Speaker 1:

Hey, ladies, welcome to the Single Moms United podcast, where we cannot spell united without you. Hey, I have a special guest with me today and she just wants to share a few things with you, and that's my lovely, beautiful daughter. And hey, why don't you take it away?

Speaker 2:

Hey and hey, why don't you take it away? So it's been placed on my heart that some of y'all are out there dealing with shame. First of all, hello, hello, hello. How's everybody doing? I hope everybody's having a great day and a more successful week.

Speaker 2:

But it's been placed on my heart that some of y'all are out there dealing with shame, guilt, your burden, your heavy burden, and that is part of the reason why you feel as though you can't do it, sugar. You can't do it. You can. You are ashamed here. Listen, I need you to understand. God gave you those children. He blessed you with those children for a reason because he can trust you with those children. Okay, sure, it doesn't matter how they got here. They're here. There ain't no reason for you to be ashamed. They're here and they look at you every day in your eyes and see you as their hero. Okay, ain't no reason to be ashamed.

Speaker 2:

And let me tell you about something. Because we're in that season or that era of generational wealth, honey, you're creating a legacy for your child. Okay, when you're walking in shame and you feel condemned of holding that one to that, you can't properly build your child up when you yourself are dealing with that. So, sugar, I'm here to tell you there ain't no reason for you to be ashamed. It's already happened. You've come over it. You can't go back. All you can do is move forward. I hope and I pray that this releases somebody. Whoever this word was for honey, take it go forth, be great girl. You look great, you're pretty honey. You even smell good, because I know you got the news perfume out there, yes, and on top of that, don't let nobody steal your joy. Okay, the world didn't give it to you. They can't take it away. God bless you.

Speaker 1:

That's my baby girl. Hey, listen, and I told you all before all that you are going through and experiencing it's only temporary. I often question my own parenting skills, and when I see and hear my beloved daughter sounding the way she does, wow, I feel really good right now. And guess what? Ladies, you can too. That's what's waiting on you. That's what's waiting on you. Again, there is no perfect parent. There's just good and bad parents, so it's up to you to choose which one you're going to go after. I hope you have a great day. I hope you have a great week and an excellent month. Take care.
