The RG10 magazine has published its 100th edition!
In this episode we hear from magazine founder, editor and publisher Nikki Ochtman as she reflects on a journey that started in 2009.
Nikki shares some of the initial aims she had for the magazine: “I've always been keen on supporting small local businesses and promoting themes such as shop local, protecting the vulnerable in society and doing our bit to minimise our impact on the environment. All of these themes I think are quite consistent in the magazine, but I really just wanted to provide a vehicle for local clubs and societies to share their community news more widely across the villages and give businesses an affordable and effective way of showcasing what they do and reaching their target audience in a way that had been limited to them before.”
And her hopes for the future: "It would be nice to think it would still be around in another ten years but who knows! I'll have to get better at delegating and start focusing on the actual business and make it a proper living as opposed to a passion hobby!"
