Taylor Bossung: From Indiana to Hong Kong & How to build a career in Economics, Research and Crisis Management | Lee Education Podcast EP 3

In this episode, I interviewed a close friend of mine, Taylor Bossung. He’s the Director of Communications and Public Affairs at BitMEX, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, and he also helps me mentor some of my students who want to pursue international relations, economics, politics or communications as a major. Taylor is the epitome of a globetrotter. Growing up in Indiana and attending Indiana University Bloomington, he first worked for a nonprofit in Washington DC, then went to Qatar where he started a new career in public relations. He then moved to Hong Kong to work as a public affairs/ PR consultant - one of his clients being the Central Bank of the Philippines. After years of consulting, he decided to go ‘in house’ working for BitMEX and he’s been navigating the world of crypto ever since. The aim of this episode is to show how pursuing unconventional or seemingly unpopular career or major pathways can benefit students or even young adults.
