Script DC: Tools for Building a Film Career
Mar 26, 2023 Season 3 Episode 6
Women in Film and Video (DC)

Script DC is a unique series of panels and classes from Women in Film & Video (WIFV) for anyone who loves filmmaking. It brings Hollywood-level resources to the DMV (District-Maryland-Virginia) for actors, producers, screenwriters, editors, and directors. Whether you are beginning your career or working on your third script, there are speakers and workshops to expand your skills, knowledge, and network. In this episode, host Sandra Abrams chats with Melissa Houghton, WIFV’s amazing executive director. She will share the history of Script DC, and how it can help your career. Plus, hear funny stories from past conferences and why Joan Darling, a director from the Mary Tyler Moore show, is a favorite speaker. This fall 2023, Script DC is expected to be a hybrid of conference and online.
