What if your biggest breakdown is actually the beginning of your breakthrough?
In this special episode, I share the deeply personal story behind Together We Seek—how a painful season in 2016 cracked me open, and led me to a journey of seeking: healing, truth, energy work, and soul remembrance. I didn’t have a roadmap—just intuition, trial and error, and a strong desire to understand who I was beyond the roles I played.
From my first unexpected healing class to writing my third book Seeking, I began connecting with energy practitioners, mediums, and mystics who helped me rediscover my light. This podcast was born as a way to share their wisdom—and build a trusted, sacred space for other seekers to explore their own path.
In this episode:
- My personal turning point that changed everything
- How I began finding and working with trusted spiritual guides
- Why I created a podcast and community for seekers like you
- How you can join us in remembering your light, your purpose, and your power
If you’re navigating a transition or longing for deeper alignment, this is your invitation to explore what’s calling you forward.
We’re walking this path together—because no one is meant to seek alone. 💫

Crossroads to Enlightenment — Why I Started Together We Seek
00:11 - JJ DiGeronimo (Host)
I am so honored you're here with me today. It's so exciting to spend this time with you. I honestly didn't think I was going to end up here with all of you on this podcast, but I would say that my own crossroads, my own seeking, my own power card moment has brought me here with you. Back in 16, I kind of had everything in the same month just fall apart. I had home work with my larger family and I found myself sitting in my couch which I rarely do on a Monday going where am I going to go from here? What am I going to do? I'm sure some of you have been there before. Some of you have had these moments where you're like now what? What do I do now when my mom not taking me to Lilydale in my early teens just to walk the property and sit on the assembly stumps?
01:08
I don't think I would have turned to a healing center that day. Honestly, I didn't know what else to do. I felt so alone and I felt like all the things I knew were not so, and so I went online to the few healing centers, metaphysical spots in and around Cleveland, and I was lucky to find a six o'clock class. I, of course, did not register because it was already four. I didn't even know if I really wanted to go. But I basically put my shoes on at five o'clock and started driving in that direction, when I kept telling myself you can make a decision when you get in the parking lot, you don't have to decide right now. But I think my soul knew I needed something more. What I created at that point was good for then, but it wasn't going to help me moving forward. I really needed something because I was cracking in ways that I didn't even expect to crack. Things were happening in my marriage, things were happening in my job and I just felt like, oh my God, when am I going to hold myself together? So when I got to the parking lot, I sat there for some time and then I said I'm just going to open the door. I'm just going to open the door and maybe I'm going to go check out the flowers inside of the parking lot. So I shut the door and walked over to the flowers and then I realized you know what, jj? You need to go inside. You need to do this for yourself. If you don't help yourself, who is going to help you?
02:56
So I got myself through the door and up the stairs and down the long hall. It used to be a nunnery, this place, so there was a lot of wood paneling and a lot of statues and stained glass. And last door, on the right, I walked in and it was dark and there was only five people in the room and all of them had signed in. Of course I didn't register, so I didn't need to sign in because I wasn't supposed to be there, or was I? I found my seat and it was quickly apparent to the teacher that, one, she didn't know me and two, there were more people registered. There were more people in the room than registered. She was sweet, but she's like um, excuse me, you're not registered. And I remember I didn't even have the strength to make eye contact with her. I said, yes, I'm sorry, I just really need to be here right now. And she was so kind and she invited me to stay in the class and even encouraged me to do a one-on-one session with her later in that week, which I took her up on, her invite.
04:12
But I have to say that I didn't really know where else to turn. I didn't have a list. I did not have a list of practitioners didn't have a list. I did not have a list of practitioners. I didn't have a Lilydale or an Omega close by and, frankly, it wasn't really a place that I could easily connect with and, frankly, it wasn't really a thing that many people did here was turn to practitioners or healers and mystics. I didn't know what else to do and that's what I was taught when I was younger. So I went with it and I muddled my way through finding different practitioners and different practices and, as you can see in my book Seeking, I have visited hundreds of people and while I was writing that book, I thought I needed to bring some of these practitioners to life for you. So I reached out to different ones that I had worked with and asked if I could have an interview with them and interview them about how they got on their path and what their seeking journey looked like and what gifts were brought forward for them.
05:26
I didn't start this podcast because I needed it to reach a certain level or get to so many people. I was doing it as an asset or a subset to the book seeking. I wanted you to hear the people that I had worked with. I wanted you to feel their energy and understand that their gifts have emerged.
05:46
Too Many of them have been in corporate. Many of them may have been stay-at-home moms that worked off the side of their desk. They're people just like you and I, and they also received a whisper. They also received guidance. They've also been involved in situations that they never thought they were going to get out of, from accidents to medical news, things that doctors told them they would never, ever rehabilitate again, and this is why we create this podcast, one for you to really see that all of us are seeking.
06:28
We all have crossroads, some big, some small. We question our existence, we question our work, and we often have to dig deep, and oftentimes, many of us have worked with other people non-therapists or consultants or psychologists. We've worked with different ancient wisdom keepers and healers and mystics to help us really sidestep our self-doubt, sidestep the fear, dust off gifts and even leave behind old stories or old relationships that aren't really allowing us to step into the fullest convention of ourselves here as a human right now. The most magical things have come from these discussions. Not only have I found amazing practitioners, healers, mystics, friends, soul seekers, but I've been able to share them with all of you, and I encourage you to go back and listen to different episodes that call you different types of modalities, different types of stories. There's lessons and gifts, and practitioners and all of the people that I interview, and the most beautiful thing that's come of this is that monthly I host an event for all the podcast guests. They can meet each other, and I've put a community together called togetherweseekonline, where many of them post profiles and retreats and different offerings and you can post books you're reading and maybe even at those physical stores you're visiting and events that you're participating in. Because this online community goes well beyond me that you can access people from wherever you are on the planet. That you can access people from wherever you are on the planet.
08:27
I feel lucky enough to have visited many spiritual locations throughout the years, but many days I sit in my desk or I am on my computer and I want to access people, practices and frequencies that are hard to just find on Google searches, and this is the beauty of Together we Seek. Together we Seek is all of us seeking, all of us connecting and working with each other to really create a beautiful community with high frequency souls that are here to raise the frequency of each other and themselves so that we can have an amazing human experience of sharing, loving, connecting and guiding. So we are not alone on this path, and whether you are a practitioner or a seeker, there is something here for you. Creating spaces you wish you had, wherever you are in your work is such a beautiful thing because it really creates a community of connections, and I just want to remind you that, whether you're just starting out or you're a seasoned healer, there's something for you here, and I encourage you to lean in and trust the timing and explore what is calling you forward. Practitioners, if my work can benefit you and any of the practitioners that I've connected with and shared with wonderful conversations can guide you on your journey, I hope you are open to exploring these possibilities and if you are at a crossroads, let me assure you that this is happening for you.
10:23
Any crossroads I've been at to date is because the universe wants me to shift up or shift out of where I've been, and I feel like sometimes I can do it on my own, but many times I need some assistance to remember my gifts, to remember my power and skill sets and energy that I may be overlooking. So I'm so honored that you're with me. I love this time we have together. I love this time we have together. I am so honored of all the practitioners that come my way and I am grateful that it's not just this podcast that we are cultivating here. We have ways to connect online, share your work. We have ways to connect in a community, and you can even take this on the road with you or pick up a book seeking and in that I'm an appendix of all the resources I used to get me through my shift, to get me in the other side of that crossroads, because so many of us try to do it alone and we're really supposed to leverage, lean on and connect in with other souls here around us to help us.
11:42
So I'd love to hear who you're working with as a practitioner, what places you've visited, what groups are lighting you up and maybe even what metaphysical stores you visit. You can join me inside my community, togetherweseekonline, where I share different posts. I can relate different posts like really different people and I'm really just looking to keep this energy going every day because I believe that your frequency determines your human experience. So with that, I'm super honored. I'm so honored you joined me here. I look forward to staying connected, and if you're in a position where you can't buy a book right now but you feel like you really need it, send me a dm. I'd love to send you one if you think that it will help you on your journey. I would be honored to share with you my best practices and my workbook approach to getting myself out of the crossroads and into a more illuminated path. So with that I'm signing off and I am sending you so much light and so much gratitude for joining me here. Thank you and have a great week.
