     Dr. Amy Godfrey shares her insight and research to discuss the current economic effect of Covid-19. 
     Dr. Godfrey is an Associate Professor of Economics at Fairmont State University having received her bachelor's, master's and PhD with specialization in Financial, Public, and Regional economics from West Virginia University.
     Her research has focused on economic impact and cost of living analysis as well as tax policy changes and public education financing which has included time spent on former West Virginia Governor Manchin’s Tax Modernization team and as a consultant to the WV Legislature’s subcommittee on K-12 education finance. 
     She has numerous publications and presentations including a paper on the effects of childhood obesity on student achievement in Public Finance Review and a presentation at the American Economic Association’s annual conference.
