What is Pentecost, and why does it still matter today?

In this episode, Pastors Randy and Nate unpack the biblical significance of Pentecost and how it connects the Old Testament, the coming of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2, and the mission of the Church today.

They explore how Pentecost began as the Feast of Weeks, a celebration of firstfruits, harvest, and gratitude before God. They also walk through the powerful connection between Mount Sinai and Acts 2: fire, wind, sound, and the presence of God descending among His people.

This conversation highlights the shift from the Law written on stone to the Spirit written on hearts, the birth of the Church, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all believers. Randy and Nate discuss how Pentecost is not just about emotional experience, but about empowerment, transformation, intimacy with God, and mission.

They also talk about the marks of a Spirit-filled church: prayer, generosity, joy, fellowship, evangelism, and lives transformed by the presence of God.

Pentecost reminds us that God is not distant. His Spirit dwells within His people, empowers the Church, and continues to draw people into His harvest today.
