THOUGHT

Holiday Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
As we prepare for the Holiday season, let us reflect on what it means to engage in these days of festivity and recreation, where we enjoy the holiday without work.
Lord, we who love and adore you, honor every day of existence as a blessing from you. This holiday, we will intentionally rest from our labors and honor you by participating in wholesome, healthy activities. Whether we have one or multiple days to enjoy recreation and celebration, we will remember to pray and be kind to those who have to work.
Lord, bless those who cannot take off to enjoy the holiday. Let them labor with joy and thanksgiving, acknowledging that it is you, Lord, who has provided them with this blessing as a resource for themselves and their dependents.
For those who are unemployed, I ask you, Lord, to help, support, and guide them as they seek resources to meet their financial, emotional, and physical needs.
Lord, I pray that you hear the prayers of the weak and give them strength to endure. Hear the prayers of those who are lonely and provide them with companionship.
I pray for those who are suffering in their bodies, minds, and spirits. Let them feel your presence and touch as you relieve their pain, ease their troubled minds, and surround them with your love and comfort.
For those who have no home and need shelter, I ask that you meet their needs, as you did for the mother and father of baby Jesus when there was no room in the inn.
For those who are blind to your glory, open their eyes and help them see you clearly. For those who have never heard your Word, send someone to minister and witness to them of your goodness.
For those who were faithful but have lost their way, help them find their way back to You. For those who minister and labor in your work, strengthen and guide them as they continue their ministry of serving and encouraging others.
For those who have been blessed with more than enough, help them feel compelled to assist those who are less fortunate. Fill them with wisdom, courage, and discernment as they choose to minister to those in need. Then, Lord, bless them for their compassion and willingness to address those needs.
For the elderly who are separated from their families, help them find new connections with people who will appreciate and willingly accept their extraordinary gifts of love, wisdom, and compassion.
For those who have chosen to become separated from their families and loved ones, help them find the courage to heal, forgive, and forget whatever divides them, and encourage them to seek restoration of those relationships.
For fathers, mothers, grandparents, and family members, fill them with courage, stamina, and wisdom as they guide, teach, protect, provide, and love the children.
For those children growing into adults, help them receive and digest instruction as they are taught to love and honor God as their source, comforter, and guide.
Lord, let us open our hearts and feel your spirit as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Provide your children with the time to rest, restore, recover, and become revived this holiday season.
IN THE NAME OF JESUS, I PRAY!!    AMEN!

HAPPY HOLIDAY!
