Each day I will read a passage from The Way of Mastery and share my commentary on it. The intention is to provide an opportunity to develop a consistent, simple spiritual study practice and grow together.
Living The Way of Mastery with Jason Amoroso
Lesson 16: Forms Keep Getting Created
Lesson 16: The Birth of Egoic Consciousness
Section 6: Fear Has Taken Its Final Form
Paragraph: 6
This episode dives deep into the nature of egoic consciousness, examining how fear shapes our identities and breeds separation from our divine essence. We explore the concept that healing is a journey of remembering our true nature as spirit while reflecting on the playful, cosmic game of life.
• Fear has taken its final form in the process of human experience
• The analogy of milk demonstrates the illusion of separation between individuals and the divine
• Healing is redefined as remembering our spiritual identity
• The body reflects our emotional and spiritual states, calling for holistic healing approaches
• Exploring multiple lifetimes opens a dialogue on identity and our experiences
• Life is seen as a cosmic play, encouraging a shift in perspective on spiritual growth and challenges

Hello and welcome back to Living the Way of Mastery. I'm Jason Amoroso, your guide and friend and fellow student, and today we are going to have some fun. We're going to continue in Lesson 16, the Birth of Egoic Consciousness. Section 6, fear has Taken Its Final Form and I'm just really curious how many people who actually listen to this, uh, have read the way of mastery, have started from the beginning of the podcast, like I'm really curious how you consume this content. Do you use it as a study guide? Do you just kind of listen along? Do you pop in on different episodes? You know, send me an email, hello at Revelation Breathwork dot com. I can't really pull, pull everybody, but send me an email, let me know how you consume this. And I'm just very curious.
Speaker 1:My vision when I first started which, of course, you know, always can shift and change was that this is like a study guide for the way of mastery, which some people, I think might even be listening, not even know what the way of mastery is. It is a book published by the Shanti Christo Foundation and it was originally given as a series of talks that they then turned into a book, and so it is a channeled message teaching of, and so it is a channeled message, teaching of Yeshua ben Joseph or Jesus the Christ. I guess it's Jesus of Joseph, right, jesus son of Joseph or Yeshua son of Joseph. But anyways, let's dive back in. We're going chronologically through the book, lesson 16, the birth of egoic consciousness, and this section five is fear has taken its final form. And we're going to pick up in paragraph at least for me in my version paragraph six, where Jeshua says fear has taken its final form. Now there is a complete forgetting of God, of the one of spirit, of the one of spirit, even of soul. The body represents a level of vibration still quite intelligent, still very in italics, very intelligent. It is like a matrix of energy, the very thought of condensation into human form, out of which forms keep getting created, keep getting created, keep getting created, keep getting created. That's not me glitching out. It says it four times. You have done that for yourself an infinite number of times. So fear. Now, looking at this paragraph. This is what we do in the podcast. We look at the paragraph, we break down the terms and the concepts. Fear has taken its final form. This is it. We made it Fear. This is it Our final form as what we call a human being and there's a complete forgetting of God. That, oh, I am God Again.
Speaker 1:The analogy he uses earlier in this lesson is of the drop of milk when you pour milk in the glass, and if you've seen those commercials of your probably around my age, in your 40s or 50s they would pour the glass of milk and then, as they stopped pouring, the milk would go into the glass and a little drop would kind of like come up and then fall back down. And so the analogy is that the little drop that would pop up, seemingly separate from the rest of the milk, and then gravity would bring it back down and it's just still all milk. It's actually not separate. It's the same thing, just like the analogy we've been using from the very beginning of the wave mastery of oceans and waves. If you remove the word wave, we make up words to define things so we can kind of understand and compartmentalize this experience from a brain, intellectual, cerebral level. But if you take away words and labels, you don't call a wave a wave, you don't call the ocean the wave, you don't call the ocean the ocean, you don't even call it water and you're just looking at it. It's all the same stuff. And what we call a wave is just a unique expression of this thing we call the ocean or water for a moment, and then it passes and it's just back to the same thing. It's all still water, it's all still ocean, but it's a unique expression that pops up in time and ends in time. And that's really what the ego is. It's a beautiful analogy. It's still all the same thing, even though it thinks it's separate.
Speaker 1:The tiny mad idea, the insane idea that you could somehow be outside of all. That is that's what the ego is, and it lives in fear. It lives in lack. Anytime we're feeling fear or lack or judgment, any feeling of separation, of aloneness. Those are all illusions. They're not real. They're illusions. False evidence appearing real. It's one perception. They're illusions. False evidence appearing real. It's one perception.
Speaker 1:And you say well, why would God allow that to happen? Because God is infinite. Nothing real can be threatened. God cannot be threatened. So why would God try and limit itself? No, it's just another expression. It's another perspective, another perception to hold. You know that God is experiencing itself in an infinite number of ways, continually expanding itself and knowing itself and seeing itself and experiencing itself from an infinite number of ways. Why? Simply for the joy of it, the joy of extending the good, the holy and the beautiful.
Speaker 1:So this line in this paragraph makes me think of a line in A Course in Miracles, a phrase called the veil of forgetfulness, that as we incarnate in a body, as we move from identification and spirit into what seemingly is a separate body entity, we pass through the veil of forgetfulness. We forget who we are. We forget that we're soul, that we're spirit, that we're one with it all. That's why A Course in Miracles and the Way of Mastery define healing not as fixing anything that's broken, not repairing something that's been damaged. Healing is simply remembering who you already are. Healing is simply remembering who you've always been, and not even a who, but a what, what you always are, what you've always been, which is pure spirit.
Speaker 1:So Jesher says there's a complete forgetting of God, that you are God, that God is all there is and not the ego. The ego is going to try and hijack what. Do you think? You're God? You're not special. Look what you can't do. You can't create miracles, you're poor, you're this, you're that If you were God, you'd have a six pack abs, or you'd have the love of your life or whatever it is. You wouldn't be an addict if you were God. That's what the ego does to hijack this conversation and this idea. Let's just be true. But there's a complete forgetting of God, of the one of spirit, even of soul, and even is an italics. And what does that mean? It means that you are soul, that you're divinity.
Speaker 1:There's a forgetting of that and that's why a lot of spiritual practices and the way of mastery, many other teachings, are inviting us to shift attention, as Jeshua says, in the way of mastery and in A Course in Miracles. They are the same teaching that it is mind training. This work is mind training. You're shifting your mind, you're shifting your attention from out there to in here. The kingdom of God is within you. Be still and know you can't be still out there. Be still inside and know that I am God in the midst of you, closer than you're breathing, nearer than your hands and feet.
Speaker 1:He says the body represents a level of vibration still quite intelligent, still very intelligent. It is like a matrix of energy. So we talked about this in our episode yesterday, where there is an intelligence in the body, that the body is not some separate thing from us, but it is a part of our consciousness, is an expression of consciousness. So when people are saying, hey, there's wisdom in the body, it's just there's wisdom within your consciousness. When you go within not in consciousness, but when you go within to identifying with the soma, the body like, oh, I've got a pain in my neck, here's a good one, I've got a pain in my neck. And when we're identified with like Western allopathic medicine, we're like, oh well, let me go to the chiropractor and get an adjustment, or let me take a pill, or let me get a drug, or let me get an injection to get rid of this pain in my neck.
Speaker 1:But a mind-body-spirit approach, maybe a more holistic alternative approach, would look at well, what is a pain in your neck? How is this a metaphor, how is this symbolic of a pain in your neck that you're moving through in your life? Oh, my God, my job right now is a big pain in the neck. Right, we say that, but then we don't even realize that we literally have a pain in our neck. Or what is our neck used for? Our neck is used for turning our head. Turn to the right, get one perspective, turn to the left, get another perspective. Maybe that's also a symbol, a metaphor, that your pain in your neck and you can't turn your head to the right is really just an expression of an inner belief or subconscious that it's. I can't have a different perspective. I'm so attached to seeing things one way that it hurts to turn and to look from another perspective. Right, we just are so often entrained and conditioned to think that, oh, the body, what's happening in the body, is just a symptom that needs again. It's like healing, it needs to be fixed or repaired, it's damaged and I got to get it back to optimal, you know, optimal operation, optimal function, which, yes, is great, and we can miss out on so much healing of remembering who we are so much identifying and discovering and uncovering these limiting beliefs, these conditioned thinking that are operating in our subconscious, that are expressing through the body. That's why I love people like Zach Bush.
Speaker 1:I talked about German new medicine in yesterday's episode. The person who was introduced, introduced me to that was Dr Melissa Sell S-E-L-L. There's so many, louise Hay, there's so many healers, facilitators, medicine workers who take this approach of the mind-body-spirit connection. So the body is has intelligence, very, very much intelligence. It's like a matrix of energy, the very thought of condensation into human form, out of which forms keep getting created.
Speaker 1:Right ago in this lesson, jeshua talks how, once that first seeming separation where fear created itself or created, it just multiplied. It just kept subdividing and multiplying and creating more of itself, kind of like cancer, as we talked about yesterday. That was a great analogy that Jeshua uses in yesterday's episode, just a few paragraphs ago. Cancer is merely a misperception, run amok, it's just dividing itself, multiplying itself. It's like the ego. And he says in this paragraph forms keep getting created, keep getting created.
Speaker 1:You have done that for yourself an infinite number of times. You've done that for yourself. How many lifetimes have you had? That's why it's like, honestly, I remember seeing this one thing it was so funny on Instagram and it was like, oh my gosh, that makes so much sense, where a lot of people really get into like ancestor, ancestral work and like not just worshiping their ancestors or honoring their ancestors or trying to heal and generational trauma and heal from their ancestors. And I saw this one thing on Instagram one time. I was like, oh my gosh, that's really funny because I think it feels true, which is like you may have been your ancestors, right? How do you know that you weren't your great great grandfather in another lifetime, even if you're a woman now, right? How do you know that you weren't your great great grandfather in another lifetime, even if you're a woman now, right? How do you know that you don't know that maybe you were, maybe this is your own lineage that you're healing, not not someone else's like someone related to you, but your own issues that you are healing over lifetimes staying within the same family line. Who knows, why not? There's no limit, there's no rules to this stuff, meaning you could be. Why not have that? Again, there's no limits, there's no rules. You could be your own great-grandfather, your own great-grandmother. You could be that. Or you could be totally a different race, a different gender, a different nationality, a different whatever.
Speaker 1:Again, if you're playing the video game the Sims or any other kind of video game, let's say you're playing a video game of the Sims, it's the simulated game where you can create your own character and live a life. You could be a rock star, you could be a lawyer, you could have family. You could have no kids. You could have some kids. You could have a pet. You could be a tycoon. You could be a poor beggar, whatever, like you get to create and live like a virtual life. If you could do that why, like we all, variety is the spice of life Would you just live the same character and then when that character in human terms, let's say your character lives to be 75 or 85 and then dies, oh, let me play another game of the Sims.
Speaker 1:I'm going to create the same exact character. I'm going to create the same exact character. I'm going to be a white dude, I'm going to be an engineer, I'm going to have a wife and two kids and a dog. I'm going to live in the suburbs, I'm going to drive a sedan, I'm going to go to college, I'm going to, you know, go on vacation once a year and then when that a new, new white dude dies at 85, I'm going to be another white dude and have a wife, and you're going to live the same life over and over again, when you can literally choose and create any life that you want, and choose and create any issues and lessons to learn from.
Speaker 1:Hey, maybe in this lifetime I want to learn courage. That would be awesome. So I got to experience and create. I need the video game to give me a lot of things to be afraid of. So my character, my avatar, can up level and courage. I need different things to be afraid of. That's how I get more experience points. That's how I get more courage points by moving through different things that I'm afraid of. Oh cool, that was an awesome, fun lifetime.
Speaker 1:Now, in this lifetime I'm going to, I want to learn forgiveness. What is forgiveness? Well, I need a lot of things to forgive. So, okay, video game, bring me betrayals, bring me injustices, bring me judgments. I'm going to up-level Everyone is an up-level and experience points in forgiveness. Right, like, look at it from that point. And no one is a victim, ever. No one is a victim. Everyone is a participant in this cosmic game that we've created for ourselves, that we've agreed to play.
Speaker 1:One lifetime, maybe I'm an African warlord. The other lifetime, maybe I'm an African slave. The other lifetime, maybe I'm a European beggar. The other lifetime, maybe I'm Asian, chinese, japanese man, woman, transgender, identifying person, maybe I'm an animal who the heck knows and who cares.
Speaker 1:Let's look at life from that perspective. You've been it all, you've done it all. That's why Jeshua says in the way of mastery probably in the Bible, too, and probably definitely in A Course in Miracles always talks about. Like any emotion, like we can all relate to everything Anger, rage, lust, murderous thoughts we can relate to, we've had it all, we've done it all in different lifetimes, but yet we forget and yet we want to play the victim. Well, it's them, they're the problem. Look at them, look at they're out there. Look, they're out there and it's nice, right, if you've been at all done it all and you get to choose the whole thing, wouldn't you? Wouldn't you create the variety? So stop, this is an invitation. Stop identifying with this one lifetime that you're having right now. This is all you are.
Speaker 1:Oh, just because you can't remember that you were a different lifetime, a different race, a different gender, lived in a different timeline which, by the way, it's all happening now anyway, just because you can't remember that, and we, whoever has done like past life regression stuff or you've had psilocybin, or you've gone on medicine journeys, or you've just done lsd and drugs, for the hell of it, when you were younger or older and you had a really weird trip of, oh, my gosh, I remembered that I was a geisha in ancient japan or whatever, right, yes, we've had inklings, dreams, wonderings, fortune tellers, seers, maybe some of that stuff's not true, maybe it is. Only you can know what resonates for you. Don't just blindly believe what somebody tells you about you. Check in with yourself and, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. That's why I like the past life stuff. It doesn't matter if you were the king or you were the beggar, or you were someone in between, or you were the burned at the stake, which it doesn't matter, unless it's relevant for you right now in your life. What it brings up for you to hear that you were royalty one day. Oh well, I don't feel like royalty now. So to know that I was royalty in the past makes me feel more valued, makes me feel more special. That's the issue that you're wanting to feel more special. Or, oh, learning, oh learning that I was a very wealthy person in a different lifetime. That makes me feel great because I'm feeling so much lack right now. Right, that's the issue. How you relate to any kind of past life information is the issue. What does it mean for you now? That's the issue. All right, we got off on a big tangent, but I think this is a good place to stop, because because this, this last little bit about the Sims and all the lifetimes. I think it's important to realize we've been doing it all and and we can continue to keep doing it all if we want to.
Speaker 1:But it comes with this forgetting who we are, which maybe, in the beginning, is part of the game. Oh my gosh, if I know exactly who I am, wouldn't it be fun? Like, why do people get dressed up on Halloween? Why do people like to role play? Why do people like to act, to experience a different side of themselves, outside of their identity? Well, I'm normally a nice person, but for Halloween I'm going to dress like a serial killer. It's totally outside of my identity. But it feels good to like scare kids or to be creepy or whatever, just for a day. That's obviously not who I am. Right, this is just an example. Or, let me be a monster, because I so identify with being a human being, but on Halloween, I get to dress up like a, like a monster or a zombie, and play that role we like to play.
Speaker 1:So what if, from infinite awareness of who you are as a divine being, you're like hey, let me forget who I am for a little bit, that'll be fun, because I know, duh, that I'm going to eventually remember who I am. So it's just a temporary little blip of an experience. To pretend like I'm separate, to have the experience of separation, oh my gosh, that's not fun. I want to wake up to who I am again, realize my oneness, realize my wholeness, and then maybe after a while it's like, yeah, let's go back and it's fun. It's fun to pretend to be separate again. Or let me try and bring up a challenge. Let's have a challenge. It's amazing to know that I'm abundant and whatever I need is right here and it's just within me and I can create anything I want. So after a while maybe I get bored of that, or maybe I just want the joy of a challenge, of forgetting how abundant I am and experiencing some lack so I can remember that I am abundant. That would be a fun game to play. Why not? Let's play that for a lifetime or two, or 10. And then we're back to knowing and embodying our full abundant self. Back to knowing and embodying our full abundant self.
Speaker 1:This is a dramatically different perspective than most people hold and have and it takes a lot of the seriousness out of spiritual healing and growth work. Like I gotta get there. I'm not there. I gotta somehow remember and get to the place, because I'm suffering so much now. It takes a lot of the seriousness out of it.
Speaker 1:What if it's all a game? What if it's all a play and your higher self is playing but your ego forgets because you want to forget, because if you still knew, it's like surrender. You can't surrender 99%. You got to surrender 100%. If you only surrender 99%, saving the last 1% sliver for yourself, just in case things don't work out, that's not surrender. So it's like if you remembered on some level who you were, your soul power, your soul expansiveness, maybe that would take the fun out of having the experience that you feel separate for a moment.
Speaker 1:So let me forget. So just the things to think about on this beautiful morning or evening or wherever you're listening uh, thanks for being on this journey, love you guys, love being a student of this and uh, yeah, like, subscribe, share if you can give us a good review on apple podcast and write a tiny little quick message.
