That's right, Michelle. And over in the world of Christian hip hop, we've got news on Sonny Sandoval's much anticipated solo album, a new single from Shy Lynn, and the debut album from Reach Records' latest artist, Alexander. So let's dive into the gospel news first.

Let's start with Brandon Lake. This is huge news, Keith. He has teamed up with Amazon Music for their Songline feature.

Keith

It really is huge. For those who don't know, Songline is an exclusive feature that gives listeners a deep dive into the stories behind the music. And Brandon is the first ever Christian artist to be featured. He's an incredible company, joining mainstream giants like Billy Eilish and Ed Sheeran. It's a massive step for Christian music visibility.

Michelle

Absolutely. It shows the wide-reaching impact his music is having. Speaking of impact, the legendary Cece Wynans delivered a powerful performance of the national anthem at the Detroit Lions' 86th annual Thanksgiving Day classic. Her performance was simply breathtaking and brought a sense of unity and reverence to the event. If she's coming to a city near you, you don't want to miss it.

Definitely not. Now let's switch gears to Christian hip hop. We mentioned Sonny Sandoval, the frontman of the iconic band POD. He's stepping out on his own with his very first solo rap and reggae album. This is a project fans have been waiting for, a chance to hear his unique style in a new format.

It's always exciting to see artists explore new creative avenues. And finally, let's talk about the future of CHH. The Rapzilla Freshman 2025 project is dropping on December 26th, and this year's album is shaping up to be the biggest yet.

Keith

They're really going all out. The album features 13 tracks, making it the longest freshman album since 2015. And get this 18 of the 20 artists in this year's class are featured on it. It's a huge collaborative effort. And the perfect showcase of the next wave of talent in the genre.

Michelle

Now, introducing Reach Records artist Alexander. Born and raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Alexander grew up surrounded by music, faith, and a culture full of life. His grandfather was a member of La Orchesta Nader, and his father, Luis Santiago, a renowned gospel artist in the Latin space, was also a pioneer of love ballads with Christian values. This rich artistic heritage shaped Alexander's journey, inspiring him to use music as a way to connect and glorify God. His new album, I hope I am pronouncing this right, Yoran, which means weeping, it is available now on all major streaming platforms.

That is so cool. I love it. Another new hot release comes from Shylin. Now, his highly anticipated new album, Lyrical Theology Part 3, Sociology, was released on Lamp Mode Recordings on December 5th, following singles like Elder Statesman and Old Rugged. Continuing his tradition of deeply theological hip-hop, exploring faith, culture, and Christian living. Also available on all major streaming platforms.
