Hey ladies, welcome to the Mom to Mentor podcast. If this is your first time joining, welcome. If you are a repeat listener, thank you for your loyalty. Mother's Day is right around the corner, literally two weeks away. And this episode is specific to you, a specific Mother's Day poem to encourage you, mom. I'm just trying to get ahead of the game before that time comes because that weekend promised to be chaotic. And so I wanted to share with you a poem I wrote some time ago and I found it. And I said, when is a better time than now to share that with you? Before this poem begins, I want you to feel this moment. Think about every woman who is holding a family together right now with faith and determination. Every woman who is pouring strength into others while quietly fighting her own battles. This poem is for you. So open your heart. Why? Because really, what can I say other than Happy Mother's Day? Yes, it's one day recognized out of 300, and this is not the time to become reserved. It's truly a day you deserve. Embrace this day with a hearty grin, as it will be another year before it happens again. Accept the hugs, the cards, and calls. This is the way your family shows you are their all in all. Whether you wear the title mom or mother, just know your family knows there will never be another. As a mom, I'm sure you will agree there are days which you wish you could say it's just me. You may have endured sadness and sorrow, but be shameful there was and will be a tomorrow. Now it's okay to sigh, but keep holding your head up high. There will be times you will feel misunderstood, but continue to do good. As a mom, you will always put family first, no matter your own thirst. Never forget you are a good mom, no matter of your income. The goal has always been for the family to succeed regardless of the household needs. Just continue to do your best and you will see how your family responds to life's tests. As a mom, keep in mind you were designed to shine. It's no mistake God allowed you to become a mom. He knew you would encourage love and not hate. When it comes to parenting capabilities, throw away any perception of rejection. Exert your positive parenting style and watch how it impacts your child. It's because of your personal accountability. This is what impacts your family's maturity. It's your love that is a reflection of God above. John 316 is how you build and encourage your family's self-esteem. Your determination is your family's motivation. Your family may appear they don't understand.
