Show Notes

In a special bonus episode of HPP, Drew Barton and Rich Harris sit down with basketball legend Len Elmore.  Topics include the greatest team to never make the NCAA Tournament, the 1972 Olympics, the ABA vs. the NBA, all-time greats, such as Wilt Chamberlain, Pistol Pete, and Bill Walton, and the state of the game today.

Elmore graduated from the University of Maryland in 1974, where he was a three-time All-ACC selection and an All-American in ‘74. He is still Maryland's all-time leading rebounder, in both total rebounds and rebounds per game.  The 13th overall pick in the 1974 NBA Draft, he played a total of 10 years in the ABA and NBA.  Following his playing career, Len earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1987, and since then, his numerous projects and endeavors have included practicing law, serving as the president of the National Basketball Retired Players Association, working as a broadcast analyst for ESPN, CBS, Fox, and others, serving on the board of the “Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics,” and teaching at Columbia University.
