Welcome to episode 77 of Return to Authenticity
This week's guest is Eric Daddario, a Boston native who grew up with a passion, an obsession, that was hockey. He played for hours whenever he could get outside and skate or play street hockey. Eric's dream was to play Division 1 hockey in a state powerhouse known for top-notch, tough, hockey talent. It would take ultimate focus and determination, which Eric was more than willing to give. What he did not count on was losing sight in his right eye to a freak accident when he was in the eighth grade. He wouldn't be deterred and put in even more effort to overcome this health challenge and accomplished his goal - playing hockey for 4 years at the Division 1 level.
What he encountered next in life would have dropped most men to their knees. Eric's brother accidentally overdosed after years fighting a drug problem and lost his life. Eric used this crushing loss to refocus and dedicate his life to helping other young men and women athletes understand the power of a single decision and how to overcome difficulty in their lives.
