Living The Way of Mastery with Jason Amoroso
Lesson 15: It is between You and Your God
Lesson 15: Love or Fear - The Choice Is Yours
Section 4: Accepting The Resurrection For Yourself
Paragraphs: 13-18
What if you could transform every moment of fear into an opportunity for love? Explore with me, as we navigate the profound choice between love and fear, unraveling how daily encounters—like being stuck in traffic—can become catalysts for expanding consciousness and compassion. Through the powerful symbolism of the crucifixion, we delve into recognizing signs and synchronicities that guide us to a deeper understanding of ourselves, challenging the world's limited perspectives and embracing a higher consciousness.
Join us in embracing the radical power of unconditional love. We'll journey through the spiritual message of transcending the physical world, recognizing our true identity beyond the constraints of the body. By living as unstoppable forces of love, we reject narratives of helplessness, seizing endless opportunities to extend kindness and compassion. This episode is a call to transform our mindset from one of mere survival to a thriving existence grounded in creativity and loving presence.
As we confront life's challenges, we recognize that external circumstances hold no true power over us. Together, we'll explore the metaphor of crucifixion as a symbol of overcoming fear, emphasizing the importance of choosing love consistently. This choice leads to radical freedom, even amidst chaos, and aligns us with our true purpose.

Hello and welcome back to Living the Way of Mastery. I am Jason Amoroso, your guide and friend and fellow student on the journey. And today we continue with Lesson 15, love or Fear. The choice is yours. Can't say it enough If that's the only thing you asked yourself and paid attention to each day, it would change your life.
Speaker 1:Where, right now? Where are you in fear? It would change your life? Where, right now? Where are you in fear? Where are you worried? Where are you anxious? Where are you feeling doubtful? Where are you feeling closed? Where are you feeling contracted? Where are you feeling lack and scarcity, that there's limitation in your life versus possibility and expansion and opportunity? Right, where are you feeling fear? Where are you judging another? Where are you judging yourself, judging your body, judging your journey?
Speaker 1:That's fear, all forms of fear, and it's a choice to focus on that as well. As what does it feel like and look like? To choose love, to choose compassion, to choose kindness, to choose forgiveness, to choose patience for yourself and your journey or patience for someone else's journey. Oh, I'm right, they're wrong. When are they going to get on board and think the way I think? When are they going to change? Choosing love and patience is love, choosing joy, choosing playfulness. Above all, god thinks playfully. That's a line from the Way of Master. Above all, god thinks playfully. So where are you choosing fear? And where would you like to choose love and all the forms of love? The choice is yours. That's the good news. The choice is yours, it's not anyone else's. It might be a challenging choice for you. It might not. You might be in the habit of choosing fear, but that doesn't mean in any moment you can't make a different choice. You can't choose to see something differently. Traffic I hate traffic. It's in my way. It's an inconvenience. People are selfish. It's slowing me down. How could you choose love in traffic, in your relationship to traffic? And, by the way, maybe slowing you down is the best thing that you actually need. Maybe somebody cutting you off and you getting triggered is the best thing you need to learn forgiveness, to learn compassion for yourself, to trust your process, to have more grace for yourself and others. All right off the soapbox.
Speaker 1:We are diving back into the final section of this lesson, section four accepting the resurrection for yourself, where Jeshua was talking about Easter in this section and saying hey, easter is not really about me. Yes, you celebrated about me I was crucified, I died, I rose again, and what that means. But it's not about me. It celebrated about me I was crucified, I died, I rose again, and what that means. But it's not about me. It's about you, and let's look at the symbolism of the crucifixion and apply it in your life. That's where you will experience transformation. That's what he wants for us. That's what we want for ourselves to experience at a deep level of knowing and being transformation. To experience at a deep level of knowing and being transformation, a remembrance of who we really are, not this part of us that just placates to the ego, the fear, the victim identity, that we're powerless, that we're weak, that we're helpless, that we're missing something, that we need something God, jesus, the world, money, health, approval to save us. I got to feel heard and validated. Then I can feel good about myself. Nonsense, nonsense. You are being given the opportunity. You're choosing the opportunity because you're listening to a podcast about this teaching to wake yourself up, to allow all of these messages and all the synchronicities in your life which there are an infinite number of synchronicities If you slow down. Get out of the noise of the world of social media, of your to-do lists and obligations and thoughts and just slow down and listen and pay attention and look around, you'll see that the signs and the messages are everywhere in the natural world, in the synchronicities, in an ad on the radio, in a random reel you're scrolling through on TikTok or Instagram, in a scene in a Netflix show, in wherever, in a sign, a billboard on the road. The signs and symbols are everywhere If you're willing to look for them and hear them and you're ready for them.
Speaker 1:And today we are diving into paragraph 13, where Jeshua is continuing with this symbolism of the nails of the crucifixion. He says the world will seek to nail you down to earth by insisting that you think with it. For remember always that the world not the earth, but the world, in italics, the world of human experience is the attempt to create that which is the opposite of reality, like many who would gather together to take a drug and think that their insanity is the same as the bliss and ecstasy of union with God. Yet they would not dare drive an automobile, cannot think a coherent thought and do not even remember where they are. Remember where they are.
Speaker 1:And again, I love the synchronicity of life. It's all connected, it's all one. There's angels, there's higher beings, or beings that we can't see, of higher consciousness, of this tiny mad idea of feeling separate and a body and this personality that bring us, that are connected, that bring us the synchronicities, that bring us stuff at the perfect time. And so today, reading this specific line that the world will seek to nail you down to earth, that insisting that you think with it, it's the matrix. It wants to keep you with everything and everyone else. It wants to keep you small. It doesn't want to let you break free. Right? It's like the analogy I used, I think, in the last episode, was the crabs in a pot. If one crab tries to crawl, climb out of the pot, the other crabs will conspire to grab that crab that's trying to get free and bring it back down.
Speaker 1:Peer pressure group think years. It feels like, as this whole way of thinking has just intensified with cancel culture on all sides, and we're canceling you. You don't think like us canceling you. We've seen it in the election cycle in politics again, on both sides. I'm just trying to use an example where people who previously agreed with or aligned with or identified more in the liberal or the left side of things that when they started to maybe get curious and maybe align or think or agree a little more with more conservative values, would get ostracized by family members, by friends. People would eliminate relationships they've had for decades, and vice versa, on the other side as well. So back to synchronicities.
Speaker 1:When I'm reading this section, I open up my instagram and there's a beautiful post from africa brooke. Africa brooke have been following her for probably three or four years now and she talks about the courage to speak up in your truth and what you feel your values are, and risking cancel culture. And I'm just going to read here her post that I read. There's an image and then there is her text. So the image says how will you break free from the cage if you're too afraid to rattle it? How will you break free from the cage if you're too afraid to rattle it? How will you break free from the cage if you're too afraid to rattle it? And she writes like freedom, while quietly surrendering my voice, my expression and even my creativity to an invisible mob who I had made more important than my integrity.
Speaker 1:Although you wouldn't have been able to tell, I was censoring myself to avoid the sting of cancel culture, I was effing scared of stepping out of line. I dimmed the light on my worldview, squashed my ideas to fit what was expected of me and traded authenticity, perhaps popularity, for the illusion of safety. These words landed in my heart today, because I know so many people feel this way, but are still too afraid to say enough is enough. Fear convinced me that crossing my own boundaries was made me a good person and that it was the only means of survival. But the truth was I had simply forgotten that the door to the cage was already open. I was free then. I've always been, I always will be, but it took some cage rattling to remember. Here's another question I wrote in my journal in late 2020. I'll leave it with you. Will I keep polishing the bars of my cage or will I finally step outside the door that's already open?
Speaker 1:Bam, let's remove those nails, baby, step out and live your truth, speak your truth. It might rattle the cages of people who are asleep, of people who are still afraid, but forgive them, lord. They know not what they do. People who are asleep, of people who are still afraid, but forgive them, lord. They know not what they do. People who are asleep don't know they're asleep. People who are afraid usually won't admit that they're afraid. They don't want to feel the fear. And so it is your opportunity, your gift, to step forward. And it takes courage, because it feels risky, to take courage to step forward in your truth, to remove the nails and say this is who I am, this is what I want to be.
Speaker 1:About Consequences of the world be damned. I no longer want to compromise my integrity, my truth, and play small and play safe and not be loving, not be forgiving, not be kind because of what other people might think about me, not take the risk because of how other people might judge me. The world will seek to nail you down to earth by insisting you think with it. Remember always that the world not the earth, not planet earth, not nature, not planet earth that has a consciousness itself, but the world, the human world of human experience, is the attempt to create that which is the opposite of reality.
Speaker 1:And then Jeshua gives an example like many who would gather together to take a drug and think that their insanity while they're on the drug is the same as the bliss and ecstasy of union with God, yet while they're on this drug, as a group, enjoying this blissful experience, thinking that it's the same as the bliss and ecstasy of union with God. While they're on this drug, they wouldn't drive an automobile. They can't think a coherent thought, they don't know where they are. It's an insane idea. And so it's just another metaphor of people who are asleep and it's not their fault. They haven't yet heard or answered the call to wake up. It's not a judgment. We've all been there, we've all been asleep and in some ways maybe we are still asleep to certain things and we'll begin to wake up. We'll desire waking up, we'll desire the truth when we are ready for it, but that doesn't mean the world has to be ready. It feels safer when other people do it with us, but that's not always how it goes. Our journey is our journey, and Jeshua talks about this right here in the next few lines. Sometimes it's a lonely journey, and what I love about these next couple paragraphs is specifically in this next paragraph it becomes so clear that Jeshua now is talking about his crucifixion experience firsthand. This is what I felt, this is what I was going through, so let's dive in. He says Now you turn your eyes from the roar and the din of the world.
Speaker 1:You see the soldiers, your persecutors, totally unconscious, totally conformed to the authority of the world. You see the soldiers, your persecutors, totally unconscious, totally conformed to the authority of the world, so that they have donned the armor, the headpieces, the footwear and carry the spears of a God made as a substitute for love. You look out upon the fearful crowd. You see some friends who still see your soul, your Christ-mindedness, and continue to love you. Yet even they are veiled by their belief that death and loss are possible.
Speaker 1:So you are in italics. You are completely alone. No one is going to save you, no one is going to rescue you. It is between you and your God. It is a decision that you must make to be determined to choose only what is real, regardless of what the eyes seem to show you and what every mind around you seems to believe, even those who professed belief in your message of love. For they look upon the body and an old belief takes hold. Quote the body is what is real after all. Look at this it is nailed to a cross. This is limitation. This proves that the world's thinking is true, end quote. And so you must lift your eyes from the world that you think you see and choose to accept reality. Father, into thy hands. I commend my spirit. How beautiful.
Speaker 1:I've shared this before that. I think the original Bible verse, at least maybe in the King James version I don't know the versions, I'm not a scholar, I haven't really studied it, so caveat but I believe from my memory and just my recollection, that it says oh God, why have you forsaken me, why have you abandoned me while I'm here getting killed on the cross? And I think I've read that the Aramaic, original Aramaic, before they translated. It was oh God, for this was I born, for this was I born. For this purpose was I born To be the light, to make this beautiful demonstration that anyone with eyes who wants to see cannot ignore, that I am not the body, that you are not the body, that the body is not real, that I am eternal, that love has no opposite, that love cannot be conquered and conquers all, that. It is the only power. This was why I was born, this demonstration here. So let us go back to the text. It's so beautiful.
Speaker 1:Now you turn your eyes from the roar and the din of the world, from all the noise that's happening in the world, and you see the soldiers, your persecutors. They're totally unconscious. They don't know what they're doing, they're just following orders. It's not my fault, I'm just following orders, right? Isn't that what the Nazi soldiers said? It's not my fault, just'm just following orders, right? Isn't that what the Nazi soldiers said? It's not my fault, just following orders. They're totally unconscious, and Jeshua forgives them anyway. He has every right to be the victim to the people who are murdering him. And yet he says forgive them, lord. They know not what they do and, in truth, they're not really doing anything to me, because this is not what I am, this body, and I'm not confused about that.
Speaker 1:I'm very clear. I'm not the body. I'm very clear that these soldiers, these, this regime, can't touch me. My soul, my spirit, that's what I am, even if everyone that's watching me my body get crucified and they're feeling awful and they're feeling, oh, my God, they're killing Jeshua, they're killing our brother, they're killing the son of God. No, they cannot kill the son of God, they cannot kill you, they cannot kill me, they cannot kill that which is eternal. Don't you see that this life here, there's so much more waiting for you. Life here, there's so much more waiting for you If we can get out of this myopic focus that we are the body, that we're here to just survive for, if we're lucky, 75 to 85 years before we leave the body, that's it. We're in survival mode.
Speaker 1:You are here to be this unstoppable force of love in every moment in the car, in traffic, when someone cuts you off, when you're paying your bills, if the IRS is auditing you, if you're broke and bankrupt, if you're homeless in the streets, if you have more money than anyone could spend in a lifetime, if you've just cured cancer, if you feel like no one knows your name, no one cares about you and you live alone in some shanty out in the woods, it doesn't matter. You can be the presence of love. You can create, you can extend love, even if it's through your thoughts. Send love to the world. You don't need to be around another human being, don't? You see? This is why you exist. You are here to extend that which you are the good, the holy and the beautiful. There is no real excuse, because any moment is an opportunity to hold a loving thought in mind about someone or something. You could literally do that all day long. This is why you exist.
Speaker 1:Own who you are. Step into that powerful truth. Stop telling yourself the story that you're helpless and small and weak, or that things happened to you when you were a child. So this is that. So you're not. Your life didn't turn out the way that you wanted and you can't do the things that your heart desires. It is sorry, nonsense. It's nonsense. No one said the way. Well, the way is easy and without effort. Jetra says the way is easy and without effort. It doesn't always feel easy, though. Let's just acknowledge that. But the truth is still the truth always, which is who you are. But the truth is still the truth always, which is who you are.
Speaker 1:Even if there seem to be soldiers persecuting you, who are totally unconscious, totally conformed to the authority of the world, they've given authority to the world. Look at how many people have given authority away to the church, to the government, to their boss, to the mighty dollar. Look at how many people have given authority away to someone else Mommy, daddy, tell me what to do, keep me safe. How many people have just given their rights away? They're God-given. You are a God-given, sovereign being. No one owns you, no one has authority over you. But how many people have just given that away without even realizing it?
Speaker 1:The more we wake up, the more radical it is to the world. That's why they killed Jeshua. That's why they kill. That's why they try and kill the radicals, the Martin Luther King Jrs, the Gandhis, the JFKs, the Joan of Arks. That's why they try and kill them and they kill their body, but obviously they don't kill them.
Speaker 1:Their message, their legacy, their love is real. It's true, it reverberates, it just grows. I guess what do they become martyrs? Is that what a martyr is? It just grows. They cannot die. The idea, the thought does not die, it just expands. But that's what they try and do. They try and make you afraid of speaking your truth. If you speak your truth, if you speak the truth, we'll kill you. But the more an enlightened, awakened being realizes who they are, they are not afraid of bodily death. You can't silence the truth. This is what Jeshua is speaking to.
Speaker 1:So it's okay if those have totally conformed to the authority of the world, so that they don the symbols of the world, in this case the armor, the headpiece, the footwear. They carry, the spears of a God made as a substitute for love. Fear A God, a controlling God, a vengeful, judgmental God, that's a substitute for love. Killing is a substitute for love. Forgive them, lord. They know not what they do and they cannot touch who I am, who you are. I am, the I am, that I am, not this ego, personality, small self identity.
Speaker 1:He says you look out upon the fearful crowd. You look out upon the fearful crowd. You see some friends who still see your soul. They see your soul, your Christ-mindedness, and they continue to love you. Yet even they are veiled by their belief that death and loss are possible. So you're completely alone. No one's going to save you, no one's going to rescue you. It's between you and your God. This is your moment and it's beautiful.
Speaker 1:So, even though Jeshua's disciples his friends, they loved him, they were still feeling sorry for him. They were still feeling a loss inside of themselves. They were still veiled by their belief that death and loss are possible. Meanwhile, jesus is on the cross. I'm not saying he was smiling, but he was beaming the truth in love, but he was beaming the truth in love. Oh, my goodness, this, this God, is why I was made. This is why I'm here To show, to demonstrate that they can do whatever they want to the body, but they can't touch me and I am love and you are love and all things are possible in God. Let's fucking go.
Speaker 1:Where in your life does it feel like someone or something? The system, capitalism, your age? What do you feel like you're at the mercy of? What do you feel like is trying to crucify you? Your past, your ex? Who do you feel like is trying to crucify you? What situation is trying to crucify you? Who do you feel like is trying to crucify you? What situation is trying to crucify you? Can you start to see it as this metaphor, this symbolism? It has no power over you, it cannot touch you.
Speaker 1:Even if a part of you is afraid and seems like it, you reside and return to the part of you the truth, your heart, your soul, your spirit that is untainted, untouchable, invincible. And you always have the choice to choose love over fear. Rise up into the truth and if you forget who you are, join the club. We all forget. It's the human experience. We've forgotten who we are, and so we are waking up over and over and over again, choosing love over fear. Every time we make a choice for love, we are waking up more and more into the reality of who and what we are.
Speaker 1:We all want smooth sailing, no problems. That's what we're all like. We've been programmed to kind of look for. Let's have a smooth life with no issues, and then I'll be loving, then I'll be kind, then I'll be generous. When I have all the money, then I'll be generous. Oh really, can you be kind in the face of judgment and persecution? Can you be generous in the face of not having any dollars? But can you be generous in your love and your time and how you see someone that's generous? Can you be the presence of love when the circumstances of your life aren't convenient or the way you want them to be?
Speaker 1:This is not a convenient teaching, but this is where your freedom resides. This is when you are like, oh, I'm invincible, oh, nothing can stop me from choosing love, even if everyone in my life is so in fear that the world is burning, that the wrong person got elected, that the money's not there, everyone else is in fear. I'm choosing to reside in love. That's radical. Then you're free, no matter what this outer circumstance. Then you're free, you're free, you're free, you're free. And it won't make sense to anyone else and they might be afraid of you, they might think you're crazy and they might call you crazy, unrealistic Pollyanna, head in the clouds, but you are just being the presence of love. They might call you bypassing, but you are being the presence of love. Then you're free.
Speaker 1:This is the message of the crucifixion, this is the gift of this experience. So you might be completely alone in your world, especially where you're listening to this voice recording this podcast right now that no one is going to save you, that no one can save you, no one's going to rescue you. It's between you and your God. So this is the beautiful part, this is the let's go. Let's go. You can do it. I got your back. Jeshua is your back, but you got to be the one to do it. It's a decision that you must make to be determined to choose. It's your choice. No one can make it.
Speaker 1:For you to choose only what is real, regardless of what the eyes, your eyes, seem to show you and what every mind around you seems to believe. Even those who profess belief in your message of love that's powerful. Even the disciples, even Jeshua's followers, were like yes, we believe you, we follow you, we want to be like you. But when the shit hits the fan and you're getting crucified, they're like well, you're still getting killed. I don't want to be crucified. I believe, but I don't want to die.
Speaker 1:That's the limitation. Are you willing to be determined to choose love even in the midst of that, that fear, that final fear? For they look upon the body and an old belief takes hold the body is what is real, after all. Look at this. It's nailed to the cross. Look, they took the son of God. This is Jeshua. They took the son of God and they nailed to the cross. Yes, we believe you, jesus, but there is a limitation. Look, you're dying, you're bleeding out. So this proves that the world is thinking is true, I believe.
Speaker 1:To a certain point, I want to believe, but once you get killed, once you get assassinated, once you get murdered, disemboweled, hung, crucified, that's where I draw the line. And so you must lift your eyes from the world that you think you see and choose to accept reality. Father, into thy hands, I commend my spirit, I am yours. It's the ultimate act of faith, it's the ultimate act of love, so beautiful, and he says there's nothing more than the choice for sanity in the midst of all conditions. Father, into thy hands, I commend my spirit, I surrender to you. Use me, I am here. I am yours. This is the only thing that is real.
Speaker 1:All the efforting, all the striving, all the things I've tried to get in the world, both the material things to the emotional validation and safety and security I've tried to find in my parents or my soulmate, or the money or the health or whatever I've tried to get in this world, has never let's just be honest has never fulfilled me. It doesn't work. It might last for a very brief moment. Nothing of the world can fulfill me. My surrender into you, my acceptance of you as my reality, love or fear, the choice is yours. When you choose love, over and over and over again, you are fulfilling your purpose and nothing can stop you from choosing love. You are fulfilling your purpose and nothing can stop you from choosing love. So again, to apply this before we close, I'm going to beat this thing like a dead horse.
Speaker 1:Look at an area of your life where you are in fear and ask yourself what would it look like to choose love here? And maybe it's a form of love. What would it look like to choose forgiveness here? What would it look like to choose forgiveness here? Did I say that twice? What would it look like to choose forgiveness here. What would it look like to choose forgiveness here? Did I say that twice? What would it look like to choose patience here? What would it look like to choose compassion here? What would it look like to choose joy here? What would it look like to choose courage here and allow your life to be transformed? Open to the question, invite it in, invite the Holy Spirit in to show you what it would look like. I love you guys. Thanks for being on this journey with me. It is a journey.
