We officially kick off the new season, Season 3, with Michael O'Brien.
Michael was a super successful executive in marketing, leading a $700 million brand and had all the trappings of success. Below the surface, though he was continually feeling like he had to "chase happiness" before he "made it".
Life changed for Michael when he was hit head on by an SUV while riding his bicycle. The wreck should have killed him but he somehow survived. A period of darkness, anger, fear and depression gripped him as he contemplated his new life of limitations.
A mentor shared the thought that all events are neutral until we label them and asked Michael to consider if this event happened FOR him, rather than TO him. After grappling with this idea for some time, Michael turned the corner and began to consider the moment of his wreck as his Last Bad Day.
