- MOA – Produces rapid and brief state of general anesthesia.
- Indication – Anesthesia induction
- Contraindication – Hypovolemia
- Side effects – Apnea, Cardiac arrhythmias, asystole, hypotension, hypertension.
- Dosing
Initial induction:
1.5-3mg/kg IV/IO followed by a maintenance infusion.
Adult maintenance infusion
25-75 mcg/kg/min IV/IO
Pedi maintenance infusion
30-300 mcg/kg/min IV/IO
