In the last nine months, you will have seen a lot of changes in the housebuilding industry. At the start of this year, we saw rising mortgage rates dominate the headlines with both fixed rates and variable deals becoming more expensive and as a result, the housebuilding industry saw a slight decline in first-time buyers, and a shift towards second-stepper, ‘right sizers’ and downsizers.
