Stones, Kings, and Letters: The Unconscious Battle for Balance
Dreams provide a window into our unconscious mind, revealing our deepest fears, desires, and perceptions of the world around us. We analyze a dream about an MMORPG game world threatened by an invulnerable "Stone King" character and explore what it reveals about confronting injustice.
• Analyzing the symbolism of playing in dreams which represents good fortune, success and love
• The Stone King character represents unyielding beliefs and ambitious power that seems untouchable
• War and weapons in dreams typically indicate internal conflict or the need to defend oneself
• The dreamer's unconscious likely processing real-world power imbalances through gaming metaphors
• Cosplay represents putting on a facade or becoming someone else to address problems
• The letter to developers symbolizes taking action against injustice through proper channels
• World symbolism connects to tarot meaning of creation, victory and perfect balance
• Dreams about saving the world indicate confidence in one's abilities and positive life perspective
• Empowerment message to act against unfairness rather than waiting for others to fix problems
If you have dreams you'd like analyzed, reach out and share them with us. Whatever your cuppa was, may it overflow.
hello, here we go again sweet. All right, guys, this is an older episode, but I'm re-releasing it for your listening pleasure. Please enjoy. This is my older episode called MMORPG. It was recorded back in 2022 from a Redditor and it has some great symbology, or symbolism. Enjoy.
Sheree:Today I do not have a co-host, it is just me, cherie, and I have already had my cup to drink, so I am drinking some orange Mio, the tangerine Mio. It is delish and it also keeps you hydrated. Hey, shout out for water. It's an underrated thing. Mio is a flavor enhancer, so go for that.
Sheree:Normally I like to have some tea, but it is kind of late, so I'm just going to skip that tonight. I'm just going to skip that tonight and, without further ado, I'm going to jump right into the analysis of this dream that I did. So I found this dream from a Redditor on Reddit forum page Dreams. The original post on Reddit was done by user Lynn the Clown. So I did, and I would just like to give a little shout out to him, so thank you. If he's listening to this podcast, that's great. If he comes on the stream, that's even better. But what he posted on the Reddit forums was pretty short, so I just kind of did my best with doing the creative writing piece and after I do the creative writing piece for you the creative writing reading, should I say I will go ahead and then we can talk about the different symbols that I found and some ideas that I had about what the dream possibly meant. So, without further ado, here's the reading MMORPG.
Sheree:They blink and feel steady on their feet, heavy and out of breath. They look around to see a mess of bodies lying upon a battlefield. They look at their body and gear and realize they are a character playing with many others. And these others are players who are fighting, most carrying brightly colored banners, but all are wielding various kinds of awesome metal weapons. The players each relish in the killing of their foes and they drink in the glory of their victory. They also enjoy their spoils of war on the battlefield as well as by requesting upgrades in chats with developers back at HQ. What a great MMORPG world it is.
Sheree:Many factions participate in this bloodbath. Players join factions for a variety of reasons, one would typically expect. They're looking for certain kinds of weapons or prestige, they want to join a certain guild, they want to accomplish some specific quests, etc. Etc. However, most all factions have some kind of stance in regards to the Stone King. The Stone King is a player whose character is untouchable. The Stone King has an immunity to all meta weapons and is therefore undefeatable during player battles. There's even a faction now organized under the banner of the Stone King and they're beginning to overrun the world. Many factions are bonding together to try and prevent the seemingly inevitable fate of them all a lifetime in servitude to the Stone King. One player takes the game so seriously they decide to act in the real world. They dress in cosplay as their character player and visit the developer's headquarters. They're able to meet with the game's lead developer and they deliver a personal letter to them. It reads out how terribly overpowered the Stone King player was, and this was in hopes to get his abilities changed and bring balance back to the game world End reading. Balance back to the game world End reading.
Sheree:Okay, so I extracted that story or I extracted bits of the text in the Reddit post that they did and created the story based off of the elements that I found. We can do some analysis here. So one of the biggest things that I saw, I guess I could say to start off with was playing. So playing symbolizes general good fortune, success and love. So usually if you're dreaming about playing, it suggests those things. Usually if you're dreaming about playing, it suggests those things. I think that maybe this, probably this specific situation, has more to do with a desire to be happy and have good fortune and success. But we'll get into that.
Sheree:So the next two elements I saw, or that I identified or I shouldn't say elements, I should say symbols are the stone king. So stone king. I kind of broke it apart into two separate ideas. So stones represent or symbolize strength, unity and unyielding beliefs. Consider the common phrase etched in stone, which suggests permanence and unchanging attitudes. Some stones also carry sacred and magical meanings. Alternatively, stones relate to issues of moral judgment and guilt. To see stones in your dreams foretells numberless perplexities and failures. To walk among rocks or stones predict that an uneven and rough pathway will be yours for at least a while. If you throw a stone, you'll have cause to admonish a person. If you deign to throw a pebble or a stone at a belligerent person, an evil you fear will not come to pass because of your untiring attention to right principles. So I think that applying stone to king, maybe some of these inner symbols of what a stone can mean, like these unchanging attitudes, and that the stone happens to be sacred or has some kind of magical properties, relates to how this character is. So I think that applying stone to king, maybe some of these inner symbols of what a stone can mean, like these unchanging attitudes and that the stone happens to be sacred or has some kind of magical properties, relates to how this character is exempt from battle, at least invulnerable to, uh, battle, and also how that can be kind of unfair, because if there, if there's stones in your dream, says if you're walking among stones or an uneven pathway, you'll have a rough go if you will. So it's difficult to deal with stones.
Sheree:The second symbol that kind of connects to it is the king. So a king is symbolic of power and control. If you dream of a king, you could be struggling with might and ambition is your master. So if you dream of a king, the king could represent strength and that ambition, drive, driving them. So this particular character is driven, is very ambitious, is driven, is very ambitious, and they're struggling. The dreamer is struggling, possibly, with their strength in the real world. So putting those two things together, the stone king could probably represent someone that has very unyielding beliefs. That's very ambitious. Someone that has very unyielding beliefs, that's very ambitious.
Sheree:The next symbol I kind of picked out was war. So, according to dream analysis, war can represent or signifies disorder and chaos in the waking life. They're experiencing some internal conflict or emotional struggle which is tearing them inside. Alternatively, the dream indicates that they're either being overly aggressive or they're not being aggressive enough. Perhaps you need to be prepared to put up a fight in some area of your life. On a more direct level, the dream may be a reflection of current wars around the world and their personal feelings about it. So it is kind of a crazy time right now. So that could have something to do with what the dreamer is picking up on. However, I do think that they probably have some internal conflict or some emotional struggle which they're trying to work through, which is why we open upon a war scene and not being able to deal with what's going on, with the stone king specifically.
Sheree:So the next symbol I kind of picked up was weapons. So to see or hold a weapon in your dream indicates a need to defend and protect yourself emotionally and or physically. You're experiencing some conflict in your waking life. Alternatively, the dream may indicate hidden desire to hurt someone or something. And just a reminder dreams provide a safe haven for expressing those desires. So we're on the battlefront. Of course we're going to see weapons. So, again, it's just hearkening back to the symbol of war. This person probably has some kind of need to defend themselves, either emotionally or physically, and that's why we're seeing war and weapons. And, by the way, the Dreamer did mention meta weapons. Meta just means that the weapons themselves are. They are from a different plane of existence, basically. So they're not necessarily in the same universe. They're like transcended weapons.
Sheree:Okay, so the next kind of thing that I wanted to to pick up on was we have the dream. The dreamer is dreaming of playing this massively multiplayer online role-playing game. That's the dreamer playing the game. That was their experience. However, the dream further goes on to in their waking life. Again, they're dreaming, but in the waking life of the dream, they know someone, or perhaps they are someone that takes action to change what is going on in the realm. So the realm that all of the players are experiencing, the Stone King, this particular player that's overpowered, this person decides they're going to dress up as their character.
Sheree:So in cosplay, to go to the headquarters for the developers and explain the situation to try to get things fixed. So there's a couple elements that I picked out here, a couple symbols I should say. However, there wasn't anything for cosplay I could say specifically that I could find, but I did find something for costumes. So to see others wearing one, a costume, in a dream foretells an unusual turn of events. Make sure to see things as they really are and not as you want them to be. To dream that you're wearing a costume indicates that you're putting on a facade towards others, you don't want to reveal your true self and are not being completely honest with people around you. So I think it really kind of depends on whether the writer, the original dreamer, had this dream and they were the cosplayer, or if in the dream, they're imagining that someone else did this cosplaying.
Sheree:It's a pretty important difference, because I think that the cosplayer is the one that is empowered to do something about what is happening the injustice in the dreamer's life, the injustice in the dreamer's life. Now, if it happens to be that it's a completely different person, I would just warn the dreamer to be cautious of waiting on others to come and rescue. You expect that in any way, shape or form, somewhere in your life that you're being caused significant harm or difficulties, that someone's just going to come along and rescue you from that and everything's going to be okay. You also have to realize that you can and should be your own hero. You must do what is good for you in your life, not just for yourself, but for all of your family and friends that you have and the people that also are attached to your life, and we all want this for one another. We want to believe that other people are going to be able to take that for themselves. So, regardless of who actually was the cosplayer, in the sense, I just want to put that out there for them and for everybody you know, just to encourage you to. You know, take action. If you feel like, either in your waking life or in your unconscious, that you're getting a message that you know you should act to to prevent inequality or things that are hurtful or harmful, you stand up for yourself or those around you. Now to move on.
Sheree:So the next thing I kind of picked up on as a symbol was the letter. Okay, so they deliver this letter to the main headquarters developer and behind that is they indicate opportunities and challenges. So this could mean, like that, the opportunity. The challenges are that the, the cosplayer is showing there is an insurmountable challenge in this stone king and his faction taking control of the entire realm and causing everything to go out of balance, but they're also creating possible opportunities to improve the lives of the players within their realm. So there's so many layers to this dream. I mean we've got your conscious self, your unconscious self, you've got the dream itself, then you've got the person who's playing the game and then you've got the person that is playing the game is into the real world and then there's this other player character. So I'm sorry that we're on seems like we're continually bouncing between different elements of this dream, but if you can stick with me, it it will. It'll make sense in the end what I think is going on here. So the cosplayer delivers this letter trying to improve things for the realm, essentially by removing the stone king's invulnerability to meta weapons.
Sheree:The final symbol that I picked up on that was never actually mentioned is world. Okay, and I really enjoy looking at tarot decks and the cards and the symbolism of the cards. So the world is actually the world of a massive multiplayer online game. In order for it to be successful, you have to create an entire world, right? So that's where I'm finding that symbol. The world is actually a card in in the tarot deck. So the world card is part of the major arcana in the tarot deck and it's symbolic of creation and victory. It is represented by the number 21 and its picture denotes the key that is given to one upon turning 21 and earning their place in the world. The four corners of the world belong to the member, as do each of the two wands in their hands, representing a perfect balance of opposites like consciousness and unconsciousness, masculine and feminine, and matter and spirit.
Sheree:To dream that the world is coming to an end suggests that you're under a tremendous level of stress. You may be feeling vulnerable or helpless in some situation. To dream that you're saving the world signifies confidence in your abilities and belief in yourself. You have a positive perspective of life and in where you are headed. And in where you are headed. Don't let someone or something prevent you from progressing toward this or question your abilities. Okay, so that's kind of what I picked up on for world, which feeds into what I believe, is the overall meaning of this dream and, as I stated in the first episode, this is just my analysis. To get a true interpretation, you would really need to talk to the person that had the dream and go over the elements and the possible symbolism that's involved in the metaphors that are very specific to each dreamer and their mind. There could be a very different meaning, but the ones that I pick up on on the surface lead me to this idea of what the dreamer is experiencing. So it wasn't my story, but I do feel like I figured it out and I know what the applicability is.
Sheree:The dreamer has a healthy sense of their worldview regarding balance, justice and fairness. The stone king represents someone who has transcended that balance, whether they're justified in earning that status or not. The player threatens the balance of the world and some kind of checks and balances must exist to correct that seemingly unpalatable set of wrongs caused. Perhaps the dreamer realizes injustice in the world around them. Likely those injustices are related to those who are wealthy or privileged, or could possibly be suppressing this person in some way or preventing them from advancing, or could even be causing them either significant emotional or physical trauma, depending on how they see others and perhaps how they see themselves it feels. Just it will explain whether they feel justified in acting to correct these unfair advantages by anyone. So it depends kind of, if they're watching someone else act to improve the situation, how they feel about the person acting out to improve that situation. About the person acting out to improve that situation, if they support them, if they feel like it's a lost cause. Those feelings and who is playing those roles really makes a big difference in the psyche of this person and how they feel like responsibilities lie in the roles and responsibilities of your own life, your waking life and correcting wrongs. So I just come back to saying let me empower everyone to again, you know, act out.
Sheree:I saw something on Facebook recently, on one of the pages I follow, that basically it was this woman who was in a line to get shot in a pit and she said to the captor what happens to me if I step out of line? And they told her that she didn't want to know what would happen. She stepped out of line anyway and that woman wound up being the great grandmother of some other folks that are very successful and around today because she had the courage to step out of line. So, if you feel like you're trapped in some way, think about ways that you can influence your situation to move forward. I really love to hear some of your thoughts and maybe struggles that you have in your own life, especially people who are feeling trapped.
Sheree:I personally am feeling very trapped in my own life. Like I mentioned in the previous podcast with my brother, chris, I am going through a lot of transitions. If you have any dreams that you would like for me to look into, I also welcome that conversation, but for now, that's all I've got for you guys. I really enjoyed analyzing this for the poster on Reddit and that's all I've got for you. So whatever your cuppa was, may it overflow, thank you.
