Hockey Plans And Small Talk
SPEAKER_00See we're gonna go. We're kind of in a little drum since New Year's. That's right. Are you just happy that the uh that the uh uh We weren't in the drum the hockey hockey's coming back or what?
SPEAKER_01Oh the old um I like the squat are in the national tournament.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01So we should go next weekend.
SPEAKER_00Is it in Jersey or where is it?
SPEAKER_01It's in Wayne, New Jersey. Wayne, New Jersey. It used to be held in Utica, New York. Utica, but last year and this year. This year it's uh again in Wayne. I think because Utica could handle all the crowd, so they needed to bring it to a bigger venue.
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00New York couldn't handle the crowds and I just go to New Jersey.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I would think that New York has got more room than New Jersey does.
The Great E And J Shortage
SPEAKER_01I would think so, but you never know. I guess I haven't I I don't know. That tastes delicious. I know what doesn't it? I didn't have one last night. Oh, I didn't either. I went to the R Social. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I said they not have it again.
SPEAKER_01So I said, ma'am. Very nice, lady. Very nice. Oh something they had it before. Yeah, yeah. So then the bar there goes, yeah, we I think we're all we don't all have. Then the manager said, No, we got it. It's upstairs. I'll go get it. When upstairs, they couldn't find it. Oh I said, why?
SPEAKER_00I said, I'm not sure. So you were at the downstairs bar. And they're like, oh, they have it at the at the upstairs bar.
SPEAKER_01But they couldn't find it.
SPEAKER_00So they were out.
SPEAKER_01Somebody is pulling. So they drink it and they sell it. Somebody does, but they don't carry it regularly. They carry it for there's another group of us. There's another group of us. Was that what he said? I think so.
SPEAKER_00That comes in and just orders the brandies?
SPEAKER_01Yes. Yeah. And I'm like, you don't run out of uh Crown, you don't run out of Tito's, you don't run out of uh uh Jameson, you don't run out of it.
SPEAKER_00If they had the E and J, they'd probably sell more of it.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. Well they would right. This is our angel argument from day one. It's like the people that work for the who are the distributors that sell E and J are not doing their jobs, they're not pushing it very well. We it's not hard. We would it sells itself. I almost uh I almost offered to do it maybe just like some perks, some merch or something, and I would do it. Yeah, maybe a free case of brandy every few weeks. I don't know. And some T.
SPEAKER_00You need a case every two every year a lot of company in the city.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm doors we go through a lot, but I'm just saying we could sell so much more.
SPEAKER_00I mean, the fourth of July with all the people up there, usually it's like at least a case, yeah. Well, you you go through a case, I pull through probably half a case, or usually done at your place most of the time. For but I'll go through like three bottles, too.
SPEAKER_01And so it's the age old argument. They need to do a better job of promoting it. Yeah. And oh yeah, they can work on that. Or let us buy our own bottles and bring them around town and we'll put them at these establishments so then when we go there, we can only us can get them.
SPEAKER_03Like a setup bar.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01We sh they should let you people. Why is that not a thing? I don't know. I asked them at the uh the cruise line I was just on. I said, hey, if I go and buy six bottles of brandy and put them around the different bars throughout the ship, can I because I bought the drink package. What's the difference? Right. No, they're getting it for free.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01They're making more money on it. And I said you could even sell it to other people. Well, I wouldn't do that. Except for the one bar. Yeah, the one bar you can't, but the other ones you could.
SPEAKER_00Wow. If people found out they were selling EJ, though you'd be gone.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I know.
SPEAKER_00What kind of booze mainly do they have? It's Caribbean cruise, right? So you might get a lot of margaritas.
SPEAKER_01Oh no, we had no lot of margaritas. I had a couple margaritas. I don't mind them though. They're not too bad.
SPEAKER_00I don't like the super sweet ones.
SPEAKER_01No.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01Do you like the super ones? I make them strong. Yeah. Strong. Uh they had good tequila. And then I had um they had uh we didn't even get to that. We we we kind of jumped the gun here. Oh no, I'm gonna go back to the gifts.
SPEAKER_00All right, we're talking about hockey for a minute there. That's right. And then we talked about going out to dinner.
Supper Club Vibes And Nostalgia
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, going out to dinner. We went out to the supper club last night.
SPEAKER_00I did go to the supper club last night.
SPEAKER_01That's awesome. I was so jealous. We almost we uh Nags and I almost went. Okay, so I we were gonna show up and like get a booth like next to you guys. You should have. We almost did. You should have. We were close, and I'm like, no, that's I didn't want your father-in-law to be like, what the hell are they doing here?
SPEAKER_00It will it was uh it's been there for like since like the what the hell is they the 60s, maybe? I think early 60s, yeah. And I've never been there. I can't believe it never I've never even heard of it. It's in the middle of nowhere. I mean, it's like in the middle of the city. Yeah. So I mean you should. I should have I should have heard of it. I should have been there.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's like that one supper club we went to for work. We did a little thing with the we went, it was down in um was it St. Louis Park, I think. And it was in like a neighborhood. Yeah, that's what this is, and it was like right off of 55, kind of by Cure 11. And it was on the but the other side of the road, but down back in a neighborhood, but there's a golf course back there, just this little one block. There's like a neighbor, and there's this old supper club. It's still open, it's still running. Oh, yeah, it was so cool. They had like the old red chairs and stuff. Yeah, I like those ones. I think they had wheels on the chairs, those are the best. Oh, it was great. Yeah, no, this and they had E and J.
SPEAKER_00They had E and J at this one too, but I didn't I didn't do an E and J in this one, I did uh bourbon. It was a it was a kind of a birthday dinner for for fun place's dad. So he went out with her brother and wife, and oh yeah, what's he doing?
SPEAKER_01He's doing good, good, yeah. He did have a nice trip in Sedona. He did have a nice trip to Sedona. Yeah, I talked to him on his birthday. I didn't. I gave him a shot. I felt bad. I talked to him. I said hey, I'd be like, Because he has the same birthday as somebody else. Yeah. That's why it came up on my telephone. I don't think I have him saving my phone. I wasn't texting him. That's probably the first time I ever texted him on his first birthday. But I'll tell you who it was, because it was right. I texted him both people. I I said I had a birthday, Jimmy.
SPEAKER_00He was in yeah. But he was in yeah, he was in Arizona for that.
SPEAKER_01Was it uh Sedona? Yeah, when name was it? It was like a week ago, I think.
SPEAKER_00Wasn't it?
SPEAKER_01Oh, it was before oh, it was yeah, because I was down in uh Texas.
SPEAKER_00Oh so anyway, the supper club thing I went to last night.
No Menus Just A Table Sign
SPEAKER_01Oh, it's Alex A Rod, Q's kid. Oh, I don't think it is in my phone either. Yeah, same day. Really? I didn't know that. Okay. I'll have to put them both in my phone, I guess. Anyway, so what about the supper club?
SPEAKER_00So they had the so they they don't bring you a menu.
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_00You basically get a they bring like a you know those please seat yourself signs you get when you walk into a restaurant. Yep. They basically have one of those that they bring to your table, and it's like three versions, three versions of sirline. You get a sirline special, a choice sirloin, or shrimp, or a ground chuck, or what do they call it? Uh ground sirloin, basically. It was big as a hamburger, I think. That's it.
SPEAKER_01They brought that whole sign over.
SPEAKER_00That's it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01They brought the sign over.
SPEAKER_00They brought the sign over. But when they seat you, they set the side right by the table.
SPEAKER_01So when you when you um That's it. That's that's the only thing you get. And then you get you get they bring you potatoes and bread and a salad.
SPEAKER_00You don't get to choose what kind of dressing you want on a salad. I don't get to choose, you don't get to choose what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01Was that Thousand Island? It was some kind of thousand house, Thousand Island. I saw the sign. I couldn't because when you sent me that sign, I was in the restaurant and I was looking, I was bitching about the sign at please wait to be seated. Yeah, yeah. And I was like, this sign is so stupid. We've already hashed this on an earlier episode. Right. I'm like, this doesn't make any sense why the sign is. We have a podium and a gal here. I'm not gonna run past it unless I can go into the bar. But then you sent me that photo of it. I thought that was when you walked in and you no no no they put it in front of your table. That's like and there's only one for the whole restaurant?
SPEAKER_00No, no, no. I did a couple go around. So I put it right here next to you, and then like a we said we sat at like a long table, whatever it was.
SPEAKER_01So we had six.
SPEAKER_02Money on menus? Yeah, there is no menus.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it saves money on menus. So you have three signs and then just go around.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they just move them from table to table as people move in.
SPEAKER_01You had a choice between a sirloin and shrimp.
SPEAKER_00You need a house sirloin, yeah, special.
SPEAKER_01What's that mean?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. It's it's basically a center-cut sirloin. Was there you get a choice sirline, which could be an end cut, then you get chopped sirloin, which is basically ground beef, patty, horn hamburger, the one good thing or shrimp.
SPEAKER_01The one good thing is that you don't have to wait for people making up their mind.
SPEAKER_00No, which was funny is that she sat there, she came to the table, and then are people at the table? Um, they're like, Do you get it rare? I did medium rare. It was perfect. Okay, it was it was good. And it was uh, but they came to the table and the people and like somebody else at the table was like, Yeah, we need another minute. I'm like I kind of looked at him like you got three choices.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, what do you need a minute for? Could you order all three things, maybe? Well, I suppose you could charge for them.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean you get charged for each one.
SPEAKER_01Like the choice one was like did the salad have uh croutons on it? No, was there onion? No, it was just lettuce and sauce, lettuce and sauce, no cheese, no nothing up.
SPEAKER_00No, I don't think so. Not really, no. Was there a bun or a breadstick? Oh, they had like uh like it was like endless breadsticks. Oh yeah, yeah. They were like girl garlic slices, but like it's like they're cut up like a like a Did you have to get up out of your seat to go get the salad?
SPEAKER_01Or did they bring it to you?
SPEAKER_00No, they bring it to you.
SPEAKER_01You don't get up. Well, I think supper clubs usually go get your own salad. I think they bring your food to you, but you go to the salad bar on a small on a supper club.
SPEAKER_00Some have the salad. Yeah. Or is that a smorgasboard? That's a smorgasbord, I think.
SPEAKER_01You where you that's more than a smorgasbord, it's like a buffet. So not the food, not the food, just the salad. Yeah. You know, we you know.
SPEAKER_00It kind of reminds me of bonanza back in the day. Because bonanza, you ordered a steak and you had to go get a salad. Yeah, you had a salad bar each.
SPEAKER_01You never it was it was in Coop Rapids. I don't know. Who's a tough guy town? Never been there. You never went to Bonanza before? Never once. You basically go through the line, you order your steak, and then you don't like it. I'm not going through a line to order a steak, though. No, no, no.
SPEAKER_00That's like you order, then you go sit down and they bring you your steak.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't know if I'm doing that. Well, that's all they did. And then you go to like then you go get a buffer.
SPEAKER_00When you go to like I don't, it's not a route anymore. That's been gone for probably 20 years.
SPEAKER_01It was called the Lin Club, was uh Lincoln Lake or um uh Sham. No, it wasn't a Sham. It was uh Fish Trap. It was a restaurant on Fish Trap. Uh 10, old Highway 10 when it used to go the other way. And it was they would go, we would go there on only special occasions. Well, right. And we'd get kitty cocktails, a fancy cocktail cup, right? Oh, orange, yeah. And we thought we're all cool. But there you it was like uh you went and got your salad bar, you'd go up and get your salad, but everything else, so they had chicken and dumplings. I don't even still know what dumplings are, but we'd have dumplings. Um, steamed dough, are they? And then they would have like uh isn't dumplings just basically steamed dough. I don't know what it is, but it was cool to say it. We're getting chicken and dumplings tonight. Yeah, or shrimp. Dumpling is like a biscuit that you just put into liquid. It was kind of fancy back then, if I remember right. I'm sure it was. It was fancy, it was a supper club. But you weren't there and you never went to Bonanza. Never been to Bonanza ever. That's crazy. No, never. It's just I don't like eating out a trough. It wasn't a trough. It reminds me of Old Country Buffet. Well, it kind of was like it. I don't know. But they're in a salad bar like that. But it was back, this was back in the 80s. Well, that was so it wasn't probably so bad then. We've never been to Bonanza, never once.
SPEAKER_00I know I don't think I don't think it's been around. This has been gone since probably the early 90s.
SPEAKER_01I don't remember what I know it used to be over by the old high school, kind of right? Yeah, yeah. Never meant because wasn't it an Asian place there after con or cons or something like that? No idea. No idea. That's before it was before Lifetime Fitness was in there. Oh, yeah, long before that all got tore down. Bonanza. No, I never been there. Can't say I have.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was like a special occasion. You go to bonanza or you go to go to the loft over there. That was good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Prime rib loft at tequila beers. That was good. They got the good salad. Did so did Lindy. So they had the salad, you had the steak. Did you get a choice of oh no? I saw in the sign. It was like, don't tell me. I'm remembering, it was something hash browns, but it wasn't oily. It was what did the sign say? I don't remember what it said. It says something about hash browns, but we're not not greasy.
SPEAKER_00It was basically, it was basically uh smashed hash brown. So they basically take they take like red potatoes, they smash them up. Yeah, they're the potatoes were really good, actually. They were good.
SPEAKER_01I had who's that now? Is that the cops? What are they doing here? Oh no, it's not. I thought that was a pope hole. What is it? What are these yahoos doing? We got company coming in or a studio. We got all kinds of people going on out here. Who are these punks? Anyways, what did it say on the sign? Oh, well. It's I'll tell you. I gotta look it up. It was fans, it said something greasy. And I was like, that sounds good.
SPEAKER_00The potatoes were really good. Like I said, you didn't get a choice. I mean, the only oh, you could order uh mushrooms.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, yeah, I did see that. I saw that on the sign.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you could get mushrooms, and those were good.
SPEAKER_01But they weren't uh I said finally a sign that makes sense. So just so you guys know are listening, we've always had this debate about these signs at restaurants. And then Easter Lunious, yeah. So you don't you don't get to choose your potatoes, they just bring out big ass plates potatoes on everything. Yes. Greaseless, see, I do have something to do with grease.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's grease is hash brown potato platter. Don't say garlic bread in the basket. That was like endless.
Pull Tabs And Bar Strategies
SPEAKER_01That's why I ordered what I did last night. Would you order? I ended up ordering um a steak garlic bread sandwich. Brisket, like, or steak and garlic bread with loaded mashed potatoes. Because I saw this side. I was like, yeah, this looks good. It was actually good. Did they have pole tabs there? Um you know what's at the bar?
SPEAKER_00We got there early, so we sat down at the bar. The bartender's cool shit, too, by the way. Nice guy, super nice guy.
SPEAKER_01I bet you they had tabs there.
SPEAKER_00I don't think they did. I don't remember seeing tabs.
SPEAKER_01So we were at the place where I said we were at, and I was scoping out the tabs, and it was two$5 buckets. And one had three 1,000s left, and one had about 10,777s. So I'm like, we gotta do the thousand. I said, Well, this is slow play.
SPEAKER_02Was the thousand dollar one? Is that the single tab, or is that the no really?
SPEAKER_01Okay, so I was just gonna go up there and the table next to us. They just got back from the wild game, so they're kind of tuned up. So they went and put a ton of money in that the thousand. They pulled it. Oh, they did. So I'm like, I ain't going in that box. There was only one left? No, there was three, but it was half, it was a lot of cards in there. Oh so I'm like, no, I'm doing that. So then I was like, let's do the 777. Well, then I watched two. There was a lot of people playing uh tabs.
SPEAKER_00So then there actually is usually a lot of people at that at uh yeah, so then I play social. There's usually a lot of people played.
SPEAKER_01So then I so then I put, I was like, well, let's do that one. We'll try that one. And uh two people went up and bought a ton and they didn't win anything. So I was like, then I wasn't feeling anymore, so I'm like, I'm done. You didn't do it? I didn't play. No, no.
SPEAKER_00I've actually well we won Fun Belize. Fun Belize has been on like on a polling streak. She's actually pulled a few for us. Yeah, I know. I'd be losing right now if it wasn't for her.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we kind of went on a little drought. What are they doing out there? They're turning vehicles around, and it looks like they're doing something. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Well, was it that time?
SPEAKER_01I think so.
SPEAKER_00All right, we're gonna take a quick brainy break here. All right, and we'll be right back.
SPEAKER_01All right, sounds good.
SPEAKER_00All right, we're back with some brand new brandies, and then we're ready to go. Oh, hey, if you guys want to do your own podcast, you go guys gotta go check out Buzz Sprout. Buzz Sprout helps you get all your content on the line. It uh it does all the stats, it does all the monetization. You can do all kinds of crap from it. It is awesome. And the AI thing on it is pretty cool too. I know, I know Jay really is it's like fascinated by the AI stuff. It'll like do all the words or whatever, but you know, like it'll like uh she sounds nice. Who does? Your AI lady. That's a different AI lady. Oh, so go check out Bus Brown if you guys want to get your own thing. And don't forget to mention Braddy's a BS Eddie and Jay. But yeah, that's the co-pilot lady you like. Because I have like the the English lady.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you change her voice and make her sound like a sweet hot model. And then she but she doesn't really like talking dirty. No, she well, yeah. You like to talk dirty to my damn phone. I don't like it. You started it.
SPEAKER_00You talk dirty to my phone, which is weird a little bit.
Garage Projects Getting Out Of Hand
SPEAKER_01I smell skunk. Anyways, um that's not skunk, that's we do. Um we were talking off air about the about uh the garage here with uh all the projects going on, and uh we just found out that junior down in the basement, he brought instead of bringing it upstairs, he brought it down to the basement to work on it down there. I'm just laughing so hard because it's ridiculous. I mean they he's he's working on trying to clean the garage, and then and so then my oldest decides that he's not gonna rather than help me clean the garage, help help, help clean the garage, instead help him clean the garage with all those motors that are sitting there. He brings the the dirt back and works on it in the basement.
SPEAKER_00We've an unfinished basement, so it's not the big terrible deal, but he's basically taking all the tools out of the garage, bringing them downstairs, and working on another project down there. So he started another project, basically.
SPEAKER_01He's got he's got more products than I do. Yeah, he's got none of them are done. He's got six of them going, I think.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he's got just he just keeps moving stuff around.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, it's much rather I'd much rather have it in my garage working on it. Yeah, I know. I oh I I think I shouldn't mind playing with it because he's got a nice little motorcycle he's starting to work on. Oh, he does. Why don't you take the snowbell motor and put it into the dirt bike? It doesn't quite work that way. Well, he could. I don't know if it'll work. Why wouldn't that work? One's a two-stroke, one's a four-stroke, and then I don't know if it would fit in there quite right. We could just weld some things. You could weld some things. No. At any rate, it was we had a little bit of uh fun talking at the blast break. That's why I brought it up because I think it's funny that instead of helping Eddie clean out the garage so he can work on it there, he just put it. So then I said, Well, why don't you just get another project and start it up here in the living room? Or in the kitchen, or better yet, bring it up to your bedroom so then when when you get tired, you just go right to sleep. I think Vun Blues would finally put her foot down then. Oh, you think so?
SPEAKER_02Maybe finally.
SPEAKER_01Upstairs or in the living room?
SPEAKER_02I got nothing to do with it.
SPEAKER_00If it's in the house, I got nothing to do with it. I have no control.
SPEAKER_01The gals at work call that blue job and pink job.
SPEAKER_00Really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Interesting.
SPEAKER_01I didn't know it was like inside and outside, but they call it pink and blue. Really? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Pink and blue. Have you heard of that? No, I've never heard of that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I like that.
SPEAKER_00I just thought it was guy work, girl work, skirt work.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_00I just thought it was real work or skirt work.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's a lot of skirt work. Um I can hear you can hear Betty Rebel in here laughing. I know. Did so we finished up the talk about the supper club, I think. So it was, I mean, basically it was a good time. Yeah, no, it was a decent food.
SPEAKER_00It was decent food. Old fashion was good. The old fashioned was really good. Yeah, he did a good job of that. He made he made it nice and strong, and he used good booze. But um, it's it's not like I'd say I'd go there a lot.
SPEAKER_01No, not your favorite place, but it was decent.
SPEAKER_00No, I mean I'd rather if I'm gonna go for a stick, I'd rather go Pittsburgh Blue or something like that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_00You know, and have like a was it spendy? It was like 40. The you could split it and add 15 bucks to it. So, like the the special did fun police end up getting a tab or no? No, no.
SPEAKER_01I button, you owe me, you owe me some money, we bet on that.
SPEAKER_00No, no, I no, I tried the tab.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you did. I thought you guys were not gonna like it.
SPEAKER_00No, me and her brother, we split it.
SPEAKER_01Well, that was nice.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. That was nice. I think they didn't I think it made him feel uncomfortable though. Her dad. Oh, really? Yeah, I don't think he liked it.
SPEAKER_01I don't want the kids playing for this guy. Yeah, I don't think he liked it. I don't care if it's my birthday or not. I paid for this. Right. I'm in it.
SPEAKER_00I think he built this place up in his head too. Like it was so good, like it was like from back. It probably was because it's been like 20 years since he's been there. And he had it built up in his head how good it was. And he was a little disappointed. Yeah, no, he said actually he's like actually and your stakes are better. So they're good. Well, your stakes are good. Yeah. I mean, no, the mine was good too. Yeah. But the let's put it this way. They put I had I watched her dad and her brothers both s oversalt their steak.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you can't do that. Well, they might like it. I don't. I don't like a lot of salt in mine.
SPEAKER_02See, I had there was no there wasn't a lot of the good seasons.
SPEAKER_01That's because they probably cook them well done.
SPEAKER_02They did cook them well. It doesn't make any sense. They did overcook them. Blood is flavor. I think both of them cooked them to medium or medium well.
SPEAKER_01Didn't they? Didn't they cook them to like medium? Funple it's that's why they have to put salt on them because you overcook them.
unknownYeah, go medium. So they both did medium wise.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, he originally ordered medium well. And then fun place talked her into talked him in do doing medium at least. I heard my medium rare, which is it was it was solid red in the middle. I used to do medium rare.
SPEAKER_01And actually, you talk me into not doing medium rare. You talk me into a rare because when it comes out, it's usually medium rare. So I usually do rare, unless you're at a fancy place.
SPEAKER_00If you go to some place that actually cook it properly, yes, you're good.
SPEAKER_01Because I don't like it cold. I don't, and then sometimes when it's rare, depends on the main. Sometimes blue is not, it's not string and blue. No, because that's what you have to pay a shit ton of money. Right.
SPEAKER_00I like this. Um, if you go to a steak place and you get it, I like medium rare. I like it a little bit warmer in the middle. Not cold.
SPEAKER_01No, that's me. That's rare.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, cold is rare.
SPEAKER_01Nah. I like it a little bit warmer. I want rare to medium rare in between the two. It's yeah, yeah. I don't like it. I tried the cold at blue and I didn't care for it. That was like eaten raw. Right. Which was fun. It tastes good. It was stringy though. Yes. It was stringy there. Because it was cold. No, maybe it wasn't.
SPEAKER_00No, it's you get stringy. Yeah, it's stringier.
SPEAKER_01I don't like it string.
SPEAKER_00You gotta break the fibers. Well, if you depends on the kind of meat. If you get a fillet.
SPEAKER_01But I like when you cook them and I like when I cook them. If you full if you cut a fillet, and that's about it. And Q. Right. He's he's I like he's always been a very good cooker. Because you guys, we all know we got, I think we always and I don't know if I do, but you guys use the right amount of seasoning. Yeah, you you gotta do it's more than you think, but not too much.
SPEAKER_00Right. You gotta like like fun police over here. I think I do a good job of mining. She needs to do enough, I think. She needs to add a little more.
SPEAKER_01She goes, I always had overseasoned it. I'm like, yeah. Well, it depends what seasoning you're using too.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_01Because I think like when I do my my potatoes, I I got the bases down, but I like to experiment a little bit and try different things. Like every once in a while I'll try to do something. Because before I had a timer, I want a high heat, crisp on the bottom, and then shut it down and slow cook the other side. Yeah. Because then you got the crisp on one side, you got the slow on the other, and it takes a while for the steak to go and everything because it tastes longer. Well, it's like a hash brown. You want it crispy outside in a soft center. But I always try different seasonings too, a little bit on it to see. But the butter always is good too. So it's we've I've been putting butter on the steaks lately.
SPEAKER_00So when you rest them? A little bit, yeah. Yeah, you get a compound. You can actually just buy a compound butter.
SPEAKER_01You can just go to the store and get like a good we gotta do another uh cooking show. I talked to uh meat guy, yeah. Oh, I love well. And I talked to Garage Guy too. He wants to get another show going too. Nice, yeah. Yep, they were. I like meat guy.
SPEAKER_00I like that meat guy episode was good. I like that one.
SPEAKER_01I was I I like actually prep for that shoe. I talked to him uh, what was it about? He came to my office about because I thought I said, Hey, not to be like asking you for favors, but do you think you can sharpen some knives? He's like, for sure, bring them over to the shop. But I said, We're gonna do it, we gotta get you back on for the uh the caster. He's like, let me know, I'll be there. Yeah, oh yeah. No, that was a good episode. Yeah, he's good peeps. I like that one. He's good peeps. He was in my office. We'd sat and talked for. In fact, we were talking about snowmobiles, and because his brother was looking at buying some, and I thought I had my two ski dudes sold to him and his his brother and his dad.
SPEAKER_00The older ones? The 01 and 03. Yeah, yeah. You're gonna try and sell you you had them stole?
SPEAKER_01He never called me. Oh, so no, I didn't. I thought I did. That's okay.
SPEAKER_00It's I I I thought it was gonna bring it, get rid of all of them here for you don't get some stone dicks.
SPEAKER_01I know, right?
SPEAKER_00I mean, this is dumb.
SPEAKER_01I know, because I was like, because now the blue one, I put C foam in it, yeah, and let it run up the last time I was up there, and I hit and it wasn't bogging down. No, C foam organized. It didn't, like, because it was and there was no the red light never came on, no, nothing. Because I was like, what the hell? Because I think because I didn't ride them for three years, it got a little gummed up. Yeah, they get gummed up.
SPEAKER_00Well, you get moisture in there. So the sea foam does, it takes moisture, it helps with the evaporate the water.
SPEAKER_01Oh, right. I don't need to worry about it. I was gonna take the carburetor on, see if your kids wanted to clean it, and I was like, eh, let's put some C foam in there first.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, C foam works.
SPEAKER_01And it worked good, yeah. It did, it did good. And I even put my new batteries in there.
SPEAKER_00I don't ever use like a stable usually.
Wild Hype And Playoff Ticket Shock
SPEAKER_01I don't think I really say you don't have to when you use the not an oxy. But you still you still can get some moisture in there, yeah. C foam. Anyways, but yeah, so uh uh meat guy wants to get back on the show. I like that episode. We probably have to set it up one of these times and let him know when we're gonna do it, but yeah. He's in. He's in. Still in the old uh um other studio by your place in the studio. I have some notes here. We were talking, I was gonna talk about your upcoming trip or my old trips, and then I was gonna talk about the maybe I just instead of doing sports, sports, sports, I could do like a three-minute sports thing. I don't know. The only thing I would say, because okay, I would say we talked about the squash to go to national, so good for them. Yeah, yeah, in Jersey. The Wild, they just won last yesterday. Good win against the Dallas Stars team, which is gonna be who probably be playing players. I missed that game. That's happened much. And we have three, that was a daytime game.
SPEAKER_02I didn't watch it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we didn't know we happened to just turn I didn't. I thought it was that last night. I thought it was gonna be a night game. And we're all Caprizov, Erickson Eck, and somebody else was out, and we we did good. Huh? They didn't look great. Neither team looked like it, I'll be honest. But we won. Um Titan is the W. Yeah. So I was gonna tell you, I I after that, I texted uh Daryl. I said, Hey, Stanley Cup. He's like, for sure. I looked up, I looked up tickets.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01They have tickets. You think the Wilder making the Stanley Cup? I do. They're not gonna go there. Yeah, they do. I think they are. You think they're that good? They're gonna, yeah. I think they're better. I think they are. It depends. We picked up some new guys that can win face-offs. That's our whole key. Faceoffs and penalty kill. And I think we're doing better. I think we're still as long as we don't get it. We're first team in our division yet. No, but the top three the Wild, Dallas, and Colorado, those the top three in our division. Were we ahead of Colorado for a while there? No, we were ahead of Dallas. We were always behind Colorado, but we're all getting close. We're like four opponents behind Dallas now for third. We're in second, and then Colorado's above Dallas. But the three teams are the best three teams. That's what they've been debating lately, because our three teams in our division are the best three teams in the NHL. NHL. And so the argument's been it used to be like in basketball, you go one versus eight, two versus seven, three versus well, and the NHL, they don't do that. We're gonna probably have to play the second best team, and they're playing us. It's not fair to either team.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01The owners, especially our owners, spend millions of dollars to get more people in. Yeah, yeah. They should put us three against the fifth place team or whatever in New York's out. Yeah, the six, eight, seven, six. Yeah, we should be paying six if that's how it ends up. But it is what it is. At the end of the day, you gotta beat all the teams anyways. Yeah, you still gotta win. So I'm feeling pretty good.
SPEAKER_00But where's the Stanley Cup this year?
SPEAKER_01It's where whoever's in it.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's right. Yeah, yeah, you go to the city.
SPEAKER_01But I looked up tickets just for fun. I'm thinking, yeah, I'm thinking of like because it's not, they're not we don't even know if we're gonna make it. I just I went on and I Googled the Stanley Cup tickets, wild home tickets, and they had like game one, two, three, and four. If guess how much four tickets were? Right now.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna say 200 bucks a piece.
SPEAKER_01No, it was more than that. The cheapest I could find was$3,600 for four. You're shitting me. For all three for no, just one game. One game. One game. And I was almost gonna buy them. I'd rather watch it on TV that part at that point. I told Daryl, I said if they make the Stanley Cup, we can probably go to one game. For four grand. That's not drinks in whatever else. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Five grand. Yeah or five grand.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I don't know if I want to spend that much on that.
SPEAKER_00That's a lot of money for one game for a family.
SPEAKER_01And we can sit at home and watch it at the end. You could go.
SPEAKER_00You can have a party. You can take the whole family down vacation down to you could take them out to Hawaii for five grand.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you're right. I don't think I'm gonna do that. We could do actually a live uh podcast prior to the game, and maybe they'd let us get in for free.
SPEAKER_00You know, if uh we had E and J sponsor us, we probably could get in there and do it.
SPEAKER_01Do it online Well, we get E and J at the arena. Yeah, we'll get you guys in there, you guys get us tickets. And we want to be in the club level on the rail.
SPEAKER_00So we get them to sell E and J there, and then they give us tickets.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, all right, yeah, okay. I don't know what that I don't know how that's a big deal. Yeah, and I'm not just talking this year, it's future years too. We get and we're not gonna go because I don't want to go to every single game because it's too far to drive, but just when we want to go every once in the great, well, maybe like four games a year. I've heard of playoff tickets in playoff. Yeah, yeah. So figure it out. We're brought we're advertising. I didn't I haven't been to a game all year. I haven't been to a game for a couple years. I went to the no, I went this once this year. Oh, did you? Yeah, you did. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You did.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm. I haven't been to one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was before the Olympics because we were talking to Faber's parents. Oh, yeah. I remember that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because they were going getting ready for Milan, remember? Um, but you remember that. Ace, not that keep talking about sports, but did you see the other thing?
SPEAKER_02I know, I'm out. That's you're going down way too fast.
SPEAKER_01Oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_02They're delicious. I gotta see a note. Did I see what other thing? Wait, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_01I gotta do a Vikings note when we come back. Okay. We got what was that? We got controversy. With the Vikings? Mm-hmm. I missed something?
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
Vikings Quarterback Controversy
SPEAKER_01There's a guy walking the dog into our studio.
SPEAKER_00All right, we'll be right back.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That last segment didn't last very long. We kind of went down with the brandies a little too quick there.
SPEAKER_01Did it? We must have spilt. I hope not. Did you spill in the studio? I didn't. I thought maybe you did. I think I only had a half a cup.
SPEAKER_00Did you not fill it? No. No. I was trying to be polite. Who are you being polite to when you don't have a fill your cup with?
SPEAKER_01I don't remember.
SPEAKER_00With brandy. Somebody.
SPEAKER_01Oh, before we went to the break, and we were just finishing up the sports talk. Um, you're gonna do some controversy with the Vikings. Yeah, there's now we got quarterback controversy because you know we signed Kyler Murray from Arizona.
SPEAKER_02I did hear that.
SPEAKER_01He was the number one overall, and when he grew up as a kid, he was a um a huge Viking fan. Okay, and so he hasn't been doing so hot the last couple years, but he was the number one overall pick in like 2019 or something like that. Right, right. So we got him for a million dollars, which Arizona's paying him like 30 million still, and then now Carson Wentz just re-signed this the other day. So now we got Carson Wentz, Kyler Murray, and JJ. So, what does that mean? Another losing season. That's basically what it means. Yeah, so basically you got nowhere. Kyler Murray could be good. JJ Vicar, these experiments over with, it's done. Yeah, I don't think he's maybe. Maybe no, I don't think he's got it. First of all, he can't stay healthy. Yeah, that's the whole problem. He can't stay healthy long enough to even see what he's gonna do.
SPEAKER_00You don't you don't know what he's gonna do because he can't stay healthy a lot.
SPEAKER_01Sometimes when these quarterbacks go to another situation, they actually resurrect their career. Like look at our guy last year or though they can, but if you can't do healthy, I know, but I'm saying Murray.
SPEAKER_00Oh, Murray. Okay, right. No, right. It could be good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we never know.
SPEAKER_00I mean, supposedly, you know, he's we have the quarterback whisperer coach, you know.
SPEAKER_01So I mean it's well, we'll see what happens. So that's what I was gonna bring up. I don't know about Wentz. I don't think he's really why would they must have got him cheap. Oh, yeah, I'm sure. Well, he got hurt last year. He had a surgery. He was doing better than JJ McCarthy. Yeah, he was, but McCarthy sucks. I'm sorry, he seems like a nice fellow, but he sucks. He I don't think he's got it. Everyone he does one good thing and then they act like he's like the best thing ever. Well, that's his job. I don't think he's got it. I don't think he's I don't think he's like that. Remember when he walked it in for a touchdown, he celebrated like he won the Super Bowl? Yeah, yeah, I remember that. You know the whole reason why we're not in the goddamn playoffs, you jag ass? Yeah, no. I agree. That was no good. Anyways, enough of that. Um oh, that one's good. I think I'm a Lions fan, though, isn't I still? Am I still going back to that? I don't know. That window's over, I think, too. Like they did, they had their windows. They blew it just like we did.
SPEAKER_02No, they didn't do good either.
Cruise VIP Perks Food And Tipping
SPEAKER_01Did you um did you uh so I went on that trip, did I tell you that? We kind of talked about that, didn't we? No, no, we didn't talk about the air. Because you're going on a trip coming up next weekend. Yep, you just got back from a trip. I did from the the Caribbean Caribbean. I did on a cruise. I'll give you a couple. I'm not really a big cruise. I'm kind of nervous about grooming cruises. Well I will tell you this. I was as well, or also. You did a couple cruises now, though, right? Yeah, and I think um so I would say this like this last time what we did, we we paid a little bit extra money to get the VIP. Um, of course you did, but it wasn't the real VIP, that was the stuffy people. Like there's another VIP above us, right? We're in the middle VIP. That's perfect. Because it was the fun people that paid extra, so we don't have to be with like other people, right? Right. So they'll you don't want to be those people. No, it limited to a hundred people in this deck, right? So we had our own, like they didn't have a they had a cold shower, they had a hot tub, and they had they had um we had our own bar and bartenders. What do we need a cold shower? Oh, it was hot, and so they didn't have a cold pool, like the other were the main people hang out with, they had a pool. Yeah, but there's probably a lot of pee in it because there was thousands of people. We only we only had a hundred people in our little area.
SPEAKER_02You don't think you don't think they peed in it?
SPEAKER_01We didn't have a pool. Oh we had a hot we had a cold shower you could go cool off and we had a bar. Was it hot down there? Yeah, like what was the tempest down there? It was in the 80s, and then the one day it felt like 90. The hottest day it was like 93, but when you're on the boat up on the top, you got a breeze coming, right? So we played a lot of like euchre and drink and stuff when we got back to the boat. So we had to be back by four o'clock. We didn't have to, we chose to because these bartender dudes they do shot o'clock at four o'clock. Shot o'clock?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, what is that?
SPEAKER_01They make us two everyone two shots. These fancy glass, they make these great shots, they were good. I'm not kidding. I'm not a shot o'clock. I'm not a big shot guy. I'm not either, but you would have liked these. They were all good. They two every night we'd have two different shots.
SPEAKER_02Shooting me back by four o'clock just to go get your shots.
SPEAKER_01We did. Okay. Yeah. That makes sense. I'm all right. It was good. And everyone there was so cool. Everyone on our deck was so on this little group. Did you tip? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, we'd got to take care of them. They were good people. Yeah. And uh they would do like uh did they ever ask the people about that?
SPEAKER_00Because Europeans don't tip, right? And that's like this, not a part of their culture, but the US is like a tipping culture.
SPEAKER_01I it is it was weird because not I don't feel like I tipped enough, and then I found out my wife was tipping and my cousin was tipping, and then I feel guilty because I'm like, because other people are like they don't you don't tip. I don't know what the rules are. I don't think. Uh-oh. What's happening now? I don't know. I hear something like that. We got some coming down or thing, but anyway, these bartenders guys were super cool. The people on this VIP thing were super cool. And it was a good time. And they had good, we had good food, good, good everything. It was good, it was a good time. It was good. Everything was good. You would have liked it. You would have liked we I don't know. I'm not, I I still swear. I was nervous about going on cruises because they had good food. They had good food. The only thing they didn't have E and J, but they had good drinks. I had like a lot of like whatever. I had everything. Because your your your second go-to was like the Jim uh Jameson Ginger. I had a lot of we drank a lot of Jameson Ginger. Yeah, a lot. A lot. And that's see for me. That's it's like that's like an okay. I I well I know it's okay, but we tried other things, and they had like Bud Light, or uh they had Coors Light. Okay, they had regular beer there too, so I had beer sometimes. I had a bloody every morning. Well, you there were short ones, but I said they're so good. Huh. But then we went and did like uh snorkeling and did some other excursions when we went there, and that was fine. The best thing was we had these massages the last day. Because we were in a hunt. What's he doing? He's running. They're trying to pull everyone. Oh he fell. There, the the the boys are out there with the lawnmower pulling a dirt bike, trying to jumpstart pop start the motorcycle. The two boys looks dangerous. I know. This doesn't look like a good idea. We would never do anything like that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, kick her, you gotta kick her down now. You're gonna even the lawnmower's like go like a mile an hour.
SPEAKER_01I know. How's that gonna work? Well, you just gotta turn it over, pop the clutch. But yeah, so I would say I would say the night time was fun. I mean, we didn't we mostly day drank. We didn't we whooped it up like maybe one or two. I don't think we stayed up late, maybe two nights. Most of the time we were like, you know, because you're drinking all day.
SPEAKER_00Well, especially if you see the sun, too. That sun kicks your ass.
SPEAKER_01Which was fine. We were like, ah, we're done. But we one night we went and stayed late and we played uh blackjack at the casino. Yeah, and we won. I won. Uh Dr. Maddie Ice. He I think he lost, but I was winning. You got his money basically. I I you took his money. Well, he was doing better, and then I was down, and I put more money in, and then I I came ahead. It was a lot of fun though. They had crap.
SPEAKER_00Was it regular blackjack or was it like those stupid games they have that blackjack?
SPEAKER_01But I did side bets. They had side bets. Oh, they did have side bets. And I won on side bets. That's where you won most of your money? No, I won on blackjack mostly. But it was good, it was fun. Everyone there was so nice, and then they had like a comedy people they had, they had like uh line dancing lessons. That was kind of funny.
SPEAKER_00So from four o'clock till what time do you usually get off? Like I'm just kind of curious about it.
SPEAKER_01At night, so four o'clock we would we would stay at well, we would stay until probably about five thirty-six up there drinking, playing cards. We'd play a lot of anchor, and then they would go get ready, we'd go to dinner. Right. And then after dinner, depending on the day, sometimes we're like you know, ready to call it.
SPEAKER_00But um that was me last night after eating a half a pound of yeah, because they we went to a we went to a freaking store.
Louisiana Road Trip And Duck Dreams
SPEAKER_01Tonight we went to hibachi and was so good. Oh my god, so good. And steak and hibachi, and they're that was good. And then we went to a steakhouse one night. I don't know. It was good food. And it wasn't all I didn't eat any buffet. No, I don't, yeah. And then we had like they have a sports bar where one day we had like wingies and like nachos and beers, and yeah, it was it was alright. I mean, it's not I mean, I'm okay not doing it again, but I'd be okay doing it again. I'm not like either that. It wasn't holy crap, but it wasn't still fun. It it's not for us for anyone. It's like you and I. If you were a Dr. Made Ice, he's always good people, right? But it's like you you and I, we have fun in goddamn Des Moines Des Moines here. Right, it doesn't matter where you're at. But it but it makes it a lot easier when everyone's in a good mood. Right, for sure. Right. It was a good time, but anyways, you're heading down to uh New Orleans. No. I thought you were in New Orleans, oh not New Orleans, uh Duck Dynasty. I'm going to Louisiana. Louisiana. Yeah, yeah. But not all the way down to New Orleans.
SPEAKER_00We're going to uh uh Monroe. Rustin. Rust is right next to West. Rustin. Rustin. Rustin, which is right next to West Monroe, where Duck Dynasty guys are. Duck Dynasty guys, yeah. They're Western Right. Dynasty guys are in West Munro, and we're gonna be in Rustin, which is just you know the next town.
SPEAKER_01I watched a show this morning.
SPEAKER_00What show?
SPEAKER_01They have a new one on Annie. Who? The Robertsons.
SPEAKER_02What are they doing?
SPEAKER_01It's called Dynasty Revival. No, really? They have their kids on there. The kids they've always had the kids on there. I just caught the end of it where they're doing one of their meals. The one the old man's the old man's no longer. He's no longer is Miss Case still longer. I don't know. But this was Willie, the main guy. I've talked to I talked to Chase. I know you I FaceTimed him. I know you did. That was awesome. He was at my mom's uh country club. I think we talked about it in the end. Your mom's country club. Think about that. Think about that, you guys. It's a thing down there. Everybody's everybody's a part of his. That was cool, though. Everybody's a part of the country club. I wasn't I the only thing I would say is why didn't you line up some hunting spots?
SPEAKER_00Because I was sitting on the couch with a Baby at the time. It was like uh a baby. Yeah, when my kids were little.
SPEAKER_01No, it was not. Yeah, it was later than that.
SPEAKER_02No, it was 10 years ago.
SPEAKER_01Did you know that I hooked up uh I got a phone number on the cruise and the the VIP deck or area we stayed in? I got hunting spot up by north of uh Devil's, South of Canada.
SPEAKER_00I that's a perfect area.
SPEAKER_01If you look at a map, I mean that's like all I got. I got his phone number. And and and Daryl didn't. I've been bugging my Daryl double checked it and looked it up on Onyx. Yeah. And it's legit? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Really? I've been bugging my mom down for Louisiana. She keeps trying to like line me up with like deer hunting or something like that. No. They have like no deer down there. No, they're deer there. They're the size of coyotes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we need to get duck hunting spots. I want to hunt the timbers. Yeah. I don't know about flooded timbers. Or just in the field. That field's fine. I think you had the flooded timbers. I think you had the floods. Look at these thinky. Look at your kids. What the hell? You should be videotaping this. I know.
SPEAKER_02Hey, fun police, go videotape this for me, will you?
Belize Taxi Tension And Massage Story
SPEAKER_01Something funny. You might actually go to the emergency room tonight, fun police. Yeah. It'd probably be easier if Hayden could actually touch the ground. He doesn't even have a helmet on. He doesn't even have a helmet on. He doesn't have a helmet on. What are they doing? That's funny. I wish we could have this. Well, we have we don't have the camera crew here tonight. We had them a couple times ago they were on the camera crew was here. Anyway, so that was our travels, our worldly travels. I will say, can I just add one last story? We went on to this. So we went to Cozumel and then we went to um Toulouse. Not Tulum. Touloom? No, that's Mexico. No, what's that? What's the country south of Mexico there? Belize. Belize. We went to Belize. Then we went to Honduras. And then we came back to another spot. The last spot we were at. Those are all like the triangle like countries, or you had like a lot of crime and shit. We were on the coast. We had no problems. Oh, we almost did have problems in Honduras. No, not Honduras. The other place. Belize. We were trying to get a cab because we already had it. Belize is supposed to be like it. Kind of shitty. We already had it like lined up. And these dudes like come up and like they surrounded us. Like close, like in our space. And I'm like, I thought we were gonna throw down. I got a little my knit my hair and I'm neck stood up a little bit because I was like, why are you guys getting so close? I mean, they were like right here. You guys need taxi? Taxi, taxi. I'm like, we already got it right. And then they surrounded me a little bit, like three guys, and I'm like, Well, they wanted to they wanted to- I don't know if they were gonna rob me or what? I was like, I'm going down. I don't care. I'm dying today. I'm gonna I'm not I'm not getting any money to these guys. I'm not gonna try to like stereotype ear, but no, they were aren't they like aren't people? But then that guy aren't people in that necklace would usually see smaller conduct. Yes, they weren't very big, okay, very thin. But there was they were like not scared, they were like aggressively getting in our face. I was like if you get enough of them, I suppose. I didn't like it. And then one guy's like he said something Spanish and we refined. But anyways, um that last that last day, that last day we uh we set up uh a deal where we got massages, and I thought, I thought Dr. Maddie Ice and those guys were talking about happy endings the whole time, and I thought, swear to god, that they paid my lady. It was only$20 for an hour. That's ridiculous. It was awesome. I hear another you know, a tipped her afterwards, but she's like, Are you nervous? Oh, the ladies did that? She kept whispering in my ear, are you nervous? And I'm like, what did these guys do? Did they pay her extra to do something funny? Because she was when I was on my stomach, her hands were going closed everywhere. They always do, though. I mean, really close, like millimeters. They're always pretty close. And then when I flipped over my back, I think she touched a couple times, and then she said, Are you nervous? And I'm like, I thought those guys playing a prank on me, like they paid her extra. Right. So then I finally decided, you know what? Fine, fine, I'm going with this. I'm gonna just okay, that's what we're doing. It was so good though, it felt so good. She even like took her nails and like my skin.
SPEAKER_03Oh, your skill. Oh, that's that's so good. Oh my god. Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_01When I first laid down, so we get this deal, we all get an hour.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, she's the hands are kind of that little oh god, yeah.
Legions Florida Traffic And Bingo Drama
SPEAKER_01I was laying face down, she put this thing in front of my face when I'm laying down. I thought it was a chloroform. I thought it was ether, chloroform. Yeah, she's like, breathe in. I'm like, I'm like, wait a second. Why would you do that? But it was like this minty stuff, like right, it was good, and then oh, it was great. I'm telling you, I was thinking someone put a rag in for my face instead of easy. Well, I wasn't like I was on this table and it was below my face. I was like, I think it was to get you to relax a little bit or whatever. It was great. Are they still cruising around? Oh yeah. That's funny. Yeah, it was a good time, anyways. But yeah, no, so I gotta I went to northern Louisiana. Oh, I put New Orleans. Yeah, no, it's Louisiana, Rostin. So I gotta, yeah, we're we're road tripping it. Yeah, you're driving again? We're driving again. Oh my god, what's wrong with you guys? And my mother's gonna be down there.
SPEAKER_00We're not flying down there. Why? Because the kids want to look for more voters? Yeah, they want to look for stuff for their trucks, yeah. Because it's down south, so they have like rest-free stuff.
SPEAKER_01You could probably take that sliding glass door out and put a garage door in there, and then they could drive their trucks in too. No. What? No, why? We're not doing that.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, no, we gotta go down there and uh we're helping Ma. We're helping Ma. She wants to move. She's moving.
SPEAKER_01I would have came down to help, but nobody asked, asked if they needed help. I don't I wouldn't do it to you. Oh, I wouldn't I like you too much. I would have came down. I don't want to go down. I would have lined up some hunting spots in the in between.
SPEAKER_00You know what? I will have to look for that. I will have to see if I can go out to maybe go to a couple restaurants, maybe. Maybe that's what we should do. That's maybe my focus, I think. I'm gonna go to some restaurants first of all and see if they have each other.
SPEAKER_01Oh, go to Legion. Legion.
SPEAKER_00I'll find a Legion. A Legion, I'll get it, I'll get an E and J.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I bet you they haven't. And then I'm gonna talk to people and see maybe it's Legion's got you know that you know that duck hunters hang out to Legion. It's not season right now, so they're up there at the Legion having a couple cocktails. Yeah, I know. That's great. These are delicious. Legions are great, they are good.
SPEAKER_00I I go to Legion here all the time. That's my go-to. If we're gonna go out to eat, I'm gonna go to Legion.
SPEAKER_01Well, we don't have food. Food is okay.
SPEAKER_00We don't have food in our Legion. We have food. Well, you do, but I love chicken wings up here, are awesome.
SPEAKER_01They got good brandy there. They got good, they got good brandy and good chicken wings. Yeah, I like yeah, they do have good chicken wings there.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I like our chicken wings up here. And the steak. The steak, the last time I had it was not good. But usually it's a kind of a it's kind of a shitty steak. Is Shelby still there? Oh, yeah, on uh Saturday nights.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you should tell her I said hi. We haven't seen her for a while. She's still at the theater. Or she listening, she's listening.
SPEAKER_00I'm telling her hi right now on the on the she's uh she's like a big deal at this at the Legion now. She's uh she's got like a a position with the Legion, like some kind of uh she a veteran? No, but I think her dad was. Oh or something, or I think she's somehow related.
SPEAKER_01Who would ever do that?
SPEAKER_00But I think she's like she does like I don't know what she she does something with the Legion, like like uh as a leadership role.
SPEAKER_01Who would ever take their uh parents or grandparents' um uh military ID number and become a member of a Legion? Who would ever do that? You know that cube called and his dad wouldn't give him the number at first. Yeah, I know. Is he trying to get in for down there? Yeah, down in Florida. I know my I know my grandfather's one. Well, yeah, you just gotta use the number and get in. It's because here's why. Because if you don't have a membership and you get a uh E and J Coke at um down in Florida, yeah, in um it's three dollars and fifty cents. But if you have a membership and you have a card, it's three dollars. It's three dollars. Yeah. I asked the Legion up here one time. I'm like, I'm like, hey, what is it? It doesn't transfer.
SPEAKER_00It yeah, I can't I can't work there. She's like we don't we don't do anything for members. There's no there's no price difference. Oh, well down there they do. Yeah, up here they don't.
SPEAKER_01Oh, in fact, we didn't even get see them last time we were down there. We were down there a couple weeks ago. We went in there to go say hi, right? We went in there for your cruise? Before our cruise we were down there. So you stopped in there before you went down to no like two weeks before that we were down there. I didn't know that. Yeah, we were down there for like four days. We went and saw my cousins and stuff, and then uh oh, I did know that. We went in there, we went there. They still had the brandy. Yeah. And but the main guys wasn't there? No, their lady. Their daughter was getting married the next day. And so I bet that other guy from we met the other guy from Boston. That tall guy. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So he was like, I think you guys could probably go to the wedding. I think you guys are you guys have come here enough where you guys are in. Because we're all going to the wedding tomorrow. I'm like, I'm not going to the wedding. I didn't get it. I didn't get an invite. I'm not gonna show up. No, you guys, you guys are in. And I'm like, no, because we saw uh Negs' uh we went one two days down to Nags' parents because they bought a place just south of us, right? It's not that far, but the traffic was terrible, so it's like that's Florida. Florida's like Los Angeles. Not as bad as Los Angeles, but it was it was like it took longer to get to the freeway than it did to get to their house. Like their house was like 15 minutes once you got to the freeway, but it took 30 minutes to get from our house to the freeway. It was silliness. Florida traffic is not good. But we went and played bingo there that night. Did I tell you this? No, we went and played bingo with the old timers, and so we went up there early.
SPEAKER_02And um, this is where you're at Neg's parents' place? Yes, so you went to like a Legion over there?
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02It was a Legion.
SPEAKER_01It was The Legion, it was our Legion.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know your Legion, but that was later.
SPEAKER_01We went there, but when we got there, we went down to Nag's parents and we spent the night there. But when we got there, we're in the pool. They had a community pool. It's like an old person's place, you know, like whatever. And they all golf carts, they had alligators in there. It's kind of cool.
SPEAKER_00I don't think that's cool. And then I don't like those.
SPEAKER_01So they're like, hey, we want you guys to play bingo. I hate mingle. You know how we like bingo. I hate bingo. Oh my god. I couldn't even sit still.
SPEAKER_02Like a week ago, fun places over like you're like, hey, just a reminder, I gotta play. I'm going to bingo tonight. I'm like, as long as I don't gotta go, have fun.
SPEAKER_01There was probably 150 people in this rec center playing bingo. It's so boring. I hate boring. Me and Nags and my daughter, Sally, and um Nags' sister were there, and we were by far. I think the next youngest person was Nags' dad. Oh, really? And then after he liked bingo? I don't know, but we caught we caused problems because he went in there early. We went up there early with a golf cart and we saved the spot on the table. Oh, that was not a good idea. Really? That was controversial. We got there and we go to sit down because we're like, we're gonna save this. And he thought that was a rule. They're kind of new in this community, right? So they went, they thought that's what you're supposed to do. Oh the you can't say spots. Well, the bingo police came out. The bingo police is like, hey, no, you can't be doing this. You can't save spots, and we're like, he's like, I got my daughter and her husband and my granddaughter and everything. So I was trying to what do you mean they did it last week? No, you can't they can't be doing this, and some not just them, it was other pla other patrons. They can't be stealing, it's like these old people are like getting those seats. So you can't steal because wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_00Is that because there's like let's say there's like a hundred seats, right? And it's full. I'm just saying, if there's a hundred seats, you can't save it because then somebody else can't come in and I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I never got to we might have to ask Neg's because I don't know. I never got to the like limited seating and somebody can't go because you're holding seats. Well, we were there early. We were there, we were there like a half, we were there like a even with the holding seats, we were there like a half hour early. Probably a half hour early. First of all, that's sad. And I don't even know. I think what did we drink?
SPEAKER_00Did you bring a flask?
SPEAKER_01I think so.
SPEAKER_00I can see I can see him doing that.
SPEAKER_01I think we brought flask.
SPEAKER_00I can see him bringing a flask. I can see him be prepared.
SPEAKER_01I don't like and I tell yeah, and I tell you what, I don't like bingo. I can give it one more whirl, and I'm like, that's it. That's at the time we don't enjoy it. And we were drawing on the I got yelled at by Neggs. Yeah, because we were drawing. Yeah, no, I don't like it. I don't like it. Yeah, Negs was yelling at me because serious there too. Yeah, so you don't like that. I was messing with the old people and they're like, shh, I'm like, you shh.
SPEAKER_00Farm police was at it one the other day, and that's somebody, some old some guy was he's probably he's probably having a good time trying to talk to people.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and he and he missed his number and he ended up losing like the thousand dollar winner because he didn't miss he didn't call it because he was tit chatting and his wife got mad at him.
SPEAKER_01They're gonna slow it down. What's the rush? Why am we such a rush?
SPEAKER_02Why is a rush?
SPEAKER_01And then old people, everything else is done slowly, right? When you're that age in your retirement community, everything else is done at a snail's pace. Bingo should be done slowly, but that's not in bingo. Bingo were in a hurry. They should like repeat the number like 20 times. B52, I'm 19. 8, whatever, and 20. B52. Yeah, B with B like. B15.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh 52. I 12. Whatever it is. That's like slow down. You guys are in a slow pace at everything else you do in this life. You spend a whole day for a doctor's appointment. You spend a whole week scheduling things, and then when it comes to bingo. You give you your doctor's appointment an hour and a half early, right? Bingo, it's like I'm like, holy smokes, people, calm down. Let's have a little time. What a fan. There was one guy. Well, actually, there's one guy that they met friends with. He was funny. He had some jokes. He was good times. I like that guy. But was he paying attention? Did he care if he won or not? No, he was there. He was younger. He's there for the fun. He didn't have great hair. He was like brumbling. But he's there to have fun. He didn't care less if he won. Right, and he retired at a younger age. He's probably in his maybe 60. He was good peeps. He was good peeps. He laughed. Well, you got him going a little bit. But anyway, this was fun. Yeah. It was fun. I don't know. I don't like Bingo. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I have no idea.
SPEAKER_01No well. Anyways, how much time do I got left? I got like two one more, two more, one more. All right, let's make it quick. I gotta pee. I gotta make a cocktail. I need a new brandy. I was gonna talk about pickleball, but I'm gonna save that until next time because I'm pickleballowed. I'm gonna do the next two and then we're gonna call it a good. I gotta go pee though. Alright, we'll rip back.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Yes. Alright, so though you uh you got some notes over there, and you got like two more little topics you wanted to get into, but well you don't share your notes with me.
SPEAKER_01No, we can't do that. You're waiting for like a true reaction. I think this one will probably wait till now because I was talking about the the Lakers season, and I don't think we're quite there at Lakers season yet. So when I was I got actually, you know, did you know by the way? By the way.
SPEAKER_02What?
Hernia Surgery And The Dreamy Surgeon
SPEAKER_01You know what? I got it April 24th.
SPEAKER_02What about April 24th? What?
SPEAKER_01I'm going to the hospital.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's right.
SPEAKER_01I did know about that. I'm getting a hernia surgery. Why I can't do it. Why can't I hear you? Oh, there it is. Oh, you should come and videotape it. No, I'm not gonna videotape it. Why not? What happens if there's a lawsuit we can make some money? I don't they probably that's probably why they won't let you videotape it. They probably won't even let you in there to go videotape it because of that. You should come in and you can put your um you know how you like um wearing masks all the time? You can wear a mask.
SPEAKER_00Can I do can I do a sign field and like drop a juji? Or a thin mint. Or what was it again?
SPEAKER_01Something that goes in your body. He's a mitten. He said it's gonna be a thin or a narrow incision.
SPEAKER_02Was it that? Remember that remember that one where like Kramer and Jimmy. He dropped like a Juju Juju.
SPEAKER_01I don't even know if I want uh Negs. Negs is because I need a driver, and this I'll be I'll admit, I'm not into dudes and anything like that, but this guy is he's he's a handsome fellow. Wow, he's a young, handsome fellow guy. Interesting, yeah. And I don't want I'm so doctor young and handsome. Yes, and I think if neg's comes there, he's scoring all the time. Oh yeah, oh yeah, he's is he married? I don't know, but I'm a little concerned that I'm gonna be put under the the what do you call it anesthesiology or whatever. Do they put you up for that? Lightly. I think that's why they do it. They tease me. He's gonna be like, oh, look at what I'm doing to your wifey. Look at this. You can't move. It's not funny. Not funny. I'm a little concerned because he's more dreaming mic dreamy than the one that put staples in her forehead when when Arod got bat to his hit her head. Oh yeah, I wasn't there, so I don't know.
SPEAKER_03I don't know what my dream looked like.
SPEAKER_01That guy looked like uh the guy from Patrick Dempsey kind of yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what this guy, and again, I'm not again he he's pretty sharp-looking, dude. Really? Yeah, he was he's an handsome fellow and younger guy. And I'm like, oh no. He's a doctor.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, a surgeon.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00I'd be nervous about that. Did he get the did he get the surgeon like did he pass it because he was a attractive person? No, he was good people. He's got he's got does he have good reasons?
SPEAKER_01He was actually I I think I might ask him to get on the caster because he was pretty sweet. He got it all going on. Good luck and good people. I think he likes E and J. Really? Oh my god. Yeah, he's good shit. All right, I kind of like that. Yeah, I got it. He's pretty good people.
SPEAKER_00We another one met him for a half hour and he's I mean, just think about that. We've had Maddie Ice on here talking about the old VR stuff, right?
SPEAKER_01Oh, we have some other ones? Oh, we had some good ones down there on the trail.
SPEAKER_00Oh, 4th of July. I can't wait for the fourth of July. We're doing this on 4th of July again, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's what I have. Oh, that's what I was gonna do. That was my second topic. I'm glad you brought it up. That'll be our last one. I'm gonna put it down. So no, I will yeah, he's coming.
SPEAKER_00I know he's coming up for fourth. I talked to him when we did bingo night that night. I talked to him for like You did Bingo.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's right when we talked to him. Yeah, we you called him and I saw I talked to him for like five minutes. I don't know why I did it. During bingo, but I got it right here now. So he's coming up for 4th of July. So this is what we talked to Bolt.
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Oh, how much time I got?
SPEAKER_00We can be good any time right now, actually. Technically, we're over an hour.
SPEAKER_01So we got Dream Raven Dreamy doing my penicitis.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, not penicitis, because I had a weird saying that like that.
SPEAKER_01It was uh it's a little weird. No, he was he was actually good shit. He's a hand, but he's a handsome fella. I would say he's handsome, yeah. And a boy, yeah. Good for him. Not quite Kenny Rogers, but a younger Kenny Rogers. No, he was pretty good.
SPEAKER_00What the hell was that band with Kenny Rogers in before we?
Chuck Norris Memories And Movie Talk
SPEAKER_01I know you gotta look it up. That's a great song, too, by the way. You know, he passed You just died? Oh my god, I just forgot about this. This is a side note. Oh yeah. Chuck Norris! Chuck died. Do you think he's gonna just did it and he's gonna dig himself out like in a week?
SPEAKER_00I mean, that's kind of the like the that would go true for his jokes, right? For the the the the Norris to the biggest.
SPEAKER_01He's gonna ding himself out, right? I mean, what do you do with the Chuck Norris jokes now? I don't know, because when he does push there was the earth move, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I I'm pretty sure there was some death ones in there before that he like scared death or somebody's yeah, like yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I didn't scare him. I didn't even know he was bad. No, I don't know. They haven't came out and said what happened because I think it was like uh did he overdo it on the uh on the uh incline little machine he uses? Was it a bullflax thing or something? Not bullflex thing, whatever. It was called um talk about right though him and Christy Brinkley, yeah. Yeah, yeah. What if he overdo the total gym? Total gym. Yeah, yeah. And then they had this thing out now lately. They were doing this green, him and his wife were doing this green tea thing, and I was gonna buy some. Yeah, because he had perfect beard. His beard was still orange, it wasn't even great. Yeah, but I could be dying. You don't dye it, you don't dye your beard orange. Well, if it's been orange forever, I wouldn't, and I never was orange, so I guess I would. I mean he I might do a black. I mean, he he clicked the shit out of Bruce Lee back in the day. No, he lost, he got trained by Bruce Lee and he fought him, and I think Bruce Lee. In the movie, I know he lost, but I mean he was friends with Brucey. I know Bruce Lee. I was watching I came up with my reels where he fought some like professional kickboxer who was talking to crash trash back in like the late 60s. Yeah, he went in the ring with him. I was on my reels, he beat the piss out of them.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he was he was actually he actually was good.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah. I mean, think about that when he got um was it him or Stallone that was Braddock's? Weren't they stuck both stuck in Vietnam in the movies? No. What was his movies back then? He wasn't live. He wasn't Ramble. That was the last movie. That was too long.
SPEAKER_02Well, he did like uh Death Something.
SPEAKER_01No, no, I'm thinking it's somebody else. He did Yeah. Well, I hop it. You got the computer there. What did he do? He did another army movie, right? He didn't well he did a lot of army movies. And then he'd come back and he he was actually he was in pretty good shape. 86 years old. I heard. He looked awesome. Yeah. He had a nice beard. Oh, he looked he looked great still. Not as good as mine, but pretty good.
SPEAKER_00Delta Force was looking at the bigger. Delta Force. That's the money. That's the big one he was in.
SPEAKER_01Was his name Braddock's?
SPEAKER_00Was it that? I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I think it was Sylvester Sloan Braddock's. One of them was Braddock's.
SPEAKER_00Braddock's the only thing I remember Braddock's was like the guy that oh that's Maddox.
SPEAKER_01Braddock's. It was it probably was that. I think he was in Delta Forces Braddock's. Yes, I think so.
SPEAKER_00Well, let's look it up here. Chuck Norris, Lee Martin. Uh Special Forces, you were turning a duh, or in the duh plot. Oh. 1980 Operation Asia Claw.
unknownWhere are you looking tonight?
SPEAKER_00He was McCoy, who was. No, he was Braddock's. Yeah, I think it was his name was Justin.
SPEAKER_01Discope, who was Braddock in the mil in the 80s or 90s, 80s movie in a military Braddock's.
SPEAKER_02Do I do the AI one?
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah. I see you cut that limb off outside of our studio. That looks nice. What are you talking about? You cut that little limb off there. It's getting too long and you cut it off.
SPEAKER_00Oh, it was getting way too long.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I love that. Gotta get that. Burn it up. Chop it up and put it on.
SPEAKER_00Braddox, bright.
SPEAKER_01I X? No. Oh B-R-A-D-D-O-X, I think. I think that's how you do it. B-R-A-D-D-O-X. 70s or what was that? 80s. Braddox in an army movie. Who was played Braddock in an army movie? I bet you it was Chuck Doris. I'm gonna go down limb and say I'm about 70% sure.
SPEAKER_02Well, I'm finding out here. Hold on.
SPEAKER_01Colonel James Jim Braddock. It was uh Chuck Norris. Yes, sir. Thank you very much. And once in a while, I guess. Colonel James Braddock, Chuck Norris. And Delta. Delta Force. What movie? Missing in Action. Oh yeah, that's what it was. Missing Action. Missing in Action Trilogy. That was a trilogy. The second one was not called Missing Action. Was that Missing Action 2 or was it First Blood?
SPEAKER_00It was they're all there's Missing in Action, Missing in Ash 2, the beginning. And then First Blood. And then Missing and then Braddock's Missing Ash.
SPEAKER_01Oh I thought, what was First Blood?
SPEAKER_00First Blood's Rambo.
SPEAKER_01Oh, is that Rambo?
SPEAKER_00I'm getting a little confused. You know what? I'm gonna have to go on a little I'm gonna go on a little journey here and check these old ones out again. It's not a bad movie. I don't know if I've seen them first.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he don't mess around.
SPEAKER_00Since I was little, probably.
SPEAKER_01He don't mess around. He don't mess with Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris is easy. He's got street cred.
SPEAKER_03So this was the yeah.
SPEAKER_01The Michigan Action movies. It sounds like he went he flew out to Hawaii. I don't know if he lives there or he was owned in Hawaii and something happened. Something happened in Hawaii, yeah. Something happened suddenly that wasn't like I can't see him living in Hawaii. No, maybe not. Do you think he's in like Colorado or Montana? I bet. Yeah. His address. Should we said I get well? Or no? Alright, condolences. He's good peeps. I liked him. He's good. I liked his good fellow.
SPEAKER_02I liked his movie. You know what I liked him in his dodgeball at the very end. Yes. He was the deciding factor.
SPEAKER_01It all came back to there.
SPEAKER_00Thank you, Chuck.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Thank you. Whatever his name was. All right. Last thing I was going to talk about. So Chuck was born in Oklahoma. He was born in 1946. Lived in California. 1946 or 1945. 1940. 40? Yeah, he was. He was five years older than my dad. So he was 86 years old. But he was in Texas. Yeah, Lubbock's. Right? Lubbock's? Uh Grimes County. Was that my Nova, Nova Soda?
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_01Kind of like a Minnesota. He's one of us. Nova Soda. Good people. Nice beard. Very good beard. Very polite. Nice hair. But they won't, they won't say why or what happened. No, they said they're trying to keep it secret. He didn't jump off a bridge, did he? That's what I was worried about. Why would he jump off a bridge? Because he was probably showing.
SPEAKER_00The bridge would jump off of him.
Chuck Norris Shots And Ice Debate
SPEAKER_01Exactly. That's exactly what I was going to say. If he jumped, it would just push the bridge down. Right. He's great as ever. So, okay. So I love Chuck Norris. I love Chuck Norris. He's gonna shot after his name. Hey, you want to do a Chuck Norris? Did he really? Yes, it's good. It's actually tasty. That's only one shot that you would like. It's like fruity. It's like fruit juice. It's like uh hey, what's in a Chuck Norris? It's like uh uh like uh you know that you know that high C in the can where you took the bottle opener, the can, the big can, a high C, the fruit punch, and you took the bottle, the old bottle and you open it, and you put that in it, and you put a little bit of the ginger ale with it. Like the church punch.
SPEAKER_00All right, the Chuck Norris, the the most popular Chuck Norris shot, the classic bar version. Ingredients, here it is Irish whiskey, option Jameson, Tabasco. Really? Yeah, how it's served. Whiskey poured in a shot glass, a few drops of hot.
SPEAKER_01That's not a that is not a Chuck Norris. That's what this is what the Chuck Norris, that's a pre.
SPEAKER_00A less gum. Oh, wait, wait, wait, less common gimmick version. Yeah, that's what I'm doing. Yeah, yeah, this is cinnam whiskey, fireball, and hot sauce.
SPEAKER_01That one was not no hot sauce. There was no hot sauce.
SPEAKER_02And then there's another one. Why is it no? That's all.
SPEAKER_01It was like fruit punch. No, there's no fruit punch. It's all hot sauce. Girls, what's in a Chuck Norris? It's good, right? Oh, wait, there's a spicier hardcore version, which is whiskey or bourbon and hot sauce with a dash of black pepper and pickle juice. A Chuck Norris is like a fruit punch shot, like a girly girly shot.
SPEAKER_00Why would Chuck Norris have a girly shot?
SPEAKER_01It's a whole high energy. Often is it spicy? It's a blue version. Two parts of ice blue and one part cherry McGillan cutty. Yes, cherry McGillan cutty. That does not show up on this thing. That's what it is. You're you're wrong. You're you're see, this is the listeners. This is the AI that he looks listens to. His AI is I AI. Incorrect AI. He's got incorrect AI, so then he goes off of it and it's incorrect. So this is why you guys always check your AI source because just because it's AI doesn't mean it's true. Because I've had Chuck Norris's. Not on my choice, but I I was being a follower, not a leader.
SPEAKER_00You just said you had Chuck Norris's.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and they were not spicy. That's like a prairie fire. Anything with Tabasco and just prairie fire.
SPEAKER_00What is in so working?
SPEAKER_01I keep circling my last topic. Chuck Norris shot. I'm asking a grok. But just do it in Minnesota. Do it in Minnesota. It's cherry. Oh, there's a few of them there. It's cherry.
SPEAKER_02Wait, here's another one. It's cherry McGillagutties.
SPEAKER_00There's grid eat vodka, a dash of hot sauce, and an energy drink.
SPEAKER_01No hot. There is energy. Yeah, you're right. I don't like them. You're right. I don't like them. It's like a red vodka.
SPEAKER_00Vodka, vodka, if blame plain vodka works, but cherry vodka, like a McGillagutties are similar. Popular fruity cherry flavor. But a dash of hot sauce.
SPEAKER_01Oh, really? Yes.
SPEAKER_00And energy drink.
SPEAKER_01Like Red Bull or liquid ice. Red Bull. I don't like them. I take it back. I do not like them because it was Red Bull.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, not a big fan. That is Red Bull, I guess I'm gonna do.
SPEAKER_01But they're easy. They're not like oh my god. You was really easy.
SPEAKER_00Is it E and J Coke?
SPEAKER_01No, right. I mean when are people gonna figure it out?
SPEAKER_00Three ingredients.
SPEAKER_01Ice? Is that an ingredient? Coke? Wait a second. Yeah. You need to put ice in the drink. Wait a second. Come back it up. Is is ice an ingredient? When you like cooking, do you say, hey, four cups of ice, please? You say water, yeah. Yeah, I didn't say water, I said ice. Well, it's the same thing. It's just bi inversion. I don't think ice is an ingredient. Because it could melt. And then it's no longer ice. Some drinks you want to drink.
SPEAKER_02I mean if I have a scotch, I mean I can put ice in it.
SPEAKER_01Was that an ingredient? Well, yeah. I think so. I think the scotch is the ingredient. The ice is just like the cup. Is it a cup of ice? Some people want it. Is it glass? Some people want it without ice. Is it glass ingredient?
SPEAKER_00No, that's a that's a vessel. That's a transportation device.
SPEAKER_01I actually agree with that. The funny thing you're saying, but that's kind of like ice. I don't think ice is just a clinker. No, you gotta have a good idea. I don't know if that's an ingredient. It's gonna get chill. Yeah, but chill. Okay. Rewind it back. Just hear me out on this. So I make you a in a vessel, a nice vessel. I put E and J brandy and Coca-Cola, but I put it in the fridge or the freezer for a good, let's just say eight, nine, ten minutes, right? So it's ice cold chilled. Is the refrigerator an ingredient? Probably not. So then I come out and you're like, oh my god, this is so good. It's nice and cold. So is ice really an ingredient?
SPEAKER_00I have to, yeah, I like that I like I need ice in mine.
SPEAKER_01I don't think it's an ingredient.
SPEAKER_00If I didn't have ice in it, I'd be disappointed.
SPEAKER_01When you say have you tried it without what if I put one cube in? That's an ingredient?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I it's still uh one's one's better than nothing.
SPEAKER_01I don't think it's an ingredient.
SPEAKER_00But it would melt too fast. I like I like I like the I like the ice in it because it gives it the I like because of this noise. Partly.
SPEAKER_01But it's not an ingredient. Well, if you did it without it, what would you do? What would what would happen? I'd go click, click, click, click, click.
SPEAKER_00You do your own make you make your own noises?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, click, click, click, click. I don't think it's an ingredient. I think it is an ingredient. Because this is water. What if you don't put it in? I'd be fine with that if I had to. I mean, I would prefer to have ice, but if it came down to it, brandy.
SPEAKER_00If you got a warm coke and a warm brandy, that's only if you're sick. Never mind. What if that's works if you're sick?
SPEAKER_01What if the yeah, you have a hot brandy and a hot hot honey? What if you had the what if you had the coke and the brandy in the refrigerator or the freezer just before it froze? You can't put coke in the freezer. Well, you can, and it says little little icy. That'd that'd be good. I don't like slushy coke. I don't like slushy. It'd be a slushy eating. No, you don't. No, and I can do it right away. No, you don't. I that I tested that in scientific theory once. It's still fit fizzy. I have tested that. Anyways.
SPEAKER_00I I think ice is an ingredient. I want ice to be in there. I don't think you I don't think you gotta assume ice.
SPEAKER_01I'm not gonna assume nothing, but I don't know. I'm not saying I I enjoy ice. I I prefer ice and I actually require ice.
SPEAKER_00I like I don't like the crunch between between drinks every once in a while.
SPEAKER_01I know I do do, but I don't think it's an actual ingredient.
SPEAKER_00If you don't put it in the ingredients list, then you don't get ice.
SPEAKER_01So it has to be on the list being an ingredient?
SPEAKER_02If you don't well, why would you put it in there if it's not on the list? Well, why would you have a glass?
SPEAKER_01So if you if you made spaghetti sauce and it just assumes you know what the tomatoes are, you need tomatoes.
unknownRight?
SPEAKER_01You don't need tomatoes, you need tomato sauce.
SPEAKER_00Well, you need tomatoes for tomato sauce. I usually do tomato sauce.
SPEAKER_01You need a jar for tomato sauce. Well, if you're gonna make your own tomato sauce, you need a jar sauce. A can. A can? If you're gonna make your own tomato sauce, do you make your own tomato paste? No, I I don't make any of it. No, I'm not saying I'm doing. I'm just saying. Nobody makes own tomato paste. You need paste and sauce. But you also need tomatoes. You do. You do, you do, so you gotta grow it. So if you just assume that you make it tract is a tractor an ingredient? Because we gotta cultivate the land and we gotta plant it, and we gotta water it. No, you just read it. So when I'm making an E and J brand, is a tractor good?
SPEAKER_03I wanna say it. I wanna say a word back. I can't say it.
SPEAKER_04Oh.
SPEAKER_01I got one last topic.
SPEAKER_00All right, we got one more. Alright, let's go. Let's wrap it up. Because we got we're at like an hour and 20 minutes or some shit.
SPEAKER_01Oh Maddie, Dr. Manny S wants to do um Did I tell you this? No. For the 4th of July? I hope we are. No. Did I tell you what he would like to do for the 4th of July? He and I he said it's not a big deal. We don't do it. He did not tell me this. He said, Hey, do you think it'd be possible if we would go tubing down the river? Oh, you did mention this. And I said, I think it'd be possible as long as the weather's good. We could probably do that. So I don't know if that's a topic for their podcast, but I thought it was because I had circled it like I don't even know what the hell it says. It says you bink. You you blink? Oh tubing. Tubing. I can't even think of the last time I've been tubing down the river. It's been well. We haven't did it since I don't even know if Nangzil was with me. We went that one time. We did it. Well, I've never done it.
SPEAKER_00I've never done it up there. I've done it, I've done it at like a few places.
SPEAKER_01It's great. We can do it. It'd be fun. But we'd have to do it on the third or the second.
SPEAKER_02Why?
SPEAKER_01Because you got the boat parade on the fourth. It's a Saturday.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_01So we'd have to do it on the second or third.
SPEAKER_00So we're going like the Long Parade River, or are we going?
SPEAKER_01No, it's the Crow River. So you go north of uh Motley. You I told you it was a Crow River. You said no.
SPEAKER_00I said the Crow River. You said no, it's not the Crow River.
SPEAKER_01It's the Crow or Crowing. I couldn't remember. Oh, you know, I said rum. Yeah, you said rum.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. No, it wasn't rum. It's a rum. It's a crowd. It's a crow. It's a crow.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But I think we should think about doing that. And just I wanted to plant the seed in your heads because I might need to get. I don't know how many tubes I got up in the um rafters. I have a bunch.
SPEAKER_00I don't know how big they are.
SPEAKER_01But I think that would be a I think that we should do that.
SPEAKER_00But as long as you want to get old school like farm like tractor tubes? I got it. I can get some from sleep farm.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think that's. Here's my concern.
SPEAKER_02Beer. How much brandy we can put?
SPEAKER_01That's not my concern. How are we gonna haul that much brandy? Who's gonna be lifeguard besides me and you? Don't call me as a lifeguard. We gotta keep an eye. I'll be lifeguard. You just gotta give you gotta I don't want no one drowdy, right? So we gotta keep an eye on.
SPEAKER_03Well, I will say this.
SPEAKER_02I have duck hunter the crow up there.
SPEAKER_01Well, we're not gonna bring a boat.
SPEAKER_02I would say it. I have duck hunted the crow, and I had to get out and walk many, many, many times. Because it was too shallow. With a with a with a flat bottom John boat. It's not deep.
SPEAKER_01And a in a in a duck in a but did you see this guy that just died in goddamn Italy or not Italy, uh, Spain last week? He went over there and he ended up in the goddamn river.
SPEAKER_02I have no idea what's going on in Spain right now.
SPEAKER_01He went over there to visit his buddies from uh uh spring break. They're uh away at college over there.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you know, he was in the window.
SPEAKER_01And he ended up die, he was all three in the morning, and his buddies left him. We're a life jagged. No, they're in this club.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think I did hear about it.
SPEAKER_01Buddies didn't buddies didn't hang with him, make sure he got home. He ended up wandering off and going in the water and drowning. No foul play. So what I'm the only concern I would say is that if we're gonna go down, let's everybody some of us gotta have some antennas going on, so nobody that's the only thing I'd say. So we gotta stick to beer.
SPEAKER_02So you're saying we need to stick to beer, we can't drink brandy.
SPEAKER_01You can, I'll stick the beer.
SPEAKER_02I can I don't stick to beer. I enjoy it.
SPEAKER_01We gotta go early in the morning or early, like 9 30, 10. So because we're gonna there's gonna be it's takes a while. It's longer than you think.
SPEAKER_02Where do you want to put in it?
SPEAKER_01There's Frank going across the uh wherever.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah. Frank's going to the neighbor's house. Frank's going to the neighbor's house. I don't think fun fun police hearing me.
SPEAKER_01You heard me. Clap.
SPEAKER_00Is he coming back?
SPEAKER_02All right.
Wrap Up And Next Chat
SPEAKER_01All right. Well, well, anyways, it was a good time chatting with everybody.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. We'll uh here he comes. We'll do this again soon.
SPEAKER_01Soon, yeah. Let's do it. After my trip to Louisiana. I want to hear all about it.
SPEAKER_00All right, we'll get into it. Because that's uh we'll I'm not gonna get into it right now. I don't know if my mom's your mom's right listening. She does listen to it.
SPEAKER_01So we'll thanks for the invite. I'm just kidding. You always invite me in. Yeah, yeah. I can't go next weekend, anyways.
SPEAKER_00All right, well, we could, but we'll get it, we'll get into the the whole thing afterwards. But it's a whole family affair. It's gonna be me, my older brother, my younger brother.
SPEAKER_01Tell Aaron I said hi.
SPEAKER_00I will.
SPEAKER_02And we'll uh we'll get into it.
SPEAKER_01All right, sounds good. All right, see you guys.
