Interview with Rick Sanders, candidate for Urban Flood Safety & Water Quality District, Position 4
This is a podcast of the League of Women Voters interview with Rick Sanders, who is running for Director, Position 4, for the new Urban Flood Safety and Water Quality District. The district oversees protections for the land in northern Multnomah County along the Columbia River. This new District was created by the Oregon Legislature in 2019 to protect the historic floodplain which had been protected by a combination of inefficient century-old drainage districts, which were no longer able to afford meeting federal safety standards.
