There are many levels of consciousness and to understand the nature of consciousness means to know pure consciousness. Consciousness can be explained as the conscious analytical thinking and the subconscious conditioned thought pattern, but the true essence of consciousness is pure consciousness.
We can intellectually study the conscious and the subconscious through logic, analytics and observation but pure consciousness is beyond the analytical or intellectual understanding.
