Blessings, friends and family. Here is your Wii Family Radio national weather update. Good morning, Michelle. It's Monday, December 8th, 2025, and as we start a new work week, the weather map is definitely telling a few different stories across the country.
SPEAKER_01Good morning, Keith. The big story today is a massive Arctic blast, causing temperatures to plummet across the upper Midwest.
SPEAKER_00That's right. We're talking about temperatures dropping well below zero. This is a serious cold front, and daily record lows are possible in major cities like Chicago, Pittsburgh, and even New York City.
SPEAKER_01And the cold isn't letting up. On Friday, the northeast will be exceptionally cold, with some areas seeing single-digit lows. Then a second shot of cold air is expected to hit the northern plains and upper Midwest on Saturday.
SPEAKER_00So a very active weather pattern across the country. Please stay safe and informed about your local conditions. And with that, let's remember to keep each other in prayer.

Friends and family, with this severe cold, it is especially important to remember to always pray for and check on the elderly, those who have experienced any loss, and the homeless. Also check on pets and stay safe during severe winter weather. Stay off roads if at all possible. If trapped in your car, then stay inside. Limit your time outside. If you need to go outside, then wear layers of warm clothing. Reduce the risk of a heart attack by avoiding overexertion when shoveling snow and walking in the snow.
