Starting the story of Nomad Cruise and Nomadbase - with Johannes Voelkner
Jul 29, 2022
Matthieu Zeilas

Today’s episode is about Johannes Voelkner, a German slowmad, passionated by kitesurf, who traveled in over +50 countries while working remotely. After his numerous trips, Johannes launched a worldwide destination guide for digital nomads then one of the biggest Facebook nomad group - today cumulating over +60K members until ending up creating the nomad cruise, that 1500 digital nomads have already joined. After the cruise ship company bankruptcy during Covid-19, he then started the first international business & travel club for digital nomads named Nomad Base to connect like-minded nomads during physical events in beautiful places around the world. As a great inspiration for the whole digital nomads community, Johannes will share how he started from scratch his journey with his vision, but also his failures and how he did switch his entire model during Covid-19 to keep supporting what he loves the most: the digital nomads lifestyle.
