Lesson 17: The Journey of the Soul
Section 3: Imprinting in the Womb
Paragraphs: 1-9

What if your first universe wasn’t the nursery but your mother’s emotions? We journey into the idea of womb imprinting—how a mother’s hormonal tides, the father’s presence, family dynamics, and even the cultural climate shape a developing nervous system before birth. Without blaming or shaming anyone, we map how stress, fear, and love get translated into embodied patterns that can echo as hypervigilance, anxiety, or a deep sense of safety later in life.

We also flip the script on victimhood. From a soul perspective, we talk about choosing lessons—forgiveness, unconditional love, resilience—and selecting the parents and conditions most likely to teach them. That lens doesn’t erase pain, but it restores meaning and agency. We unpack the shock of incarnation, why the body may go numb when the fetus withdraws life force in response to stress, and how those early adaptations become familiar settings in adulthood.

To make it practical, we offer a simple investigation: ask your mother what life felt like during pregnancy, talk to your father, siblings, grandparents, and aunts to gather missing pieces, and notice how your biggest triggers mirror that early climate. Then we point to supportive tools—breathwork for regulation, safe relationships for co-regulation, trauma-informed care to widen your window of tolerance—so the body can welcome more life force now. SPEAKER_00:

Hello, and welcome back to Living the Way of Mastery. I'm Jason Amaroso, your guide and friend, and fellow student. And today we continue lesson 17, The Journey of the Soul, Section 3, Imprinting in the Womb. We've talked about that this in previous episodes. And we're going to dive in a little deeper into this episode. So here we go. Jeshua continues. The very first universe that you experience within the physical dimension is the experience or the universe of the womb. Here you are in constant, constant communication. Both constants are in italics. You are in constant, constant communication with all that is passing through the energy field of the mother. This does not mean just the pot pie she had for dinner or the cup of coffee she had in the morning that made your heart race. It is also the quality of air that she breathes. But more important than all this is the quality of in Italic's emotional energy that makes up the particular matrix she is experiencing in her own universe. For these things immediately affect the hormonal balance, the flow of chemicals through the physiological system, and at this point, you are very much part of that physiological system. Therefore, you take on, you begin to feel and experience the psychic field of the mother. You are also aware of the psychic field of the father and of any other immediate family members. So what Jeshua is saying is that one on at the moment of conception, when you are in the womb as a fetus, you are in constant, constant communication with all we're talking energy here. We're talking energy. What your mother was going through and how she reacted to it was influencing you in the womb. Not just physiologically, the dinner she had or the coffee, the quality of air that she breathes, the environment she's in. So have you ever had a conversation with your mother, if you still can, if your mother is in your life, about what she remembers life being like when she was pregnant? That's huge. Not just the pregnancy, but that time, that chapter. What was her relationship with her mother like? Her father? What was her family life like? If she was married or in a relationship, what was that like? What was going on in the world at large? Oh, well, there was the Cuban Missile Crisis, and so she was really afraid that there was going to be nuclear war. And she was stressed out every day. What Jeshua is saying here is that absolutely would impact you as a fetus because it's so much more than just the physical body, right? You are still consciousness here. You're always been consciousness. So these are great questions to ask your parents if you can. If you're a mother for sure, if you're a father, what was the environment like when your child was in the womb? How stressed was the mother? What was the situation like? Was there a big worry about money and finances and security? What was the, again, the state of the world? There's constant communication happening. And he says, for these things, immediately the mother's emotional energy immediately affects her hormones, the flow of chemicals, and you're part of the system. So you take on, he says, you begin to feel and experience the psychic energy, the psychic field of the mother. And you're also aware of the psychic field of the father and any other immediate family members or people that are in the world. He continues, so siblings. Siblings, what were your ask your sibling if they're older and they remember what was it like when mom was pregnant with me and you were three or four, if you can even remember. Maybe you're older, nine or ten or eleven. What was it like? You are also aware of the energies, any particular dominant energies that are going on within the social structure. Remember, we talked about webs of relationships. You are a field of energy within a field of energy, within a field of energy, within a field of energy. Literally, it says that that many times, even in your third-dimensional realm. Many have used the word in italics, imprint, to describe this initial state in which you become identified with the physiological form emerging out of the field of energy that is the particular matrix of the mixture of energies of the mother and the father. This is where you start. Again, you have done so in order to bring forth certain lessons. You have done this because of certain patterns held within the consciousness before you turned your attention to this dimension. Translation: when you were in spirit, when you were not in a body, you said, Hey, I want to learn a certain lesson. Let's just say, again, I love the book. If you don't have it, get it. It's a children's book by Neil Donald Walsh, the guy who wrote Conversations with God, and it's called The Little Soul and the Son. It is the simplest explanation of this. But, anyways, the idea is when you were a, you're always a soul, but when you were in spirit, you said, hey, I want to learn, let's say I want to learn forgiveness. I want to learn forgiveness, that quality of love called unconditional love and forgiveness. That's the lesson I want to learn in a body. So what is the situation? What's the environment? Who are the mother and the father that are going to bring this lesson of forgiveness to me in the way that I want to experience it the most? Right? You're never a victim to the world you see. You've chosen all of it at the spirit level, but we forget this. And then we think we're a victim and that life's happening to us. And oh, why did I have these mother and this father and these issues? And why, why, God, why? All the while. God is not an old man in the sky being like, I'm punishing you. No, God is life. God's life. We're the ones who have chosen the experiences that we're having. Again, at a soul level. Consciously, no one's ever going to ask for these experiences because they're painful, because they feel like separation, because they feel like abandonment or betrayal or abuse or whatever. But at the soul, the soul is impermeable the right word. That's probably not the right word. Infinite, eternal, untainted. The soul doesn't mind having a human experience where it's really uncomfortable and painful with trauma and abuses. The soul's like, that doesn't even touch me because I know who I am, I know what I am. So the soul's like, giddy up, let's go. So look at your life. Reverse engineer it. Look at your issues, your biggest pains, your issues, your family pains. You chose into it all for the lessons it would give you. And no one promised you, and you probably didn't even want the lessons to be all smooth and clean and easy and not, you know, not uncomfortable at all. When you're a soul, you're like, bring it on. Bring it on. If you're listening to this, you probably chose the PhD class. Earth is like a school. The physical dimension is like a school where you're you're learning, you're growing, you're expanding in your consciousness. So why not be like, hey, bring me, I want to challenge myself a little bit. It would be boring if it was so easy. Think about yourself and your life this way. It may change your entire context of your life. And again, he says, you've chosen it. No one's chosen it for you. You've done this. He continues now, for the vast majority of you reading this lesson, that dissension, that quantum leap from the realm of pure spirit from a different vibrational state into the vibrational state of the third dimension was a shock. So much so that your awareness in italics forgot yourself as pure spirit. Course of Miracles calls this the veil of forgetfulness. The shock was so much to the system. You forgot who you really were and still are and always have been and always will be pure spirit. Oh my gosh, I'm this little body, I'm this separate thing. I can be harmed. My body can die. Maybe I can die, right? Again, this stuff isn't conscious, but we're just acknowledging it. Now, Jeshua continues, if the shock at conception is not sufficient, it could happen at any time during being in the womb. So not just conception, the moment of conception, but any time in the womb, there can be a shock. And he says if there's any kind of trauma for the mother, if there is a physiological imbalance, if the breathing experience is difficult, if there's any problem with the flow of nutrients to the body, if the mother is under even occasional acute emotional stress, then you will make an attempt to pull back away from the body in an attempt to rediscover the realm of spirit. And let's be honest, he's pretty much describing every pregnancy, every experience of either the mother or the baby. I mean, especially in the modern world, what pregnant woman doesn't experience something, a physiological imbalance? Difficult, the breathing experience is difficult. Maybe you're worried, maybe you're stressed, maybe your diet's not very good, maybe something's going on in your world that's stressing you out. If there's a problem with the flow of nutrients to the body, if you got a bad diet, if the mother's even under occasional acute emotional stress, that's pretty much everybody. Then you will make an attempt to pull back away from the body in an attempt to rediscover the realm of spirit. Ooh, this is uncomfortable. I don't like this experience. Let me go back into spirit. That's that's what he's had, that's what he's saying. But you've already crossed the threshold, right? Into being in a physical body. So you you truly can't, I don't know if dissociate is the right word, but you can't, you're in the body, but you're gonna try. You're gonna go try the safety of spirit. And he says, when you do this, the body of the fetus goes numb. The body goes numb. When you withdraw, or you, he says, an attempt to rediscover the realm of spirits. You're like, ooh, this isn't safe. Let me go back to the safety of spirit. When you do this, the body of the fetus goes numb. That is, life force is withdrawn from it. As it grows, the nervous system adapts to the level of life force that is flowing through it. And that is what comes from you and not from another. So, as all these shocks to the mother's system, her psychology, her emotional state, as these happen, you as spirit now in a little body is like, oh, I don't like this. This is uncomfortable. Oh, what's happening? Let me get out of here. I don't want to feel this. And so you withdraw life energy, which is what you are, from the body. And the body goes numb. And as it grows, as the body grows, the nervous system, and we know the nervous system is designed at the physical level to keep the body alive. The nervous system is like a threat detection system. The nervous system adapts to the level of life force that's flowing through it. So if you're withdrawing constantly because of, let's just call it trauma, to a fetus, even a little bit of emotional distress, a mother being stressed out, let's say, is traumatic. Let's just say. But we know that it's impacted. So there's a little bit of trauma or distress, the the spirit withdraws the life force because it's uncomfortable. And so the nervous system is adapting to the level of life force that's flowing through it. If there's not a lot of life force, the nervous system's gonna be on high alert all the time. It doesn't really get to develop. And it makes sense when a mother is going through trauma. We know generationally trauma passes through from generations. So if a mother's experiencing a lot of trauma, the fetus is going to energetically imprint, is the word that he talks about, imprint that same trauma. So the nervous system is going to be highly sensitive in that regard. It's always looking for threats. It always wants to stay safe. And it makes sense. And this is what comes, he says the life force is flowing through, and that is what comes from you and not from another. So the level of life force in the body, in the physical form, is coming from you. It may be influenced by another, but ultimately it's like, does the is the soul withdrawing out of fear and wanting to retreat back into pure spirit, which it can't do at this point, but is it trying to withdraw or is it feeling safe and not withdrawing? And then the nervous system develops, I don't want to say healthy, but fully. And this is the last paragraph of this section, Jeshua says, so that during this period of nine months, you are in a particular universe where you are having physical experience. Not unlike one who is 60 years old in the physical dimension. You are experiencing the sensory realm of the third dimensionality. And you are already being deeply influenced by psychic patterns not your own. You're being influenced by psychic patterns, mother, father, environment, siblings, immediate family members that are not your own. Doesn't mean you're at the mercy of them, but there is influence there. And being a, let's say, going from the spirit into the third dimension, it's understandable that there would be a response to that stimuli in the womb. So this is this is this section, just giving you a little bit of context. And then in the next section, he's going to go in and talk about once you're once you're born and kind of the different phases of the human experience in terms of when you're in your 20s and your 30s and your 40s. It's great. This is great. So this section is all about find out, do a little bit of sleuthing and detective work. Ask your mother and your father if they're around. Ask your grandparents if they're around. Because they may have a different perspective. Hey, grandma, what was it like when my mom was pregnant with me? That she may know stuff or have a different perspective that your mother had doesn't register at all. Ask your aunts and uncles, ask your siblings. And then, of course, if you have children, you know, hey, oh my gosh, when Johnny was in the womb or Sally was in the womb or whatever name, that was really stressful time for my wife and I. Whatever it is. And no, and now I can see how that impacted our child. And that's not to feel guilty. None of it is guilt again, because the soul is choosing it all. So little Sally must have chosen this experience of mom and dad arguing over money because they were stressed out because the first baby was coming. I don't know, whatever it is. But just do get some information for yourself. Um, yeah, this is good. Good stuff. I love this lesson. It really starts to explain the human experience from the soul perspective.
