Charitable Travel's TIPs: Discover Queensland, Australia
Show Notes

Take a 30-minute long-haul holiday and visit Queensland, Australia in this episode of Charitable Travel's TIPs! Join us as we speak to Kate Duffy of Tourism and Events Queensland, and Johnny Gaskell a marine biologist and master reef guide, for an insider's guide to this tropical region and all it has to offer.

While Queensland is home to some inspirational cities such as Brisbane and Cairns it also has a staggering 4,000 miles of coastline, off which lies its most famous landmark, the Great Barrier Reef, the world's largest coral reef.

To the south of the state, you'll find the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast where surfers flock to the sandy beaches. Travel further north and you'll cross the tropic of Capricorn before reaching the Daintree rainforest, the oldest living rainforest in the world. While that glorious coastline has a habit of dominating things, venture inland and you'll find ancient landscapes, remote, gorgeous, and national parks teaming with wildlife.
