Scriptures: Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

THOUGHT

My granddaughter asked that I consider “Time” for “The Word of the Week”.  She COULD NOT have chosen a more difficult word for my discussion.  Well, here goes!
In grade school I was taught that it is inappropriate to define a word by the word, but as I researched the definition of time, all the definitions were similar to “time is…time that is”. This cyclical definition proves that philosophers, physicists, theologians and minds much more intellectual than mine have unsuccessfully wrestled with the definition of “time”. And it is further proof of the scripture that says: “God has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end” Ecclesiastes 3:11
Even though a clear definition of “time” may prove elusive, I will share some of my personal observations of time:
God is the author, creator and the definer of time. That makes God greater than time.
Time is life’s greatest asset whose value can never be assessed, nor if lost can ever be found, nor if wasted can ever be recovered.
Time was, time is, and time will be.
You can lose track of time, but you cannot trace the tracks of time.
Time can be calculated in seconds, minutes and hours but there is no calculator of time that can be used to measure the past, the present, nor the future.
Time can be used to determine when to pay a debt, when a baby is due, or when a task is to be completed, but time itself does not stop even if none of these things are accomplished.
There is a time for everything under heaven, but no man has the ability to change nor understand the process of time.
If you do not want to find the time to do something, you will not have the power to make the time to do it.
Taking time to rest, relax and recover, is not a waste of time.
Spending time can actually result in a positive return on your investment.
Saving time by rushing through time could result in mistakes, and a poor outcome.
The value of time depends on what you do during the passing of time.
Time is under God's personal direction and control.
Time began at creation and became the agency through which God continues to unveil his divine purpose for it.
So, to my dear granddaughter (and to my friends):Appreciate, enjoy and be grateful for the time that God has given to you.
• Use your time to the glory of God.• Allow God time to direct you as you find and establish your life’s purpose.• Wisely use your time and make choices that will be of benefit to your life and to the lives of others.• And remember: All good things come in God’s time~
GOD BLESS YOU!!
