when have you ever seen the hangover? Yeah, you know hangover tour when Mr. Chow his little fucking pat his little po his fucking uh hair and the little pee-pee. One guy was exactly like that. Exactly like that, bro. And it was like like he had like he was uh Vietnamese. It was that porn star bush. He had the bush, and the little thing poking at the robot, dude. You wanna fuck with me? Yeah, but this Bose guy would watch everyone as they changed. He would like stand there and just like stare at you as you changed. So this dude was a fucking weirdo. Old fucking weirdo. I I fucked him up though. So okay, so at night when when after like the first week, we had the so we we got into let's say we got in at six. Or no, sorry, 2100 is nine. So at eight o'clock from set from eight to nine, basically, we had was our free time, so we can take a shower, write letters, whatever we need to do. Right. So and then lights out were as was at nine o'clock, 2100. And um so when the lights would go out, me and my buddies would go and build a fort with the blankets because we knew the drill serents came in around like midnight to one to two. Yeah. So they weren't gonna come in anytime soon. So we wanted we weren't we didn't want to go to bed, so we wanted to hang out and just bullshit. So we would build a fort, so we'd get like the blankets and just move it across to the other bunk and just sit underneath and talk. So Bozick, so my best friend was on the bottom, Bozick was above him. Bozick would make his bed the night before so he didn't have to do in the morning. You're not supposed to do that. I got I got woken up because my my right leg was outside of the blanket, and I got we all got fucked up because of it. Weird as shit ever, and it was hot as fuck in there. But anyways, so this dude would he would he would make his bed and we'd have two wool blankets, so he'd just make the first one and then just lay underneath the the second one, and then in the morning he would just make that one real quick so he wouldn't have to do anything because he was lazy. So he would lay on top and and and he was an he was a little bitch, so he would fucking chop down our fort and say, Hey, I'm trying to fucking sleep. And sometimes it would happen before lights out, and we're not supposed to be sleeping before lights out. So I'd be like, hey bro, like it's fucking 8 50, like we're you're not supposed to be sleeping yet, you know. Yeah, we got 10 minutes. And he's like, Hey, fuck you guys, like I want to sleep. So he would tear down our fort and be like, fuck you, Bozic. So I learned that that's when I learned that he liked to make his bed before the night before. So I what I would do, because I hated the fucking guy, I would grab his blankets and untuck them as he was sleeping, and I would just fucking yank him and wake him up, and I would just yank him out and untuck everything, and he would piss him off. They would piss him off, and he would also fall asleep and his leg would hang off the bed. So when the lights went out, I would sneak across all the way around, and I would just run, grab his foot, and smack the fuck out of it, and just take off running back to my bunk.
SPEAKER_07Oh shit. And then uh little menace.
SPEAKER_06And then so, but there was this one time where um he uh well, okay, so I was hurt. This is when I first got hurt, and there was something that happened with where um a male wrote in the male latrines, because we were out we were in the wilderness for a few days, and they wrote in the will in the latrine something nasty about one of the girls, and so uh they couldn't figure out who the guy was, so they were fucking us all up, making us do this this this bomb drill. The bomb drill is we have all our weapons and our gear, and you're walking, and then they do like a and when you hear that you have to yell incoming and you have to just drop. And then they they they say like a hundred meters, whatever, and then we have to run in the direction they said. So they've made us do that for like an hour, just dropping, running back and forth, dropping, because it because no one would fess up who did it. So tensions started getting high, so people started like pushing each other, trying to figure out because people were blaming each other, like, oh, you fucking did it. So they would push them. So they're like oh, you guys want to fight, get in the sandpit. So we went to the sandpit and we did this thing called um I forgot what it's called, but you had to like put your head in the sand and basically like crawl, army crawl all the way across. It was like football length. Yeah. So people were getting even more mad, so they made us fight, fight. So they're like, all right, pick an opponent and get in a circle, pick someone, and then you guys are gonna fight. Oh, we were just fighting. So I first person I picked was my best friend Block. And I was like, Block, you know, I'm hurt. He's like, Yeah, just pin me, man. I don't care. And so he went down, boom. So then I'm like, cool. So the next person was Bozick, and I already hate this funny. I was like, Bozick, look, dude. I was like, dude, I'm fucking hurt. If you want to pin me, pin me, I don't care. Just relax, you know. I don't want to hurt myself even more for no reason. And so then uh they say go. Bozick goes straight for my hips. So I was like, fuck you, bro. So I grabbed him, picked him up, slammed him down, and fucking choked him out. And I was like, Boy, you motherfucker, I told you not to fucking do it. And then he tapped out, and then like five people later, I had him again. And then I was like, Bozick, I'm not gonna tell you again. Yeah, I don't want to get hurt. He's like, Oh, I got you, Andy. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Boom, go straight from my hips again. So I fucking clocked this dude, and then I I got him in the in a chokehold, and I tapped him on, I was fucking punching him in the gut. Oh god. But so then, so then uh so that happened, and then we were doing the Ford again, and uh he got mad, so I I grabbed his fucking blanket and I I fucking just yanked it, and I was sitting on my my best friend's bunk right below him. So he spat on my sh my boot and I was like, what the fuck? Like he just went, fuck you, Andy and spat right on my my my boot. And and then he so I was like, fuck you. And I grabbed the shit and I fucking tossed it across the room. And so he jumped down and jumped on me on the bunk and started like choking me with his hands. Luckily for him, we were graduating the next week, so I couldn't like hurt him. So I just grabbed him and threw him into the fucking next bunk. As I'm laying on the bunk and I couldn't hurt him, but uh yeah, man, we had that fucking guy. Uh and we made fun of him every fucking night.
SPEAKER_08Bosick, dude.
SPEAKER_10Ball sack, dude. Ball sack, man. Wherever you're at, bacck. Ball sack. Yeah, wherever you're at, man, dude. I hope I hope we I hope you're living out a great fucking ball sack.
SPEAKER_06Well, apparently he was, because he went to AIT, and like that's where apparently all the fur the furries were. His AIT in Virginia.
unknownAh!
SPEAKER_06So he was like the most popular person. He was the most hated where we were. We fucking zip tied him to his bed. We found a CS? We found a locker that was just empty, or like not empty, but not being used. So they went through it and they found a bunch of zip ties. So we he was on uh on Saturdays and Sundays were our off days, but you couldn't sleep on our on your bed. You had to sleep on the ground or go to church. Um and so he was sleeping on his bed, and then if they saw that we would have it would have fucked our weekend up and our week. So uh so they had the zip ties and he was knocked out on his bed and his arm was like on the fucking metal. And so they we got him and we held his arm and just tied it to the fucking thing, and then tied the other arm and his legs, and then we got his his uh his camel back and zip tied it to the fucking his the bunk. And so he got up and he was like, What the fuck's going on? Where'd you guys get zip ties from? And just smack him right on the balls, they're just like pop, pop, bro.
SPEAKER_02Let me throw my fursuit first. Come on, man.
SPEAKER_06Well, he just when the person dressed up. He didn't like dressing, but he liked when they wore the animal.
SPEAKER_10Man, all this shit, like you just like the the woman just walking in, like staring at the girl, and then the the that guy staring at the guys. All that shit just reminds me of haunt, too. It's literally haunt. It's just literally haunting haunt. You're living with haunt people, yeah. And then there's and then there's people, there's this, there's associates or even haunt people that just walk around in your in your group and they will just stare at you.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. I'm like, yo, yeah, hey man.
SPEAKER_10I'm like, can you uh I I totally like I'm I'm like totally shield. I just look at the other way and I just like stare down my phone or look somewhere else. I'm like, God, this is gonna be fucking bad. I'm like, this fucking guy is just like on the spectrum or something and just wants to talk to you and tells you, where you get those fucking those slider things at? And then uh, or just like those one of those like other their young there, one I remember one younger girl would come in, she would just say, like, oh hey, would you you you're the one that's the clown, right? I'm like, Yeah, yeah, I'm the clown. She's like, Oh yeah, I saw you once, but I didn't know what to say. And I was like, Oh, the simple hello, right? The simple fucking hello, and then she kept on like, and then she's like, Yeah, and then she like kept on just like staring at you like this the whole time. I'm like, I'm like, Can you just get the fuck out?
SPEAKER_02Just like I'm like, they'll just stand there sometimes. Yes, yes, yes, they'll just stand. Yes.
SPEAKER_10And I I don't know what that is. I don't know if that's like a a spectrum behavior, an autism behavior, something or something, yes, but it's like in this something's off, something's way off.
SPEAKER_06We know you know it was okay. This is I don't know why this reminded me, but so in in boot camp, we had like the worst smelling farts I've ever smelled. I bet because you all the same. Bro, so we're just ripping ass all night long, all day long. But so there, so when we would be in our you have to so when we'd have class during the week in boot camp. So you would you would stand on your school, your number square in in your group, and then like one by one you would file out and run around the building to the classroom and file in, right? So as I was running, there was a girl behind me, and I was just fucking letting them go, dude, because like your stomach hurts, you know, it's just the shit you're eating, you don't know. So you're just fucking ripping ass all day. So as I would run, like the farts would just come out, you know. Dude, so so like I was so trumpet. I ran and I ran around the corner, and then this big one just went, just came out, and the girl behind me went, and she's like, Andy, did you fucking fart? And I was like, no. I was like, no, why?
SPEAKER_13And she's like, I just took one to the throat. I just ate that shit, man. I just took a fart to the throat right now. I was like, oh, it wasn't me.
SPEAKER_10So that reminds you of one time I so last this was last year, I would um I was on streets. I don't know if I was on midway or like where the games were at. So I wasn't yeah, I was in games, and me and Paul were like like scaring together. Paul Vertigo was like my running partner, and we ran, and I was doing like pretend farts, but and I was doing like behind people, just doing like like just doing that stupid shit. And um then I one time I was like, oh my god, I had to rip one really bad. And there was like one guest that was just I can see like they were just being stupid, yeah. And I passed and I and then they came up at me and that said something like really dumb. I don't know what they said, but all of a sudden I lift my leg and I sprayed like a loud fart, and they're like, Hey, like, hey man, you can't fucking do that. I was like, Yes, I can. I'm like fucking I just left it. And then Paul was looking at me, he's like, dude, did you just fart in them? I was like, Yeah, like fucking fucking sick. I did it all the fucking time.
SPEAKER_06He's gonna hear it. It's the biggest crappie as all those motherfuckers.
SPEAKER_10Oh, yeah, me too. Every time I'll fucking rip a big one, I remember that someone was like, Did you have farther or something? I was like, I don't know.
SPEAKER_06Nah, not me.
SPEAKER_02I had a spot in CS where I would rip it right over there by the old truck.
SPEAKER_10You know the the one you had a specific spot, I would just go in the whole fucking zone. The one in uh the one on when I was in Ghost Town, the one in uh uh Kmart alley. I would go in that corner. I'm like, because I ran with Vi one time. I ran with Vi, the one on the the picture on the bottom.
SPEAKER_08I ran with him and I was like, dude, I gotta I gotta like can you hang on?
SPEAKER_10He's like, Yeah, I had one in the corner here, ripped this big fart. He's like, dude, like, bro, I was like, I gotta fucking rip this so bad. It was like it's holding on you, it's just like you just gotta let it go, dude. He's like, let it go, let go of the guys. Because after that, you get all the chills, you're like, oh god.
SPEAKER_06There was one time we were doing mail call in boot camp, and uh and so so we were all in a big old circle. People were sitting down, you know, as the Joe Sarnes reading the names, and then you had to come forward, or he would just fucking throw it. Yeah, yeah, go get it. And so he so you know they're going through like the whole company, so every there was a lot of people there. So I was out a little outside of the circle, and I was just you know, fucking ripping them, yeah. And so I farted, and this this black chick came over, and she was like, anyway, anyway, it's daily. She came over and she's like, God damn, who the fuck is farting? And so like there was like a group of us, so I like so so I moved, right? So I moved to like the middle and I moved, and she and I was just fucking ripping them over there, so she moved that way because it smelled where I was just at. So she moved to where I moved again, and she walked away. She's like, Oh hell no, it's fucking following me. Bro, this this poor lady, dude. Everywhere I moved like six times, and every single time she followed me and my buddies wherever we moved, and every single time she was like, Man, who the fuck's farting? I'm gonna beat your ass.
SPEAKER_12I'm gonna fuck the button.
SPEAKER_13And the drill sign's like, shut the fuck up.
SPEAKER_12Oh my god, the robot.
SPEAKER_10I'll tell one good story. The the the Joey the going back to Joey Diaz. That did you hear the story when he was in like when he was like in high school or in elementary, he went on the school bus and then the fart. Oh, he's changing places. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_12So you ever heard this story, John?
SPEAKER_10Oh, so this so um he was telling the story on on Rogan like a long time ago, and he was um and it was with Tom Segura and and him, and they were like blasted, they were like high and drunk. And then he was Joey Joey, it goes like it's like I remember having uh in high school when I went up to the bus and I had to rip a big old fart.
SPEAKER_08And then like all of a sudden I could hold anymore, and I fucking started ripping the shit, just blasting, and all the fucking kids uh saw it and just start smelling, and they all ran to the pack of all the windows they start tapping on the window. Cheers started crying, and then I started farting again, and the bus driver was like, Oh my god, he's changing flavors!
SPEAKER_13And the lady, the lady just yelled at me, he's changing flavors, he's changing flavors.
SPEAKER_08The girls are crying like they're like, Oh god, get out!
SPEAKER_06Could you imagine how bad I thought the ones in boot camp I have were bad, but those must that must have been worse.
SPEAKER_10Oh god, it's so bad. It's crazy, dude. So, like, how did you guys meet? I don't I'm curious how this how this happened. I know we we're we're like, are you guys good on time? I'm good. You good? You good? Okay, cool. I just don't want I I know we're we're like a two-parter. We're uh per maybe a two-parter, but I'll probably release the whole thing. Yeah, it's all good. But like, how did you guys meet? Because I know you got into going in 24. 21. 21. Um, did so how did you meet John Dario?
SPEAKER_06Uh his first year of going 2022. So it was my second year, and um it was just this big old dude that was the bouncer with little Jessica. And I like so the first year of going, like, I everyone was kind of lost. They didn't really know what the characters were, right? Obviously, because it's brand new. Yeah, and so people didn't, and and I would they give us like the script of everything, right? Like these characters go with these characters, these characters hate these characters, whatever. And so, like, I read that, and I was like, okay, we're supposed to interact with each other, so I'm supposed to hate the Grease monkeys, I'm supposed to hate the new stand worker, like all these things. Like, I'm a little kid that's a little shithead, and I play pranks on everyone, right?
SPEAKER_10Yeah, um, side note, so people so just tell people what what what it what was your character? I mean, you still play this characteristic, yeah. Well, what what was the characteristic?
SPEAKER_06I'm a uh 1920s newsboy. Newsboy, okay. Uh so I sell the news. Um and even though I never carry around a newspaper. But uh, anyways, so so like the first year I always want I I started like interacting with people, like because I noticed like we're supposed to be doing this, like why aren't you and I would go at the people and some people were kind of like not sure what I was doing, but I was like trying to egg people on, right? Like I egged the the the sister at the time, and she would stab me with the fucking crucifix, like she started stabbing me with a crucifix. Like so, like, and I started getting beat up by the mobster and all this. So I started like interacting with all these people. Well, then his year, all those people that I interacted with left. They were all gone. So I was like, okay, I need people to have fun with. So then I saw this dude, and I was like, okay, well, all my friends are gone. Let me go fuck around with this guy. He looks like the the mobsters like aren't really there, so I'll have him beat me up, you know? So I started just going around up to him and Jessica, which was his the other mobster, and uh I would just fuck with them to the point where I would kind of annoy them to get them to fucking chase after me and like run after me, and then it just became like a big ol bigger thing, yeah, and then evolved into until like a friendship, yeah.
SPEAKER_10Till to this day. Do you do you remember what you said, like the first words he said to you? No. Ball sack.
SPEAKER_02Ball sack, ball sack, no, furry, furry, um, yeah, no, dude. I don't remember our first interaction. I remember him interact interacting with my friend my friend, my partner, Jessica. She was a female mobster. Yeah. And she was she would go off like on these little side quests. Like she would leave me, and then I'd try to, you know, interact with guests. But she would I would see her stab him with her knife in front of the blind tiger, and like he would fall to the floor, and then like his foot would start twitching. And and I thought it was the funniest shit ever, dude. I was like, oh my gosh. But that that kind of gave me the confidence to like play with him too, because then she was doing it, and then and then like we slowly, I don't even I don't we just slowly started it happened, it was like a blur, dude, honestly, for me. I mean I mean it also helped that we sat right next to each other, like yeah, we've always sat in the same spot, right? Yeah, we were yeah, we just naturally just gravitated towards each other, and yeah, and then I I was you know, once I figured out you could beat them up, uh everything was easy after that, you know.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, just like you can get beat up, cool. Yeah, just fucking just suck them. Yeah, I was just looking for someone to beat me up. Yeah, I was just like, I need someone to beat me up. I was I was in the army for six years, please.
SPEAKER_13Dude, I need a big boy to get you up.
SPEAKER_10I need a big boy to beat me up. Yeah, yeah. Then it really started like with you guys with you started becoming the officer, and then you still playing the newsy. Just like that, that still be like that was like a that's like a tight, you know. There's like there's so well-known like tag teams. There's well-known tag teams in different zones, yeah. You know, like you got the obviously the pig twins, so it's like a whole different thing. And then there's like um, I would say like the best one for me was um Echo and uh Rufio. Um I don't know if you if you're familiar with Echo. No, no, no. Echo was with uh she was had the prosthetic, she wore like the blue dress. Um, she had the rattle um in Ghost Town. Uh she was with Rufio, you know Rufio? I know Rufio. Yeah, Rufio was the the sheriff, and he will like he had like I think he had an animalistic uh face for a while. But he but they were always run together, and they were just like dynam the dynamic of them, which is like great. I always wanted them to win like tag team at one point. I was just like the vote for them. They never can win tag team, but they were like those kind of people like you just kind of recognize. But I saw you guys and I saw the rec like the the the chemistry you two you guys do, it's just like oh that that like makes a lot of sense for like uh a zone like that. Yeah, because like I'm not really too fam at knowledge with like going 20. I know enough to like know like what the characters are and all that, what like what you do and all that. Um like the and then the tag team we you guys do, it's just like it's really funny how you guys play everything out, like especially with you, you're just like you're like the more dorky doofus guy. Yeah, and then um with the doll, how was the doll? How did you fucking do with that toy? You carry the little doll? The little doll? Is it the is it a doll?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, okay, yeah. What's his name? You do you do the you do? How how did that happen? Well, so my so before well, like the same year as Dario, uh my buddy Ryan, who was also a new, he was a slider, and then my buddy Braden, like they were the we were the newsy, yeah, the the trio. And uh I think it was probably the I after the year he was in CS, um Ryan suggested you should have a doll. And then one of our friends like he he he I don't know if he said it suggested it to her to the to the friend, but um I don't know how that went about, or like he said it, mentioned it on the street or something, and she heard it or whatever, he's whatever happened, but she went and made it. She made the doll of me and gave it to me. So I fucking ran with it, you know. Whoa. So it became my voodoo doll.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you know, yeah, that's so we use the we use the voodoo. Like I'll grab him and then I'll start making the making him do stuff. Oh, with the voodoo. Yeah, so if his arm goes up, I'll move the doll's arm up and then he'll move his arm up. Uh-huh. So we'll do we'll put on a little show sometimes for the guest. Yeah. And then like, you know, he'll start like I'll start making him jump and dance, and then he'll start jumping and dancing. Yeah. And the last and then the guests are just loving it, you know.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. And you guys gotta have like moments, like great moments with each other doing all that as like a tag team. Oh, yeah. You guys were always like you guys were always together, right?
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Well, mainly 2024. I think last year it was kind of like a weird year where we had to like scare more.
SPEAKER_10So yeah, I I wanna ask, because like I've I felt I I I don't know what was going on because I'm I'm not in your zone, and I don't know, and you had a different cast lead. Yeah. What's how what was going on? What like what felt so different from then compared to like the years you guys were in?
SPEAKER_06The years before I had my my running partners was my newsy boys, and then they start they one by one they they stopped yeah working. So I was kind of on my own. I had him, but he started he they moved his start time to early opening, and I closed. So by the time I got there, he was already on lunch, you know what I mean? So I only had a few hours with him. Um, schedules were very off, and um to the point where I would just take my break like an hour early just so I can hang out with him, you know. Um but yeah, so it was just it was just weird. Like I didn't have and every a lot most of the people were new last year. Yeah, I saw that too. A lot of the people were new, so they were trying to figure themselves out and they kind of clicked together all because they were all new, they're new together, so they're obviously naturally they're gonna fit more together, and and they kind of just had the same personalities, it seemed like. Um, so like they kind of like stayed there, you know, and then like I was just kind of like on my own in a way, which was different. Yeah, um, but so there wasn't any more bits, is the main difference. Like before, like I would have him arrest me all the time, he would arrest me all the time. Yeah, you know, he'd do the shakedowns, and I would, you know, get low. I'd be like, Oh, you want me to get lower, you know? The pad downs, yeah. We do like the the lineup to see, you know. I I used before we got we didn't get approved, but we had signs with my face posted on them, like saying that I was missing, but I would hold them, I'd be like, Have you seen my have you seen and I found like a little like pink clip, so I put it on my hat and I was like, Have you seen my brother? And like as a as the sister, you know? So like there was none of that, none of the goofiness. It was just all gone. And then they wanted more scaring. And then understanding we also had a new cast lead, so Jacob was gone. So uh, you know, just trying to like navigate all that, but as well as well, I was only scaring the whole season. I didn't do anything silly.
SPEAKER_10Was that challenging at all?
SPEAKER_06Not at all.
SPEAKER_10Because I feel like it's so understandable for a zone like that, because a lot that zone particularly it has a lot of like dialogue, bits, and acts. Like a lot of that's like very understandable for a zone to because that's why that's how it fits so well, and so it becomes as such a great zone. Um, you know, compared to other ones, like for us, like for for like us clowns or you me being in ghost town, like it was like bits were very minimal, right? And you have to keep it to a minimal point, right? Um, I wasn't much like a bit person. I would I mean if I did do something like a bit, I would only keep it to a minimum. Because I just that's how I was just taught.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_10And I was just kept myself just keep on going and scare. Right. But like the challenge, but the when once it comes to like the scaring part, it just it must have been it's not it's not challenging at all because generally the the main the main goal, like the scare is to scare. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Like the part, but with like the dialogue added and and I mean like even even before that, like even when we were just when we were doing a lot of bits, and sometimes they were like a little overboard, I was still scaring majority of the night. Yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? Like the the bits mainly happen the last hour.
SPEAKER_10But it but part of that element did it did that take away a big part of like Goring in some ways, do you know do you honor me? I felt like it did because that's a big part of Goring's identity.
SPEAKER_06And also like there wasn't a lot of because with the bits you can kind of like identify yourself as your character, right? That's you can like show your character without the bits, you you're just scaring. Yes, you just have your lines that you're there's no storytelling, yes, and that's what Goring was supposed to be.
SPEAKER_10Was that was that by a cast leads like strategy or was that by a manager's strategy?
SPEAKER_06I think that was just in what you're talking about last year, yeah. I think that was just knots in general.
SPEAKER_02I was like knots in general. I think the the main the message was to us like we want you guys to scare more, yeah. So we just focused on just scaring, yeah.
SPEAKER_10And that was the same for us too. I mean, they they that we did have a handful of people doing bits, and we had I mean there most of the time we were just like scaring, so we would do a lot of um, but we were like, I guess our our like the theme of it just obviously is so different. We're like clowns, so like we had more high energy, like just abundance amount of it, and like we can still do that while we're doing bits. Yeah, some of the some of the cons couldn't do it. I mean, they were just so leaning towards the bits, but they you know, and besides the scary like that, so it took away from like doing anything. So that's when we had that talk, and last year we were just like, You gotta you gotta scare more, like bring back the the scary farm factor where you just like go out there and scare. Yeah, I I always wondered, like I I was always curious, like it was I was I wasn't much of worrying, I was just more cute like wondering why, like what was the like the the diff like what was so different because it just seemed like off it was in some ways.
SPEAKER_06There was there was other factors that were off, right? Like like returning characters not coming back, you know, like like people that have been there from the beginning. Yes. You know what I mean? Yeah. So like that that's like a whole different conversation. Right, right. But like like there was a lot of like it's just like a lot of I don't know, is it like uneasiness in a way? With the cast? With us? Well, no, just like in general. I guess at I'm not.
SPEAKER_02It felt really different. It just felt very, very different. You know, like just the whole thing. Like we couldn't beat us, like what Goring was. Like in 20, like 22 was I felt like the peak golden years of of Goring. I think that was the golden year. That dude, we had a super cast. I've said it before. That was a super cast. Yeah, there was no AMB.
SPEAKER_06That's when we won the Golden Hot.
SPEAKER_02We won it so many times, like consecutively. Like it just it was like the we basically I always say we broke the game. We played the game so hard we broke it. Yeah. Because after that it disappeared. We were can we were head and head with you guys. Yes.
SPEAKER_06Because you guys won like the year before that. Yeah, because we were we were we were close that time too.
SPEAKER_10And then we were like going head and head with you guys. And I was that was my first year in Carnival in 22. And we were like, we're so close. But once you started winning like multiple, multiple times throughout that last week, I was like, man, shit, we're we're screwed. Yeah. You guys were you guys had just like this like this weird energy that just like made the zone what it is.
SPEAKER_06Dude, it was just it was perfect. Yes. And then you know, I just feel like they just things had to change too much. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10And and that's that's that's a obviously a different story. And that's like that's a thing that like things change, and obviously like that was for us too. Like think like we we had changed too. Like a lot, some people left, some people did different things, yeah. Uh different characters, and um and it was kind of like that too, like last year. Like we we talked about, you know, like our you know, we had a great cast, we had a very great cast. And um then we then we talked about like you know, we're what's next. Like, well, we're gonna do well, some of us want to go to some of the other different zones, some of us wants to stay here and see what happens, and yeah, just kind of just like set us separating. We're like, oh shit, man, we had like a good thing going on.
SPEAKER_06That's what sucks is because like you can't like you can't keep the momentum, yes, because they separate people or people do want to leave or people don't come back, right?
SPEAKER_10But my like because I was so used to when I started in in 2013, like I hung around like legendary, like rock stars. Like there were like I had Gary Spaz, like Paul Vachette, Bob, Cowboy Bobby, um Jeff Star. Like I hung around those, like I never hung out with it, but like I saw those people, like I got to scare with them too. Like prime, prime people, like those people were like, if you were that saw that time, you'd be like, holy shit. Yeah, like the things that they did, I couldn't like I couldn't do. I had to get to work. Yeah. But we always had like we were always safe because we were we always had that next generation like take over and do the the good thing, and we had that running for such a while, a long time, till like till it I'll be honest with you, until the 50th.
SPEAKER_09Until the 50th, like changed, and it just started to become a different tone in the room.
SPEAKER_02I felt like they started to try to do more Goring 20s stuff, yes, and and and they saw how successful it was, and then they were trying to emulate that. Like you guys had, I think at one point in Carnival, they put you guys had like a music moment, right? Kind of like what we had with the it was a witching hour. The witching hour. I remember hearing that. Well, I was this goofy music playing, and then you guys were all like acting wild or whatever, but they were trying to create something because I felt they had seen that in Gorn with the tiger death crawl, you know, when Court created that. Yeah, and that was that's its own phenomenon, dude.
SPEAKER_10That that took a that has its own life even after Court knows that for a guy just like all of a sudden, like, I'm gonna do a frickin' tiger crawl and just get everybody in, and all of a sudden now that's like a prominent thing now where like everyone's gonna do it. Because like that's like when you go in there, like you go in there to do the tiger crawl. That's weird, it's so weird, but it's like and he started that shit. It's so weird, but it's like been fascinating at the same time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Court started that, dude, and it's still living on beyond him now that he's not even there. You know, it's the new bartenders doing it, and and the people are still. I mean, I I every night it would be crowded, dude, with doing that that that whole dance. It's kind of like uh it's kind of like a thriller type of dance. Yeah, absolutely. Everyone get everyone can be involved, the little kids, the old people, right? Everybody's involved.
SPEAKER_10But it's so weird. Look, if you put that in a freaking in in carnival, it'll look fucking weird as fuck. I'm like, I'm like, what the fuck's going on? Okay, we're not doing this shit. But if you put in a theme like going 20s, like, oh yeah, that makes a lot of fucking sense.
SPEAKER_06Like I remember I remember seeing like in Ghost Town, they were doing like a like a like a battle. Yeah. Which is like what we would do all the fucking time is battles. And then they they brought in Ghost Town with like they had.
SPEAKER_10Well, and Kmart Alley, and I and I saw that too, and I was like, what is going on?
SPEAKER_02Weren't there some people not liking that? They're like, oh something about the theater. I saw a video and I was like, wait, what?
SPEAKER_10I went I went Ghost Town? I remember one time I went over to like Cade and I I told him like, dude, there's there's 10 people with eight other people watching in Kmart Alley.
SPEAKER_09There's literally a crowd over there. I didn't look, it's nothing against them. I get it. You're trying to do some like theatrical scene, right? And I I get it to show what your character is, but it doesn't fucking fit with the whole zone.
SPEAKER_10I'm like, and that's why they shut up the light, they shut that light off, and they admit no one to go there anymore. Because that was the year when I left and went back to Carnival. They shut that light off. And so what's that issue? And it look, I um like I said, it's I'm not against I'm not like saying that's well, it is dumb, but like, but like at the same time, like it is it is silly to see that like it just didn't make sense to me. It didn't, it didn't make sense. Yeah, and then anyone and it I mean I'm seeing um some people try uh thought it was the greatest. It was like I mean I get that. That's your own thing. Cool, I I get that, that's your own opinion. Um I I respect that, but like at the same time, it just like I I just remember I was around that, like, and I still keep this value to this day, like we talk about values. Yeah, is that like I kept the value of just like get out there and fucking pull numbers and fucking scare, go do laps, go fucking do the whole you know that the we're the biggest fucking zone, yeah. In in in in Scary Farm, like we're the biggest zone. Even when we had when we cut off Silver Bowl it, when we had Silver Bowl it, we were we're like huge. Yeah, I miss what it was that that far. And we're but like even when we cut off Silver Bowl, we're still the biggest. Anyway, the the back to that stuff, it's like it fits for you guys. The theatrical stuff fits with you guys because like it's like it did, yeah. I know you guys called it, you guys got compliments about this before, but it did feel like a ghost town alive like but scary farm theme, right in some ways. Um, so it was just a lot of like interaction. So I understood that, but when that got that identity got taken away, it just became just like the like everything else. The tone, yeah, like everything else. Like the tone of the room just like changed. I was like, I wonder what happened. Like, I wonder if that's like if that's a thing now, or it that's like gonna I'm hoping like something like that, like um it will happen. I mean will happen again next year, or that something will change. You know, like I always I always wonder, like it was it was uh thought. I hope it's not that. I hope not either. Honestly, that like like you said, like twenty two thousand twenty two, when I saw that when I went to go visit, yeah that like it looked like what it what the zone was was meant to be.
SPEAKER_02I think that was Gorin's peak, in my opinion. 22 was Gorin's peak. Yeah, and I I'm not just I'm not trying to be biased, but but yeah, that was That was it, dude. That was like every everything was firing on all cylinders, like everything the improv, the scares, the show moments. I mean, everybody was like on their game.
SPEAKER_10What what would be a counter to that though? What could it be like what could like actually bring back like the gore what what going should be? Like, can you bring back the bits but in like a small manner, or can you do like something that make the the street zone? I'm not saying the street zone wasn't bad, it's still what is what it is. You know, it it's still great. It's I mean, every it's probably like I mean you get people hanging around there the whole night.
SPEAKER_06Uh not as not as many as years prior. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. But uh I don't know, man. I honestly I don't know. I mean, maybe something new. You know, yeah, I don't know what that would be. Um it's hard to say to be honest.
SPEAKER_10I see you guys, because you guys I see I consider you guys the longest veterans over there because I mean you guys have been there the longest. I'm assuming, because it I'm assuming you that you're the only two.
SPEAKER_06No, uh it's uh he came the second year, the second year.
SPEAKER_10So I it was it's you were the longest, I should say. Me, Kathy, Kathy the flower lady, yes, Kathy. Uh great talent, great freaking talent, great talent. I met her when she was in Ghost Town, and she was it wasn't that great. It was like I felt so bad for her, but like she got sent back to mazes, and then she developed and she went to streets. And I was like, holy I talked about this with Jason Woods because she's good, he's uh good friends with her. And um, and she just got so much better.
SPEAKER_09I was like, holy shit, dude.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, like it got so much lot better. That's like I love people, I love stories like that. Like love seeing people just like not seen like fail, obviously, but like I was seeing like hey, you know, like sometimes you just get into like streets in the wrong place, the wrong time, yeah, and you're just not ready. You just I step, go back to square one, and um and it's not like you're feeling like I don't know, like it's not discouraged in some ways, it's just more like to like hey, let's work on something here. Yeah, you just gotta start back to square one and go up there. I I like I like people like do that, like it's you know, and some people take it a different way thinking like, well, if I go back to mazes, it just means I I'm like they they don't like me anymore, manager doesn't like me. It's not the fucking point. Yeah, it's not at all. They just want you to like go back, they want you to be placed in mazes to start somewhere and get built up from there.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I I know it's kind of vague, but you know, I hope that makes sense. You know, going back to what you said, like what do you think would make the zone better? I think letting us play again. Yeah, but see, like with you going back to what you said earlier about the ball sack on your head, yeah. Look at what you discovered on that day when it was raining, and because you happened to have that thing painted on you, you got to play and you discovered something. Yeah, they didn't make it go wipe it off. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, not at all. You were free to I was surprised. No, you were free to play. Yeah. And that's like the best that's the best time when like the best ideas come out of nowhere. You know, when you're allowed to play and you're free. And that's the best time. Yeah. When you tell Zone like Gorin, like, you I we just want you to scare. Yeah, you're kind of taking its identity because that's not how it started. We they didn't know what they were gonna do in the beginning, they didn't know what it was gonna be. They were I mean, the year one, they were they were figuring stuff out, and then they figured the stuff out with the band, using the band, using the music, they figured out those dance moves and those those show moments there, and then they were like they were free to like try other things. Yeah, but if you put like a restriction on that, kind of like a governor on that, like you're gonna kill the creativity.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, you let it breathe. 2022 and 2023, we had the most fun because we had I know you're supposed to you know how like there's a whole process to get things approved now. Yeah, I don't know if that was a thing. I mean, you probably had to show something or whatever, but yeah. Um man, dude, we me and me and Ryan would sit backstage, my other newsy buddy, who everyone who they still confuse me for all the time. Like Pasta thinks I'm Ryan. Right, she thinks he's a slider, and she she every time she sees me, she's like, Are you sliding this year? I'm like, I've never slid. That's right. In my life. Yeah, in my life. Uh and they're like, Wait, Ryan didn't have a mustache. I was like, Yeah, no, I know. Yeah, uh, and Dalen doesn't fucking slide. Yeah, but um, no, um, but dude, man, we would sit backstage and just kind of like, Oh, what should we do tonight? You know, what should we do? You know, what what kind of what can we make fun like fun for us, you know? Who because we would just uh my whole thing is I like making people laugh. Yeah, so I just do the stupidest shit to make people laugh. And so we would just sit back there and just think like what we can do, and and like for example, we decided to do missing signs or or like home, like we're homeless in a way, right? Like we're little kids asking for money, and so we get we found we went to the the cardboard bin back there in in uh lakeside and uh grabbed a bunch of cardboard and started writing shit, you know. Oh shit uh reward 13 and a half cents, whatever the fuck, you know, or uh uh I am lost or whatever the fuck. And then we just start with like like we were running with that shit, you know, and we're having so much fun. And I think the and everyone loved it. All the people that came through loved it, right? Like we had me, it was me, Ryan, and Braden, we were standing by the bumper cars in front of it on the thing with our signs up, yelling, yelling them out, you know, I am lost or whatever the fuck. Where's my mommy? I don't know. And dude, we had crowds just forming and listening to us, and people offering us money and shit. But then they took it away. You would still get your scares too. But we were and I and as I'm doing I'm fucking scaring people as it's going on, yeah. You know, as I'm walking with my side, boom, you know, yeah, whatever, you know. And but then they took it away.
SPEAKER_10Uh that's crazy. Like that, like taking part of that element of like that zone to just like it that would worry me too. That would really worry me. I'm like, I wonder, like, why would you take such a thing? It's like for us, like they didn't tell us to do, tell us like this, go scare more, but like end up being like half and half, like a lot, some of the bit, like well, actually more scary, obviously, but like a majority of it was like bits and scares, you know, like and um even like for me, like being the boss man, god, that's that's a fucking hard job for me, like being the boss man, because everyone asks me, like, what should do, you know. Like, I'm like, but don't ask me. Then um, then we started to come up with uh word of the day, you know, and we will just make up a word, and then me and Paul started making Paul started making up words, and we start I we would throw it back and forth. We're like, all right, we'll uh say this day, and um we'll say um uh dan dandelions, like whatever. I don't remember the whole uh words we said. Uh there's there was a list of them. And uh there was one fan uh named Stella, Stella, she's like a very nice woman. She would she would post me a picture of me, uh me scaring, and then she would uh she would say the word because I tell her the word of the day, but she would post it on her Instagram story, and she would tag me, and it would say the word of the day is whatever I said, like damn damn lions or something like that. That's cool, or um, or cucumber, yeah, yeah, like something like that. And um, and I would we would but we would say that word and scare people, yeah, yeah, at the same time. So we'll like go up to people like cucumber, like like that, and then um things like that. We would just like come up with more create, but we would tell the whole clowns like where the day is this, where the day is that. Um I don't know if it's just I guess it always fits because we're like clowns and we're we're supposed to be like stupid like that. But um like more of it, I'm like, holy shit, we're just like creating we're creating and scaring at the same time. And I think that's the main the main element.
SPEAKER_06I mean like I I created this thing with the light post next to uh the menus stand. I named him Jimmy, yeah, and it became a big thing, and I regretted it when it happened uh because I had to yell at the fucking light post every fucking day. But um, like even now, like I feel awkward interacting with it because I don't know if I'm gonna get yelled at for or like you know, like not yelled at, but like talk to for not because I'm on a light post, you know, and not scaring. You know what I mean? I so like I stopped, I even stopped doing it.
SPEAKER_10Me, me, I would just fucking just do it, yeah, but like in a way where it's like it's it's uh it's a good time to do it and then leave. Like like I would interact with like the guests and uh give them like um or I'll just do like the fart sound or fart out people and um and then or like or one time when we did the the weapons run. I did the weapon. I did that too. I did the weapons run. So I did so we we all got together. Uh I got yelled at for this too. And I went up through weapons run. We all started running down midway doing the weapons one run, and we started running down, and I got in trouble for that the next day. They're like, dude, you can't do that. I'm like, motherfucker, why?
