Meet Khalil Houtman A Young Entrepreneur Navigating Legacy and Leadership🔴🗣
At just 8 years old, he was already operating a forklift. Today, he's one of the island's youngest entrepreneurs, running his family business, Mansion Enterprises.
Khalil opens up about his unique childhood and how he never lived a child's "typical" life. He shares how he answered the call of duty from a young age, working alongside his father at Mansion Hardware, now known as Mansion Enterprises, which Khalil now runs.
After losing his father, Khalil talks about the emotional and practical challenges of stepping up as the only one who truly knew the ins and outs of the business. He speaks candidly about mental health, fatherhood, taking risks, and the tough decisions and deep commitments that come with being a business owner.
Khalil also shares his involvement with the Sint Eustatius Motorsports Association. He shares how he's reviving a major local initiative bringing back concrete block-making on Statia, a venture he's now leading to support the island's growth and independence.
Through every challenge, Khalil continues to show up, driven by purpose and fueled by self-motivation.
