Okay, let's try for take two, folks, because we weren't even on the air the last time. I don't know what happened. Something got screwed up. I did all the speaking, and then noticed, oh, we're not on the air. Now we are. Oh my lord. Technology, technology, technology, but we're back. Well, we have to discuss the Phillies getting blown out last night by the score of 12 to 1. The Flyers getting smoked by the Carolina hurricanes. They came through here like a hurricane and dominated us. It was a competitive first period. After that, it was penalties galore. All over the ice. Nine power plays for Carolina. Nine. It's awful. Just awful. Now we're down 3-0, which means if we don't win tomorrow night at 6, we are done for the year. I'm proud of the Flyers for doing what they did, getting into the playoffs, 3.8% chance they had, but they made it. They whipped Pittsburgh's ass. I am so proud of them, but this series has been abysmal. Dan Vlad's played fine. But this series has absolutely been abysmal. The power plays. Their power play stinks the flyers. It's terrible. Did somebody just text me? Oh lord. I have to go find out who that was. Okay. Somebody text me. I'm on the air, sweetie. I'm on the air right now. I can't have the phone in here.

SPEAKER_01Okay, folks, let's try it again. We had some difficulties. When I went to play this recording back, the last one, it didn't even convert properly, so I don't know what happened. This is WICS. Oh, Lord have mercy. I'm trying to get myself together here, but it's not working. The Philadelphia Eagles schedule came out, and the Eagles are playing the Houston Texans on Christmas Eve Thursday night football. They've also got another London trip. And they play the very next week. The Philadelphia Phillies were ten games below 500. They have now reached the break-even point after beating the Pittsburgh Pirates. Last night's game, they came back from a 6-0 deficit. Alright, we're back with you on the typical confusion podcast. And I tried zucchini for the very first time. It's actually pretty good. Nadia is one hell of a cook, man. She's just. She did peanut butter and jelly French toast. I'm like, this is nuts. And if you think about it, it tastes good. The Shake Shack does hamburgers with peanut butter and jelly. I've never had that. Oh my god. She did a tortilla thing. She filled it with like meat and stuff. Oh god, it was awesome. Anyway, what I didn't cover previously was the fact that Daryl Mori was let go by the 76ers. And Bob Myers and uh Josh Harris are looking for the next Sixers next basketball operations person. I heard something on Sports Radio 94 WIP saying that it's probably gonna be Elton Brand. He had it before, he didn't do a very good job, so I think they're gonna look elsewhere. I mean, whoever this new person is. I mean, he didn't bring in Nick Nurse. Nick Nurse will be back for his second year, or fourth year, whatever it is. And uh, so that's basically where that's coming from.
SPEAKER_00This is the truth this is with the palace in Total Land Africa that was designed and built from the illustrations in a book of German fairy tales. Believe it or not. In a moment, we'll tell you the amazing story of a ship captain who fought nature to save his ship. Captain Samuel Samuel, used to go down in maritime history, is one of the great masters of the sea. In February 1862, he shifted the clipper ship rigged and furious gales. Heavy seas tore away the runner. All of them failed against any kind of fury. So Samuel rigged his sails in reverse, and steering over the gall, he sailed his ship backward 280 miles through the fury of the storm. Believe it funny.
