DEFINITION: A high, thick construction made of stone, brick, wood, or other materials used to enclose or divide areas, such as rooms, buildings, or properties: A continuous masonry structure built for protection, often seen in fortresses or ancient cities; A structure designed to hold back pressure from water, earth, or other materials
