: With each other, at the same time, combined; in one place; organized, confident of your abilities, and able to use them to achieve what you want

Scriptures: Colossians 2:3 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Ephesians 4:15-16 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.  From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

THOUGHT
My family and I have been in prayer about the expansion of the Word of the Week. We have been blessed by the consistent participation of many of you who are family, friends, business acquaintances and new Christians. We continuing to move forward under the guidance of the Holy Spirit by developing a platform to increase our access to those who are unchurched, lost and who may have found themselves disconnected from God’s message of hope.
Since 2021, I have had the pleasure and the honor of sharing “The Word of the Week” via email with you. Others have joined the community through “The Word of the Week Facebook Group”. God has given me the facility and your comments have reinforced my desire to expand our message to a broader more fertile audience. Together, we have started the work of “Spreading the Word of God!
As a willing vessel committed to sharing the Word of God as God directs, I willingly admit that I am as flawed as any of us. I, too, am plagued with questions, doubts, deficiencies, concerns, struggles, and triumphs the same as you. But, through the Word of the Week, I have found joy in sharing my experiences. I hope that in my vulnerability you have been inspired to personalize your understanding of the Word, as we use everyday words to define and illuminate scriptures to help you continue to grow in your relationship with our heavenly Father.
I pray that God continues to find me worthy of sharing his Words with you. This experience has increased my personal study time, and changed the way I study the bible, while the impact of God’s influence on my life has grown. I am not only more focused but have become fully convicted in my purpose, love and commitment to God. ”The Word of the Week” is fulfilling its purpose in me, but that is just the beginning.
As together, we increase in faith and favor, it becomes our responsibility to share this Good News with others. I realize that many of you perceive this as an awkward and daunting task because just like learning to ride a bicycle is at first awkward and shaky, you may be as unsure as I was in starting the Word of the Week, that you are doing it right. We are talking about encouraging others to become students or disciples of the Word, right?
That is a tall order! We are struggling to be good disciples ourselves. What if we cannot answer someone’s questions? No one wants to be made ashamed as we are still becoming more perfect in our own faith. I feel you! I understand!
This request is a true leap of faith for me. I am stepping WAY OUT of my comfort zone.
But because of you, I am not alone. To help me with this task, I encourage you to simply use “The Word of the Week” as a tool that you do not have to explain. Forward it, share it, text it. Let us work together in meeting the needs of others who may be lost, struggling, or in need of connection with God.
You, of this “Word of the Week” community have proven to be a viable body of believers. Together, we have a commitment to help to build the kingdom of God by sharing those truths that will bring God’s people from defeat to victory, from sorrow to joy and provide peace in the midst of chaos.
Share “The Word of the Week” as you introduce others to the “Words” upon which you are building your life. Together, there is nothing that can keep up from achieving the purpose for which “The Word of the Week” was created “TO SHARE THE WORD OF GOD!”
