Thought:

We are preparing to celebrate "Thanksgiving Day" once again.  We all face the possibility that this time next year, we may be in very different circumstances.  We could be missing relatives or friends at the table.  We may have a new group of people with whom to celebrate, because we moved, or our family moved away from us.  We could also be among the homeless, the hungry or the lost, due to the consequence of bad choices, made by, with or for us.  Since we do not know what the future holds, we will celebrate the season with Thanksgiving,

This year in addition to being "Thankful", I am asking that you do a physical, spiritual and emotional assessment of what God has brought into your life.  STOP!  Count your blessings!  I am asking that we all, intentionally assess the value to your life, of what God has provided for your sustenance, shelter, transportation, relationships, health, education, stability, longevity and your very existence.

We are so busy getting, getting, getting, that rarely do we really take, the time to look, look, look at who, what and where we are.  That is how you learn to appreciate your blessings.  I guarantee that if you look at how God has kept you through the mess of the last year, the storms he has brought you through, the challenges you have not only met, but conquered, the illnesses that you have and are overcoming, or living through while still able to contribute to your family; that the value of God's blessings will be beyond measure.  That is appreciation!

We are going into the third year of the Word of the Week.  We started with just a text from me to a few of my close friends and family to a reader and listenership that has continued to grow.  Earlier this year, my daughter prompted me to step out in an unfamiliar way by designing and helping me start my podcast that has opened up a new audience.

You have all helped me grow in the Word of God.  The preparation for the Word each week, in addition to your comments, texts and calls have validated the call for me to represent and glorify God in this positive and productive way.  You see, your participation, in all its forms, has been of immeasurable value to the production of the Word of the Week.  I encourage your comments because from them, I have gained insight, new words and in some cases, a new perspective.

The estimation of your value to this weekly word is "priceless".  I appreciate each of you because I know that your choice to read or listen and support the Word of the Week is not to be taken for granted.  I live as busy a life as you and I know that there are so many other competing options for your time.  The fact that you choose to participate with the Word of the Week, is part of His guiding force that directs me every week.   So not only am I left thankful, but so full of appreciation, that if appreciation were money, you would all be extremely wealthy.

Since I am not yet wealthy enough to ensure an increase in your financial stability, I do pray that the last words of Paul's in Philippians 4:9 is accomplished by of the Word of the Week for you.  I pray that "Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me that you can put it into practice, so that the God of peace will be with you!

I know that God is pleased. God Bless You!!Orine Out!!
