I speak about the conservative hysterics over the "woke" film The Odyssey.

Hello, hello, hello, John Mason. How is everybody? Hope you're all well. Well, to celebrate my upcoming birthday, never mind which one, I plan to see The Odyssey, you know, directed by Christopher Nolan. And the the way far right is getting freaked out because it has a black person, black woman performing in it, and also a transgender man. I mean they they never run out of things to whine about, do they? And woke means, for the I'm saying it for the hundredth millionth time, woke means you're paying attention to what's going on around you. You're aware of the racism and poverty and homophobia, all the negative things in society. I always bring it up. Why about uh black people uh being recorded in history and black people recording history and a mention of um LGBTQ plus people and women. Either you're a hundred percent dominant or you're a hundred percent submissive. No middle ground, no let's work this out. They're about domination, and they do have to do anything to prevent those on the bottom rail, like the aforementioned groups, uh, from ever attaining any sense form of empowerment. That's that's uh that's a conservative mentality in a nutshell. Of course, I have trouble with nutshell explanations, but anyway. Let us not be swayed by by these fools who whine whine about minorities uh asserting themselves. Besides, the Odyssey is one of the great epic poems by Homer. It was written about uh millennia ago describing the Trojan War. In this case, uh the return of Odysseus from the Trojan War to his home in Ithaca. And it's all mythology. It comes out of uh Greece's Bronze Age. It's all stories, fables. With maybe some uh some nuggets of uh historical reality to it. And so let's not let this spoil our fun. These rant people ranting and raving about about being woke. Like with the time when the when uh Bud Light uh put on put a transgender uh content creator on on his cans of beer and everybody got hysterical about it. And and a Texas governor, Greg Asshole uh Abbott proclaimed, go broke, go woke, go broke. Like, how dare minority groups assert themselves? That's what we're fighting in. That's what we're going to fight in our movies and in our politics. Let's do it. And on that sharing note, advertisements, the fun part.
