What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of Down Once More. I'm your host, Matt, and it is July 1st. It is time to go over what is coming to streaming and theaters this month. This will not be a comprehensive list by any means. That would take forever, and there would be a lot of just garbage thrown in there that you don't care about, I don't care about. So what this is is the main originals coming to the streaming platforms and what I'm excited about. Either things that I will finally get the opportunity to watch or at least have it available to me. I don't have time to watch most of this stuff, or things I've seen before and I love and am excited that is coming to streaming, so you can check it out too. As always, I open this up with what I have been watching lately and giving you my quick thoughts on those. I do have one quick musical announcement: Lynn Manuel Miranda and Isa Davis's concept album, Warriors, for a musical that kind of gender swaps the classic film and takes a new musical take on it, which I really enjoyed the concept album. They've been doing a workshop. It was announced it is officially coming to Broadway in March of 2027. So that's exciting. Excited to see casting for that and how that develops. I'm not sure how I feel. They've already kind of changed the logo and switched things up a little bit from the concept album, like grittier graffiti design. Now it's just like a very polished-looking uh subway token. So I don't know. I get it, but I hope that they still keep that gritty just mix of genres feel that the mute that the concept album had. So okay, time to get into the watch report. Obviously, I have been watching Love Island USA season eight. Uh Casa More just ended as I'm recording this. I'm recording this on Sunday, the 28th. So, also what that inevitably means is the streaming sites like to announce new things the day after I record this. So there will probably be new things coming to the streaming sites between now and July 1st when this episode releases. But I've been watching Love Island USA. House of the Dragon is batch back. I've been watching that. I've been doing instant reaction videos on YouTube for both of those series. So make sure you subscribe and check those out. House of the Dragon comes to audio platforms as well. And then the Love Island ones, I just group all the instant reaction videos at the end of the week and push it out as one massive compilation episode both on YouTube and all audio platforms. And another plug, you can watch the podcast on Spotify and Apple Podcasts now as well. So it's available there in video version, not just YouTube. But the other things I've been watching, I got around to watching Mortal Kombat 2, and I have mixed feelings on it. I'm all for some dumb action, just over the top. I think my biggest problem with this, as stupid as it's gonna sound, is they try to do too much story with it. Um, I don't know. Like there's always some weird, insane over-the-top plot in the games if you play the campaign mode of those. And they're not quite going to the extremes of the games in the movies, and I don't know. The story hasn't worked for me. The fights are still fun. I felt like the fights in the first one were more fun. This one just had more of them. I don't love Carl Urban as Johnny Cage. I like Carl Urban, I like the character of Johnny Cage. Together, it didn't quite work as well for me, but still fun. Turn your mind off, have some dumb action going on in the background. Don't pay you to rent it or get it on digital just when it hits a streaming platform. It's worth checking out. I also binged Not Suitable for Work, a new Hulu comedy series from Mindy Kaling that I talked about last month when it was releasing. I thought it was fun. I thought it was silly, a little bit sweet. Uh, and setting it up for a season two, so I hope it gets renewed for a season two because I did thoroughly enjoy it. Um, I also watched Alice and Steve. This was a British comedy series with Jermaine Clement that was a Hulu original as well, and I absolutely loved it. I binge watched that in a day. I think it's six, maybe eight episodes, but it's a lot of fun. It's over the top. Also ended in a cliffhanger, so we'll see what happens with season two. Um, I did watch They Will Kill You as Zazie Beats. That was released on HBO Max last month, so I watched that. Another one with just some over-the-top action. I thought the plot was interesting enough. Uh, I enjoyed it for what it was. It's not gonna jump to the top of my list, but it was still a lot of fun. I also watched a Widow's Bay finally finished up on Apple TV. And I say finally because I was so excited to see what happened, not because I'm like, ugh, will this ever end? One of the best series that I have watched in a while. The one thing I didn't like is they announced a season two prior to the finale, and I didn't love that because then you knew it was gonna kind of end on a cliffhanger and there wasn't gonna be any resolution. I would have preferred going into that final episode, not knowing what was gonna happen, if they were gonna get the resolution that was set up in the episodes before, or if things were gonna keep going. But how it ended, I'm so pumped for season two and what's to come. It's gonna be nuts. I loved it, can't wait to see more. I've also been watching Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, another Apple original that is so good, Tatiana Maslani. It is funny, it is intense, there's twists, there's turns, great like mystery crime thriller. Really enjoying it. Jake Johnson, also great in it, so I'm gonna keep watching that. The other one that I've been watching on Apple TV, because they're just crushing it right now, is Cape Fear. Javier Bardem gives a super menacing performance and is so good in it. I have not read the original novel or watched the movie that it was based off of, um, given kind of a modern twist. I am liking it a lot so far. After the series concludes, I'll probably go and watch the movie, but I don't want anything to be tainted in my mind. It is interesting how they do some of the editing and cuts, and the style of it does feel like a more classic movie in the best ways. I really enjoy it. It's some different camera techniques that we don't see as much anymore. This was executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg. So uh great team behind it, and I'm really enjoying it. Lots of great talent in it. Not sure how I feel about Amy Adams' Southern accent yet, but uh I also binge watched I Will Find You on Netflix. This was based on the Harlan Coben novel, has Sam Worlington in it. I thought it was very good. I binge watched that in a weekend, last weekend, and eight episodes, great mystery thriller. I highly recommend it. I also got into documentaries, uh, true crime documentaries. I'm usually not a big documentary person, but the my sweet spot I found is like the ones that are like an hour and a half, hour 45 that can wrap up where it's not like a commitment to four or six episodes, things like that. So I watched Maternal Instinct, which is nuts and disturbing. If you're pregnant or were recently pregnant, don't recommend you watching it. But just seeing the twisted mind of some people is wild. I also watched Girl in the Picture, which is a 2022 doc, which was also not as wild as Maternal Instinct, but still just a crazy story to uncover. And I finally got around to watching The Perfect Neighbor. Uh, this one is a heartbreaking documentary uh about just crazy neighbors and sets up a new Netflix, like it wasn't intentionally setting it up, but there's a new Netflix series that I'll talk about in a minute. Uh The Worst Neighbor, that this feels like it is a nice lead-in to that. I also finally finished Gary, which was the special surprise episode that was released of the Bear with uh that follows Mikey and Richie. And I don't know, I struggled with this episode. I've been struggling with the last few seasons of The Bear. I feel like none of the subsequent seasons have reached the peak that season one was, uh, for me, anyways. And so the final season dropped a couple days ago. I haven't watched it yet. I've prioritized other things because I'm having a hard time getting excited for it and into it. So that'll happen. I'll touch base on it probably next month. I'll watch it sometime this month. So we'll see. Um, Gary was so-so for me. I didn't, it's just a lot. Like Mikey and Richie are both a lot, a lot of yelling and lots of just I I don't know. Not for everyone. Didn't really do anything for me. So check it out if you want. Okay, that's kind of the sum of what I've watched this month, at least the high-level things. Uh, let's get into what is coming to Netflix this month. So on July 1st, they had a drop of some older movies and some new stuff as well. So we got Fargo, Gone Girl, Heroes, Moneyball, Spider-Man Homecoming, White Chicks, Nomad Land. And for new Netflix originals that we're releasing is the worst neighbor ever series, which is a documentary series, which looks like they're also using some animated scenes of what's playing out instead of with actors and everything like that. So that's interesting. But it looks like it's covering four wild stories, so I'm excited to check that out. And then also Enola Holmes 3 with Millie Bobby Brown. I have not watched the first two Enola Holmes movies. I watched the trailer for the third one, and this is aggressively not for me. Um, the amount of fourth wall breaking and just nothing from this trailer intrigued me. And so we'll see if that's your thing if you watch the other ones. If I'm way off the mark and these movies are great, and I needed to bump them to the top of my list, throw it in the comments, let me know. Otherwise, that's not probably one I'll be checking out. July 2nd, a movie that intrigues me is the 2025 Ralph Fein's movie, The Coral. So I'm gonna be excited to check that out. July 6th, we have Hamnet. July 7th, we have a new Netflix comedy special. Uh, nice to meet you, Jeff R. Curry's comedy special. Uh, I love the clips of Jeff R. Curry that I've seen on like Instagram and things like that. So I'm excited to check out his special. On July 9th, the new Little House on the Prairie series comes out based on the books, the Laura Ingalls-Wilder books, which I growing up as a conservative Christian homeschooled child, that was something that we were read constantly or were encouraged to read. I don't remember jack shit about them. But if that's your thing, if you love that, the trailer makes it look far more interesting than I ever remember the books being. So we'll see how it actually is. The trailer makes it look like there is a lot of action and adventure and things happening as this family is struggling to survive on the prairie. So we'll see. Maybe I'll check it out, but probably not. July 10th, the documentary Shipwrecked Nightmare at Sea. It's about the 2012 luxury cruise shipwreck, and it has some unseen footage, survivor stories. Uh, now that I am in my kind of documentary phase, I will probably be checking this one out. On July 14th, the Hunger Games, the Ballad of Song, Birds and Snakes, the prequel to the Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and all that series. I don't know why I specifically called out Catching Fire, but I really enjoyed it. Uh Rachel Zegler has a fantastic voice, and so we get some songs in there with it. So that's coming to Netflix now. On July 16th, a new Netflix original series starring Will Farrell, the Hawk, comes out. So Will Farrell plays an aging golfer who is trying to get one final achievement and he now is having to compete against his own son. It looks over the top, it looks ridiculous. If Will Farrell's comedy is your genre of comedy, this is for you. If Will Farrell annoys the shit out of you, this won't be for you. That kind of goes without saying, but I'm explicitly stating it for you. On July 17th, Heartstopper Forever comes out. This is the Netflix original movie that's a follow-up to the Netflix TV series. And then on July 20th, Wicked for Good comes to Netflix. And then finally on July 24th is 72 hours. This is another Netflix original comedy movie. It stars Kevin Hart, Mason Gooding, and then a couple of the Saturday Night Live guys, Cam Patterson, Marcelo Hernandez, Ben Marshall. It looks like a throwback to 2000s comedy movies, like in the likes of Road Trip and Euro Trip, movies with trips in them. It's about Kevin Hart accidentally gets thrown on a group text chain with these guys and invited to the bachelor party. And then hijinks and Sue, as I like to say on here. So I don't know if it'll be good. I haven't watched Little Brother yet, that just released on Netflix this month. So we will see, or this past month, I guess, technically in June with uh John Cena, Eric Andre. I the viral marketing for it I haven't loved, so we'll see. I do plan on checking that movie because I think John Cena and comedies are almost 100% of a hit for me. Over on Apple TV, just a few things coming out. On July 3rd, the season three premiere of Silo, if you've been checking that out. On July 8th, the season five premiere of Trying. And then on July 15th, we have an original movie, Lucky. Anya Taylor Joy and Timothy Oliphant are in this crime thriller series. It's based on Marissa Stapley's novel. So the trailer looks action-packed. I love Anya Taylor Joy. I love Timothy Oliphant, so I'm excited to check it out. And then on July 24th, The Dink, a new movie with Jake Johnson, Mary Steenbergen, Ed Harris, and Ben Stiller, who is executive producing it as well. But Jake Johnson plays a tennis player who gets an injury, and Ed Harris plays head of a tennis organization that thinks pickleball is an enemy and out to get them. But after Jake Johnson gets injured, he is forced and encouraged by his doctor, I guess I should say, to pick up a pickleball on his road to recovery. And he gets into it. It's a pickleball versus tennis movie. It looks kind of ridiculous. It looks like a lot of fun though, so I'm excited to check that out. Let's hop on over to Prime Video. On July 1st, I'm gonna start off with their new Prime Original series, Elle. This is from the world of legally blonde, they say. It's basically a prequel series about Elle Woods before what we see in the movies. It's when her and her family move from LA to Seattle, and she's struggling to fit in with her LA vibes and lifestyle and just make it work there. They go a little over the top with it. Literally, everyone in the school that she goes to is wearing all black, and then she's there in all of her pink. So I don't know. It's getting solid early reviews. I'll probably check this out at some point. It's just not jumping to the top of my list. So things that already exist that are dropping on Prime Video on the first is the Everybody Hates Chris, the entire series, as well as Gilmore Girls, the entire series. Then for movies, we've got backdraft, bottoms, which I really enjoyed, really funny comedy. Uh, Couples Retreat, Death Race, which I love the death race movies, Fiddler on the Roof for your musical vibes, Gladiator, How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, How to Train Your Dragon, 1 and 2, the animated ones, Ice Age, the 2006 Miami Vice, Roadhouse, the original, Saving Private Ryan, Three Amigos, 3,000 Years of Longing, which is weird, but I enjoyed it with Idris Elba um and Kate Blanchette. Tropic Thunder, The Martian, Uncharted, War Dogs, and World War Z. Then on July 13th, there's a new documentary series, Murder 101. This is based on the Murder 101 podcast about a teacher who teaches a class where him and his students they dive into true crime, like cold cases, unsolved cases, and try to use some deductive reasoning and teaches them how to investigate these things. It looks very interesting. I haven't checked out the podcast, but if you're a fan of the podcast, check out the show when it comes to Netflix. I mean, not Netflix, Prime Video. On July 15th, a new original comedy series Ride or Die. This stars Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham from Ted Lasso, who I love Hannah Waddingham. Also, Broadway background. Uh, well, West End background. But Hannah Waddingham's character plays an assassin who takes out bad people, in her words, and she's trying to protect her friend Octavia Spencer because people are going after her husband, who made some questionable choices. It looks fun, it's got some good action, looks like it's got some good comedy. I love both Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham, so I'm excited to check this one out. July 17th, we got the movie The Amateur, July 24th, The Wild Robot. And then on July 31st, uh Primate, the monkey murder movie that I haven't checked out yet. And then the Prime Original series Batman Cape Crusader, that animated show is back for season two on July 31st. Let's hop on over to HBO Max. On July 1st, we have almost the entire Evil Dead franchise dropping in anticipation of Evil Dead Burn coming out later this month. We have the original, the Evil Dead, then we have Army of Darkness, Evil Dead 2, and then the 2013 Evil Dead. Then you've got Hereditary, so lots of good horror movies dropping on the first. And I mean the earlier horror horror, the earlier Evil Dead ones, especially Army of Darkness and Evil Dead 2, lean more into campy comedy than actual horror, but the 2013 Evil Dead is straight horror, and so is Evil Dead Rise and Burn looks like it as well. Uh then you also have Just Friends, Legally Blonde, Super Troopers 2, The Equalizer, and the two sequels, Equalizer 2 and 3, very original with the names. Uh the Meg, if you need some Jason Statham and Giant Shark action, and then the Mummy, The Mummy Returns, and the Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. And then the usual suspects, and then Us, the great Jordan Peel horror movie that I really enjoyed. On July 3rd, Lee Cronin's Mummy comes out. This is one that I heard not great things about, that it's more like a grudge movie than an e than a mummy movie. They just kind of slapped the name on it. I'm gonna check it out. I love a good horror movie, so we'll see how it is. July 9th, uh HBO original documentary series The Man Will Burn, which chronicles uh Burning Man and its kind of history. On July 10th, The Long Walk. July 13th, Dumb Money, July 17th, Pacific Rim Uprising and Tag. And then on July 23rd, a new HBO original series, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. Now, this is a spin-off from the Big Bang Theory, if you were a fan of that. It takes place in multiple different realities, it looks kind of ridiculous and over the top. I enjoyed the Big Bang Theory for what it was when I watched it. Stuart was never a favorite character of mine. This trailer does not really intrigue me at all. We'll see if it gets great reviews. Maybe I'll check it out. Uh, it didn't really do anything for me. And then what I'm most excited about on July 31st, the A24 Robert Pattinson and Zendaya movie, the drama is coming to streaming finally. So I'll be checking that out. Alright, over on Hulu on July 1st, we had a number of things drop. We had Bad Boys and Bad Boys 2, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dirty Dancing, Happy Gilmore, Interstellar, Iron Man and Iron Man 2, Mamma Mia, and Mamma Mia, here we go again, Miracle, Planet of the Apes, the 2001 uh version of the movie with Mark Wahlberg, which isn't great, but it's ridiculous, and so it's kind of fun just for the absurdity of the movie. Uh, Saving Silverman, Selma, Titanic, the entire Twilight series, and then The Wolf of Wall Street. On July 2nd, Ready or Not Two, Here I Come comes out. Which I kind of wish they would have dropped. I don't know why you include the two. If you're gonna have like the not subtitle, I always forget what to call it. The whatever, the thing underneath it. Just call it Ready or Not, Here I Come. You don't need Ready or Not Two, Here I Come. Do Ready or Not Two or Ready or Not Here I Come. Anyways, that's neither here nor there. On July 3rd, we got some solid A24 movies. We got Bodies, Bodies, Bodies, Everything Everywhere, All At Once, Ladybird, and then Moonlight as well. On July 5th is Shark Fest, which is basically a number, basically like Shark Week, it's a number of different shark specials, uh, following like hammerheads, different things like that. So if Shark Week was your thing growing up, this will be for you. On July 10th is Redux Redux. Um, I also don't know if that's how you pronounce that. I've only read it. Maybe it's redo redo. Now I don't know. I don't know. Now I'm gonna find out. Okay, according to YouTube and Google, it's Redux, not Redo. So that's good. At least I was saying it right. But the funny thing, the auto captions on YouTube uh said it as three ducks. So who knows? On July 16th, the Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg movie that won awards last year, Real Pain, comes out. On July 17th, they fight, which is a Hulu original movie which follows a formerly incarcerated coach who decides to teach a group of adolescent boys boxing, help train them up, teach them some values and some skills. So it looks very good as Wendell Pierce in it as well. Um, really enjoy him as an actor, so I'm excited to check this out. On July 23rd, a National Geographic show, Pompeii Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston. This, I don't I don't know what to think about it. It looks intriguing because it is Tom Hiddleston working with archaeologists and historians, going through stories of people from Pompeii, and it looks like they've got actors recreating things. Tom Hiddleston is doing some acting performances, like he's in the scenes too. So I don't know, but I am intrigued. On July 24th, Nirvana the Band, the show, the movie comes out. This is something I have zero knowledge of. I have heard that the movie was fantastic, but I have never watched Nirvana the band of the show, and I haven't seen Nirvana the Band, the show, the movie. So we will see. I have no idea where you can even watch Nirvana the Band, the show. Um, it's weird to say, but I've heard great things about the movie, so I'll probably check it out at some point. On July 27th, uh Hulu original series Furious comes out. This star is Emmy Rossom as an FBI investigator who's tracking down a female killer who she believes is a serial killer. I like Emmy Rossom. She was great in Shameless, she was great in Phantom of the Opera. I really enjoyed her as Christine and think she has a wonderful voice. So I'm excited to check this out. It looks like it will be an intense uh crime thriller. On July 31st, the FX series Adult uh is having a special episode that comes out, and then season two premiere is happening in August. And also the Liam Hemsworth and Russell Crowe action movie Land of Bad also comes out on the 31st. Over on Disney Plus, really only one thing, and that's X-Men 97 season two premiering on July 1st. It's having a three-episode premiere and then will release weekly for the rest of the series. So I haven't even watched season one yet. I heard great things about it, and I'm hearing they're a lot of hype for season two, so I'll probably check that out. It's on my list, just haven't gotten to it yet. Over on Peacock, July 1st, we had a number of drops. We got Jaws, 27 Dresses, Elite of Battle Angel, Bad Moms, Big, Blink Twice, highly recommend uh Zoe Kravitz, and Chanting Tatum, uh Braveheart, Rides Maids, Challengers, Fast and Furious Six and Furious Seven, Ford and F Ford V Ferrari, uh, Forrest Gump, Fury, Hall Pass, Hellboy, and Hellboy 2, the Golden Army, Holes, The Hunt for Red October, iRobot, Jumanji, Welcome to the Jungle, Just Go With It, Kick Ass, Knives Out, Lone Survivor, Mamma Mia, and Mamma Mia. Here we go again, coming to Peacock as well, Man on Fire, The Mask, Men in Black, 1, 2, and 3, and Men in Black International, Mission Impossible, Nobody, Oceans 11, 12, and 13, The Patriot, The Prestige, Pretty Women, Woman, there's only one, pretty woman, uh, The Punisher, Red, and Red 2, Role Models, one of my favorite comedy movies of all time, and maybe favorite movies of all time, period. 7, The Shallows, Straight Out of Compton, one of my favorite music biopics ever. Titanic, Tropic Thunder, Twister, Van Helsing, We Were Soldiers, and Wet Hot American Summer. On July 2nd, Black Bag, the Michael Fassbender and Rebecca Ferguson uh crime thriller espionage movie comes out. On July 9th, a new Peacock original series, the Five Star Weekend. This is based on Ellen Hildebrand's novel. It stars Jennifer Garner as a woman whose husband recently died, and she decides to get her friends from different stages of life together. So it also stars Regina Hall, Darcy Cardin, Chloe Saviney, um, and Gemma Chan is in it as well. Um, and it looks kind of heartbreaking. I didn't get many comedy vibes from the trailer. It looks like it is more a drama. So, uh, and then Love Hurts with Kihi Kwan, I and Ariana DeBose. This just got awful reviews. Now it's coming to streaming. I'll probably check it out at some time. On July 10th, the latest Colleen Hoover novel adaptation, Reminders of Him, comes out. And then on July 12th, season 20 of Married at First Sight premieres. Uh, this is not a reality series that I have watched, but I have heard is absolutely wild. Maybe when Love Island ends, it'll be time to check that out. Actually, I'll probably take a break from reality TV for a while. Need to have a hard reset there. Okay, time for our last streamer, Paramount Plus. On July 1st, an officer and a gentleman, Deepwater Horizon, Everybody Wants Some, which is an underrated comedy with Glenn Powell, Glory, Good Boys, Grease 2, Hacksaw Ridge, Road Trip, Super 8, The Expendables, the whole movie series, uh, The Island, the 2005 version of The Longest Yard, which I actually really enjoy. Burt Reynolds, Adam Sandler, a lot of fun. The Ring and The Ring 2, The Sum of All Fears, The Untouchables, Tremors, and Triple X. If you need some ridiculous Vend Diesel action in your life, which you do. Trust me, you do. On July 8th, uh, the Dane DeHon movie War Driver is making its streaming debut. This looks intriguing. I'm a Dane De Hahn fan. Excited. It also has Sasha Cali, who played Supergirl in the pretty awful The Flash movie. And then on July 14th, Paramount Plus original documentary, The Real Wolf of Wall Street, which dives into the real Jordan Belfort that the movie was based on, uh, because apparently there is a lot the movie left out. Watch the trailer. I am intrigued, and we'll definitely be checking this out. Now it's coming to theaters. Not a ton to note this month. On July 3rd, there's really only one movie releasing, and that's Young Washington. And I don't know what to think about this. It's from Angel, which does more like family entertainment. They do a lot of faith-based films as well. Um, but it stars, it has Ben Kingsley in it, Andy Circus, Kelsey Grammar, Mary Louise Parker. Um, it's about young George Washington. They're marketing it hard as for the 250th anniversary of our country on Independence Day weekend. I I don't know. This trailer didn't intrigue me, despite the talent in it. It looks not great, but it's the only movie releasing on the third, which I'm kind of shocked. I'm kind of shocked there's not more opening in theaters this weekend. On July 10th, the comedy movie, The Invite with Seth Rogan, Olivia Wilde, Penelope Cruz, and Edward Norton comes out, which I've been hearing great things and looks very good. You also have Evil Dead Burn, which I mentioned earlier. This one, I've seen some different things about it. Uh, it is more of a sequel to Rise, but it's got some completely different characters in it. Uh, supposedly it's going to kind of tie together the older and the newer films. We'll see. Also, on July 10th, the live action Moana comes out, which I don't know how I feel about it. I'm excited to hear some of the songs again. Um, who stars in it hat seems like she has a great voice. I'm not excited to see the rocks Maui in live action. It looks weird uh from the trailers, anyways. But again, this is a movie for kids. I'm not the target audience, I'm not the main demographic they're trying to hit. Kids will probably love it, and that's really all that matters. And they'll keep making money on these. And then finally, on the 10th is Gail Dantry and the celebrity sex pass. This stars Zoe Deutsch. She plays Gail, who uh catches her fiance using his celebrity sex pass, and so she decides to travel to Hollywood to try to pursue hers and kind of get even with him. Uh, her celebrity sex pass is John Hamm. So she gets a whole crew of people along the way. It looks kind of ridiculous, but should be fun. On July 17th, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey comes out. This is one that I am very excited for. It has been having a ton of backlash online with people not agreeing with the casting, not agreeing with some of the modern language in the trailer, which sure can be a little disconcerting. But guess what? They weren't speaking English back then, and it's made up. Yeah. The Odyssey, not not a real story. It's myths, it's legends. So I trust Christopher Nolan. He's a fantastic director, and so I'm excited for it. And this also starts the three-week run in to close out the month of a movie I want to see each week. Because on July 24th, we're getting our the Hades Town West End Pro Shot released in theaters for only three days, I believe. It's uh well, four maybe. It's Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. So very small run. So you can check that out if you're into that. Uh, you also have Motor City coming out. This stars Alan Richson in a very bad-looking wig for the first part of it. He plays a man who is framed by a gangster who wants to steal his girl, and then he plots his revenge. It's supposed to be over-the-top violence and IFC films, set in the 70s, so looks intriguing. I like Alan Richson, but man, him that watch the trailer and look at his wig and try to tell me that's not distracting. On July 31st, uh, we have two things. Uh, we have I Want Your Sex, which stars Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman, as well as David Diggs and Johnny Knoxville. Uh, Cooper Hoffman plays Elliot. Olivia Wilde plays his boss, who is using him as like her sexual muse and sex slave. It looks ridiculous over the top. Johnny Knoxville plays a detective, so it looks like there's some foul play that happens in it from the trailer. I'm intrigued by this. This will probably not be a theater watch for me. This will be once it's out on streaming. But the other thing I'm very excited about is Spider-Man brand new day. I feel like this looks like something completely different than the other Spider-Man movies that we've got. We're getting Spider-Man going through some mutations. And I like Tom Holland's Spider-Man a lot. It does look like we're gonna have a lot of characters packed in this, so I hope it doesn't feel too bogged down like the original Spider-Man 3 did, or even Spider-Uh, the amazing Spider-Man 2 a little bit. But we've got Ed not Edward Norton, we have Mark Ruffalo's Hulk in it. Uh Sadie Sink is playing a character. Lots of people are speculating who she's gonna be. Uh John Bernthal's Frank Castle, the Punisher is back in it, and we've got the hand in it. There's a lot going on in the trailer. Uh Michael Mando's Scorpion's back. I'm intrigued. I'm excited to check it out. We'll see what happens. So I might just go to a movie the 17th, 24th, and 31st, knock out those three movies to close out the month. I haven't been to a movie in probably close to eight months, so it probably won't happen, but we'll see. And that's gonna do it. That's everything really that I wanted to highlight that's coming to streaming in theaters this month. We've got a lot coming. You're not gonna be at a loss for things to watch.
