Hello and welcome to another edition of the Typical Confusion Podcast. I'm your host, Jim Holiday. Don't forget you can follow the show on X at TCPC underscore pod or on Facebook at facebook.com forward slash typical confusion podcast radio. You can also leave us a voicemail message and or a text message from within your podcast app. More coming up next, so stay with us. Ladies and gentlemen, it is an absolutely gorgeous day outside. I am sitting on my front porch just getting some air. I'm going out in a little while. But it is fabulous out here. The Phillies swept out the San Diego Padres in San Diego. Today is Thursday. They're off today. Friday, they begin a three-game series out in LA with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Tonight's starting pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies will be Zach Wheeler, and Justin Robleski will pitch for the Dodgers at Chavez Robin tonight at 10:15 Eastern Standard Time. The Phillies lost two out of three to the Los Angeles Dodgers. They did have a winning road trip, though, which is nice to see.

This is the truth. This is rippling. Believe it or not. In one African tribe, the tribal doctor is chosen in an amazing contest. The job goes to the woman who can sniff pepper without sneezing. Believe it or not. In a moment, I'll tell you about the man who became a blind sightseer. James Holman, an English naval officer in the 19th century, lost his eyesight when he was 24 years old. This tragedy spurred him on to a new and somewhat unusual career for a blind man. For Holman became a world traveler, traveling from continent to continent alone. Yet, in spite of the fact he was blind, Holman published several excellent books about travel, a tribute to his extraordinary powers of observation. Believe it or not.
